Our tech arrived with a trainee today and they went right to work. Very efficient in performing maintenance on our system. We have been customers for maintenance and any repairs for several years. We have had absolutely no issues with Service Today and will continue to be their clients into the future.
Dane is a friendly, knowledgeable professional who analyzed & corrected our AC problem. We will request him if we have future issues.

Today I had my Spring Maintenance performed on my air conditioner unit. Before the technicians arrived I was called and given an arrival time. Once they got here they were respectful and wore their masks and shoe coverings before entering my home. I have been working with Service Today for several years now. All of the techs, salesmen, office personnel have been great. Just got work done by Steve. This is not the first tome Steve has done work for us and he is always on time, professional, answers all of my questions and explains everything to me. He diagnosed and remedied an emerging problem with my system to avoid a certain breakdown in the coming hot months. How great was that! And he also performed work to prolong the life of my main system. A very worthy investment of time today.

Nick was great! He called me approximately an hour before arriving so I would be ready! He came in, booties over his shoes to protect my flooring and a mask to ensure safety protocols for COVID. He explained what he was going to do and how the process would occur. He was respectful of my time and my home. I truly appreciated his quality customer service and would recommend him (and Service Today) in the future!

The only reason Bill didn't get a 5 Star review is he didn't get the very last step in the house done right. Everything else I can see (I couldn't be there while he was working on our HVAC unit), I heard Bill go over with me (I made it back home as he was headed to his truck), and read from the invoice tell me he was very professional. What went wrong? Bill thought he had reset the thermostat from a low target cooling temperature back to the programmed mode, and told my wife it appeared to be working correctly. Six hours later, I realized why I was feeling cold in front of this computer; my wife had snuggled into bed under her thick blanket to get warmer so she was oblivious to the problem. The thermostat was not reset back into programmed mode, but stuck in the test setting --- 68 degF vs. desired 72 degF. It took 12-15 hours overnight to re-stabilize the house temperatures. For situations where the customer barely understands how to program / change their thermostat, this could have produced some much worse comfort issues and an unhappy customer. In our case, I've seen this happen before and knew what needed to be done. Bill is a younger technician, and instances like this should be learning experiences. Otherwise -- he looks promising and I'll be fine if you send him here again.

I called service today and told the girl I have a communicating thermostat and I told her what was on the screen. The thermastor was bad. I needed it changed.I was told the service people had one that fit my unit on their truck. I had called another company and they said they were booked solid for three to four weeks. They said,"it was easy and should only take about an hour. (they had worked on the unit while it was being installed) The service man came for service today and did not want to look at the thermostat before looking at the unit. They went straight under the house. I also followed them and told them what was on the thermostat. He opened the side panel and checked the compressor and the water (flow/temperature) he looked ot this and that them finally went up to the thermostat. He played with that and said," you got a bad Thermistor. I said that is why I called you and the girl had said you have one on your truck. He told me that he did not have any on the truck and gave me a bill for $232 for what he had done. I felt that he should have at least look at the thermostat before looking at the unit. He pushed a couple of buttons and it showed the thermistor was bad. He would have known that almost two hours before if he had looked at the thermostat first. He left and service called and said that the thermistor was under warranty and it would cost $300 to install it. They came and installed it and it only took about 10-15 minutes to put in and another 5 minutes to readjust the thermostat. I had thought by what the person had said it was something big and would take a long time to install it. We discussed why the large price to install it. They told me I had agreed to the price and they charge another $59 service call. I refused to pay it as I felt I had a knife slid between my ribs. The description on the internet you remove it by pulling it out of a clip on both ends and putting it back in the same way. the time should be 1-2 minutes. needless to say I refused to pay this bill as he should have had one to begin with and the time he spent under the house instead of reading what was on the thermostat to begin with. The total of both bills was $ 591.00 to replace a bad thermistor which cost between $11-18 from the internet. I feel that it should have been $59 for the service call and maybe another $ 50-75 to replace the bad thermistor as i was told one was on his truck.. I am being generous with one star, I am a 100% disabled veteran and am tired of being ripped off

i hired these plumber dudes to fix my shower but they messed it up and now the water only comes out cold! that ain't cool, especially when the guy using the shower is old and can't handle cold water. to make things worse, they flooded my other bathroom by letting a sink run with the stopper thingy locked. ridiculous! i contacted them to sort it out and they only offered a small discount, which is weak sauce. i feel like they're trying to scam me or something. when they sent someone back, it was the same dudes who botched it the first time. they seemed mad that i was complaining and made me uncomfortable in my own crib. awful customer service, wouldn't recommend!

I called up Service Today the other day because my furnace wasn't turning on
I called up Service Today the other day because my furnace wasn't turning on. I told the dude on the phone that I knew what was wrong with it because it happened before. They said they'd charge me $49 for a diagnosis. When the repair guy came, he went straight to the furnace and found out that the fuse was broken, just like I said it was. He fixed it, started the furnace back up, and left. He was only there for 10 minutes. When I got the bill, I was charged $208! Like, are you kidding me? All he did was replace a $3 fuse and was there for 10 mins. I called them up to complain but they said I couldn't do nothin' because I already signed the papers. So watch out, don't let them charge you an arm and a leg.

Had to get my heat pump/furnace looked at by Service Today on December 16th since it was part of my contract. Been their customer for a while now. The serviceman said I needed new duct work and ground cover in my crawl space as there was white fuzzy stuff. Cost me $8960.00 total. Called two other heating companies for second opinion and both of them said my duct work was fine. Service Today has done this before, told me things were wrong. I've complained to them many times, but they just make excuses for their people. Sent them an email on December 24th asking for half my contract money of $114.00 back 'cause I don't want them over anymore. Haven't heard a peep from them.

I waited for them to call but they didn't come until the next day after I called again. Billy showed up without a mask and replaced the thermostat. I had to buy a replacement for $49 and fix it myself or the basement could have flooded worse. COVID19 is real, wear a mask!
