This chair from Steelcase, Inc
This chair from Steelcase, Inc. that I bought for a lot of money broke in just 6 months. I tried to get a refund, but they said no. I mean, come on, it's supposed to have a 12-year warranty! The only thing wrong with it is that the adjustment thingy broke. Otherwise, it's fine.
I had a desk order with Steelcase, but I cancelled it in January
I had a desk order with Steelcase, but I cancelled it in January . It's been almost 3 weeks now and I still haven't received my refund for the desk that was charged to my credit card back in Oct 2020. I ordered the desk (#***) from Steelcase on 9/17 and my credit card was charged on 10/6. On 1/12, they told me that the desk couldn't be delivered by 1/15. So, I cancelled the order on 1/13 and they said it would take 5 to 7 business days to get my refund. But, I still haven't received it yet.

Steelcase ain't keeping their promise of a 12 year warranty
Steelcase ain't keeping their promise of a 12 year warranty. My leather office chair is messed up with a bunch of problems. They said it comes with a full warranty, but that's a lie. The chair won't recline smoothly and makes weird noises. The lumbar support is busted and the leather is worn out (which shouldn't happen with good quality leather). I got it from one of their dealers and they filed a claim, but Steelcase only wants to fix the lumbar support and says the rest is just normal wear and tear. Not cool, Steelcase.
I got a chair from Steelcase on Sept 18th, 2020
I got a chair from Steelcase on Sept 18th, 2020. It cost me $1,121. They gave me the chair, but then they took the pre authorization charge off. It didn't come back until Oct 21. But I already gave the chair back on Oct 9th. I talked to them a lot of times, but they can't give me my money back. Now I don't have $1,121 and I don't know if they're a good company. I might have to fight with my credit card company.
I got a chair from Steel Case (order number: ***), which came on June 16th
I got a chair from Steel Case (order number: ***), which came on June 16th. It's pretty heavy and I'm gonna use it when I move next month. The box came in bad shape. I opened it last week and the chair was in bad shape too. Most parts didn't have any plastic protection and one wheel was detached. The chair's base was broken. There are many dark and light grey marks on the white parts of the chair that can't be removed. It looks like a used product. I put the chair together and two parts can't be put back together. I hit up SteelCase last Monday with pics of the chair, but it's been a week and no one hit me back.
I wanna talk about Steelcase, Inc
I wanna talk about Steelcase, Inc. I got my order after waiting for a whole month and when I opened it, I saw that the top of the desk didn't have pre-drilled holes. I ordered it after checking their installation manual and it clearly said that it would come with pre-drilled holes. My co-worker also got one and it had pre-drilled holes. I contacted their customer care team and they told me that I had to pay extra for installation or return it with a 15% restocking fee. That's not cool. They shouldn't lie to customers and charge restocking fees. They should either send me a top with holes or take it back. Case # ***.
I got a Solo Sit to Stand Desk from Steelcase, Inc
I got a Solo Sit to Stand Desk from Steelcase, Inc. on 09/30. The order number is *** and I bought it from the Steelcase online store with my work account. It cost *** but the total order was ***. I already talked to *** and did some troubleshooting, but it didn't work. The desk doesn't move up and down anymore. I contacted Steelcase support on May 30th, 2022. They said they would get back to me in 3 days on May 31st, but I haven't heard anything yet. I tried calling again, but they told me to wait for an email response. It's been over 2 months now and I still haven't gotten any help. I followed all the troubleshooting steps that support told me on the phone and in the email, but the desk is still stuck at the default position and won't adjust the height.
I got a chair from Steelcase on June 8 - order details omitted
I got a chair from Steelcase on June 8, and the fabric is coming apart after less than a year of normal office use. Despite multiple contacts and a phone call for a response, they claimed it wasn't a manufacturing failure. However, their warranty promises repair or replacement for failures under ordinary use, which applies in our case, so we expect them to honor their commitment.
I bought a chair from SteelCase.com for $803.95 on Dec 20, 2021
I bought a chair from SteelCase.com for $803.95 on Dec 20, 2021. They said it would be shipped in 7 business days, but then they changed the date to Feb 8. I was mad, so I cancelled the order. They said they would give me a refund in 3-5 business days, but they haven't yet. They lied about the shipping time and didn't give me a full refund. I had to dispute the charge and only got $754.00 back. They never replied to the dispute and I didn't get my $49.95 in taxes back.
I bought a desk from Steelcase's website on April 5
I bought a desk from Steelcase's website on April 5. On April 23, only the top of the desk came, but the legs, motor, and controller didn't. I called and emailed them a lot, and they said the parts were "lost in transit" and reordered. On June 20, the rest of the desk finally came. But when we put it together, we found out the motor was broken and the desk wouldn't go up or down right. On June 21, I sent them an email with a video showing the broken controller. I called and emailed them more. On June 27, a Steelcase person said they got "approval" to send me a new controller. On July 9, the new controller came. We put it in like the instructions said, but the desk still didn't work right. I emailed them on July 9 to tell them. But on July 12, no one answered my email, so I called customer care again and told them what happened. The person said someone else would call me, but when I asked for more info, she wouldn't say anything else. It's been three months since I paid $753.17 for this desk, and I still don't have a working desk or any clear info on if they'll help me fix it.
I got a Steelcase Leap chair with headrest in dark brown leather and the cylinder is messed up because my chair keeps sinking down and there's
I got a Steelcase Leap chair with headrest in dark brown leather and the cylinder is messed up because my chair keeps sinking down and there's no way for me to fix it. Steelcase's customer service team in ***, *** (I talked to ***) is being super rude to me. They won't replace my $2200 Leap chair or send someone to fix the pneumatic cylinder. They say I'm not in their system and that my warranty expired 12 years ago. They sent me this message about my Steelcase Leap Warranty Claim Case number: *** "Hey ***, sorry your chair is messed up. Did you buy it online? If so, give us your order number and a video of the problem and we'll try to replace it. If you bought it from a store, talk to them about the warranty." I sent them lots of pics of the cylinder leaking oil and told them my chair keeps sinking down when I sit on it. Please help me out.
I got a Steelcase chair
I got a Steelcase chair. I sat down, rolled up to my desk, and heard a scratching sound. The bottom of the cylinder scratched the chair mat. The cylinder was touching the floor. I found out this is common. I contacted Steelcase. They mentioned the cylinder is too low due to wear and it's unsafe to replace at home. They refused to send a replacement part. I disagree with their safety concerns, as I found online tutorials on cylinder replacement. Is Steelcase trying to make me buy a new chair?
