Worst internet provider on the face of the planet
My complaints wont fit in here, I've spent too much energy on the phone with them over 2 years to sit her and type out all of my complaints and frustrations again. It's up to you, but know if you choose Single Digits, you will be choosing the worst internet provider on the face of this earth. I will die on that hill. If I could give zero stars Iwould've. I wouldn't consider myself anything close to a Akren but oh my goodness if they have a public establishment I could go into, the scene I would cause would vibrate freely throughthe media.
Recommendation: STAY FAR AWAY, don't even google the search the name any more. I don't ven like to use the words together in a sentence anymore.
To start, I moved to Chandler Crossings apartments in August of 2022. Immediately II noticed the internit was terrible, cut out all the time, high latency, packet loss. I inquired from my landlord and was told to get in contact with SIngle Digits. After calling multiple times, running their troubleshooting every single time multiple times a day (openning cmd and running diagnostics, shutting my devices on/off, power cycling, all of the the fundamental garbage) it tooke them 2 montsh to finally send out a technician after giving them 24/7 availability. I need to mention my internet issues wer eintermittent, so of course when the technician arrived after almost 2 and a half months, nothing was solved and almost immediately after he left my issues re-commenced. Fast forward me calling for another 4 months straight, they finally send another technician who diagnosing and fixes the issues ONLY AFTER UPGRADING THE ENTIRE APARRTMENT'S INTERNET INFRASTRUCTURE... THAT IS WHAT IT TOOK I AM NOT LYING. 7 months total... of a 10 month lease. I move out, into another apratment, low and behold the SAME INTERNET PROVIDER "SINGLE DIGITS." You can guess, move in and my internet is plagued with the SAME ISSUES. I am now 6 months into calling them almost every day, waiting for a technician to come out, 6 months they have not even sent a technician out here. 24/7 availability was given, and not a single technician apparently can make it here... DO NOT, AND I REPEAT DO NOT EVER DEAL WITH THIS COMPANY THERE ARE MANY OTHER OPTIONS, I GUARANTEE THIS WILL BE THE WORST EXPERIENCE YOU EVER HAVE WITH ANY HOME TECHNOLOGY BRAND

Internet service unusable with open case for over 4 months without any resolution
Both of my daughters are UGA students and residents at River Mill apartments at Athens, Ga. Since August we have open tickets for internet service (Case# 4065465) that is unusable and/or constantly down. They are forced to walk to campus to have any internet connectivity which is critical to their studies. We have been promised return phone calls and have set appointments for dispatch to send someone at least six times and no one showed or returned phone calls. I have recently tried to reach out to their CTO John Nelson but was sent to a voicemail for Damien Mellon. I am still awaiting a return phone call. I am terribly disappointed, and my next email and phone call will be going to their CEO Craig Sheetz.
Claimed loss: 4 months of Internet Service
Desired outcome: I'd appreciate immediate response and apology from Sr. Leadership. I need this resolved immediately. I have run out of patience with a technical support team that makes empty promises and cannot deliver on commitments.

I’ve been trying to get my internet fixed for months and they have been giving me the run around
Since august I’ve been in contact with their support trying to fix my issues and to no avail. They have treated me poorly and with no respect. For example, their phone representatives have lied to me telling me that an engineer was en route five minutes away, when in reality that was not the case. I’ve been out on hold for twenty to thirty minutes before...

I moved into my apartment that uses single digits early August with an ethernet port that doesn’t work. I’ve contacted Single digits numerous times to send a technician to fix. They have made a ticket and have been “actively searching” for a technician. Other units around me have gotten a technician sent to them, but every time I call they cannot find a technician any week. It’s been almost two months and this is still not resolved.
Desired outcome: Technician sent to apartment immediately to fix my ethernet

Internet and staff
Staff is not helpful at all, I called the tech support last week because the internet of my new apartment was not working, I was told I will get a call back and I never got one. When I called back after 10 days, I was told that the issue should have been fixed because a technician came, but no one came and the issue was not fixed. Either tech support are lying or the technician that “came” is lying.
Desired outcome: My only week of vacation was wasted, there is nothing to compensate, I just want the internet fixed.
Packet loss throughout the day!
The internet at my apartment was great before the complex decided to upgrade to their 950 mbps wired internet and 250 mbps on wifi. If you like having internet for 10 minutes out of every hour then this is the right company for you! I have called technical support numerous times and have been told our "engineers" are still working on the issue with no ETA, updates, or what could be causing the issues. I constantly test my ping while using my computer and I've got to say the amount of "Requests timed out" I've seen is pretty ridiculous. I've swapped my ethernet cable, restarted my pc, changed my DNS, changed my IP, removed my firewall, still get multiple disconnects. Coming from someone who streams for a source of income this is extremely frustrating. They also expect people to pay for their internet service when it's almost unusable which is quite mind blowing.
Hello, I have a request from my jazz customer team that there is a problem with jazz service in our area. Because of which we and our people are very worried, so please fix this problem as soon as possible by installing a tower in our area.
You will be blessed.

The internet at my apartment was bad before it started going downhill and now it unusable most of the time due to packet loss spikes that cause frequent disconnects. The customer service seems unable or unwilling to answer very basic questions about the internet service and refused to acknowledge the apartment-wide problem for months and insisted that I restart my router and computer. My calls only result in a broken record back and forth and result in an escalation to higher support who I cannot manage to get ahold of, and a ticket number. For a whole month, I have been documenting the loss numbers, disconnects, and ticket numbers and brought it to the apartment. The apartment called and reported back saying that single digits were rude to them on the phone, and they could not create an apartment-wide ticket. The current ticket has been open since 2/15. They recently understood that the issue is apartment-wide, and besides this, I have had no updates, ETA, or cause of the problem.

Single Digits is my Internet Service Provider. They are the sole provider for my Apartment Complex, ***. The service is intermittent and goes off two to three times during every 30 minute work Teams call. They came to my unit in January and March to try to fix the issue and did not fix it. I am trying again to get them to come out to fix the issue and they are unresponsive. I opened a case on 8/9, and they have not sent anyone or responded in 20 days. I have called five times and they continue to tell me that it is with the senior engineers. There are no supervisors or managers to talk with. I have a very difficult time running meetings and working from home full time with this internet issue.
The apartment complex i live in uses single digits and the cost is included in my rent. I moved to another apartment in the same complex 3 weeks ago and my cable wouldn't work. Last week i called on Tuesday to set up technician to cone this week since im off work. I call today with my reference number and they tell me the supervisor looked at my area and felt like my cable should be working and apparently cancelled my service request...on the phone woth customer support for over an hour and now they are saying they will try to send someone a week from today. That's 4 weeks no cable but still paying for it. Tried to call different help line. Same guy answered. Asked tp speak with supervisor multiple times and yet never spoke with one. This os ridiculous. Worst customer service ever.
I am living at an apartment in Auburn, Alabama called the Uncommon Auburn that has a contract with Single Digits
I am living at an apartment in Auburn, Alabama called the Uncommon Auburn that has a contract with Single Digits. Single Digits is supposed to provide cable access to us and the charge has been included in my rent for the last 6 months. However, none of this time have I had access to cable. I have made at least 4 appointments for a technician to come and fix our cable access. When I call customer support, they are able to make an appointment for a technician to come and they can pull up my open ticket #XXXXXXX. However, when it comes time for the technician appointment, no one ever shows up. The customer support representatives always call me back to check that the appointment was completed, and then they make me a new appointment. Again, no technician *** show up. My apartment complex management seems to have no communication with the technician that is supposed to be on site every Wednesday afternoon. This issue should have been easily handled by any competent company and should, at this point, be of immediate concern.

I have Upstream internet service, a company that was merged with Single Digits. The service is blocking some ports in the network that I use to run video calls for my online classes and for work with my CRM system. The service was working fine until three weeks ago when started to block my video and audio calls. I called technical support so many times and they tell me that they are not blocking any port. I run some apps that scan open and close ports in my computer and the ports show up as closed. It has been 3 weeks already, and technical support does not provide me with a solution and not even an answer. They tell me that a person will call me but never happens.
I live in *** Center In *** West Virginia. The single Digit Company is the internet provider to my building. My internet has been disconnected for the past 18 days and I have placed more than 20 calls to this company to send a technician to my home address and fix the issue. Unfortunately, the single digit company has refused to give me an answer and keep saying that they are trying to fix that. This has been their answer for the past 18 days . I need a technician check my router , check the wiring and fix this issue. This company has made a monopoly in this address and I can not ask other internet provider companies to give me an internet access.
They provide internet to our apartment complex with individual wifi for each apartment. We've had no wifi during our 2 year lease despite us calling Single digits multiple times to come and fix the issue. Our apartment complex has always deferred us to call the company directly and they have been next to useless. For 2 years we've had to use our neighbors' wifi. We've called multiple times and were told it was our issue, saying it was a computer problem despite every device we have not being able to see the wifi. Guests who have come to our apartment can't see the wifi either. They refused to send a technician and essentially said we needed to fix it ourselves. Today was the breaking point because the entire complex has no internet and we've been told off multiple times by the company to help. We live at *** West apartments. We have online classes and remote work we need wifi for but no longer are able to use.
0 star service, 0 star customer service, No concern for the customer, i have not had wifi in 3 weeks Single Digits has been a nightmare service
0 star service, 0 star customer service, No concern for the customer, i have not had wifi in 3 weeks Single Digits has been a nightmare service and experience. When the service is working you have absolutely little to no connection to the internet. Most of the time it is not working at all! I currently have not had wifi service in 3 weeks on this coming wednesday December 30th. Representatives have lied to me and said someone would come fix the issue and they never showed up on the day they were suppose to come. Also when they do come the wifi works for a good week or two then goes back out. There is an absolute lack of proffesionalism, communication, and product delivery for a service we pay out of our rent every single month. At this point im almost ready to move from the property in great part to my complex selecting single digits. All i want is the service that I pay for EVERY MONTH!. I already expect very poor wifi because it is such a low expectations company, but can i atleast get that low quality service? Thank you.

Single Digits provides internet for the Ridge at North Texas. They are constantly going up and down every month we have an issue. I work from home and am about to lose my job because single digits will not provide a stable internet connection. It is absurd how bad it has gotten. We are supposed to have 150mb/s and we are getting less than 2mb/s at times.
Today is March 25th, 2022. I have been in contact with SingleDigits since September regarding the "wifi" connection I should have in my apartment complex. I do not have any reliable internet connection, and no progress has been made throughout the 7 month window.
They have given us terrible internet that is broken at least once a week from a few hours up to 4 days at a time. We are paying $120/month for this service ($30 for each person/mo). The customer service does not work, their call-taking system is broken, and it is impossible to receive a response from them. There is no other way to report outages. Multiple times they "are going to send a technician" who never arrives.
Quite possibly the WORST ISP I've ever had
Quite possibly the WORST ISP I've ever had. The spotty internet and dropped packets is only compounded my frustration from the throttling of speeds. Newly installed about a few days ago, Single Digits spent a grand total of 3 minutes setting up their hardware before leaving without instruction on how to connect. After trial and error trying connecting my desktop directly to their hardware, i was only met with sub-par service coupled by an immensely unstable connection. I have credible proof that shows the rapid decline of download speeds that get worse daily. The constant flux of speeds makes it near impossible to do anything worth while with their service. Try streaming a video on popular streaming platforms such as YouTube? Good luck. Perhaps after buffering for 30 minutes one might be able to watch a few seconds of it. The dial-up internet I had while stationed in Japan was 100x more reliable than what Single Digits provides. Why they even bother offering this "service" is beyond me. Attached you will see where one service was halted (bars on left) and Single Digit service on the right.

I live in a college community called *** with 3 roommates. We each used to pay around $17 per month for wifi. We had outages when we were paying this much that we were willing to overlook. Our Internet bill has went up to $30 per person, so $120 total and we continue to have outages and there is no change in speed. I contacted the company and all they did was confirm that there was an outage. Being college students, we don't have extra money laying around to pay double for internet that has not changed one bit. Single Digits and our management here at Maple Ridge do not make any efforts to resolve this matter and we've been living here for 2 years.
This company has changed names four times in the 12 years I've had their cable TV service. For many of those years when logging onto the internet site to pay my monthly bill I had the option to make a one time payment and also the option NOT to save my credit card number in the account. Those options have been taken away and recently I was able to speak with the billing department and told that auto pay was required. At this time my account page showed that I was enrolled in auto pay and when I tried to uncheck the box it wasn't allowed. I never enrolled in auto pay because I don't want it, the company enrolled me without my consent. I never gave my permission After logging in just now that's gone, it disappeared. Now there is a box which is un-checked that says enable paperless billing. I checked with the Federal Trade Commission and the Consumer Financial Protection Bureau and found that a company cannot do this it's illegal to force enroll a customer in automatic payments without my express consent which I never gave them. Nothing has actually changed other than it says I'm not enrolled in paperless billing. When I go to my billing information page is still says autopay enabled and there's no way to remove the autopay. Also my bill was paid in full in the amount of $112.76 on 2/1/22 which was due on 2/19/22. On Monday 2/14/22 the company deactivated my receiver for an unknown reason. I spent 2.5 hours on the phone with them and no one could or would fix my service. They only said their was an issue with my receiver. On Tuesday 2/15/22, I spent another 3 hours on the phone and at the end of the call my service was finally restored. From the time I began using them as my cable TV provider in February I've had the exact same channel package of Americas Top 200 which always included my local channels. The only change I've ever made was switching from Analog to Digital in 2011.
I am a customer service agent working remotely due to the pandemic. I experienced an internet outage today that is still ongoing, and started at around 2:11 PM Mountain Time. When my internet went down, I contacted Single Digits and was told they were working on resolving the issue. I was forced to commute an hour to finish my shift at work, and was reprimanded for it by higher ups. I contacted them after finishing my shift, and they still did not have a solution, and both times flat refused to give me an ETA. This is impeding my ability to work, and could very well cost me my job. Contacting them is a nightmare, and when they do call you back, it's scary to answer because their phone number comes in flagged as a SCAM LIKELY by my phone servicer.
The internet has been dropping every 5-10 minutes for just under two weeks
The internet has been dropping every 5-10 minutes for just under two weeks. Single Digits has done absolutely nothing to fix the problem. I am currently living at *** on *** in West Lafayette. I had returned to my apartment on November 1st and found that the wired connections in the apartment had stopped working completely. I have been calling customer service close to every day in an attempt to remedy the situation. While the internet itself eventually came back (seemingly on its own), it has been completely dropping every 5 to 10 minutes. A technician finally came in on November 10th, only for him to not have access to what needed to be fixed. Then, an engineer apparently came in, did nothing, and now I have been told that he/she left a note on my support ticket saying the issue was fixed. I am writing this on November 13th, with this problem having no end in sight. The problem has been exacerbated with my university moving classes to an almost entirely online format, and it is extremely frustrating seeing the complete lack of urgency from Single Digits over the span of this entire situation.

Upon moving to my current apartment in Atlanta Georgia, I was made to sign up with single digits as that was the internet service provider who had a contract with the building. It has been a nightmare. I have had internet service outages that have lasted 1 and 2 weeks respectively over the past 2 months which has interfered with my ability to work from home. I had to incur additional costs in transportation and internet fees at internet cafes in order to work. The sad part is single digits customer service is probably the worst I have ever seen. At this time it has been 2 weeks since I informed them that I have no internet service and they have not scheduled a time for a technician to come out and fix the problem. In addition they continue to tell me they are unable to provide a specific time and date at which time they will send out a a technician and when I request to speak to a manager I was told one is not available. While all this is happening I am being charged a flat monthly rate for a service I am not receiving. I am essentially being held hostage by an internet provider I did not choose and is not providing the service I am paying for.

This is by far the worst company I have ever had to deal with
This is by far the worst company I have ever had to deal with. I moved into my apartment nearly a month ago and immediately noticed I lacked internet connection. Upon speaking to my apartment complex, they informed me that Single Digits was the internet provider and they had been doing everything they could to get them to fix their service. In the time since I have called Single Digits 'customer support staff' if you even want to call it that countless times and have got absolutely no help from them. On day one of calling they told me they had located the issue and were escalating it to their senior engineers and would send technicians to fix the problem soon. I still have not been able to speak to any of these engineers and have not had a single technician come to help my issue. Now when I call them they leave me on hold for hours and tell me that my problem has been fixed when I still do not have any internet connection in my apartment. This company provides absolutely no product or service and refuses to do anything about it. This is an absolute nightmare, especially for a collegiate student taking multiple online classes that I can't even do from home all while dealing with this horrible shell of a business.

Unreliable service and horrible customer service
Unreliable service and horrible customer service. I have called Single Digits multiple times regarding my issue and sent numerous emails to level 2 support this week, but every time I call I always get a runaround and an "escalation" to higher support. I am a 911 Dispatcher and I currently work from home. Since I am working from home I require high bandwidth and a stable internet connection, but Single Digits internet always fluctuates and tell me they can't control it. This was not an issue until Single Digits has implemented a Speed Cap on September 2nd for whole property and my now speed went from 100 download/ 100 upload, respectfully, to 37 download and 20 upload. These speeds are the max I get even sometimes it even gets lower because of the "shared connection" on the property. I thought it was my router so I went out and bought a $500 Netgear router and that still did not help. I simply just want the speed cap to be removed so I can do my job, but Single Digits refuses to give me any information and will not remove it despite my property manager calling. I have called numerous times about this and even got my work supervisors involved because I cannot do my job with these speeds. I have filled an FCC complain against them but that has not seemed to help as well.

Internet service is critical for college students right now, after several calls to support lines, nothing is being done to fix their own service. As a student at The Hub in Oxford, I have to say that the internet service is practically unusable. The speeds are meant to be 100 mbps down, but after calling support I learned the minimum is 5 mbps. While that's outrageous, I would still be in a better position if I was getting 5 mbps down. I called Customer Support the first time on September 1st when I was pulling 6 mbps down, where I was assured service would be getting better. I called for the second time September 14th when i was pulling 1.3 mbps down where I went through an even lengthier support call where at the end i had another case opened and was assured a Senior Technician would call me back to get in touchand resolve the issue. Finally, I am writing this review on 9/15 while i am pulling 0.27 mbps down. I cannot load schoolwork, i cannot watch lectures, and i cant upload assignments. The service I have received has been absolutely horrible and the customer service has led me on a goosechase in circles instead of actually fixing the issue. The current case I have open where supposedly a "Senior Technician" will help me is XXXXXXX. Service this awful and support that is this unhelpful should not be able to exist.

Single Digits is a commercial internet provider for my current apartment complex (***) in Morgantown, WV. There have been several issues with the internet since I have moved into my apartment in August. It is now March and the issues have yet to be resolved. I have called 3 times per day every day for the last 2 weeks trying to get my issues resolved. I have been hung up on, left on hold for hours at a time, and told there is nothing they can do to fix my issues. Also, each time I call and give them my ticket number, they tell me the ticket has been closed because the issues have been resolved, meanwhile I am sitting in my apartment with no internet connection on my laptop and the only thing I can get to load is the no internet dinosaur game. Every time I call they make me do the troubleshooting which consists of turning wifi off and wifi on which does absolutely nothing. After I tell them it has not been fixed, they continue to tell me that they'll escalate the problem to Level 2 support and I will receive a call from an engineer. I never receive a call back from an engineer and I call back to check the status and they continue to tell me the problem has been resolved and that my ticket has been closed. This happens every time I call and my issues still have yet to be resolved. The internet has been in and out in the complex for the last 2 weeks and Single Digits has yet to fix the issues or send a technician to fix the problem.

The housing complex that I currently stay in is Bellamy Coastal which is predominantly college students so internet is an integral piece of our lives whether it be for social, entertainment, or educational reasons. Since I moved in (AUG 2021), I've had internet issues where I've contacted SingleDigits on multiple occasions but the one problem still exists. Slow and terrible internet service/speed/connection. On one occasion, they sent a technician out here to manually fix the issue (after a few failed attempts at troubleshooting over the phone), but that solution didn't work solely on the recommendation offered by SingleDigits, not the technician himself. The technician that came out to fix the internet issue gave me the entire run down on what the problem was after doing numerous test over course of 7 hours (yes, he was here for 7 hours and canceled all of his other appointments for this one issue). The problem was that my apartment's "fuse" or "switch" was faulty. We were essentially connecting to the neighbors wireless internet while not having a wired connection at all. The technician told me a for-sure solution would be to replace the entire switch itself, but the SingleDigits representative who was simultaneously on the phone while the technician was working said that "we don't need to escalate the problem to the extent of replacing it". 6 months later and my problem still exist. Whenever I call customer service, I speak to a representative who tries to help but it never succeeds. In the age of virtual learning combined with covid protocols, having quality internet is a must, especially for a college student such as myself. I am unable to Zoom, do work, download files, anything. For further reference, after conducting a speed test, my phone's internet speed is about 50mbs while the wireless/wired internet we have ranges from kbs to 1mbs. (sorry for my improper word choice, I don't know the correct terminology for the parts)

I have never been more furious about an internet connection in my life, ever
I have never been more furious about an internet connection in my life, ever. I moved into an apartment building that only uses Single Digits for internet service (***). They are contracted to provide internet service to all residents. When I realized just how bad and slow my speed is (experiencing horrible video calls for work and personal life, gaming and downloading), I asked my leasing manager for the highest package upgrade - which they told me was $50 (that's fine). It was confirmed that they put my request in and that I should start experiencing better internet connection soon, but that was a while ago. I was waiting and waiting to see my speed and connection improve... nothing. I contacted Single Digits to ask if my package was upgraded and all they said was, "We can't see anything on our end, you'll have to speak with your building's management." ARE YOU SERIOUS?!?! So I re-contacted my leasing manager and was told they put the request in and are still waiting for Single Digits to fulfill my package upgrade! I was told I would have my package upgrade billed to my rent for January, and guess what? You guessed right, NOTHING CHANGED! I'm sick of feeling like I have to keep nagging and nagging and complaining and complaining for no favorable outcome. I HATE being that person. But when you have work meetings and can't have a decent video call with your family and Single Digits isn't doing their part to fulfill my leasing manager's request? Beyond, beyond, BEYOND furious. I also noticed the Single Digits app has a previous resident listed as my roommate!?!? So I'm in need of the Complaintsboard.com to *** in and have Single Digits upgrade my internet package IMMEDIATELY! THEY need to contact my building management to resolve this, NOT ME. I'm strictly working from home and refuse to work outside under the pandemic conditions, and I can't even have a decent video conference meeting. GET IT TOGETHER SINGLE DIGITS AND FIGURE THIS OUT IMMEDIATELY.

I live in a student living apartment complex who encourages us to call Single Digits directly if we have any issues with the wifi. My wifi drops or does not connect at all. I have been in contact with this company since October 7. I am a full time graduate student while also working full time. Every time I call they try trouble shooting. I was finally scheduled to have a technician come out. You have to be here to let the technician into your unit so they always schedule during your availability. The first time (scheduled for 10/12) it was cancelled because the technician was scheduled to go on vacation. They continued to call me outside of my availability and then say the appointment was never scheduled. I then scheduled a second visit for 10/26 because that was the only time that worked with both of our schedules (techs stop working at 4.) The second time the appointment was scheduled, the technician called on (10/18) asking if I could meet him that day since he was already on site for a previous appointment. I left work because I knew I needed internet and was extremely grateful. The technician was 30 minutes later than what he said due to the previous appointment which was not a problem because he was so nice. He then basically told me there were no wireless access points on my entire floor. He would check the front office but if they did not have it he would need to order the equipment. This would take about a week to get the equipment (10/26). So two weeks pass *** I call Single Digits asking for an update. The customer service rep explains that the technician attempted to come to my unit last week but was not allowed access by the front office. No one attempted to call and inform me of this situation or ask me to meet them at my unit. I have another appointment scheduled for Thursday. I have been dealing with this internet issue since August. I have to go and sit at Starbucks to get my work done. This is beyond inconvenient and truly frustrating.
The complaint has been investigated and resolved to the customer’s satisfaction.
