I purchased a cleaner from two salemen who came to my door. They cleaned a bit of the brass on my door that i have been trying to clean for years, by spraying a bit on the door, then rubbing with a soft scrubber. In seconds my brass was gleaming! After they left, i went out to use this magic cleaner, only to discover that it did not work, no matter what i did. I tried to contact the company through email, and had no response. I stopped payment on my check, since i had bought a magic cleaner, that turned out to be scented water. Today i got a call from a check agency, who had me call the company. They gave me all sort of arguments, such as i should have cancelled my order within a 3 day period. I was ripped off, and they think that i should follow their procedures! I will fight them on this. If they had sold me what they used on my door, i would not have complained! Someone needs to find out what they use in their spray bottles, as it must be toxic, and the sales people don't wear any protection!

So They are in Mustang, Oklahoma Today. Young Lady came to do the door and gave her talk. The ONLY Reason I bought some was 2 reasons.. 1. I got some Pet Stains they we tried everything on to remove and I figured lets try one more thing.. cant hurt.. And the Other reason to Solicit in the town of mustang it requires a hefty Permit Fee, Finger Prints, and a Brief Background Check. So it does require some effort.

As for the Product Ive only used it a little bit.. But.. I can Said the one stubbon Stain is not gone.. But it is now Significantly Lighter.

They are in the Northwest Georgia area tonight apparently. While washing my truck a young black man came up. I have seen them before, and even bought some a different cleaner years ago with cash. I was expecting what he was about to sell before he ever opened his mouth. I would label myself as fairly observant, so I also noticed just a little while earlier that a white van drove by slowly - which is usually their mode of transportation.

Well, I wouldn't think anything of it, but there were a few things suspicious about this encounter. This is all pretty well in hindsight, but I didn't buy anything.
First thing is he asked what I did, how long I was married etc. General stuff, but that also can give way to more information if you know the right [wrong] way to use it. Still, I didn't give any names or real specifics, kept it kind of vague.
Second thing is (after cleaning a dirty spot on the driveway with his wire brush) he quickly went to clean my glass storm door. It is not the norm that my main door is open (with a clear view inside) but it was tonight. On the surface he was just cleaning the door. It is possible though that he was looking in to see what I had. [Read, scoping the place out]. OK.
Third thing is where I may have slipped up, but really am not too worried about it. Right after cleaning the door, he asked if I was a hunter. (I do have a big 4x4 truck that I was washing). I answered no, because I'm not. He stated "I ask because this stuff works to clean shotguns and stuff too." Well, he might have been checking to see if he would meet any resistance if he came back. While it is true I don't hunt, I am an avid shooter, and have plenty of weapons within quick reach ALWAYS should I need one.
Then the last thing, which is really my least of the concerns is after waiting for his ride to pick him up (which I am fairly certain I saw earlier) he never came. Guy waited for about 30 minutes at the end of a nearby neighborhood. Since I was the last person he talked to, and the only chance he probably had of getting anyone to give him the time of day after dark now, he came to ask to use my phone. I was expecting it when he walked up, but waited on him. He gave me the number and had me dial it, then had a brief argument with his "boss" about what time he was supposed to meet him. All said and done, he left then to go get his ride and I didn't wait long enough to see if it ever came.

In hindsight, I wouldn't have let him out from in front of me and said even less. Now, I think I will just call the local authorities, and tell them what is going on around here

I worked for this company and i must say that this company is a ripoff. One of the trainers i worked with Arnold said he sells the bottles off sympathy. I used the poor sales tactics that they taught and the product didnt even work. NOT TO MENTION I WAS SEXUALLY HARASSED BY ONE OF THE MANAGERS. when i found out it didbnt work i wanted to leave and they left me stranded in a state i had no idea about! TIMOTHY BIRGESS who is the owner of T&B sales is a con artist. Thats why they go from state to state knowing they are lying to customers. Take it from an employee dont buy into these fast talking con artists

If you buy a $40 bottle of cleaner, you deserved to be ripped off. If it worked it would be available in every store in America. Ever heard of Formula 409, etc? Walmart sells it for $4 and it works as well as anything.

Heidi in Denver, CO. I bought this $40 non-toxic lemon "wonder cleaner" bottle 2 years ago. I use it to clean carpet spots, my stainless steel appliances, and glass. I do not want to use stinky cleaners like 409, reg Windex products, or etc. I like the smell and it really works. Oh sure I spent $40, my sales guy told me that $20 went to company and $20 to him (salesman). He wanted to sell 5-10 bottles a day so he had some money in his pocket. It was a hot summer day and we were hangin out in my garage, my toddler was pulling juice from garage frig so I offered him a V-8 fusion AND a bottle of water, he was SO appreciative. Oh sure a bit of a fast talker but if you have ever been in sales...you have to talk fast. I have been looking for the magic carpet cleaner my dad bought years ago at the state fair, so I was game. (Oh sure, I knew he needed $ and a job, I could buy something cheaper and STINKY at WM, but what harm could come from $40 cleaner. I paid w cash. I do not give checks to people I do not know (for fear of them being "washed"). I use my cleaner several times a week; I like it. I hope my guy wasn't treated that badly (as others have mentioned) and I hope he wasn't a druggy. I REALLY like the smell and it really seems to work. I haven't tried it on everything listed on the bottle, as I'm too busy working, mom-ing, wife-ing and keeping my home clean. -Heidi (Denver, CO)

I had a salesman at my house yesterday. I did not invite him in of coarse but I was interested in hearing what he had to say. I'm in the sales field and believe everyone deserves a chance who is trying to make a living. I went ahead and made a deal with him & he said he would be back in about 30 minutes with the product, payment on his return. While he was gone I read all the blogs on this site...most are negative. What I noticed is most comments are about the fear of door to door salesman. Don't open the door than. I saw both positive & negative comments about the product and the company. Sales is a hard gig and it is a numbers game. That's one reason why I decided to go ahead with my purchase...I could afford it & I was helping the salesman make his quota. Today I used the product & I am pleased with the results. I picked my garage door...full of greasy fingerprints, on a white door, to clean first. 1 spray and the fingerprints were actually melting away. 1swipe and they were gone. No scrubbing and I like the fact that it won't harm my cats. I AM PLEASED! Yes, I wrote in capitals and no I am not an employee.

Wow. I am amazed at the story surrounding this product. I went on-line today to buy this product because - get this - my close, trusted friend recommended it to me. Yes, I believe her when she says that the product works really well (and she even bought it from a D-to-D salesperson and ordered more on the internet when it ran out). BUT...OMG... after my internet search, including reading the entire complaint string on this site, I WILL NOT buy this product under any circumstances! FIRST, yes - I think that some people actually did get legitimate product in the bottle(s) that they purchased, but considering that the company sounds really shady in terms of similar wacky stories from former employees, I wouldn't be surprised if the company cuts corners by filling some bottles with bogus liquid during financial 'down' times. SECOND, I wouldn't even order the product online because they still get your credit card information and can rip you off. THIRD, even when buying online, you can still get the bogus water instead of the legitimate product. FOURTH, even if the legitimate version of this product is great, I would never want to buy a product from a company like this one. And, it's all true - how do I know this? Well, if the same information is coming from many different areas and many different sources, then... need I say more?!?!

To the young former employees of this company ---- please, please, please ---- go get a job in a supermarket, movie theatre, etc. - where other young people get jobs. These door-to-door jobs are guaranteed to make you fail. Why? Because this type of selling stopped working as the internet started gaining momentum in the 1990's. People are simply not going to trust D-to-D sales because we can buy everything on the internet.

I was visited today by a young black man in Rio Rancho, NM trying to sell me some green apple cleaner. I didn't really mean to answer the door but I was right near it when he rang the doorbell so it seemed rude not to answer. I stepped on to the porch and closed the door. Nice guy, smooth as can be with little jokes and whatnot, claimed to be from Brooklyn, NY. I didn't think about why or how he was now on my doorstep in New Mexico but that's because he was going so fast. Not pushy but just kept going and going. He cleaned the window next to the front door (which has blinds on the inside) and then scrubbed a part of aluminum threshold. I looked after he left and reading this and other forums and I didn't see any scratch marks so I presume the cleaner he had was doing something and he wasn't using steel wool. I saw in his arsenal the requisite white rag, permanent marker, and steel brush that many have mentioned. I smelled the green apple cleaner and if nothing else, it smelled delicious. I was mostly put off by the idea of having to dilute the stuff myself. This would involve a bucket and measuring and containers to put it in.. I'm just too damn lazy.

I have been skeptical of any door to door sales since my wife and I got talked into buying a water softener years ago. He showed my wife how the *water* from this device could clean old water spots, etc. with just a green pad. I still believe we bought a $5000 set of scotch brite pads. I really hated that thing.

Anyway I told him I need to research products I buy online before committing and asked if he had a card or a number. "The only cards I have are ones I get on my birthday." "Ok, can I keep this brochure?" (nope). So I told him I have to pass. He asked for a bottle of water and I honestly didn't have one so he went on his way down the block. I've vowed to myself to no longer make decisions on the spot like that no matter how good it sounds. Any reputable company should let you research their product before buying it, and the deal shouldn't change just because you need more time.

Today I was approached by a colored gentleman and he was nice, but a few red flags went up and I literally said how do I know that is the same product that you have in your bottle, anyways My gut said no and I am glad I listened to it after reading all of the reports here. He was going to sell me 1 bottle of cleaner a plastic spray bottle and 2 scrub pads for 19.99 plus tax he said it would come to 26.49 and I said $6.00 tax? He said ya gotta pay Uncle Sam! I replied with that's to much tax, oh oh he said your actually paying for the spray bottle, that was 4 dollars and change...ummmm no thanks, also I never let him in my house. He did not want me to give me the pamphlet either and I said I would order off the Internet he said they won't sell it to you without a confirmation # which is on a receipt... What legitimate company does that? Anyways I'm glad I did not get ripped off. House armed with ADT, husband, dog and gun, hopefully they were not casing the neighborhood!

SHAME ON THIS COMPANY for taking advantage of people in need of work and giving them one more reason to be left feeling like no one cares about them, that is horrible to leave a person in another state with no $$$$ to get home. I would look into holding them responsible...I believe that is extremely illegal but I could be wrong. And who has time or money right and that's exactly why they prey on the people they do, which makes this even worse!
Keep posting everywhere & tell anyone who will listen, you can educate others so they don't fall into this trap!

I too worked for the company and they always let me take out money whenever i wanted and i always had money on the books as long as i made 6 sales a day and most of the time the product sold itself and i would bring in up to 15 sales per day and get paid at least 100 dollars so i have no idea why anyone would want to complain about the sales people or about the product because both of which work hard...if anyone wants to bad talk the product they are bad talking the people and trust me dealing with you people all day is not easy and the product does work you just need to scrub a little and mix it right...if anyone wants a job go do it for a week and you will either love it or hate it...if you hate it of course you will bad talk it but if you love it you will do what i am doing right now and laugh at all the dumb people that right that crap online...

A young lady came to my house just moments ago to solicit. As it is chilly out I kept the screen door closed and she gave me her pitch. She was very fast talking, made many jokes, dropped a bunch of pop culture references, very complimentary, and tried to establish a rapport with me. She tried to play to American ideologies saying that she was trying to be a self made woman, didn't want to use welfare, and she even used tried yo use self-deprecating humorous based on black stereotypes (because she was black). I didn't appreciate it. She told me the money would send her to college. She tried to sell me 4 for $130, 2 for $80, or 1 for $40. This is a lot to spend on a cleaning product I know nothing about. She admired my baby daughter, whom I was holding. She talke about her kids. She shined a spot on my door window and locked the straw to prove it was safe. She used a solution in a generic spray bottle and did not have the original cleaning bottle to show me. She let me look at a pamphlet. The pamphlet had matching identifying information. Showed she was with T&B sales. I asked if I could holdonto the pamphlet to decide which one and talk to my husband. Immediately her attitude changed and all her charm and smiles went away. She insulted me an and asked what kind of woman needed to ask her husband and demanded the pamphlet back stating that you get a pamphlet if you buy the product. I was shocked by the 180 degree behavior change. I justified myself saying I never spend that much on cleaner and do my own natural solutions... she responded saying well if you don't want to do it for the cleaner think about it as doing it for someone in need. I told her I had to talk to my husband. She told me she was only in my neighborhood one day. She got angry and left my door muttering loudly about me, mocking that I needed to check with my husband. 40$ on a single bottle of cleaner is a lot and just because I live in a nice house in a good neighborhood doesn't mean I don't live on a budget. After she left I started my research online and with the numerous complaints, websites, and scam reports (even if maybe it does work) I am glad I did not purchase. From what I gather they prey on immediate impulse and emotional buying... they do not want you to research. WATCH OUT NORMAN, OKLAHOMA! They're in town right now.

A young lady came to our door recently. she said she was 18 but I doubt it, she seemed much younger (about 14 is my guess), and I could see she had braces on her teeth that were in disrepair, no wire just a few teeth with braces brackets so I am thinking she's probably a run-away. Also, because she told us they make her use a fake name to sell. I felt bad for her because they dropped her off in the neighborhood in the early AM and won't pick her up until 10PM. She was upset because she's new to the sales, she's pregnant, and if she didn't make more sales she would have nothing. It has to be illegal for them to work them 12 and 16 hour days with no food or water. I let her come in for some water and we talked, I mentioned only that I read about their company online and only asked how she was doing. She opened up and was abruptly no longer peppy and cheerful. She'd mentioned she'd already been in three states already recently and mentioned the abuse. I could see she had bruises all over her arms and I saw a bruise on her neck and her chest/shoulder. They've been holding onto her cellphone so she has nothing in case of an emergecy and she is unable to contact anyone. If she needs to make a call, she's asked to use the person's phone during a sale. The other sales persons on her team abuse her as well because she's not selling enough. She did mention a couple names of guys, the only one I could remember was Burgess who told her if she sold more and more she could work her way up to making a million a year WHAT A JOKE!. She's so young and has no idea what to do right now and she can't get home and is worried about her baby. She was going to stick with it because she says they pay for her place to sleep and she's from states away so she doesn't know where else to go. She really tried very hard to sell, but since she's so young I don't think anyone will take her seriously around here. My friend bought one bottle out of sympathy, because he didn't want her to be stranded. These men need to be in jail for exploiting these young people.

A fast talking young lady woke me from a nap this afternoon, and I fell for her spiel. I wrote her a check, and she gave me a bottle of the Green Apple cleaner and said she'd be back in an hour or so with the other bottle. As soon as she left, I got on the computer and found this site. Wrote a note telling her to take the Green stuff and I knew this was a scam and was stopping payment on my check. When I got to the bank, the manager said something along the lines of "Oh, not them again" and immediately issued a stop payment order.

On Tuesday October 8 2013 (In Darlington SC) I had a woman knock on my door and was trying to sell the product in the rain. When I asked her about an umbrella she stated that she wasn't lucky enough to own one. She then continued to talk about the product and about how safe it is by licking the tube from her bottle. I then asked her for a phone number so if I decieded that I wanted to purchase some later I could call her so she could make her money from the sale. She stated she didn't have a phone. Ok that is when I became alarmed. She had no vehicle, no phone and no umbrella. I called my neighbor and they refused to open the door for her, because she was singing and dancing under their carport. My neighbor's sister said she heard on the police scanner that there was a man on the street next to mine doing the same thing. I called the local Darlington SC Sheriff's office for the first time since 1990 and asked them to send out an officer to cleck the area. I asked her for her name and she wrote Lara Kyle on the back of the brochure that she allowed me to keep. According to facebook she is from Las Vegas NV. Beware of anyone who is trying to sell you products and they are so broke they can't afford a phone, car or umbrella and brochure states company is out of state. I am attaching a picture of the person who was at my front door. FYI I thought she wasn't dress approiately to sell door to door and excuse me but I couldn't help but notice she was missing her front tooth.

We had 2 of these fast talking men at our door yesterday (01/07/2014). I have lots of this useless cleaner from past purchases under our kitchen sink, so I declined to buy the $39.95 bottle. They would NOT leave or take NO for an answer. They sprayed my front door, my walkway and my husband's truck AFTER I TOLD THEM NOT TO DO THAT! My husband came outside and he was given the same sales pitch, he too politely said no. When the men realized we MEANT NO, they got aggravated, insulting, and then they got aggressive. Disrespecting, cussing, name calling, etc. This was shocking, because we were VERY NICE in telling them no. Then, the larger man got within 10 feet of my husband ON OUR DRIVEWAY and they got into a very loud shouting match. I had to CALL THE POLICE. Naturally they left the neighborhood after I made the call and the sheriff got here too late to catch them in the act. But, you should know the very "nice person" trying to sell you that useless colored water is NOT AS NICE AS HE/SHE SEEMS! Beware, for your own safety...next time I will certainly NOT open the door!

We live in a small town outside of a larger city, and it seems like we get a knock at our door by these salespeople every other month or so! We had a girl show up yesterday with her backpack and bottles of cleaner. She demonstrated the marker on the rag & the fingerprints on the window, all the while telling me she was in college in Kansas City. I have never heard of a university allowing a student it miss 7 weeks of school (she told me shed been in our area 7 weeks with no end in sight). She asked me about 8 times to adopt her because she is 20 and needed a nice home to live in. Then, a white Tahoe pulls up to my driveway. She said it was her supervisor. A Hispanic man got out and came over to start adding his two cents. When he first started talking, his voice sounded normal, and about 1/4 way through his conversation, he suddenly develops a VERY southern accent. I thought it was odd, and began to notice the little sales girl began to withdraw and lose her friendly attitude, almost like she was afraid of this dude. When I told her I needed to speak to my husband because I didn't have any cash or a card on me, the dude starts pacing back & forth in my front yard, I asked them to come back later in the evening when my husband would be home, and they tell me they can't always drive back out to our small town. Then she asks me why I don't 'just have my credit card number memorized?' The whole thing made me feel so uncomfortable. I'm certain even if the stuff was endorsed by the Pope, I'd refuse to buy it just because of their tactics and how uncomfortable the whole thing went.

PS, They did come back, and informed my husband they watched him pull up to the house! Needless to say, our alarm has been on & the police have been notified!

I had an experience from a company similar to this one several years ago, but from the inside. I was looking for work and answered their ad in an Orange County California paper (might have been the OC Register). I was pretty much flat broke at the time and desperate for a job. They were selling a product called "Blue Miracle" or something like that for about $20 a bottle. They load you along with a bunch of other people in a white van and take you to a "territory". They provide no training and expect you to learn on the job. They put you and about 10 other people (usually young kids) into a hotel room for the night. The new people (like me) get to sleep on the bed the first night. The rest sleep on the floor. The "owner" was a huge, shady looking character that claimed to have ties to the mafia and people in gangs. He also had a heavyweight boxer as a "body guard" that he brought everywhere we went. The company charges you for the hotel room, so you are already in the hole on your first day. The longer you stay with the company, the deeper in debt you get. They have your address and contact info and family info in case you try to leave. They take you to a neighborhood early in the morning and you knock on doors trying to sell their product to whoever answers the door. And yes, it's true: they don't feed you or pay you unless you sell their over-priced product. Most of the kids would load up on the "free" breakfast at the hotel, as that was probably their only meal of the day.
I have to admit that the product was pretty good, it cleaned most everything. But most people are leery about buying anything door-to-door and it is very difficult to even get one sale a day. The only "training" you got was watching the more experienced kids run their pitch at the door. We were told to not stop at houses with shoes at the door. (They told us that those were Asian households and notoriously cheap). Also no money was ever given to "children's charities" or the like.
At the end of the day, if you had no sales, you were abused and yelled at by the "manager" telling you things like "If you're afraid of 100 pound little Sally Housewife, she's nothing compared to what I will do to you!"
I decided right away that this wasn't the job for me. I paid off my hotel bill and told them I had to go home for a doctor's appointment.
They insisted to have one of their "people" escort me to my doctor.
I snuck into the personnel file cabinet, took my file and got the hell out of there.

I use the product for 9 years and it has always worked well for me, I just ran out and since I move out soon I wanted to make sure I got my cleaner . I ordered from a site that is run by jdiversifiedproducts@hotmail.com and chrisjacksonbiz@yahoo.com both the same person ... and 3 weeks later I still did not get my Order no e mail response no phone response . When I did call the guy was rude and seemed drunk as I could not understand his mumbling . I have since disputed my payment with the BBB and pay pal and know I will get my money back, but be aware that when ordering from this guy with this e mail you wont get nothing ! I do love the product as I believe it works and replaces lots of other cleaners but these guys those days are fishy and only out to take your money !

I've been buying Advanage for 15 years. I thought the very first salesman was going to scam me and I was very sceptical. After several different demonstrations of what it could do, I bought a bottle. I loved is so much, the next day I searched the neighborhood until I found him again and bought two more bottles. I buy it for my son and my mother and if they don't make it to our neighborhood for a couple of years, I will order it by phone or online. I'm not sure why the product didn't work for others here but I love it and just bought another bottle tonight!

I have been using Advanage for 11 years and have absolutely no complaints with the quality of the product. As a matter of fact, I've
sold several of my friends on the product as well. That doesn't mean I am a salesperson. I am simply a savvy consumer. My friends and I buy in bulk together in order to get the best price. Considering two of my friends run their own cleaning businesses, I'm thinking it isn't just my opinion that it is truly a fantastic cleaning. Even at full cost, a 7:1 dilution is still cheaper than the more expensive and inferior cleaners that one buys at the supermarket.

It is unfortunate that a good product is getting a bad reputation based on what I can only assume is shady salespeople. Advanage works. Plain and simple.

Hello! To all the jones's of the entire united states, my name is mboya marks, better known as the world's greatest entertainer, I sold advanage for 12years, Austin diversified products, aka advanage the wonder cleaner, changed my life, they taught me not just how to fish for a day but how to fish for life.I sold many couples, many people in about 48 states, never lied, never cheated, and made thousands of dollars every week, and remained in the top five on the sales charts every week, the company is great, and I trained hundreds of inner city youths, taught them how to be entertaining at peoples homes and how to be respectful at all times, I've been in many multimillion dollar homes and have sold many athletes and movie stars, never stole anything and I always gave a live and in living color show at the front door that they never seen before, and my customers were always pleased. It breaks my heart that so many sales people have ruined the door to door art, if I had to pick up a ducket today I would still be able to smoke any competition that would try to challenge me.I learned from the best, Mr.white, Sam glee, lonnie hall, IRA Roberts, andre Cottrell, Antonio brim r.i.p., Harley Hyatt, the greats, and I owe it all to god, for blessing me with the talent, and for Mr.Nathan t. Edwards for giving me a chance to sell.Yes and I to went through the drug and alcohol thing to but the company didn't do that, I was young and had lot's of money, when your making 3 to 4 grand a week temptations are strong and it brings you a lot of women and so called friends, so now i've been cleen and sober for 6 years, I have three daughters and a son, who were all made with women who I trained in the company, I live in Tucson Arizona now and life is good and if any advanage salesperson wants to call me they can, or any advanage customer who's using the cleaner, who doesn't remember a delution on how to clean something, just call me [protected].Advanage works as long as you use it right, read the brochure, and call the police on all ### salesmen or saleswomen, who seem shady, whether black or white, or any color don't discriminate or hesitate.love peace and hairgrease, to all advanage customers and salespeople.Holla at your boy Donald Davis, or Tim burgess, stay strong, and always keep a door in your face and a big smile. It's about the show.

I am so happy I didn't buy this stuff. What is this company doing to its sales people to keep them trapped and locked in?

Why do people keep falling for this nonsense? As soon as I saw the kid I shook my head "no" and timed how long it would take to get rid of him. It's 2015, don't ever buy anything from someone who knocks on your door, and only answer your door if you're ready for something to go down. No good ever comes of this. Ever. Period.

The product itself actually works really well if you mix it correctly. Also for the price it's pretty economical since you can easily make 25 spray bottles worth of the dilute for $40. Our doors had that weird yellow glue-like drip junk on it from humidity in the air as well as black buildup around the doorknobs and this was the ONLY cleaner that got both out. Not even magic erasers worked on this crap but the clear cleaner does and very easily. No, I do not work for this company or personally know anyone who does. It's just a good product for the price. If you don't want to buy it from a real actual hard working person who comes to your door, buy it on eBay. It's easy to find online.
