Such a scam..I call customer service and they tell me that I signed up for once a week shipments! I did no such thing. There wasn't even that option on the site that I filled out, I went over it with a fine toothed comb with my husband at the time. What's with the 'we may send you orders more or less frequently'? A business shouldn't be ran that way at all. It says at the bottom in fine print that you get bi-weekly shipments but they may send them more often and you'll get to pay for every single shipment even if it is every week instead of every other. Half the time, it was not even the right coffee! They tell me to send it back, but they won't send me a confirmation email saying they have received it and that my refund is being sent. Sounds fishy to me..

I placed my first order with them less than 10 days ago. They are supposed to be bi=monthy or twice a month. Now they have charged over 78.00 to my credit card. I just got the first box of coffee with the preliminary offer in it three days ago. I will be contacting our BBB's office and the appropriate law enforcement officials. This is a major rip off.

You don't have time to try the coffe or cancel after the first shipment before they start charging your card loads of money.

i am so glad i had found out this complaint site about seattle coffee direct. this company is a total scam. beware! after i signed up for the $2.00 trial offer, i've got my order but they've sent tea and coffee flavors that i did not order. so i called them and complained about the wrong flavors that they've sent. the representative assured me that they will send me the flavors that i've ordered and even assured me that i won't be billed for the wrong shipment and i don't have to return the coffees and teas. so another shipment came and the flavor was wrong again. it happened three times in a row. so i keep calling about the wrong flavor and i was told that i am not being charged at all since i always received the wrong flavors. but when i called my credit card company i' ve found out that they keep charging me for the flavors that they keep sending. eventhough on the packet shipment got $00.00
total charge for each. they took over $300.00 on my account. when i called their office again and cancel everything and confronted them about the issues they are really rude, one rep. even hang-up on me. and they don't have email address. got a hard time calling their office too. they send coffees and teas that i did not order. i am going to return everything that they've sent and hoping that they will refund everything that they charged me. i hate this company and the people behind it. i am going to report them to business bureas. they are sssssoooooooo FAKE!

I filed a complaint with the Better Business Bureau on a Saturday. I received a reply from BBB first thing Monday and the coffee company responded that same day. My money was refunded within three days. Good luck!

Seattle Coffee Direct is absolutley a rip off. I kept receiving pounds of coffee on a weekly basis, even though I wrote refused on the package and UPS took them back, Seattle Coffee Direct kept removing $39.70 out of my account. I was told by Seattle Coffee to write refused on the package. They also told me that they stopped shipments, and they also told me my money would be refunded 1 to 2 business days, now it's 30 days for a refund. Shipments have stopped but no money has been refunded to me.

Oredered a package of coffee from them, with in 2 days I had 2 orders I had not placed since they said you had 15 days to cancel membership. I called the company to see what needed to be done. They said refuse the package and they will send it back to them. Well it was shipped UPS and they dropped it off at the post office. I personally took the packages to the postoffice and dropped them off on June 22, 2009. I waited for almost a month and called them back, they said it takes 6 to 8 weeks for them to receive the packages and that they had not recevied them yet. So I waited 2 more weeks and called back, they said they did not have them. I asked them to do a trace on the packages and they wanted me to do it, I told them that the shipper has to run a trace, but they did not want to do their job. So I called UPS and they could not give any info except they showed it being picked up. on August 20, I called again and gave the lady my information and she said she was going to get my refund started. I called on October 2, and said my refund was put in and I should get it in 10 days. I called today October 26, and they said they had a complete computer crash and lost all refunds (shocker) I am now told that it will take 14 business days for my card to be refunded. I will be calling back on that day I am sure of.
I am very dissappointed with this company and do not know how they can stay in business. This company is a PHARSE! I will be sending this to the BBB and hopefully they can do something.

I thought I was only ordering 2 pounds of coffee for a nominal introductory charge, but after I received my coffee, I was charged $25 plus two separate foreign transaction fees. I thought the charge was more than I agreed to, but I chalked it down to not thoroughly reading the fine print. Then the following week I was charged $79 for coffee I never received and another $79 was charged to my account the week after that so I'm out about $190! I'm cancelling my card and filing a dispute now, but based on the complaints I've read, I'm not very hopeful that my money will be refunded.

I just got off the phone with them and I am another one of the scam victims. I ordered their coffee and then I cancelled my order, 3 months later I see a charge on my account. I was like what the heck? Their answer was that they never received my cancellation adn who did I talk to? Who did I talk to? Like I am going to remember a name from 3 months ago. I said it was a guy, as if I wrote it down. Anyway, I reported them to the BBB. The government needs to investigate this company and their business practices, this is illegal! What are we supposed to do, stop shopping online? By the way, a little fyi, this company is owned by a parent company, PEEL, INC. And they have many companies, D+ on the BBB scale.

I signed up to receive a promotion from Gevalia coffee about a week ago. I received the coffee and was billed the $3.00 for it. I cancelled subscription. I just received an overdraft from my bank with a $79.00 charge from Seattle Coffee Direct, which I had never heard of. I never received any coffee from them. The only way they could have gotten my card info was from Gevalia, I didnt sign up to receive anything from Seattle Coffee Direct. No coffee is worth $79.00 to me and I wouldn't have gotten it.

I was just charged $79 by their other persona, PosterPass.com a few days ago. It seems like $79 is their current favorite number and they're making fraudulent charges for that amount all over the place. I do not have a "membership" to their site and haven't purchased anything from them... it's 100% theft.

I contacted my bank, the Better Business Bureau, AND their "customer service" line... I'm just hoping it results in getting my money back! Good luck to you. :(

I too have been a victom of the seattle bean company scam i thought i was purchasing a sample product and the next thing i know ive recieved 5 shipments totaling over $190 .00 after about the second shipment i called the company to find out why i was recieving so much coffee they said i had agreed to the purchase which i didnt . at that point i canceled any subscription to their product and was told by their customer service just to return it for a refund which i did .but here it is three months later and i still havent gotton a refund i called the company for a second time and their rep said to send my last package directly to their office and not the wearhouse and i would have a quicker response .when i sent it back to the new location i placed a tracker on the package to see how long it would take to reach them and to make sure it did .well it took just three days to reach their office still no refund . ive disputed their charges w/ my credit card company they think there a repedable company . i guess they havent done buisness w/ them I WOULD SUGGEST THAT NO-ONE DO BUISNESS WITH THEM

Beware dealing with this company! They ended up billing me for coffee and tea to the tune of $250.00. I refused shipment per their instructions after I complained. They have yet to refund my payments and this has been going on since August. What a rip off!

I want to say that Seattle Coffee Direct is a huge scam... I signed up for their trial offer and got over charged too... Then I took care of it told them I didn't want anything from them anymore and they refunded that money. Imagine my surprise when I checked my account today, a year later, and they had taken out 79.00 dollars.. I tried to call them and was hung up on three times... when I finally got to talk to someone they said it was a computer era. I told them my money better be refunded... they told me it would be but we will see... watch your backs when it comes to this scam. This is a serious thing when times are as hard as they are now!

We were scammed too just this morning for 79.63. Tried calling the company at [protected] & [protected] SEVERAL TIMES but was told "all reps are busy" over and over again. I finally was able to leave a message for CUSTOMER SERVICE... can you believe it? Leave a message for customer service! The .63 cents that was charged seperatly from the 79.00 was for an "international fee" ... sounds pretty darn suspicious to me... like someone's transferring our money oversea's? Anyway, I will report this to the BBB and see if that helps. I've also contacted my credit card company to dispute this charge... This company is pathetic!

Wow, I'm in a similiar situation. (Feel stupid for ever signing up now). Especially through Facebook! Facebook and other websites like it should not promote this company. I have been trying to call them all day, and been on hold for ridiculously long times, never been able to get to a live person. I am attempting it today again. I originally signed up for a promotion, paid the shipping, received the coffee. I wanted to continue their services, until the following month, when I was charged $99 for two bags of coffee, that doesn't even last me a whole month! So I cancelled the service, let them KEEP the $99, and was advised that all services would cease. Than two days ago, I get charged $79. This doesn't make any sense. And now, I can't get through to this company to get this credited. GRRRRRR! Either way, do NOT use this company. I opted for EASY, being the lazy self that I am, and now its causing me more work. Totally NOT worth it.

Hi,
I was scammed too by these people. I was charged once for the 5 for $25 then again 1 week later for $39. After that I canceled my account got a confirmation number and 2 months later charged again for 2 months worth of coffee at $79. I called them and they told me all I have to do it send back the product to get a refund (by the way it takes 3 weeks for me to get my stuff from them)but that doesn't help my overdraft charge to my bank account. The lady I spoke with said they have no information on my account cancellation and will still be charged every 2 weeks like normal. I canceled again that day and still have not received my confirmation number in an email like they said they were going to do. She wouldn't let me even talk to the supervisor because he was at lunch for the 3 hours that I kept calling back. I have been calling yet again for 2 hours today and can't get a hold of anyone.

I file a complaint at the www.ic3.gov website. this is an fbi collaberation with other agencies to try and stop internet fraud and scams. I do not think it will get back my money however. to do that I think that those of us that have been ripped off by these people should file a lawsuit against them. I just do not know how and i would probably not have the resource to start it. I WOULD BE GLAD TO JOIN ANY LAWSUIT THAT MAY ALREADY HAVE BEEN FILED !

as it is the money they stole sent my bank account into overdrawn and that bounced many other things which all got insufficient fund fees applied. ...long story short ... this has cost me hundreds in fees and of course the unrequested billings every few days ( which I did finally get them to stop) ...they have been telling me it would be a few more days ...for 4 months now.
... now they will not even answer the number they had... luckily i did see this other number [protected]) here on this site I had been using the [protected] number until they quit answering it.

please join together against these criminals. or they will continue to pray on people !

I entered a trial offer with the seattle coffee company. Received my 2 mugs and 2 bags of coffee. Next thing I know my account keeps getting debited 38.95.. I called the company and canceled. No problem. Now it is November and they are charging my account $79.00. Called the company, the lady said she would credit my account when I return the order. What order? It has been almost 2 weeks and I have not received any order. Filed a complaint with the Better Business Bureau, the coffee company responded that they would refund me within 72 hours. It is hour 56, not refunded yet, but then they have 16 more hours. Do NOT ever use this company. Hopefully, I will receive my refund, if not on hour 72, I am filing another complaint with the BBB.

Terrible company to do business with. Continues to send orders and bills my credit card with double charges even after i finally recieve an cancellation number last Sept. It took me 3 months of trying to reach cust. service to cancel. After only agreeing to try a sample, it has cost me over $600.00 dollars in charges I have not authorized and I just received another $79.00 charge 3 days ago on my credit card. I have been trying for 3 days now to reach someone in Cust.Service and have left a call back request 2 or 3 times each day and still cannot reach anyone. I will never do business these people again. They have also billed me from a company called Java Direct with duplicate bills for the same orders as seattle Coffee Direct. When am I going to get these folks to quit billing me for orders i don't want

Scam, I was suppose to have a trial of two bags of coffee and two coffee mugs at a $5.00 charge. That turned into a $25.00 unauthorized charge. This all happened in March 2009, I cancelled on the internet after not recieving anything except an unauthorized charge. I had not heard anything from them until November 5, 2009, then out of the blue they charged me $79.00, for what I have no idea, I called my bank and had to put in for a fraudulent charge. Then yes on November 12, 2009 another $79.00 unauthorized charge.

Rec'd first shipment after signing up through FACEBOOK...O.K. coffee. Received second shipment in a matter of days...then another four days later, then yet another four days after that! When I called to cancel due to what I felt was a gross misrepresentation on their part, I was told that another shipment had been sent out already that day! So, a total of five shipments in less than one month. The original shipment was $2.00, but each subsequent shipment was $39.70.

Two shipments were returned via UPS on 9/29/09, and I have yet to see a refund. I have left three messages when the phone was not answered, the calls were never returned. I was told today when I finally got through to someone named Demetrius, that they received the coffee on 11/13/09. Did I mention it was shipped on 9/29/09? He said it gets rec'd by the company, then has to go to customer service, then a refund is issued.

Well, my refund is supposed to be issued first statement in December. I will give them the time to do so. If I do not receive my refund, I am contacting my credit card company, the BBB, the USPS, and the Attorney General's office.

All this for some O.K. coffee which I would have not minded receiving if they didn't take complete advantage by sending me five shipments in one month! Shame on them if they think they are getting away with this.

I replied to a offer for $2.00 I could get two bags of coffee and 2 travel mugs, I got the package and tried the coffee, it really wasn't all that great, I called the number that was in the paperwork and at that time I was told a new package was already on the way, and that 2 more were coming after that...Now at this time I am livid, how many days is a free trial? I replied on the 11th of Sept, got the coffee on the 14th and that same day they sent out a new package, then again on the 21st and the 22nd! My bank account had been charged $39.70 for each of these transactions that were never authorized! I called several times and each time was told that it will be a few weeks and I would see the credits back on my account, I also had the promise of a call back from a manager, I had also left messages, nothing has happened, no call back, no credits...finally I contacted my bank and they are investigating the fraud of this company...hopefully I will see something back into my account within 15 days...This has really put a bad taste in my mouth over all of this...I will in the future google a company before taking part in a "free" trial again

Has anyone been able to reverse the charges.

We orderd the coffee on 2/26/09 and received the original 38.95 charge on 3/1/09.
On March 23rd we canceled the order and got a confirmation number.
NINE months later we received 2 12 oz. bags of coffee and were charged nearly $160 - two charges of 79.99 on 11/2/09 and again on 11/12/09. We called AGAIN and received ANOTHER confirmation number and still have not had the charges refunded. Any suggestions?

This is theft beyond fraud.

True, true, I also did the "one time" $5.00 deal for Mafia Wars. Thought the mugs would make a nice gift. Then the shipments and charges started piling up. Called, asked to cancel and how to redund. Was told to return coffee and it would be 30 days, well its been alomost 50 days now. Just got off the phone, the rep said, "We have no record of the coffee being returned." Get a tracking #, they will ask for it. Now I am being told it may be another "2 billing cycles" before I see a return. I am contacting my card, and reporting these as fraud!
