I applied for a job on Snagajob.com..The position was Marketing Coordinator for Uno's Pizzeria. After asking a few times about getting newsletters and marketing emails from them, and then would I be interested in the University of Phoenix..it says that the application process has been 'deactivated'. Then I get a confirmation email saying I applied. Yeah right! Then I go to Uno's just to see if there is such a job as Marketing Coordinator. Nope! What a shameful thing to do given the state of our economy, to use people's desire for a job as a means to execute non so subtle marketing.

Just want to set the record straight here...I manage a retail location and see many applicants in our recruiting system that were referred by snagajob.com. I have to say that in today's economy as an employer, I think many employers are just being MUCH more picky than we used to...people are seeing what it really means to have to QUALIFY for the job you are applying for.

It's a sad state of affairs that you have to wade through a dozen unwanted solicitations for all kinds of junk just to apply for a job. I realize employers are looking for an inexpensive way of posting their ads and accepting applications, but they really should think about how frustrating it is for a job seeker (and how many might be turned off by the experience) to have to go through all this crap just to apply for a job.

I applied for some Kmart job and a few 20 other jobs on SnagAJob.com. Each application took more than half an hour then it would say that I now needed to apply at the company's actual website.
Then last month I received a letter saying that I oppened a bank account at Florida and that I now owe six thousand nine hundred dollars. I live in Texas and I have never even been to Florida! How in the world can I have a bank account there! Now thinking back I ask myself why would snagajob want my ssn if they weren't the ones that were going to hier me. PLEASE DONT GIVE OUT YOUR SSN ON SNAGAJOB.COM. Stupid mistake...

I have been submitting applications for available jobs that were posted or I was notified of in my email for over 3 years now with no success, everytime I submit a application I get a response telling me my application has been received and that HR will review it and I will be notified well have never been notified for any of the jobs applied for. I worked at a large company for 16 years with a excellent work record until the warehouse closure so I would say that I have plenty of experience its funny that some 20 year old with no experience can get a job but I can't. I probably have over 200 applications out there with no job as yet and did I mention that you can only submit once every 90 days for that company that you applied for its nothing buyt a scam I have never had this kind of trouble getting a job and some company's say you have to submit through snagajob.com I think its their way of not hiring but at the same time be able to say they have jobs availabe for the economy what a joke

I had just called to delete my account and make sure that i no longer recieve emails from your company (the woman i spoke with was very nice and assured me I would no longer get any). Not 5 minutes later i recieved an email requesting feed back on the applicaton I had just completed. I have not completed any applications in quite some time because I find this website to be a scam. On several of the applications that i had sent out in my area it stated not to contact the employer, i would recieve an email back saying i was not quailfied for the postion. Hard to believe that a Food and Beverage Manager of 5 years is not qualified to be a barista at Starbucks! So, i decided to go to the Starbucks, at the location that Snag a job assured was hiring baristas and management, only to find out that they WERE NOT hiring nor are they affiliated, in any way, with Snagajob.com. I then decided to visit some of the other companies that i was deemed not qualified, and recieved the same answer. I find it rediculious that in a time like this, when so many people are fighting to find and keep a job that this site just wastes your time with 45 minute applications for jobs that don't exist! Shame on you Snagajob.com for wasting the time of people that just want to work!

Snagajob is NOT a place if you are looking for a job. They will ask you hundred questions, and offers they make, you have to uncheck one by one, after you spend an hour and hit submit application, all you see, "your application can not be submitted". But interestingly you will receive thousands of different offers just because you forgot to uncheck one of their hundred offers. I have serious doubts about the number of opening they show on the search results. If you go to the stores they show there are openings, most of them will tell you "No, there are no openings here". STAY AWAY FROM SNAGAJOB.

I applied for a job at Target Stores. After realizing you sent an email to me with a very bad link to their site ...I started looking on your site for information regarding this situation...YOU say on your SITE:

"Did I click the link while applying to a job on Snagajob? We do our best to check every employer on our site and make sure that they’re trustworthy. We are careful to keep all of your personal information secure and verify employer information. If we feel that a job posting is suspicious or have proof of past account problems, we will not post the job on our site. Your safety is very important to us and we do everything we can to keep your information safe. If you ever see a post you think is suspicious, please contact us and we will investigate the post for you."

I did contact you yesterday with the link you provided to me in the email to me about this site as but I will post again from your email to me:

"If you had any problems completing the application on the employer’s website the first time, click here http://targetcareers.target.com/talentcommunity/apply/1364418/?utm_source=snagajob&utm_campaign=storeshourlyseasonal so you can complete it now. You do not have to resubmit your application on Snagajob!"
It is a very very bad link and you sent me to a very bad site.

Why is it that I have not heard from you yet? I contacted you yesterday 3 or 4 times to alert you about this very bad site. Please call me! I have called our County Attorney about this and the 4 credit bureaus putting a fraud alert on my account. I will be posting this complaint on: SnagAJob.com — Online scam) if I do not hear from you today. AND HERE IT IS>>>they do not care. Oh also their site said they had lots of jobs in my area and it redirected me to the fake target site.

Started to fill out form- unfortunately got past the phone number contact page, and decided to do some research on snagajob. Found out most people are unhappy and you will be spammed with calls and emails. About 15 minutes after I closed the screen I got my first call from a telemarketer.. WARNING unless you want your email and phone to be spammed do not use snagajob.

I have been using Snag a job since 2010, I have not gotten a job yet. What I have gotten is a lot of no responce, and not hired. Now I get an E-mail that said my application was not even submitted. I am very tired of this B.S. I've been getting. I really don't want to end up on the street, but I think this is where I am bound. I thought that Snag a job would help, I am sorry to say that I am wrong.

I agree; SNAGAJOB is a scam!
After they obtained my email I can't get rid of their spam and the jobs that they are posting don't exist.

I've gotten multiple interviews through SnagAJob.com. Kohls, Sears and some waitress positions. As for them giving out phone numbers. Back when I first made my account, I did get a phone call from a university, but I told them I was already enrolled somewhere. It's been 3 years now and I haven't been bugged since. So, I'd say, if you got spammed, it's just bad luck. It doesn't happen to everybody. I have friends who use the site too and they've never complained. It's definitely not a scam.

Snagajob sells an automated software interface to their customers. The customers fill out criteria for what they want from a job applicant. Each criteria they assess a certain value to. They can assign things like race, age, availability a preset manner of importance. Based on you passing or failing what's essentially a personality test for employment, the software then notifies the employer of any applicants that fit within their point values. In no way, shape or form does anybody working at Snagajob go over any applications or interview or call anybody. The only time they contact people is for "success" stories of working at Hardy's for minimum wage or sweeping trash in back of Dollar General. They don't take down a listing once it has been filled. This is left strictly to the customer's discretion. Despite their name, Snagajob, alluding to an action taken to get employment, they don't actually get anybody employment themselves. They have nothing to do with it except for cashing a check once the customer agrees to use their service for $700 a year per location. As for the third party spamming, there are settings to negate this but let's be honest; Snagajob lists bottom-of-the-barrel hourly jobs and most people looking for these are either inexperienced, heavily stressed/poor or just aren't the sharpest tools in the shed to begin with. It's terrible, but their system is designed to take advantage of the unfortunate and unemployed people which internally Snagajob refers to as "product". My company recently decided to start using them and all of the same people we were getting as candidates have been the same people responding to our Craigslist ad. I urged my superiors to let me interview people in person to avoid wasting more money and we found a personable, intelligent, able new hire in a few days. All of these qualities you can't get a good grasp on using automated software.

35 million registered jobseekers?! This is the TOTAL number of jobseekers who’ve registered since the company’s inception in 1999, right? Even if they’ve already found a job, is EVERYONE who’s ever registered since 1999 included? YES.

A more useful stat for me as an employer is the number of registered jobseekers ACTIVELY seeking employment. 35 million people registered on your site in 13 years, SO WHAT?

I applied for a job on snagajob for a fast food restaurant. I am more than qualified to work fast food but times are hard. I filled out the application and completed the assessment test. Problem is the employer could never see that I completed it. I did this three times each time having to create a new profile and use a new email address. Employer told me I didn't know how to use a computer and that he has never heard of such. I called snagajob and explained what happened and was told my assessment went through but I was not qualified for fast food. I was then given another number to call. I called that number and the phone just rang and rang. I sent an email to snagajob and no reply from them. I sent another email, called the number I was given to leave voice messages. I also included my name, email address and phone number to where I could be reached. This is a scam to get desperate peoole, whom they know want to work, then exploit their personal information to gain profit from third parties

I have my own complaint. hopefully snag a job reads this

I was filling out the profile page to create an account. however, you kept sending me error messages// you must know that I have used this password for at least 6 years and therefore I have no intention of changing anything about it whatsoever in order to give you the privilege of assisting me with my job search.. I do not have to point out
that there are dozens of others out there

You have to give the website, permission to spam you other wise you can't even apply for jobs on their site. If that's not reason enough to know that they are a scam.

Many jobs listed are for the wrong cities. Tipton, Indiana does not have a Tipton street
Nor do we have a Sonic Drive In within 15 miles of Tipton. CHECK YOUR FACTS OR

Whenever u attempt to apply for a job I am given a screen about equal opportunity employment, and after I click continue I am told I do not meet the requirements for the position despite me meeting every requirement and having a full portfolio. It does not matter what position I apply for in what job. I am always met with the same result.
