I had a car accident when I was delivering packages for Amazon Flex
I had a car accident when I was delivering packages for Amazon Flex. They sent my claim to Sedgwick. That was 7 months ago. I got diagnosed with chronic back pain and nothing has been done about it yet. This is really outrageous.
My mailbox post got hit by the Home Depot delivery truck on 8/08
My mailbox post got hit by the Home Depot delivery truck on 8/08. Home Depot customer service filed an insurance claim to Segwick Insurance Co. who handles all liability damage from their delivery truck on the same day of the damage. They told me that Segwick rep should call me within 24 hrs to resolve this damage. It took 2 weeks before their rep, Mr. Spencer Emigh, called me. However, after sending several photos of the damage as well as finding an Iron Wrought company who can replace it handle and sending him an invoice, so far the Segwick company still hasn't reimbursed my damage yet. Very poor customer service. They don't handle the claim in a timely manner. I can't get my mails and end up having to pay for the mailbox replacement myself. They still haven't sent me any reimbursement claim yet.
No response since august 8th 2023. I got into an accident on July 25th with a driver insured through AVIS. I filed a claim and heard nothing back. I called and emailed to get updates to no avail. I called my claims adjuster Carolyn Shutack that lives in Stow OH 216.328.3522 to get an update. After many calls Carolyn answered only to tell me she is in a meeting (said with an attitude) She then berates me for " never having my claim number ready" despite this being the first time we talked. She then told me that they were waiting for "Google authorization" whatever the F that is. I have sent numorous emails and have called multiple times with no luck. At one time Carolyn went on Vacation and the message stated that Mrs. Perelta 501.251.2469 was covering. I called her and you guys would never guess...she didnt call back either...the BBB dont lie "F"

Sedgwick approved my medical leave from 12/28/22/28/23
Sedgwick approved my medical leave from 12/28/22/28/23. I submitted my last medical review on 02/21/23, which said I could go back to work full time. But on March 3, 2023, they called and said I should have returned on 02/07/23 according to a nurse's opinion. This doesn't make sense because on 02/02/23, I had more medical issues and my pcp sent me for labs to figure out what's wrong. On March 5, I appealed and sent in medical documents to support my appeal. By early morning on 03/06, Sedgwick had already denied my claim without properly reviewing the documents I sent earlier. They told me that my Hr would take back the money I was paid from 02/07/28/22. No one is helping me, and they are causing financial problems for me because no one wants to pay for 02/27. They might even take money from my check for their mistake. They have completely discouraged me from filing for intermittent leave because I still have health problems, and they used up my sick time without asking me.

I went shopping at a local store and when I got back to my car, I saw a shopping cart had hit my passenger side door, causing a lot of damage. The store directed me to contact Sedgwick, their insurer. After discussions with a representative for over two weeks, they denied responsibility. The store's property caused the damage, yet the insurer insists I pay. Sedgwick withheld surveillance footage and didn't justify their decision. The sloped parking lot allows carts to hit cars easily. I'm now expected to use my insurance and pay a $500 deductible, risking premium hikes. The store manager was aware of prior incidents but neglected preventative measures. It seems customer satisfaction and ratings are not their priority.
Is Sedgwick Legit?

Sedgwick as a website that uses an external review system. While this can provide valuable feedback and insights, it's important to carefully evaluate the source of the reviews and take them with a grain of salt.
We looked up Sedgwick and found that the website is receiving a high amount of traffic. This could be a sign of a popular and trustworthy website, but it is still important to exercise caution and verify the legitimacy of the site before sharing any personal or financial information
However ComplaintsBoard has detected that:
- While Sedgwick has a high level of trust, our investigation has revealed that the company's complaint resolution process is inadequate and ineffective. As a result, only 0% of 14 complaints are resolved. The support team may have poor customer service skills, lack of training, or not be well-equipped to handle customer complaints.
- Sedgwick protects their ownership data, a common and legal practice. However, from our perspective, this lack of transparency can impede trust and accountability, which are essential for establishing a credible and respected business entity.
- We conducted a search on social media and found several negative reviews related to Sedgwick. These reviews may indicate issues with the company's products, services, or customer support. It is important to thoroughly research the company and its offerings before making any purchases to avoid any potential risks.

My complaint is cuz I filed an insurance claim on January 6th. I talked to the adjuster and she told me to send emails and she'd get back to me. But I ain't heard nothin' from her since then. I've been bounced around tryin' to get in touch with my adjuster. I've sent lots of emails, left voicemails, and wrote letters tryin' to get a response from the insured for 90 days. The reason I'm in a hurry is 'cause I got exposed electrical wiring and I wanna fix it before somethin' really bad happens, but I don't know how to do the claim stuff. Sedgwick's insured is a contractor I hired when I bought my house. I hired him to check the house, see what repairs were needed, and tell me if it was safe. But he didn't know what he was doin', wasn't licensed, and couldn't even get permits like he said he could. He "replaced" my electrical box, but it ain't up to code. There's wires stickin' out and other stuff that's super dangerous. He also messed up my HVAC system. He took out all the insurance and duct work under my house, so now I don't have central heating or air conditioning. To fix all the damage, they're tellin' me it's gonna cost over $50,000. I really need this work done for a bunch of reasons. My daughter has a health condition and I gotta keep her meds cool, plus the breakers in my box keep trippin' randomly. Thank you!

I've been on maternity leave for 8 weeks, and Sedgwick is supposed to pay me 100% for the first 8 weeks, with my employer covering the additional 6 weeks. However, I haven't received any payment from them, and they owe me $4525.66. After giving birth, I filled out the direct deposit form and emailed it back to them. They didn't receive it, so they decided to mail my checks to my home address without including my PO Box. When the checks arrived at the post office, they were refused because there was no PO Box listed. Normally, the post office would forward them to my box, but since they were checks, they had to be returned to the sender. Nobody contacted me or realized the checks were being returned until I reached out to them at the end of January. My claims manager, ***, apologized and asked me to resend the direct deposit form, which I did an hour later on 2/10/22. She later informed me that due to the large amount, it needed approval from the financial department. (I did receive 2 physical checks somehow, but the rest have been canceled. I was able to deposit one of the checks, $468, into my account yesterday.) I've contacted them 6 times since then, but I'm not making any progress. *** has reached out to me multiple times, but she can't help with getting the money approved and deposited into my checking account. This is my benefit, and they are legally obligated to pay me. I've only received $468 from them in the past 8 weeks. Where is my money? Why is it taking so long? How much longer do I have to wait?
On January 3, 2023, I had a problem with my apartment's roof and it caused damage to my property
On January 3, 2023, I had a problem with my apartment's roof and it caused damage to my property. I tried to get my renter's insurance to cover it, but they said no because of the type of leak. Then on January 26, 2023, my property manager told me that she talked to her boss and they would take care of the damages through their insurance company, Sedgwick. This was the second time this kind of thing happened, so my property manager said Sedgwick would cover it. I tried to contact the person in charge of the claim at Sedgwick, ***, from January 27th to February 14th. Finally, on February 15, she called me once and said she was handling the claim and had everything she needed to fix my damages. But since then, I've tried to contact her many times through email and phone to get an update, and she's just giving me the run-around and not doing a good job with my claim. Sedgwick doesn't make it easy to get help or find out what's going on with my claim. She told my property manager that there's no reason not to pay for my damages, but she keeps telling me that the claim is still "under review" and hasn't given me any updates. I gave them everything they asked for and they said they would pay, but it's been over six weeks and I still haven't gotten any money or a solution. There's no reason why this should be taking so long when they already admitted it was their fault, except that they're trying to avoid paying. I just want them to keep their promise and pay for my damages.
We purchased a Front load washer from a retailer on 12/15
We purchased a Front load washer from a retailer on 12/15. The detergent drawer began leaking in July , prompting us to request a repair technician. Two service tickets were issued, and a repair technician from A&E visited. On October 20, the technician ordered a replacement detergent drawer under warranty. The new unit arrived, and a different technician installed it on November 11. Post-installation, we discovered dents on the washer's stainless steel front. We reported the damage to A&E the next day. A&E referred the issue to Sedgwick, a third-party claims handler, and we received claim number L2111165018-0001. Since then, we've struggled to get updates on our claim. Despite daily calls and repeated emails, we've received no responses. We're seeking to determine if the washer front can be replaced due to the technician's negligence. We've taken photos of the dents for evidence. The lack of customer service from the retailer and A&E, as well as the unresponsiveness of Sedgwick representatives, has been frustrating. We're inquiring if our washer's front can be replaced. As of March 7, 2022, we've been attempting to resolve these issues since the leak in July and the subsequent damage in November .
We bought a new car in March for my husband's work
We bought a new car in March for my husband's work. The company covered the insurance and had specific requirements for the vehicle. In July , he got into an accident while working, not his fault. We were without a car for almost 6 months while it was being repaired. *** fixed the car, and the insurance company, overseen by Sedgwick, paid for the damages. However, we've been having a constant problem with noise since then. It was found to be the left axle, which was impacted in the collision. We took it to *** Service and spoke with ***, who said the claim needed to be reopened for additional repairs. This was done on 11/29/2022 by *** at ***, and on 11/30/2022, *** at Sedgwick opened a supplement and asked *** to call the IA for rush completion. We received a PDF file with the supplement amount, but we're still waiting for payment so we can fix the car. After weeks of waiting, *** and I reached out, and *** replied that a different department handles the payment for the supplement repair. Since then, we've called multiple phone numbers, sent numerous emails, but Sedgwick keeps passing us off to someone else. They've mentioned at least six people who were supposed to help, but none of them returned our calls or messages. The last person in charge was ***, but she never answered or returned calls. She did respond to an email asking for the amount owed, even though I attached their own supplement review PDF with the amount. *** replied immediately with the amount, but she hasn't responded again since last Monday.

Returning to work post-injury, I faced hurdles with insurance claims and coverage. It's tough to get a reply in a week. Despite emails and calls, responses are rare. I've resorted to different numbers to reach the adjuster, only to encounter rushed and hostile talks. Recently, when I called about missing payments, I was met with rudeness and couldn't get a word in. The adjuster's demeanor was condescending, and he ended the call abruptly. I believe such conduct persists because it's rarely reported. It's unprofessional and demeaning, especially to those seeking assistance and case understanding.

Ive emailed and called and no matter how many voicemails there no response. Ive had to call from other numbers to reach the adjuster *** and when I do its a rushed and aggressive conversation. I recently called about not being paid and i was mistreated with rude and abrasive tone. Wasnt able to speak and explain my reasoning for calling. *** was belligerent and demeaning. Very unprofessional and degrading to someone seeking help and understanding of a case.
