Service Line Warranties of Canada I had Service Line Warranties of Canada come out to fix my clogged waterline

I had Service Line Warranties of Canada come out to fix my clogged waterline. They sent a plumber who did a good job fixing the cold water supply and replacing the valve. However, they left the hot water supply corroded and without a valve. I was pretty upset about that. Who does work like that? It's just not right.

Service Line Warranties of Canada Service Line Warranties came to my house four times for a problem with sewage coming up from the drain in my basement shower stall

Service Line Warranties came to my house four times for a problem with sewage coming up from the drain in my basement shower stall. They couldn't use a camera to find the issue, and I don't think they can say I need a repair in their report. The plumber said I might have a connection problem, but that's not enough for them to fix it.

Service Line Warranties of Canada I got the warranty for Exterior Sewar, Interior plumbing and Drainage & water service Line

I got the warranty for Exterior Sewar, Interior plumbing and Drainage & water service Line. I had to call for service on Friday 13th August and the technician came on Saturday 14th for the first call for a small leak in the basement. They fixed it with professional, timely and courteous service and at no charge to me. Once again I had to call them again on Sunday 15th August for another leak and Shawn did a very professional job today Monday 16th. I couldn't ask for better service and the great quality of work they do. I was reading the reviews and some said that it's a scam but I can tell you that it's not. Once you've paid your contract dues you don't have to worry about additional charges.

Service Line Warranties of Canada I got some worries about the company's accounting

I got some worries about the company's accounting. The invoices got reference numbers and plan numbers, but my numbers don't match. Why not have one account number and put all the info on correspondence? I was using paper billing, went online to go paperless in April, updated all credit card info. Monday I got a notification that my account would be canceled 7 July. I called on 6th (letter only received on 4th) and was told my account was canceled. So I reregistered. Then went online found a discrepancy in billing - one bill was $62.10 but online was $58.71. HST is 13%, so figure that one out. I called back and was told by the rep that because I had selected paper billing I couldn't just change to paperless online. Yet the system allowed me to. I want this service but accounting needs to be cleaned up.

Service Line Warranties of Canada This company, after we signed up, didn't send the plan via email that was promised

This company, after we signed up, didn't send the plan via email that was promised. We got the welcome email saying we would get the plan via email within 2-3 days. Four days passed and we called to find out where the plan was - they confirmed the email address and promised we would get the plan via email within 24-48 hours. This time passed again, we called this morning, and they promised to send it again (email address confirmed). The representative told us he had to send a request for an email to be sent (another department) and this would be another couple of days. It's ridiculous to go through so much effort to get the plan documents. It doesn't give us confidence in this company to get things done. On the good side, we asked for a refund of our 2 plans and after explaining why we need a full refund, not prorated, they delivered. This may be a case of "too good to be true". We did need coverage but will find it somewhere else. I would advise others to be careful of this service.

Service Line Warranties of Canada I talked to Miranda in the accounting department today

I talked to Miranda in the accounting department today. I sent two cheques for exterior sewer and exterior water lines on May 17th, 2022, but they haven't been cashed yet. I got two reminder notices in the meantime. Miranda told me today that it takes 4-6 weeks for the cheques to clear. But I was surprised to find out that on June 13 at 11.01, I had apparently authorized the payment to be taken on June 19th, 2022 (tomorrow) from my bank. I didn't authorize this, but I couldn't convince Miranda of that. She said the company didn't set this up. All I did was send two cheques. So it seems like they don't want cheques. I hope someone in charge can contact me to sort this out. Just before I called Miranda, I set up an account with SLW to check my account status. It looks like I don't owe anything until 2023. Miranda said this means I can't send any more cheques in the future.

Service Line Warranties of Canada On March 20, my sewer line got backed up inside my house and the house was filled with sewer gas

On March 20, my sewer line got backed up inside my house and the house was filled with sewer gas. Even though Service Line Warranties of Canada said they would help, they didn't send anyone to clear my sewer line. So, I called another plumbing company that came out and cleared the line. Thankfully, my family didn't have to leave our home. After a video inspection, it was discovered that the sewer line had extensive damage and roots in it. The plumbing company recommended replacing the line and did a radar locate on the main problem, a 3 inch root in a 4 inch line on the homeowners side of the sewer line. Finally, SLWC sent someone out on Tuesday, March 23. They cleared some of the roots but couldn't clear the big root that was blocking 75% of the line. They showed me the root on their camera and left. They said they wouldn't excavate to repair the line (40 feet out) and instead offered to destroy a bathroom and my basement to make a bigger cleanout.

Service Line Warranties of Canada I been with SLWC for 2 years & got coverage for 3 properties

I been with SLWC for 2 years & got coverage for 3 properties. I never used their services. On August 12th my tenant in Windsor told me about a blockage that needed fixing. When I called the agent, she saw that this & 1 other of the 3 properties were expiring the next day. She wouldn't send me a service agent unless I confirmed that I was renewing my policies. This seemed like extortion as the policies were still active & the problem happened & I was requesting help while the policy was active. So, I asked her what difference my plans about extending had to do with being provided service under a valid policy. She said she needed to know before arranging a service call. I asked to speak to a Supervisor & she said they were busy & would call me the next day. That was 17 days ago. Nobody has called or showed up to fix my problem so I hired someone to resolve it. Of course, I haven't renewed the 2 policies that expired, nor will I do so with the policies I still have.

Service Line Warranties of Canada I been waiting for 4 months and my sewer still not fixed

I been waiting for 4 months and my sewer still not fixed. I called SLW in June 2022 and told them I got a quote and just need them to approve it. They said they have their own contractor. I told them only 3 contractors can work on my problem due to the break being in the road. They still insisted on using their own. After many phone calls, they told me one of the 3 will contact me. I'm still waiting in Oct 2022. I'm fed up. A sewer break should be done asap. Waste of money and time. I want my line fixed in 30 days or a full refund of all payments. If I paid out of pocket, my sewer would be fixed already. I even asked to speak to a supervisor but no one called me back. Terrible customer service and terrible actual service.
