My tata photon plus no. [protected] is unnecessarily topped up with some idiotic VAS which I don't even know what really is value-add about it. Just that, I get a charge of Rs. 99 every month in the name of that VAS which I had to get reverse each and every time by calling up their customer care. Why can't they just deactivate that feature? Something as gross as automatic charges levying by a corporation like TATA is substantiating the fact that all the companies are the same. They just want to extract as much money from their customers, irrespective of the value being provided against it.

Tata photon services
I had taken a Tata Photon plus data card, MDN [protected] & within few days shifted to a new house where the problem started. So I called the toll free no. for support when Mr.Rajesh [protected] (contact no) turned up saying he would be checking for the technical problem. After thorough checking he commented that this is a networking problem (Repair activity form no.696) and the next day I received a call stating that this problem cannot be resolved. I received a mail also. In the above circumstances I said its better I handover the things & wind up when Mr. Manoj Kumar (Rajesh's boss) telephonically assured me that 75% of my paid amount for the data card would be refunded along with the rental to be waved off for the current month. But now no one is ready to neither listen nor rectify the problems and only advised to visit the different Tata Indicom service centre.

Fake & fraudulent charges
I have received a demand letter from the panel solicitors of Tata Teleservices stating that I am defaulting on the mobile bill providing a number which I have never used. I have always paid my whatsoeva bill has been, whether broadband, mobile etc.
I have made payments upto date rather in advances to Airtel/Vodafone/Tikona Digital Networks/Tata Docomo/Tata Broadband for various services that I have availed over the years and have never defaulted.
The solicitors are threatening and harrasing me by putting fraudulent claims on me.

Dear Sir,
This is Nitin Goel . I have taken a photon connection form your Tata representative (Mr. Kalid). He gave me TCS corporate scheme and take 1500Rs for Tata photon postpaid connection where he gave Tata scheme, if I pay 1500 Rs then device and 2 GB uses will free for 3 month.
I gave him 1500Rs cash in hand and he did courier my photon device where he gave 1000 Rs bill with device. I asked to Mr. Kalid, why you gave me 1000Rs bill. He told me this is device bill that Tata Company gives for every user. This bill will not impact to your scheme because it’s a corporate connection. After some time I called to customer care for device information they told me this is post paid plan and you don’t paid 3 month advance and you have taken 450 Rs 1 GB usages per month scheme and your account is not showing any advance amount.
Dear sir I have called several time to Mr. kalid but some time he says I will discuss with his manager and there should not be any problem, your scheme still same but we called again after some time on his number, he told me he has left Tata company so he can’t do anything.
I raised this complain to Tata customer services. They are not giving any positive response and as per customer services Mr. Kalid is still working in Tata Company.
Sir, he has made a fraud with us. I am Tata TCS associate and if any Tata associate will do fraud like this then this is a very shameful thing for Tata Company.
I will send a mail to Rutan Tata/top level management and will complain in consumer court also about my fraud.
I hope you will give me better response within 24 Hr.

SXXC 1080 Error
Dear Sir,
I am using your tata SXC 1080 Modem for my Data usage . When I upgrade my laptop from windows 7, the Modem is not workong properly . I had downloaded new windows 7 driver from your site, but after installation the Error is Modem Initialization Failed .
The error is continuous and there is no solution that i am able to look for .

I am using Tata Photon [protected] from past three months. Sorry to say that I am using it, its just I am paying Rs 1100 per month for nothing. Anyways, In March 2011 I was really happy to see one of an Ad of Tata Photon;

I was in need of a mobile broadband with near about the same specifications, so I bought this device in Srinagar and the speed I was getting wasn’t more than 20 to 25KBPS while downloading or uploading any file. I thought J&K has not good connectivity and I didn’t complaint as I had to move to Delhi. But unfortunately in Delhi too I faced the same problem until 6th May when I was really shocked to see that I was not able even to get connect with internet. I contacted your customer care where I got a complaint number ([protected]) and a promise to resolve the issue ASAP. I had to call more than 10times to request for sending any Junior Engineer for resolution. Even I got three fake promises to stay at home as a JE will visit at my new residence in Delhi. After talking to Executive to Sr Executives and then to Supervisors, I got a visit one of a JE who tried to change the parameters from back end and told that in my area there is a lot of connectivity problem from past few months with thousands of customers. I am not talking about Far East Delhi. I am residing in South Delhi, just Behind IIT flyover and just right beside Select City Walk Mall. It is one of the expensive places to live in Delhi, just because we people want a better service from every company where we buy anything with a lot of hopes. And my flat is not underground or at the 100th floor as you blame on poor indoor connectivity. I am being promised everyday that my problem will be resolved by next day but it seems TATA Photon is a rapidly growing SCAM with a wrong information on BOX and in Ads. Even my complaint has been closed without any resolution. One of the C-Care called me up and told me that you are getting poor indoor connectivity issue so we recommend you to change your residence or change your place to outdoor. WOW! What a resolution!
By the end of this month I will be asked to pay Rs1100 for this amazing service and if I don’t pay, my number will be barred and then I will be asked to pay 1st and then to get the resolution for the problem. One of your most dedicated Team Leader/Supervisor Mr Kunal assured me that my problem will be resolved within 48 Hours but its been more than 72 Hours and the only resolution I got is an Email from your side that “Your problem has been solved and thank you for using our most ###ing services”.
If here in Khirki Extension more than 50 Customers has got Speed Booster Routers then why I can’t get it? Am I not paying for the services and that too at such a high cost? Am I being so soft to you? Am I being fooled to buy this device from you? Or am I not of your friend circle or of under your approach so that I can’t get the booster? Or you don’t bother if you lose a customer?
I do find the services of Tata Photon very poor and I think somewhere the complaints are not routed up the chain. There is so much publicity and hype created for the Tata Teleservices but what the system requires an ear for feedback.

i cannot connect to internet for one weak now, i call costomer care nearly every day since i keep on getting this error 678, 734, 777 but i keep on getting the same respond every day that i'll get a call from the technical dept and they say that my internet will start working the next 24 hour but it never happen for a weak or more till now and they hangup the call half the conversation if they cant answer my question abt the issue i've been facing and some exicutive are very root and its not professional at all and for the ### sake i'm doing an umlimited plan they can just cut internet and now tata photon is jus sucking our money with out doing there work properly if we the costomer dont do anything they will keep on doing this fooling people and take our money so for the one who is reading this never go for photon it will screw so bad and rip off your ###ing head

Worst response and irresponsible attitude
Iam using Tata indicom prepaid connection from past 5 years. One of the reasons is because they provide unlimited calls to Tata network with certain plans on monthly recharges. I have been a very loyal customer to Tata Indicom for all these 5 years. Every month im recharging with Rs.325 and i get only 100 talktime and i have recharging with this same amount from more than 4 years now. Last month on 24th April i have recharged with Rs.199 for Tata-Tata unlimited free. But on 3rd May i was charged for calling an Tata mobile and i have made a call to Customer Care and spoke to service agent and he had informed that the offer had expired on 21st of April and it has been revised to Limited free calls with charges applicable once the free calls are over.So when asked was this informed to the customers in any way about the same, the representative said the only information he has is that the offer is no longer valid and it has been revised and cant be done anything to it.So i requested for an Supervisor he transfered the call to Vani his teamlead and she started saying "We are sorry for the inconvenience and we have escalated it to the concerned department and they are working on when to inform the customers .Also said that they have nothing to do with this.And kept repeating the same thing, the offer is no longer valid and they have escalated it to the concerned team, explaining me the charges applicable thrice even though when i said the agent informed me the same earlier itself.Was not at all concerned simply saying we cant do anything with regards to this and was a very careless attitude as if saying "be our customer the way we want otherwise can leave us".So for customer like me who has been with them for a good time if this is the kind of careless attitude they have probably i have and my family members dont have any other option them opting for another provider. Also i can advise to all please beware of TATA INDICOM.
I have not recieved any call from your so "concerned team" as of yet and no resolution has been provided to me. It has been almost a month now and this very clearly how customer centric your company is.
Now you are informing me that you are unable to contact me because you are " unable to establish the contact" and howcome when im not having any issues recieving calls or sms from any part of this world. Interestingly thhe nerwork provider himself is having issues to contact me regarding this issue. I remember to have told you this thing earlier itself that i dont have any alternate number with me.
Now i just want to check how many more months you will take atleast to respond to this. And how many more years to resolve this.

I have a Tata indicom Walky prepaid No. 0141 6524121since services start in Jaipur at the cost of Rs.3500/.
My problem is this my phone instrument does not have battery backup after replace battery two time now I want to change my phone instrument.

Your spoke person did not give the resolution, he advise me go to Tata indicom office and contact with service person and he will charge as I write on my complaint .
This means if any tower of Tata indicom found faulty then they will charge from customers even tower is the tata indicom property like my Walky, because they have security money from me.
If you are serious for my complaint then replace my walky without any charge, otherwise Tata indicom customer care is only for eye- wash not for solution.

The Agencies working for TATA Indicom are really giving fake commitments to new / fresh customers. As i applied for TATA Indicom Walky 1 month back and till date (30th Aug 07) not been installed. Every time i asked regarding the same, people said " system me check karke batate hai 10 min. me " and they will disconnect the line. Very poor service.
I am using tata indicom walky phone for internet from 1 year, last week one tataindicom representative (Ms. Archana Manlar, Mob.No. [protected]) came & forced for taking cordless walky phone for better speed & suggest for cancel old one. I take the new phone but the internet speed is same, then i checked for plan in their office but for that phone no internet plan is available & for cancellation extra money is demanded.
I was told that my security deposit would be refunded within a month of surrendering the instrument, on 16. 12. 2008. But, as on date, I am yet know, what has happened to it. I have never received any reply from them. Concerned dept take action soon.

We already given the application (on writing ) for closing the account on 5th Nov 2011. They said that it will be closed. I thought that the connection is closed now. After some days later, we got the Bill from Tata Indicom. they said connection is not closed. i asked them and then said they will investigate. After so many reminders they come to us saying that connection is closed now and we dont need to give any amount because connection is already closed. few days back again we got Bill, saying we need to pay the bill. we raise the complaints and they said connection was not close it was temporary suspended. I asked them how they said it was not closed and they put the request for investigation. 2day they again back to us saying that i need to pay the bill for 2 monts (jan 2011 and Feb 2011).
whats going on.. Do i need to go to consumer coart against mentally torcher ? We are really frustrated from tata indicom service.
Request you to kindly do the needful as soon as possible otherwise we need to go through the proper channel.

But I have been informed that as there is no usage and as bill amounts to Rs 0,

If it is true, I would like to get the following questions calrified.
1. A "BILL" is a legal document for a consumer irrespective of the billing
amount. How can you say we cannot give / generate you a bill, since you need not
pay any money after the discounts.
2. What if tomorrow (April) TATA Indicom comes back to me and say your
outstanding amount is Rs 1 Lakh for the month of FEB? As a consumer I do not
have any leagal document from you (the service provider) that I need not pay
anything for the month of FEB. These things has happened with all other service
industries, just because of a simple data base corruption or just because of
human error oir typo.
3. If you still holds to your answer I would like to get this clarified legaly.

Tata photon service is hopeless, because as per tata Photon they didn't rec.the payment which i paid on 4th April, i have emailed the bank statement.i recd reply saying by 17th April we will try to resolve the problem, 2 days before they disconnected my Photon services.on 17th April evening, i recd.8 emails saying we have resolved & regret the problems u had.for few hrs services was connected after that again services were disconnected. there Manager is not bothered to answer the call or call back. customer care is ###ting & not bothered. just they no to harras the customer. Before 4 days i had recharged my ta-ta photon plus with the monthly plain of rs 1000.. unlimited plain and i didn't get the original 3.1 Mbps speed instead i was getting a speed of 160 to 170kbps...till my 5 GB... when my 5GB is over i m getting a speed of only 10 to 16kbps rather it is said that unlimited post 5GB (at speeds up to Mbps, ) unlimited usage at speeds up to 155kbps... Then what is wrong with the company taking full money but not giving satisfaction to customer... Now it has creating a mental hazard & Physically illness of local resident as well. We have Complaint several times to concerned person, but there is no activity from there side. since our children s and elders are suffering from mental illness (as medical reports and doctors stated). Not closing the connection after submiting many closing applications
Tata Indocom is doing business just on cheating and making false charges. I submit many requests to close my account but they are not making any sense to close it. I went to DOT and got to know the way to file a lawsuits against them.
Their NODAL officers also dont do any thing, they just sit and earn salary.
Following is the guidelines from DOT under all telecom players have to work but TATA INDICOM, is just dont understand.
Telecom services are being provided in the country by government PSUs viz. MTNL/BSNL & Private Operators. These companies are having their own consumer grievances redressal mechanism which is primarily responsible for redressal of all types of complaints of their consumers. All the complainants are supposed to seek redressal of their grievances at first instance through “Three Tier Institutionalized Grievances Redressal Mechanism” of the concerned Service Provider; www.trai.gov.in./serviceproviderslist.asp formed by it under Telecom Consumer Protection and Redressal of Grievances Regulations, 2007 (3 of 2007) issued by TRAI.

Can i understand what kind of services is providing by tata. I am really sick of that with their customer care services and i have to go to Legal / Media help help to address this.
below if my inital complaint to Tata that i was not getting the Internet connectivity on my Tata USB Internet device and my complaint were not addressed by tata, lately i wrote an email on 17th august to disconnect the services and i am not going to pay for June and july because i did not get the services.
So far, its been about 40 days and no update on that. This is really pathatic service i have ever used to. and now your customer care is harrasing my parents calling and threating them.
I am a US citizen and living in USA. I need to call Indian mission in Washington and will esclate this to higher level. No matter how big is tata. outer world should know how tata is threating to the customers. If you need to call me, you may call me at +1-901.305.9100

Disconnected internet device & services
I have bought tata photon plus broadband high speed internet device from kalpathru telecom in moti nagar, near moti nagar metro station. I have upgraded my tata photon whiz device to tata photon plus device for which they took 1500 rs. I have chosen time based plan of monthly 500 rs. For 30 hr. (1800 mins.) usage limit in a month. They have taken all the necessary documents which are my passport photocopy, my original photograph & my rent agreement photocopy along with the cash amount.
They told me that they have activated my number [protected] & given 100 mins. Free internet access service which is now ready to use.
But after this free 100 mins. Free internet access, device stopped internet access. On calling very customer care, i found that my documents have not been submitted by the dealer to them, so they disconnected the device. On calling back dealer, he said our work is over after we sell you device. It is now customer care job to answer your queries. On insisting, he replied to me saying, pay us 300 rs. More, we will re-activate it. He could not justify 300 rs. Charges. Again, after contacting customer care service, i was suggested to re-submitted the document at tata store. I re-submitted the documents at sec-18 store which is opposite to police chowki of sec-18, noida. There customer care executive 'pradyuman' told me that device was deactivated & 100 rs. Will be charged to re-activate this device. I paid them 100 rs. Along with required documents but no reciept was given to me. They told me that you have again been provided 100 mins. Of free internet usage. After these 100 mins., your usage will migrate to your chosen plan. They got some user info forms filled by me & assured me that my device will be re-activated. But, after 100 mins., this device is again dead with no internet access. I am cheated twice by tata dealers. Please help me in geing justice. Either tata should activate my device with internet access or i need my money back. I also want tata to be slammed with huge amount for causing me mental agony & discomfort. Thank you.
I faced the same problem with 2 of my connections, when i tried to migrate them to prepaid from postpaid. The documents were lost somewhere in the chain n my connections were disconnected. the customer care did not help, my recharge money was lost... my devices r lying uselessly since then from a year!
Fraud, cheating services

On 16/11/2010 i got a message that cricketonvoice has successfully renewed on my mobile. For this subscription tata-indicom charged rs.40. I am sure that i didn’t subscribe/download any service. The strange thing is that i didn’t get any related message (Cricket score etc.) during this period. I have contacted to mr. Sudip mondal, a customer-care representative. But he has refused my complain. I didn’t get minimum help from them. I also have tried to contact any senior representative but couldn’t.
Finally i took decision to unsubscribe the service. On 20/11/2010 at 9.08 am, i got the message and i have successfully unsubscribe the service. After that i switch-off the mobile due to low power. And in the evening on same day when i switch-on i got a message that i have again subscribe cricketonvoice service. For that they have charged rs.9.
I am a software developer. I know how to use and download a service. So please don't give any silly explanation like your representative.
Please take quick step. Other wise i will cut-off my connection and will look for any further step.
The complaint has been investigated and resolved to the customer's satisfaction.
Tata customer service, this is to inform you that my father had received fraud calls from these numbers - +[protected], +[protected] & +[protected]. He fell in trap and was victim for 15 lacs under some insurance scheme. I need to get identity of people with these numbers so that I can give to police. I need your assistance ASAP. It's a crime to give numbers without profile verification.

Hi my mobile no is [protected] of tata tele. Today at my surprise I known that my balance of rs.30/- deducted for " after 8 pack service" without my intervention or will.This deduction was made by the operator during midnight of 25.01.2013 at 1.30AM. When I contacted the customer service care they informed that it is a monthly renewal pack and it will be renewed as their choice whithout my will and option/intervention. I never opted this type of service from the operator and I never knew this this type of cheating . In any network first they inform their services and if we have any interest then we can subscribe at our choice. But here they deducting the people's money in sim account as they like. This has happened to me for third time. Every time I am complaining to customer care and they says that next time this will not happen but the same cheating continuing. Now I am thinking of disconnecting this cheating Tata mobile service as lost resort. I am awaiting your quick reply ... to take disconnection decision.

Im Amal K Das My mobile number is [protected] i received a message yesterday mentioning that "Activated Mohabbat Izhar service si activated and 30/- is deducted" I did not subscribe any service as such. I still dont even know what "Mohabbat Izhar "service is.. I called in the number mentioned in the sms and unsubscribed the service but a total amount of 40 is been deducted without using any service.
I need quick response on this issue. I recharged this inthe morning for an urgent purpose and when i wanted to call the balance wasnt enough to make an STD call. What is the reason behind this? However i need the money to be credited back to my cell number.
I need to drop this connection if its not responded in time because ths is not the 1st time these things are happening to me

Worst customer service by indicom
I'm having TATA Indicom broadband from past one year.(account number [protected]) I opted for this just because it was TATA as I've immense respect towards TATA. This was the greatest mistake in my life. Recently say 20 days back I changed my home but in the same locality. As usual I requested indicom to shift the connection, the agreed for that and committed to do so within 72 hrs.
I was waiting for the service person in those 72 Hrs (i was a fool that I realized later!) None showed his face, again I called indicom and once again same ramayana mahabharata repeated and once again commitment, this time it was 48 hrs commitment! and no need to say that nothing was happened!
Again again I called indicom but this time they act very clearly as soon as I mentioned my account number they just disconnect my call.
TATA indicom can easily top in customer care hall of shame world list.
God bless indicom. In the mean time I feel pity on Ratan Tata, these indicom people are blackening his glory.

Bad customer care
I have been using tataphoton plus since a month and half ago.While i got this product i was told the speed will be unmatched and will be 3 mbps and while i am using the speed hardly exceeds 0.80mbper second and despite repeated complaints no solution is provided by the customer care even i felt harassed by customer care because they ask lengthy questions and even on trying to call nodal officer the nodal officer does not answer the calls.
this is really frustrating and i advice potential customers to be aware of this company.

I have been using Tata Photo Plus for last 1months. I took the connection in Himachal pradesh & recently shifted to Jammu. I wanted to shift my Tata Photon Plus connection to Jammu as I had problems getting technical as well as general support from jammu tata teleservices. I called up All India toll Free no of Tata Photon Plus [protected]) . I have been calling customer care but no response.
