Safety of underage children
My daughter, age 15, was an employee at one of your locations. During one of her shifts another employee (56 yr old adult) solicited my underage daughter to sit in front of a man naked for $500. She receives $100 for recruiting. The younger they are more money she receives. I believe this woman is also a manager. So when the owner heard about this his solution was that they just can’t work together anymore. She didn’t get fired. She’s still allowed to work around children. Instead of contacting the minors mother (me) or the police, the owner tried scaring my daughter with marijuana charges. And still didn’t contact me. My daughter no longer works there, I’ve contacting the authorities, but I’ve had little to no help. This has torn my world apart. To top it all off, I know the manager. She asked for my permission to give my daughter a book with swear words but doesn’t inform me that my daughters being solicited into sex trafficking? Disturbing. Is taco John’s in on it?
Injury in mouth from a rock? In super nachos
I was eating super nachos from taco John’s and bit into a rock! My tooth broke off, I cut my lip and spit out blood! This was at 6:02 pm on 3/2/2023. I’m so upset! They better do something. This is going to be expensive to repair and I’m in a ton of pain! I’ve eaten there and found hairs in my food, taco burgers with a teaspoon of meet with promises of coupons I never received!
Desired outcome: Financial recourse something to fix my mouth!
Theft
We paid for our order and then realized we were grossly
overcharged about a 25% overage. I pointed out to the
person who rang up my order, and she informed me that
the register rang different then what's posted on the
menu. To make a long story short when the manager
came to handle the situation he told the clerk she had
already been instructed as follows,
" when a customer
catches this overcharge to give them back the money"
Wow! If the customer doesn't catch it you Are
overcharged. This is a very deceptive practice that they
admit they are aware of and continue to do do it.
Employee complaint
I am an employee at Taco John's in Dover, TN. I am making a conplaibt because the owner has a total disregard for her employees safety and well being. She decided to keep the store open with a blizzard incoming. To the point where I wouldn't have made it home if it wasn't for another employees father giving me a ride home in their 4x4 truck. I doubt anything will come of this but I do want it know that, the owner of Taco John's of Dover, TN has little to no regard for human life or safety. Her money is more important than her employees lives and safety.
Desired outcome: I doubt anything will come of this, the desired out come would be a hot to their pocket book in way of a fine or something. But I doubt that is legal or even an option
New hot sauce flavor

Went to my local Taco John’s today in Paducah, KY.. And I am TOTALLY disappointed and dissatisfied with the new flavors of the iconic sauce. Especially the hot. It’s actually a lot like Taco Bell, which I do not like. Please bring back the original flavors. I have enjoyed Taco John’s since I was a child. I’m 46 now. Completely heartbroken!

Was denied service for an item you guys have
Hello i am quite upset. I go as much as possible to get your potato oles very good. I usually get extra seasoning with it. I go through the drive through but this time I went in. I asked for extra seasoning when ordered when I was given The food I asked if I was provided with extra seasoning I was told no you can not have that we can not do that.
But as I was saying I get it every time I go. I have decided I will not ever come to your restaurant again. For you as a whole company has either lied to me every other time by me asking for extra and or a manager is lying to their employees either way I can’t stand 0 integrity.
Desired outcome: For you to fix what ever is going on there since you lost a family of 9 that loves to go here since it taste good and is cheaper then most but some where else sounds better
Terminal scam - overcharging
This complaint is for the location in Winner, SD. Winner is a small town. We all complain about how none of us have ever received a single correct order from this place. And some of us went every single day and no longer do so. Not only do we have to drive back every time to address the order issue, but they end up giving the wrong order AGAIN. It is definitely intentional. The employees are overworked and not treated well I’m assuming. There’s a high turn over rate and no matter who is working, your order is wrong. Not only that but they tend to overcharge you for your order. when you go inside, they blatantly admit that their terminal is overcharging for some reason and they do nothing to remedy it. This is a SCAM. This is a well known scam that CRIMINALS use on credit card terminals and ATM’s across the world. I have never in my life seen it in a restaurant and I worked in the credit card industry. Generally this happens from someone who does not work at the facility, but clearly someone who works here has tampered with the terminal. I don’t know if it’s taco johns scamming us or Buche Foods, the owner of the franchise, but people are upset and are beginning to not only boycott the restaurant, but are talking about brainstorming on how to really bring attention to this scam. Small towns are tight knit communities that can make big moves when they feel passionate about something and we are passionate about not being taken advantage of. Please look into this before we take it into our own hands and escalate it further.
Desired outcome: Fix your terminal. Properly train your staff and ensure they understand importance of order accuracy. Simple common sense please.
New mild and hot sauces
I have loved taco johns since I was a little kid 40 years ago. Most specifically for the mild sauce.
I thought I was going crazy earlier this year when I noticed the sauces were completely different.
A couple more visits in, and I realize they have been replaced with different versions.
Whyyyyyyyyy?
No one I know likes the new ones.
The sauce has always been such an important part of taco johns for me. Now, sadly, I just bypass taco johns for other options.
At least I know what im going to get at taco bell.
Hot and mild sauce packets
The hot and Mild sauce packets now set out at Taco Johns taste terrible. The taste is gritty and has a strong chili flavor. Our family likes the tomato based spicy sauces in the past. Please bring them back. It is causing us to bypass your eatery for another when we have been loyal customers since we were kids.

I went into the taco John's location in Waterloo Iowa on la porte rd. I ordered a EZ combo #5 grilled chicken and got regular beef burrito and I asked for no sour cream and there was sour cream on it. The potato oles for that order were very cold and weren't fresh. I also ordered another EZ combo #5 with fried chicken burrito and got a EZ combo #1 so that was an incorrect item. Then I ordered a churro and it was very over cooked to hard to bite into. I want a full refund back to my card that I used to pay for my order

There have been many issues the past month with very slow service at the drive-through. Therefore, this time we decided to order and pay for our hook food ahead of time. We spent $28. Our order number was 953223. We order our food from the Stillwater Minnesota location (Oak Park Heights). We placed our order at 6:27 PM on October 25. 15 minutes later, we went to pick up our food, but you could not go inside to pick up the food. Therefore, we had to go in line to go through the drive-through to pick up our food. The line was very long And the line was moving very slowly. We arrived at the drive-through at 6:50 PM and did not get our food until 7:10 PM. This is a terribly long time to wait in line to get a pick up order. And when we moved up to the window to get our food, they did not even have it ready and we had to wait there another 5 minutes! This is the worst service ever, and I thought Taco Bell should know about it. Not only that, the Powerball I ordered included half of the amount that it usually does, beans were missing, it was thrown together very quickly and sloppy because someone was in a hurry. I do not understand why you have the option to order ahead when it does not make a difference whatsoever.
We are very unhappy about our experience yet again at this location. Also, I attempted to contact someone at headquarters, but I had no success. There isn’t someone to even answer the phone there, so this tells me a lot as well. I’m sorry, but things seem to be going down the tubes with Taco Bell.

I went to Taco Johns and ordered a taco salad, medium potato ole and had a $5 taco salad coupon. So looking at the receipt there was only $1.49 and $.96 deducted. on 10/07/22 approximately 7:30, I went through the drive up at the Taco John's store located at 4111 Egan Dr, Savage, MN [protected] and ordered a grilled breakfast scrambler burrito. I've been at this store several times and each time I've had to repeat myself to the lady taking the order. Not sure what's going on there, but she isn't listening. So, I proceed with my order and asked for it to be grilled. She told me the grill wasn't hot yet, so I ordered it regular.
For starters, if the store opens at 7:00am CST, why isn't the grill hot by 7:30am CST? Also, the quality of this burrito was terrible. It wasn't wrapped completely and some of the ingredients spilled out. There was no cheese sauce inside and the onions used were huge. Worst burrito I've ever had. I regularly visit the store in downtown Minneapolis and "Alma" is wonderful, provides courteous service, and the burritos are fantastic.
Lastly, please speak with the staff at the Savage store and re-motivate them. I get it the store is under construction. I get it that help may be needed and hiring can stall at times. However, there should be some sense of pride with the staff there and they should be providing a much better customer experience than they are. Thank you for your time and consideration in getting these issues corrected.
Desired outcome: I would like to continue going to this store, but would really like a better product and tighter control by the staff, of their store's operation.
Order was wrong
I ordered 2 supper burrito s and 1 chicken burrito, ola's and cheese on Sept.25 at about 7:30 at The Dubuque Central Ave. Taco John's. Paid $26. And change. Only got 1 beef burrito. When I returned they did give me not 1 but 2 burrito s for the mistake. They were so wet and slimy like someone spit all over them I threw them away and had no dinner. Thanks guys

pulled up to drive thru and was greated by a pleasant person .I looked at menue and right below the speaker was a bright sign that said breakfast burrittos 2 for$6 I said yes thats what Ill have the breakfast burrittos Ill have four 2 sausage 2 bacon and finished with the rest of my order was given a total and proceed to the window to pick my order up thinking that sounded kinda high but with prices these days I figured something else I orderd had jumped in price the pleasant voiced lady hands me my food and receipt thats when I seen that I was charged $8.49 for 2 sausage burrittos and $8.49 for 2 bacon burrittos when I questioned her the pleasant voice lady attitude changed and she said she ordered like I requested it and if I wanted the special I should have ordered it as the special and would not give me the sale price .I feel this is close to theft and I am requesting a refund for $5.18 ESPECIALLY when the sign is right below the speaker and does not say you must request sales price or you will get charged regular price the food was good but the advertisement and customer service is questionable

Not correct order.
On 09-01-2022 at 12:01 pm sale #[protected] Drive Thru #1 Taylor at 225 W. 4th Ave. in Holdrege, Nebraska one of the 2 orders was correct. The other order was completely wrong. I ordered 2 beef burritos with no onions. I got 2 bean burritos. Then I ordered a Taco Bravo with sour cream. There was no sour cream. I usually love Taco Johns but what an absolute shame.
Desired outcome: At least reimbursed for a meal where I could only eat 1 of the 3 items I ordered.
The complaint process
I submitted a complaint about the Taco John's franchise in Wheatland, WY on approximately August 4, 2022 in the late afternoon. The complaint discussed the employees of this franchise being "high" on the job, carrying weapons, selling drugs out the back door. On August 5, 2022 Mary read my complaint including my name and contact information to all the employees. It did not take but a minute for them all to know the complaint was filed by me since Wheatland is a very small community and everyone knows everyone. Therefore, retaliation was not far behind. So I want to thank you for setting me up for the abuse I am now taking along with my business and associates. This was very unfair to me. If I had thought at any time you were going to throw me under the bus for bringing a legitimate concern to you I would never have spoke up. I felt the safety of the community was important but it clearly is not as important to you.
Desired outcome: I would like a formal apology from Taco John's and the local franchise to include the franchise owner's and acknowledgement that changes are being made. I would like to know that future concerns are met with some form of confidentiality.

Placed the order, took 20+ min to get our food. And when we got there, we were the only ones in the restaurant including the Drive thru.
Ordered a taco salad with the included sour cream that came with the salad, but ordered the sour cream on the side. We got it on the side, and was also charged for it as you can see on the included receipt. The meat on the salad was cold when they delivered it to the table.
The 4 tacos were hardly warm as well and the shells were soggy due to setting to long.
Two other orders to go came inside while we were waiting on our order and they both also waited over 20 min. The one lady looked disgusted and a comment was made after sitting and waiting. The comment was "they are really batting 1000". When that lady checked her order prior to leaving the store, I heard her say that her order wasn't complete to one of the employees. And also, the employees had to ask both waiting people, that placed their to-go orders, what it was that they ordered before they could make there food. It was as if they didn't have a ticket for them behind the counter.
So I complained about the sour cream charge and I got reimbursed for the sour cream after a small disagreement about the employee's misunderstanding and confronting the manager.
I drove out of my way to eat at this Taco Johns. $5 gas for sub-standard food, and service and that really didnt set well with me. I live over 30 miles from this store. My car gets less than 30 mpg. It takes approximately 40 min to drive there.
I stopped eating at a closer Taco John location that was in Clinton Ia. About 8 yrs ago due to the poor standard in quality there. They developed a nickname for their lack of meat. Everyone called them "smear tacos" because they spread the meat so thin it was like they smeared the shell with meat like butter, and filled it up with lettuce.
That location isn't open in Clinton Ia. anymore..
This is aggregating having to spend my time describing my frustration. I hope this complaint is received as constructive to your company. I would hate to see you close other locations do to the neglect of the business.
It took alot for me to find, fill out and write up this complaint over this almost $17 meal for two people.
I have always liked the Tacos at your stores, except for the Clinton location. I always felt like the Clinton location was trying to "stick it" to its customers. Other customers I talked to felt the same as well and would use the nickname "Smear Tacos". They too quit going to Clinton Ia location or quit going to Taco Johns all together.
But in the past I've had decent service and food at this Davenport location. In fact, sometimes it would be so good that I would drive thru for more tacos, a second time, when they were made correctly. Please correct your issues at all your locations. Please maintain quality standards. I hate seeing businesses failing.
Sorry for the book I wrote, but its about time something gets changed, or you end up failing yourselves.

Restaurant in thief River Falls, MN
Over a month ago my brother and I went to this restaurant and ordered two meat and potato meals only to discover after we were 20 plus miles away that we were charged over $20 just for two burritos and no oles. Piss poor service and slow as hell. Take over five minutes at the order board before they even take our order and then another 15 minutes to get to the window and now get what we paid for. Today we went and tried to order a six pack and a pound which comes with a pound of potato oles and the employee asks what size oles I want like are you serious that you don't even know the products your slinging. This is absolutely the worst service I have ever had at a fast food restaurant because they pay their employees $16 an hour which is more then some area manufacturing plants and they can't even do their jobs right. I will not not patronize a place that pays top dollar to workers that deliver sub par performance. This is pathetic.
Desired outcome: Fire their idiot workers or provide better training so they actually know the products and stop ripping people off. Or shut the [censored]ing place down if they can't get it right.

I was at your taco John's in Fremont Nebraska. I am a door dasher and as I. Pulling in to your drive way with the temperature being 98° at 6pm on june 20th 2022 I see your manager at the time sent a kid out to hold a sign in this weather. That is not right! Also while I'm inside the restaurant 2 employees were handling prepared food with bare hands. This is unsanitary in so many ways please correct this or I will file a formal complaint.
