It’s priceless ✨
It’s presented in a delightful manner, I always did favor this deck I feel the intent and the wisdom between artists and author come across as an absolute knowledge, a perfectly wrapped gift. The organic marriage of information and illustration is why this deck will always be my favorite. The instructions are simple and gracious. I couldn’t be more grateful as a serious but beginning student of the art of tarot. My head and my heart have resided in the mystic world of the occult . It speaks my language, as does this deck. Shout out to The Fool’s Dog!
I wasn’t a believer
Know that It takes patience and working with the universe to understand how to apply each card to your own life but each card is relevant and the reversals being allowed is a wonderful tool because you can take those to be your most blessing cards. As they warn you of something , almost like a hidden friend. You must trust the deck and that the message is not just a message that was given to you by accident, instead trust that universe wanted you to see that card for a reason,
Journaling is crucial for spiritual growth and understanding that your path is only beginning
Best tarot app I've ever used EXCEPT
EXCEPT for when I try to open the journal to see past readings the app always crashes immediately. If this could be fixed, I’d love this app. I use it everyday for when I'm on the go or can't whip out my own cards. For someone who doesn't or can't own their own tarot deck, I think this is the best option. I love that it has a variety of spreads built into it and it gives you the option to randomly put the cards wherever you want-perfect for using a spread not already included in the app.
If you're considering this, find tarot interesting, this is a great place to start.
Love this app!
I refer to the Tarot app every day- either to pick a card in response to an experience- or to do a full reading. It helps me to connect to that which is, was and is to come.
The includes spreads and literature are very informative - excellent for me in addition to the Case book and other resources to learn.
I dig the layout, and flexibility- I would like if in future versions they acquired rights to use Morgan-Greer, Aquarian, Royal Fez, B.O.T.A. Tarot deck, etc. in addition to the Rider-Waite.
Might also be great to include resources for numerology, astrology, esoteric color theory-
Eric
Good will of the developer on full display
I can’t say anything that everyone else has an already said.

COMBINE THIS APP WITH AN APP CALLED ‘TAROT & NUMEROLOGY’ AND YOU WILL HAVE EVERYTHING TAROT THAT YOU NEED FOR THE INCOMING MANUFACTURED APOCALYPSE SPONSORED BY THE WORLD ECONOMIC FORUM.
no books, no decks to weigh you down as you run from cannibals and raiders. These two apps are a complete school, library and practitioners kit.

Really good for beginners!
I've tried to dabble in tarot with books and online resources for about a year now and really got nowhere. This app has so much to offer and really is helping me learn about each meaning of the cards and readings. The descriptions in the spreads are really helpful and they really help me fully understand the meaning. I also like the explore button so I can learn about any card I would like to. Definitely worth paying for considering a tarot deck is between $20-30, not including anything you would pay for a book or instructions if needed. This is $4, and if you want to learn about tarot, this has been a really great resource in my experience.
On point!
I have dabbled in Tarot for the past 6 months and nothing really grabbed my attention the way this deck/app does! It blows my mind every time I do a reading for myself or someone else... If you are looking at getting this app, DO IT! Something brought you here don't ignore your inner voice or intuition. I heard a saying not to long ago.." Millionaires have accountants and billionaires have astrologers" I believe in the cards and I take each one of the cards in my readings in my own way, I can tell you one thing, I believer bc what I believe the cards are saying to me and I can see the changes in all areas of my life! Good luck and have fun!
Scary how accurate it is!
I get that answers can sometimes be vague in order to instill awe in people and encourage them to believe.. but this? It's crazy accurate! I ask about infidelity, it describes my past and present situation PERFECTLY, and the future card gives me an answer involving infidelity! I ask about a financial question and it gives me an answer that is based on finances. The only downside is that every time I draw "today's card" I tend to daw something negative, which makes me sad. I try hard to beat my depression and anxiety every day and choose to be happy, so it's difficult when I think the day ahead will offer many challenges (i guess that's my bad luck for ya) but this app is just amazing..
Low-frills, highly practical tarot tool
Drawing any kind of spread, or even constructing one from specific cards is very easy. There are copious in-app resources on card and spread meanings, but they aren’t intrusive- just there in case you’re looking for them. This combined with the journal feature, which archives your spreads and can even save a page of notes on each one, makes The Fool’s Dog apps both flexible and reliable. As for the deck, Rider Waite Smith is at least the most recognizable tarot set. Much as people will say to pick a deck that “calls to you”, RWS is a mainstay for practical reasons: clear, memorable, human images that are easy to commit to memory, while still maintaining some of the ambiguity in their expressions that gives Tarot reading its value.
Truly the best I've seen out there
I have searched and dabbled with a number of tarot apps, but none have brought me the overall experience and satisfaction that this one has. While I have been a tarot enthusiast for many years, it is the ease of having this app with me at all times that finally gives me the ability to work with the cards and study at a moment's notice. Also because I am still a novice student I appreciate using the Rider-Waite deck (while there are many beautiful decks out there) in order to more fully absorb the symbolism of the content, colors, numbers, etc. Finally, I would be remiss if I didn't mention the inclusion of both the journal feature and the two full length books with this app. You truly can't go wrong with this one, especially if you're trying to teach yourself and use this awesome time-tested oracle.
Perfect companion app for the rider-waitte deck and even others
I’ve been using this app for some time, probably around two years now, and it has come in handy more times than I can count.
The greatest thing about this app is it’s ease of use, especially when doing a reading, you can fire this bad boy up in five seconds, click three buttons, and be staring directly at a very informative description of the card you’re looking for. This alone has helped me countless times to refresh my memory or to help discern the meaning of a particular card in a spread.
Another great thing about this app is that, it has three very useful books (one of which includes a few spreads that aren’t listed in the spread area of the app) that help the beginning diviner to understand the cards on a much higher level, even delving deeply into each and every card.
Very useful app, overall great for helping you to learn and keep up a sharp edge with the rider-Waite tarot deck
Love this app!
I can't sing praises enough for this app! It has everything you could ever want or need to know about Tarot. I use it religiously to help familiarize myself with each card and its meaning. And even though I don't put much stock into reading cards that I can't physically touch, there's something to be said for the fact that you have the option to do electronic tarot card readings in this app. Not to mention the fact that the array of spreads they have to choose from has helped me endlessly in attempting to perfect my method and commit the significance of each card placement to memory. I don't know when or how I would have had the time to obtain all of the things I've learned about the mystic and enchanting ways of the Tarot deck without this app. If you want to learn to read tarot and haven't downloaded this app yet, then what are you even doing still reading this review? Go download it now! :p
mind blowing!
This app has already brought me so much, and its only the first day.
My entire life, I've been drawn to tarot, but have had religious upbringing keeping me away. Yet, throughout the years, the symbolism used within its practice was screaming out to me everywhere I looked (though I was oblivious to the concept).
I felt a pull, more recently, to the practice, as I have pushed aside the religious limitations I bared myself with, which were keeping me from most of my personal goals. I purchased the app, and BAM! instant enlightenment.
After doing MUCH reading from the books given in the app, my understanding of the cards helped me with my first reading/question: Should I really be getting into this?
I was shocked at the results, which were an obvious "yes". It broke down everything that I had in mind revolving around the question... And I didn't even have to type it into the app! I literally just focused on the question as I shuffled the cards! That is how I know there is some beneficial purpose behind the practice.
5 thumbs up!
Very well done
Being devoted to tarot and a web developer I wasn't sure how I'd feel about using this app. Knowing what kind of logic goes into writing the code for an app like this I wondered if it would be possible to tap into the mystic and profound qualities of the tarot (boy, was I wrong). I love my real deck but didn't want to carry it around so I gave this a try. Right out the gate the first spread conveyed some pretty insightful things regarding my question. I was immediately won over. The developer has done an excellent job. It is definitely possible to tap into deeper aspects of experience in an interface like this and learning that lesson actually helped me, too.
There are lots of spreads and the interpretations are good. There is also a book which I read and enjoyed. I'm very impressed. If you want to learn tarot or are experienced this is a great app. It also has a log so you can revisit spreads. So cool.
This is a great way to have a deck with you when you're traveling or at work and don't have the luxury of doing a physical reading. The results are just as valid as a paper deck.
Comprehensive
I've used many apps of many kinds and never felt compelled to write a review; regardless of how much I enjoyed the app. I feel like I should offer my opinion on this one, though. This app has features that make it perfect for anyone learning Tarot. It has two full length Tarot guide books built into the app, explanations of over a dozen spreads, and customizable draw features (you can toggle "reversed cards" on and off in the settings, for example). The deck built into the app is the classic Rider-Waite iteration. I appreciate this fact for the easy approach to the symbolism behind each individual card - there are many informational resources regarding this version of the deck.
My personal favorite feature of this app is probably the "Card of the Day" feature. It's designed to introduce you to a new card each day, allowing you to familiarize yourself with the major and minor arcana, gradually. Focusing or meditating on one card a day is a comfortable pace to learn a practice as intricate as Tarot.
I can't recommend this app for its own divination uses. Its interface is intuitive and fluid. Its design could have a little more personality, though. However my real reason for not recommending it for conducting readings itself has to do with my own purism. Personally, I believe a spiritual reflection like divination needs a physical aspect to ground the ensuing musings to relevant energies. But because this is only a personal preference of mine, I can't dock points on that note. I would instead recommend its use as a mobile reference source.
All things considered, I think at its price, this app is a steal for all of the material packed so neatly into it.
Probably the best Tarot app out there
This is overall a great app for Tarot. Many different spreads (& a custom option) make this an easy pick. They have many different versions of this same app albeit with different decks, so if the old classic standby of Rider-Waite doesn't suit you, there's many other options for you.
The customer support is also good (they can take a few weeks to get back to you, so be patient). They at least acknowledge issues & ultimately fix them, which is more than I can say of many developers, including top tier ones. Kudos for transparency on the developer's part. It's had some bugs here & there (see below or negative reviews), but as of 2.18 it seems they've all been patched.
2.18 :
Fixes all the below issues. Devs : Thanks for addressing the journal not opening.
2.17 :
Fixes the full text issue, but now the journal is inaccessible & drops the app back to the desktop.
2.16 :
The previous version worked perfectly, even fixing a long-standing issue with the journal becoming corrupted.
This version is buggy & trying to tap "full text from the book" usually doesn't work if the card started as full screen. Tapping on it brings up the text but then the "full text" link becomes inaccessible. The app goes into a state where you're interacting with some interface layer *abovethe text rather than the text itself. The only workaround I've found is to set the default view for readings to be text & card rather than full screen card which creates the issue above. The previous version did NOT have this bug (yes, I've confirmed on an older phone).
I'd be happy to restore an otherwise deserved full 5 star rating, but not until this issue is fixed. It makes a normally great app very aggravating to use. Buyer beware!
= The hermits LED lantern
This is the best tarot app of them all. The goal is to absorb the whole tarot making it a language between levels of consciousness, rather than memorize specific associations authored by others. This app has helped me learn to use the tarot to communicate to my self consciousness the aspirations of my individuality. It helps me with +"Today's card" a card to focus and meditate with throughout the day. As the card recurs and begins to have meaning that I can define with personal experience, the app + allows you to edit the meaning +that shows up when you decrease the + full screen card.+ This particular deck is the rider-waites
Which is most popular. A.E. Waites designed this deck and Pamela Coleman smith illustrated it. This is as good as having you're deck with you, other than the tactual feeling of cards. But I have found that spending time using the app easily builds a that relationship with my phone while using it. It comes with 2 books about using the tarot waites' one by the author of the deck. If you prefer some other translation of cosmic law there are literally 50! Decks you can shooed to use as an in app purchase.
There couldn't be a handier design for application of the tarot to a smart phone in my opinion. It is as simple as it should be and has great features that are not so much that they take away from the tarot experience. Again,... as organic the perfect tarot app could be. Choose how to shuffle, choose a spread cloth.
To the creators of the app, the tarot has been the most useful spiritually natured tool that I have ever needed. This digital deck has helped me sublimate these principles more richly and rapidly because of its simplicity. Many other apps that I use for "occult reference" are barely functional, too expensive to purchase or completely over complicated.
There is an ethereal conduit of gratitude pouring into the vessel idea which was you're will to design this app for the tarot to function in today's digital medium.
A Sincere thank you.
Tarot! Complaints 18
Unauthorized charges
This app charged my card a total of 3 times with each amount being $4.24; I am extremely devastated about this mishap. The app itself was ok but I will never recommend or purchase a single item from this company again.
Used to be great
This was a great app then it was updated and all the meanings disappeared for MONTHS which made it useless to me. Finally the meanings came back but are considerably less detailed than the original app. It’s average at best now
Crash whenever choose Journal from menue
Crash whenever choose Journal from menue. This is an obvious show stopper, but dev chose not to fix it. Nobody is maintaining the code since a year ago. Other tarot apps based from this code also have the same bug, like the Fellowship Fool.

Waste of money don’t buy
The spreads don’t work it use to allow you to click on a spread and you could get a reading now it doesn’t work this app is worthless now I paid to be able to see the different readings by clicking on the spread waste of money now it doesn’t work
Sad. Just sad
The creator created it this app just to abandon it in August only to charge people for dollars it's just sad because they won't update it and also because the journal part of the game makes the app close fix it this is sad you're ripping people off!
Not bad, could be better
Doesn’t tell you the connections between cards associated planets, nor does it tell you about the associated Astrological Signs. The Spreads could be more detailed. It’s better than most Tarot apps for iPhone. The best Tarot app is “Galaxy Tarot” for Android.
Terrible update on iPhone X
This app used to be my go-to tarot app. The info is so good and the interface was a pleasure to use, however the recent update from 3 weeks ago completely ruined the app for my on my iPhone X. The bottom menu when seeing the cards descriptions is basically unusable.
Bring back card meanings!
I agree with Ferocia below. The functionality of the app is fine and what I had enjoyed most - the extended card interpretations - has been so reduced and abridged I am much less inspired by the draws. Very disappointed. The text and historical info was the best part.
Update needed
I’ve used and loved this app for years now but after getting the iPhone X there are numerous layout issues that make it difficult or impossible to press buttons in the app.
I’m not sure if this is an easy fix or not but I can’t recommend the app to others until it has been.
Waste
Totally a waste. The instructions are pretty vague and at the same time the predictions from cards are very very generic and does not give any clue to any of the question. I would recommend to download a palmistry or astrology app rather than this. Complete waste of my money.
Reverse Card Random Issues
Great app and over the years it’s been great for learning my actual deck but 70% of the time, it pulls reverse. Reverse is important for readings, so turning it off makes the app hard to trust the readings. Needs some adjustments. When is the last time this app has been updated?
Crashes when you try to open your journal
This is a beautifully designed app but the fact that ir crashes when you try to open your journal is really a bummer. I see that a lot of people complained about it in previous reviews, for a long time, and yet nothing has been done. It’s a shame, bc other than that, the app is perfect.
5 Stars but the full text button is broken!
Hi Tarot! I’ve been using this app for about a year and always love reading the full text but lately on my iPhone X the read full text button doesnt work. When i press it, it just pulls up the journaling/reverse menu, please fix this! just marking 1 star to get your attention
Very untrue readings
I don’t know why but some divination systems just don’t work. Maybe the Tarot is legit but this particular app doesn’t give good or reliable readings. I can ask it something and have it be literally proven wrong 20 seconds later. Great if u wanna just look at the cards. But using as an oracle is a joke.
Journal stops working once it goes below the on screen key board
Once you get half way down the page writing in the journal, you cannot edit or see what you are typing. This makes the function not usable. This is an excellent way to work and was a selling point for the app. I may request my money back and delete this app. It’s just like any other tarot app without this feature.
Save your money
This is literally the worst tarot app. Save your money. If you want to wake up to terrible news every single day, you’ll love this app. A friend has a different app where the same cards have much more positive interpretations. I almost feel like the app is designed to keep you away from tarot. Buy it and you will see what I mean.
Version 2.17 unusable
I use this app multiple times a day--it's the 2nd most valuable app on my phone after Gmail. Yet this version makes it unusable because the journal isn't accessible. I have to take screenshots of draws to my camera roll or I'll never see them again. I've emailed app support, so I am writing a review here in hopes of a fix. Please restore the app I love, thanks!
Constantly gets stuck
...and then you can’t go back, forward, or exit the app. Even rebooting my phone doesn’t make it budge. Have to delete and re-download the app every time this happens, which is quite often! I try to avoid using this app but am studying the tarot and sometimes want to see the original interpretations which this has. The app could be a great reference, if only it worked right, sigh.
About Tarot!
The Major Arcana consists of 22 cards, each representing a major life lesson or theme. These cards are often seen as the most powerful and significant in a Tarot reading. The Minor Arcana consists of 56 cards, divided into four suits: Wands, Cups, Swords, and Pentacles. Each suit represents a different aspect of life, such as creativity, emotions, intellect, and material possessions.
When a Tarot reading is performed, the cards are shuffled and laid out in a specific pattern, or spread. The reader then interprets the cards based on their position in the spread and their individual meanings. Tarot readings can provide insight into a wide range of topics, including love, career, finances, and spirituality.
One of the most well-known cards in the Tarot deck is the Fool. The Fool represents new beginnings, taking risks, and living in the moment. It is often seen as a symbol of innocence and naivety, but also of courage and adventure. The Fool is a reminder to embrace the unknown and trust in the journey ahead.
Overall, Tarot is a powerful tool for gaining insight and guidance in life. While it may not provide all the answers, it can offer a fresh perspective and help individuals make more informed decisions.
