TAG Heuer is by far the most overpriced watch that is a piece of crap. How a watch rated for 200 meters water resistent becomes fogged inside of the crystal is beyond me. TH will give you excuses that make no sense, They will not offer any warranty service because they know the quality is so poor. Excuses like "You must get your watch serviced every 2 years to keep it running properly" are absurd. DO NOT buy one, its a pretty boy piece of $#!+.
The complaint has been investigated and resolved to the customer’s satisfaction.
Tag Heuer is the world's most garbage made watch. This piece of crap watch
continually needs servicing. The crown keeps breaking every few years when just adjusting the date/time. This garbage piece of crap TAG Heuer watch has no good quality workmanship, constantly needs service from the crown to stop watch, second pieces are not correct, etc... DO NOT BUY THIS GARBAGE MADE TAG HEUER BECAUSE YOU WILL CONSTANTLY SPEND HUNDREDS OF DOLLARS EACH YEAR FIXING & SERVICING THIS CHEAP QUALITY TAG HEUER WATCH. Spend you money on a better quality watch. I wish I would have read about this poor quality Tag Heuer before I bought one for myself and my wife. Never again.
Another reason this garbage, cheap quality made TAG Heuer watch is garbage is that you cannot find an e-mail address or name of any top executive or customer complaint on their website. They do not want you to send them their probably thousands of complaints to their president or someone who will read about the poor quality workmanship of a Tag Heuer watch, the garbage keeps breaking, the crown keeps falling off, etc.. They rather not publish an e-mail address or name of a top executive on their entire site to avoid hearing the bad complaints from everyone. Sooner or later everyone will find out about the garbage, cheap quality made TAG HEUER watch.
You're absolutely right. Tag Heuer is well known to make sub-par watches. They use a generic, off the shelf, ETA movement and then charge thousands of dollars for marketing hype. The watches will give you as much quality as a Seiko which costs half the price.
If you really want a decent higher end watch invest in a Rolex or Jaeger LeCoultre. You will not be disappointed
You don’t buy just a movement. The finish, precision, fit and design is what you see and feel and considerable better than the cheaper watches. Everyone gets so hung up about the movement. If you just want a movement go and buy a movement. See how far that gets you.
Absolutely a piece of crap. I wish I had never bought one. I had it less than 4 years and it started to stop and start on it's own. It's been in 4 times and had the movement replaced every time, plus a complete service and TAG can't fix it rendering it pretty much worthless. DO NOT buy one of these watches. In the meantime I've got a 20 year old Seiko that hasn't missed a tick.
Bought a TAG CARRERA CAL 6 HERITAGE on March 7, 2013 on the second day the 9th of March 2013 it stop. I returned the watch at Sydney Tax & Duty Free Store and was inform it will be taken in for assessment, I told them I want a replacement. After a month they contacted me and the watch had a minor fault and was repaired which they say was common to automatic watches, what a load of bull. This just show that their product is inferior not the quality they claim. Up to today the 7th of June 2013 the watch is still at the Sydney Tax & Duty Free Store. They want to confirm my mailing address so they can return the watch. I asked if it was replaced and said a minor repair was carried out, well I still want it replaced. A manager will get in touch with me. I hope that all prospective TAG shoppers will think twice. In my 50 years of owning and still wearing 2 automatic watches I've never have to return for repair or replacement. I really believe that TAG HEUER WATCHES are OVER RATED.
I bought a tag heuer watch almost a year ago and have had the stop watch first go out of sync, then stopped all together. The store I bought the watch from was useless as I was asked to call Tag Heuer in he city else it would take "months". Rally rude too. Would have expected more after buying a watch over $1000. I was sold the watch under the stores advise hat tag heuer watches are extremely accurate and reliable. I was also told when asked that they recieve a very small number of returns compared to other watch brands.
Anyway, the tag heuer store in the city was far more friendly but still advised that they need to send it in which could take up to 5 weeks for the watch to be returned. I was advised I would be called and a text would be sent once repair is complete.
They did send me text messages that advised me when the watch was both received for repair then another 3 days later after the repair but nothing more.
After 7 weeks I called the city store where I was advised my watched had been there for over 2 weeks. They then argued that their systems don't make errors and I must have received a text. Even after showing them my phone, they still said that I must have deleted it by mistake.
Before going in for repair I was happy with the watch itself but since the stop watch has been repaired, it can't tell time. It's 1.5 to 2 seconds out per day. I just rang them about 10 min ago and was advised that between 10 and 20 seconds out per day is fine.
What a piece of crap!
I love the add. A PERFECT watch was born. Don't do it, cocky, rude service and a clock that can't keep time. Awesome waste of money.
I agree a hopeless piece of ###. I paid £1350 for an aqua racer 5 and the crown wont screw down plus i have never been able to alter the date. Now they are saying that because of a minute scratch to the bezel and a tiny nick out of the corner of the watch that it is 'accidental damage'...###! THIS IS A DIVERS WATCH SUPPOSEDLY!. in reality it is nothing more than a fashion accessorie...see you in court ###s
Tag Heuer are absolutely the biggest steaming piece of ### ever to hit the market. It's worse than that. The whole thing's a scam. Is works like this:
The product itself is ###, the product of inferior engineering and mass production. But first they use a name that Americans will associate with "European" and "Germanic." So Americans will pay a lot for them. They build them to break down every few years unless you keep bringing them in for service, and then they make more money off of you for that. But they turn it around and say, "this is really high performance stuff that has to be highly maintained, " like it's a B-2 bomber. Eventually you realize what a piece of ### you bought but instead of buying Japanese decide oh well I guess "you get what you pay for" and spend twice as much on the next level up.
The whole thing's a scam. It wasn't always that way. Swiss made a good product a a reasonable price until the Japanese killed them in the 1970's with quartz, and the Swiss industry decided (probably correctly) that they only way they were going to survive was to jack prices up sky high regardless of quality.
I sort of don't have a problem with it. Power to them. They'll always find people who would blow $1000 or $2000 at the casino every so often to spend that on one of their watches instead.

Since the Japanese "Seiko" means in English "Exquisite Success, " which would be perceived as a pretty silly name for a watch, they just used their Japanese name instead.
So "Seiko" as in "Acura NSX, " "Nissan GTR, " "Nikon D4S/Nikkor", "Honda CBR4, " Seiko as in Japanese engineering, no-apologizes mass automated production to absolutely psychotic levels of precision, reliability, quality and performance.
Swiss? Yeah they used to be the best. That was a long time ago. And yeah there's still a few good brands. And a lot of bad ones.
Tag Heuer?Swiss made? Swiss for "###."
How can we complain directly to Tag Heuer? I have tried thrugh the local dealer and repair center and the watch has been there for 5 times in 4 years, some of them I even had to pay for the "repair" and its quickly adding up and will soon match the original cost of the piece...How can I escalate outside of the local dealer?
Biggest rubbish watch I've owned. Never kept accurate time since the day I bought it new from the shop and it was a freaking Quartz and still ran wrong even after I changed the battery. Luckily I sold it and didn't lose much money on the watch. Would never buy tag again.
Battery needs to be replaced every two years on average, at a cost now approaching $40. I inherited this thing and would NEVER have bought it myself. Hope these things will die out, there must be better ways to tell the time! Does have a nice engraving of a diver on the bottom.
My $4000 watch needs adjustment every second day ! I regret buying it. Clever advertising for a cheap piece of junk.
Here is my experience with TAG

Buyers Beware!
I agree bought a carrera for $2700 from an outlet shop in Houston. What a mistake has gone to the factory shop 2 x and still does not work. It did not work from the get go. My $100 Fossil worked better then TAG Heuer. They don't want to give my money back nor will they fix it right got a crappy deal
No wonder my Heuer 01 started stopping after 8 months since purchase. That's a $5300 watch! Phew!
I have bought this Tag watch from Grand hyatt Mumbai shop last year. i was told that once you wear it and it starts to work it would not need to be winded for 48 hrs. Even though it is worn during the day its stops working during the night initially, Now it stpos working even while wearing. Sometimes it displays wrom time. we tried various options and then started to wind it each day even though we had been told it is not required. we got it repaired twice once at Nehru place Delhi, and second time at same dealer we bought Poply. He said that some part is coming from Switzerland thus took many days to repair. Even now getting it from them problem continues. We again mentioned the problem of winding it and the shop keeper assured us it is working fine, it is 3 months after getting it back and it is not working properly again. it stops working every night even though it is worn during the day! this is not acceptable for the amount paid for the watch and despite bringing it to the service center notice.
Out of last 11 months, I am hardly able to wear this watch for few months, rest of the time I am puzzled taking the same to your distant service centers in Metros. I am pissed off with TAG now.
Why someone should admire TAG as premium brand? I have seen many similar complaints on web againt TAG watch. I am feeling cheated. If you dont resolve my problem immediately, I will have to go to consumers court to get justice.
Bought a TAG Calibre Link 5 Automatic for my 30th. Biggest piece of ### ever. Broke after 13 months, repaired under warranty. Broke another 18 months later and they want me to pay $280 to have the movement replaced. They advise after all this has happened that apparently it's normal that the movement will need to be replaced every couple of years. What the ###? for a watch that cost $3, 500 AUD why should I have to have it repaired every two years? it should last a lifetime. I'm currently commencing recovery proceedings in small claims court against the company that sold me this heap of ### watch to get my hard earned money back. Stay away from this garbage
Agree . Bought a tag F1 in Jan this year, fell apart in Oct, back form fixing. Sorry for the problem...I don't think so...Never never again.
