Proceed with Caution: ShareASale.com Meta-Review
As someone deeply entrenched in the world of affiliate marketing, I must caution you about ShareASale.com. The reviews paint a grim picture - from poor customer service to questionable practices, it seems like a risky venture. Customers have reported issues with payments, lack of transparency, and even potential scams. While some have had positive experiences, the negative feedback is hard to ignore. If you're considering ShareASale.com, tread carefully and do thorough research before diving in.
My longest and best affiliate network partnership
Shareasale has been my biggest partner in my growth and success as an affiliate marketer. Their support has been top-notch from the very beginning, and it's only improved as my own needs changed and evolved.
I work with programs in multiple affiliate networks. I could give you an ordered list of my favorite network down to to the one I refuse to use because it's too difficult to work with. Sharesale is #1 as my favorite, and I give their programs priority in my own marketing efforts.
I freaking love this platform
I have been with ShareaSale as an affiliate for nearly 5 years. They are, HANDS DOWN, the best affiliate network out there. The platform is easy to use (I love the bookmarklet) and my emails are always responded to in a timely manner. Here's the thing with SaS, if you break their rules - they WILL kick you out. They fully support affiliates who are following their rules and those put forth by the FTC. So, if you're planning to do anything shady - don't sign up with SaS. If you're not - DO IT.

Great for affiliate marketing
I have been using shareasale for several years now as a way of finding great merchants to work with and products to promote on my blog and social media platforms. I have been getting monthly payouts for a couple of years and I'm always pleased with the positive interactions with all the staff members. They are very responsive to questions and always seem to be working to make the experience better for every one. It is one of my all time favorite platforms to use. It's easy to use and the people "running the show" behind the scenes are always kind, respectful, and helpful.
Easiest and most profitable affiliate to work with!
ShareASale is easy to navigate - especially more so now with recent site upgrades thanks to listening to affiliate suggestions. I am finding newsletters with deals and bonus opportunities from my merchants I am affiliated with that I was missing out on before. The brands and companies that work with ShareASale are ones that are valid to my reader base - reputable companies who offer us great commission percentages to promote their products. I love it! Plus when you have the CEO reaching out to all SAS's affiliates on a regular basis to stay in touch with bonus opps and more - you cannot find a lot of hands-on companies like ShareASale!
The Most Honest, Transparent, Blogger-Friendly and People-Friendly Affiliate Network
There's no hiding my love for ShareASale. Not only is the network's ThinkTank conference directly responsible for my rise in affiliate marketing over the last five years, I find the network itself to be the most easy to use with the best tools and the friendliest support. From tools like Make A Page, Product Showcase and Product Discovery bookmarklet, which all make it easy to include affiliate links in my posts, to the shiny new interface that makes it a cinch to find new merchant partners, it's rare I'll find something I don't like in ShareASale... and when I do, I relay my thoughts to the team and they try to fix it.
Brian & Co. Go to great lengths to educate affiliates, merchants and OPMs alike so everyone succeeds.
I go out of my way to work with SAS - simply the best!
I have worked with SAS for five years now, and I cant say enough good things. They have BY FAR the most user-friendly interface in the business. When I am mentioning a product I love in a post, I always start by searching for it at SAS first. If I could work solely with SAS, I would. It simplifies my life to keep the majority of my merchants within one network, and SAS is simply the best there is. Sometimes I choose not to work with a merchant simply because they arent in SASs network. The people behind the company are honest, helpful, and knowledgeable, and I also appreciate that they use reliable, real-time links. I can see a commission in my account the moment a sale is made. If you are looking for the best affiliate marketing network in the business, look no further - ShareASale is it!
Best network out there
I have been a blogger for over 10 years- worked with quite a few affiliate networks and I have found that shareasale has been the best overall. I have used their platform and prefer it over others for almost all of my links and programs I am signed up with.
Their platform recently got an update and it's been a wonderful change. Easy to find new companies to promote, easy to customize links for better tracking and they have been there to answer any questions that I might have.
I also have been a merchant in their network for over a year and that has been a great experience as well. As it takes time and work to run an affiliate program and get it running smoothly (not on the part of shareasale- just running the program in general) there are many resources for sending newsletters to affiliates, tracking reports and updating databases. Again, any questions have been answered and many hours spent on issues that I may have to get them resolved.
While it is the responsibility of the affiliate and merchant to use the program and generate their own income based on their efforts- shareasale provides training and helpful articles to better understand affiliate marketing, increase clicks, income and conversions. I have found these very helpful as the internet world changes often and keeping up on everything can become confusing and time consuming.

Not a advertised for merchants
I joined Shareasale as a merchant. This cost me $550, plus $100 in deposit. There are transaction fees, and a monthly fee of $35 taken if I make no sales during the month. On their sales page they promise a "user-friendly and intuitive interface", "unparalleled reach to a diverse range of publishers", and "low barrier to entry for start ups". I feel like it's false advertising.
UI is definately not intuitive and you will have to code html to write the emails that go out to affiliates and your affiliate invitation page.
The affiliates that have tried to sign up to my program so far have been low quality coupon sites and spam. Shareasale offers an affiliates list, but you need to legally agree to be a member for 12 month to get it. They also offer a "program boost" and charge up to $650 for that.
I have pointed this out to them and they told me no refunds.
Desired outcome: Refund
why did you block me?
For absolutely no reason they blocked my account several days ago.
I sent them my question, which as answered pretty quickly, but I haven't found the reason why.
Then I called them and they advised me to write to their email. I said that I already did, but got no answer. They said I have to try again.
Ok, I did. As I expected I got the same answer with no reason explained.
I don't know what to do, my work has stopped and I would like to know the reasons. Please, answer.
Don't deal with this terrible company!!
I used ShareASale for several months and was not satisfied with their service. I contacted ShareASale customer service and asked them to cancel my account and refund my money. They replied nothing.
Then I went online and posted several reviews about them. Only after that ShareASale finally contacted me. They said that they will cancel my account and refund me only after I delete all the reviews. Seemed like a good deal, so I deleted everything. They did cancel my account but they scammed me and did not refund me! Don't deal with this terrible company!

Avoid dealing with this ppl
I have been a faithful affiliate of Shareasale for nearly 9 months without a problem. Drove a lot of quality leads and sales, spending all of my commissions on advertising for their merchants. So today, I log into my account to verify my payment for the month. I notice that the payment was rejected and my account was limited without cause or warning. So, I call their company and Bethany, an extremely useless customer service rep, said she would create a ticket and would send it to the managers (who, mind you, aren't there, yet somehow remotely just got done canceling my payment). I wait a few hours and go to log into my account, and low and behold - I can no longer log in! So, I call back, and again Bethany remembers me and states that they can do these things without cause or warning, and that these 'managers' would contact me. No matter what the terms of service are, is it not a NORMAL business practice to contact the affiliate (or partner) to tell them something isn't right? I received no emails whatsoever, and STILL haven't heard a peep. Also, this Bethany woman stated they do this to protect the merchant. Funny - alot of merchants would fail to exist without the efforts of affiliates. WE go out and promote for them, saving them advertising expense, time, and find their targeted sales. I am owed in the neighborhood of $2, 116.00 - which I am now going to have to litigate to get. Which, I will succeed in getting as I have screenshots and plenty of info. I have even received an email that i would be paid for what I am owed by the CEO Brian Littleton - yet no one will send a thing.

BEWARE of this company - Pepperjam is a better affiliate program that actually cares!
