So after being a loyal customer to this site for some time, I suddenly found I was unable to use my account. When logging in I was informed that there was a problem with my account and I needed to call customer service for further details. I was very unprepared for the extremely unpleasant conversation that followed; I expected the issue to be cleared up with minimal hassle given that I had never engaged in any fraud with their company and was a loyal customer.
I was informed that my account had been blocked because I had signed up for multiple accounts which was a violation of their policy. I was confused, because I had only signed up with one account for Streamate, and my e-mail records confirmed this. When I told the customer service representative this he immediately became hostile and accused me of lying and started berating me and belittling me. He informed me that I had made two previous accounts, but that they were both with other websites. I asked him how would I know that these sites were the same company when they had different names and billed under separate names. He continued to belittle me and when I tried to protest he simply said he would block my account and card from using the site.
A normal company with a normal customer service department would civilly and respectfully work with me to resolve the issue so that I could remain as a valued paying customer, but not Streamate. He told me they didn't need my business and that I could say and do whatever I wanted but that I wouldn't be using their services anymore, all the while continuing to insult me. Quite frankly I was shocked. Even other providers of adult services do not disrespect customers so blatantly and will do their best to keep your business and increase their profits. This guy just went against everything you would expect to be common sense in customer service. He wouldn't even tell me his name or allow me to speak to a supervisor.
What was an honest mistake and didn't cause any harm to their company, what should have been an easy fix, instead was used to throw away a customer without hesitation. If this is the kind of behavior that Streamate allows in its customer service department, I can only imagine what other kinds of problems they give their customers if any issues arise. Customers should be wary, and Streamate should crack down and enforce some semblance of professionalism if it wants to be the most profitable and successful business that it can be. It's a shame too because I enjoyed using their service and now I cannot continue because of their asinine, completely backwards customer support.
The complaint has been investigated and resolved to the customer’s satisfaction.
