Tata Teleservices Billing problem!

Dear Ms. Navaz Karanjia,
This bears the reference of our telephonic conversation regarding problems we are facing since, we opted for Tata Indicom.

We regret to inform you the services we were offered from Tata Indicom are not provided, which we have never expected. We opted initially for five connections, considering the international service reputation of TATAS & increasing the more number of connections. Your products were offered under schemes to us by Mr. Ibrar & Mr. Sanjay Chouhan is as follows: The C. U. G. on all our connection will be absolutely free; no charges have to be paid for C. U. G. All connections outgoing and incoming to each other will be absolutely free in U.P. & Uttaranchal except Ghaziabad – Noida on following No. [protected] – 51 –53 – 54 – 55 – 56, [protected]. The Life Time Free Incoming & Outgoing calls from Walky # 6452251 to Mobile # [protected], Mobile # [protected] to Walky # 6452251 and Walky # 6452252 to Mobile # [protected], Mobile # [protected] to Walky # 6452252.

On Dated 19 – 08 – 06 we have given Check# 326881 for Rs.10294.00 in favor of M/S Varta Tele Ventures and Check# 326886 for Rs.2500.00 in favor of M/S T. T. S. L. We were assured that we will be getting all our connections activated the day our check clears and amount reaches to M/S Varta Tele Services. The amount reached in your dealers account within three working days.

Unfortunate parts start from this point, now nobody was giving proper reply of our calls, because we have not received anything from your end, neither Instruments nor any information about that. After eight working days the phones were delivered, which were not in working conditions.

After ten – eleven days few connections started working, but the services committed to us were not at all provided on our connections. On the assurance of the marketing staff that all these problems will be sort out and every thing in your bill will be rectified from next month, you pay the bill of September 06. We have paid the bill of September 06. On there assurance we have taken two more connections under the same scheme and we have given Check# 323243 for Rs.3000.00 in favor of M/S Varta Tele Ventures and Check# 323244 for Rs.1000.00 in favor of M/S T. T. S. L.

Unfortunately the services and features offered to us were neither provided to us nor any concrete answer was given, we have discussed and narrated our problems every where and every body. We brought our problems regularly in the kind notice of following persons with proper evidences and documents:

Mr. Ibrar [[protected], [protected]] said my job is over; I have sold the connections, now you discuss your problems in office. Mr. Alok [[protected]] said that I am new of just two months in this organization and not knowing the things so well. Mr. Shelly [[protected]] not attended our phone. Mr. Sanjay Chouhan [[protected]] not attend phones at all, by mistake he picked once our phone and said I am busy in meeting with my boss Mr. Vikas, discuss the matter later on. While we said give us your boss mobile number, he refused to provide that and even threatened that if you will complaint at any level you will be in trouble in future technically, nobody will help you out. Mr. Manish [[protected]] Zonal Head U.P. West not attended our phone.

After discussing the matter with you on 11 – 09 – 06, in evening we received the call from Mr. Kesar that all our problems shall be rectify within a day or two. But till today dated 22-10-2006 the services offered regarding CUG Charges and other charges are not rectified. All our connections are not even activated under single CUG scheme as it was taken. We have visited many times to your Moradabad office and requested for the bill correction and service correction. Unfortunately no action is being taken till 19–10–06. We have lodged our grievances at corporate office Tel. No. 022–[protected] on 11–09–06, 18–09–06 and 19–10–06. We have lodged our grievances at Tel. No. 121 on 05–10–06 Complaint No. [protected] & 07–10–06 Complaint No. [protected].

We were force to call you again to get a receipt of letter regarding our problems in your Moradabad office; no body was ready to accept the letter of complaint. As you instructed to Mr. Kapil to receive our said letter, Mr. Kapil has received the same after half an hour of your instructions. You can very well understand the way of functioning & importance of corporate office instructions.

You are kindly requested to look into the matter on priority, our October 06 bill is hammering us and we are facing mental harassment and agony from your organization. We are unable to understand whether we should continue your connection or surrender the same. Because while in initial phase we are facing these billing problems and there is no solution at all, in future we may have to appoint a person separately to look after your billing matter every month. If you fail to adjust our excess amount charged in our September & October 06 Bill with in next six working days, kindly return our total amount paid to M/S Varta Tele Services & M/S T.T.S.L. Services. We will be forced to take up the matter with TRAI, all expense occur in processing the matter.

Dear Everyone,

Our people will not learn. I was one of them. I was warned by many not to go for a TATA INDICOM connection. I went ahead, trusting the TATA brand name. In my entire life, I never had such a horrible experience with any service provider.

FOLKS, IF YOU ARE NOT PARTICULAR THAT YOU WILL LEARN ONLY FROM YOUR PERSONAL EXPERIENCE, NEVER EVER DEAL WITH TATA INDICOM. YOU CAN NOT FIND ANYTHING WORSE!

My Phone No:[protected], Due to unbilled, abnormal billing with out any justification my phone out going calls are barred, The customer care officials are not qualified and cannot understand the complaint. After complaining to nodal officer, it is being delayed, Because of faulty telephone instrument or may of reason i am not aware of excess unpaid billing, yet to decide the issue. If some Tataindicom officials see the problem, please attend the problem or can have my interaction.

It true that the service of the mobile depment of tata very poor i have taken the mobile by submiting the all documents but till today its not actived they r telling we lost the documents.

I am very sorry to say being a such big mobile service provider this kind of mistek will cost us havly.

Tata Teleservices 1120 / vouchers unavailable in the market!

I have a TATA INDICOM WALKY Prepaid connection in Pune (Maharshtra) India. However the recharge vouchers of 1120/- denomination are not available in the market even at any of the so called tata indicom shoppes or what ever. It is a shame & just shows how much the company cares for its customers. One expects a more efficient organization when it is a tata enterprise. Its a shame! In these times tata indicom should provide an online recharge facility to do away with the inconvenience caused to the costumer.

I have purchased tata walky(Prepaid) from local dealer in mumbai in the month of September 2008

After one month service to my tel no is disconnected.

when i contacted the tata customer care executive he said in an arrogant way that the walky is purchased from dealer i should talk to dealer only.

When Once again I contacted the dealer he asked me to contact tata customer care no.

Kindly look in to the mater.

One should not expect such type of customer service from reputed company like TATA.

I agree. It is shame on the part of Tata telecommunications towards Pre Paid walky customers. I too using Tata Walky Prepaid phone for the last 3 years in Hyderabad. I am facing lots of problems to recharge. No Tata outlet have the walky pre paid vouchers and even some people in the outlets do not know that Tata prepaid walky is existing. Hence, i have to travel all the way to the Tata Indicom headoffice to purchase walky prepaid card. Some times there also i am getting no stock answer.

I have a tata walky and my validity was about to get over. SO, I got recharge card worth rupees 1120/- and trying to recharge by dialing 12526, but its not at all asking me to enter the 14 digit number. So I thought of calling the customer care by dialing 12524, that brainy told me that the recharge voucher should have 15 digit number. Hopeless people sitting over there to answer for customer queries without knowing anything. wat shall i do now?
do anybody have some suggestion regarding how to get it recharged having an voucher worth rupees 1120/- ?

I have recharged my mobile online with Internet banking for rs.200. Before that, the balance amount of my mobile was zero.

After the recharging, I got the message from service provider that your request has been completed and current balance is rs. 2.83.

The validity was till 2020 i.e 12 years from now

I dont want this extended period. I want the balance amount to be increased.

In an emergency situation this can create havoc.

I feel tata Indicom should follow fare and ethical trade practices.

Tata Teleservices Fake claims about dial up internet

Iam using tata indicom postpaid walky for one month from dhanbad (Jharkhand). Tata claims that it has a speed of 115.2kbps but its totally fake and whenever i connect to internet i got average speed of 3 to 5 kbps its highest.
I want to appeal to trai to plzz look after these claims as why companies make fake claims to increase their customers and no any governing body is look after these fake claims. It is a serious problem, the time has come that government should look after these fake claims. Strict rules have been made to ban the companies and their services as a result of fake claim. I hope tata or any governing telecom service will seriously look after this matter. Or i will make complain about tata indicom dial up services to consumer forum dhanbad

Tata Teleservices Billing problem

Finally after facing problem from last three days I went to Tata Indicom Broadband VSNL office at Kalyaninagar, Pune and request to activate Internet connection. Your executive Deepak was there who listened to my request carefully and helped me out of that. Your customer care services ([protected]) is the worst among all I myself have called more then 20 times and told all the details and problems I am facing. They only know how to apologies and give time of next half hour but has no solution atoll. From your billing department Treafa Hiwale treafa.[protected]@rbu.vsnl.co.in she called me 3 days back and asked me for my account statement to mail her where its reflects the payment details, I did it immediately on her email id above. Today after 3 days she call me and tells that she haven’t received any mail from me. I have all the sent mails in my sent mailbox.

My problem was that I paid all my 4 months of bill in advance Rs. 3,692.00/- by cheque and its cleared also even after that my Internet connection was inactivated due payment due on the first month. Who is going to pay me the loss of 3 days and my telephone charges of speaking with your non-tollfree customer service?

Now after 3 days my Internet connection is activated but in my In My usage account its still showing me outstanding Amount 983.82/- even after these guys have all my payment details.

Four years before I had same problem. It seems still they have not improved. They charged RS.700 for 20 mts of internet usage. I had registered complaint. No one bother to address the problem. It dragged for three months. In the mean time, I had torture from their customer care executives. Three to four call per week for this pending payment. The joke is, I used to pay other charges (Voice usage, rental, etc) regularly except this dispute charge.

Finally I want to come out of the service. As a punishment for being Tataindicom customer, I payed Rs.700/. I know it was kind of looting. But I paid just for my peace and come out of their services immediately. The same statement I put it in my termination request.

If you want real peace, do not go for this service.

Their service is being recommended only for the people who loved to being tortured.

Latter I learnt from my friend that he had similar problem with their billing system. He proved the same by running some scripts in his front end to capture his internet session details. He produced the same CDRs to the Tataindicom Central office and he was successful to revert his additional billings. As he is a techie person, he was able to prove the same. Think about others.

Quick Summary of my experience with TATA Indicom broadband @ Chennai.

TATA Indicom broadband (VSNL) guys lost track of money they took from me.
Kept blaming about non-payment and started to de-activate my connection without prior notice.
Remember I am a customer who had been using TATA Indicom broadband for a year now.
Activated the connection Feb 15th 2007

If this is how they treat their customer who had been using it for a year, forget those new comers. Will be treated next to piece of ###.

They have damn good technology in place and BUNCH of IDIOTS to maintain their backoffice operations.

Another way they cheat customers is by not giving the downtime credit for usage.
Its like sarkari office... Working or not you still need to pay the full rent.

I have tataindicom usb modem purchase form tataindicom outlet it works fine but the problem is that they are great cheater. I have got my first month bill around 1000rs then next bill which i got was 1200rs and finally i got 3rd month bill to rs 1500 i means they are continuously increasing amount though i have used only less than 1gb that is free usage then also they have charged for more than 1gb usage.
The most important thing is that i have the snapshots of the usage with date. and that snapshot is nothing but the internet log which comes from tataindicom software only. So they are telling our bill is correct it means their software is wrong and they dont agree at this that our software is wrong so what they want to tell i dont. What hell they want to speak they themselves are not clear about it. so i recommend you to never go for tataindicom it is useless. take reliance or bsnl but dont go for tataindicom

I have a phone with no [protected]. The phone never worked properly. I requested Tata Indicom to cancel the number on 1st June 07. I received a call from Jai who works for Tata Indicom with a suggestion to change the plan to "Only outgoing charge" plan. I agreed and told him to change the plan.

I have paid Rs 561/- on 14th June 07 vide cheque no xxxxx drawn on xxxxx bank. (This is shown on the bank statement). On 20th July I received a bill for Rs 392/- for the period from 15th June to 14th July 07. I have not made a single call from the instrument during this period. I registered a complaint with docent no [protected].

To my surprise, I got reply from Tata Indicom that I have given request for change of plan on 19th June 2007. The call center fellow refused to give me complaint number when I told him that since the cheque is cleared on 14th June 07, the change of plan is applicable from that date or from 15th June which is the normal billing cycle.

Please note that unless I request change of plan, I could not have paid money for it. But the logic does not seem to matter for Tata Indicom call center fellows.

Tata Indicom sends wrong bills to customers. This is cheating in simple language.

What a bloody... broad band... its the trouble band... Super Dull hi problem giving internet connection...! From the more then 3 days onwards... my net is not working. In the router the 100M light is blinking for some time then constantly on. And the WAN light also constantly on. And in the Local Area Connection Status... the send packets reach >200 still the received packets remains around 2-3. I tried to restart machine and router 4-5 times, but the situation is same. As some time i am working from home, because of this i cant work and i don't have tata landline connection. So i feel some problem with the server.

People beware!

Tata Indicom is to be avoided liked the plague. I am from ahmedabad and it has been a nightmare trying to get the installation done and even now nothing works like emule, etc...

To tell my experience with Tataindicom broadband, I have to write volumes. I even suspect there is a very big scandal is going on in that company with regard to money matters. Their billing system is a fraudulent one. The government authorities, police should wake up in right time.

I have been asked to pay my dues on or before September 25th 2006 .Again there was a due for the next month on 6th October 2006. That is within 11 days one more payment. During the first week the link was cut and after hectic phone calls i got the connection on October second week only. Then only I came to know that there was one more due. I refused to pay taking it to their customer cell. Exactly previous day to Deepavali my connection was cut. On the same day, they realized their mistake and told me to pay the dues on that day, but yet the connection was cut. They apologized and I continued. But since the service was very poor i surrendered the modem and asked the refund. I paid my last dues and it reflected in my bank pass book. Instead of refunding they told me that the last dues was not paid and the deposit of Rs 1000 was adjusted. I sent the xerox copy of the bank passbook and asked them where the money had gone? It is very fraudulent and there is no reply. One lady answered me very well and requested me to bear. I am waiting till this moment from December 2006 to March 31st 2007.

My only concern is without the top brass's knowledge is there a scandal going on in that company? How to take remedial action?

I am thinking of going to consumer court demanding compensation. Is there somebody who was successful in consumer court against this company. I would like to know to follow suit. Please post.

What worst services TATA INDICOM is providing to its customers ! Me Santanu Mitra have applied for a broadband connection. I paid my money on 18-11-06 but still I have not got the connection. The concerned persons are Mr. Sanjay Kate, cell no:[protected] , his immediate boss Mr. Anil , cell no: [protected] and all the others started playing with the same word tomorrow your connection will be completed definitely. But their tomorrow has never come. Neither they call me nor they receive the calls from me. Being so irritated I'm placing this worst comments to the board. Please think 10 times before applying for TATA INDICOM connection.

Tata Teleservices Example of bad service!

I had a Indicom Walky for 6 months in Delhi after which i shifted to Vasundhra enclave. I have been paying my bills regularly only until i received a huge bill for the period when i shifted my place and when i had not been getting any service to this new place. Me, as any consumer would question of having to pay for something i did not use. As I have all the consumer rights to ask for a detail bill, I asked the customer service people to do so. I was working in a company still i took days off to sit with the service people. I had asked for a detailed bill but every time the person came without it. Like any other consumer i refused to pay the bill unless i get the detail bill. I had informed the person, that I were leaving India shortly, in spite of this he did not produce the bill on time. How the hell will i be able to pay it. As per my schedule i had to leave the country and now after 8 months of sleeping, they suddenly send a legal notice to my family in gujarat, when they are completely clueless about it. Due to the bad customer service of Tata Indicom people i have to undergo this humiliation amongst my family.

I had wasted enough time in India to resolve this simple issue of showing me the bill and i pay. But repeatedly the Indicom service failed.

Would someone inform me on how should i react to an example of bad bad service... where are the consumer right laws. How can i resolve this issue sitting here in Italy.

This is not the first time TATA indicom is taking customers for a ride. I have been using this phone for long. I have faced frequent billing problems. Like metering starts when the ring-back tone is heard. Immatured calls being metered. Poor QoS. To top it all they have Call centres poorly informed and not in the same city.Recently they sent an written offer of free gift and to take the responsibilty of fooling the customer, by handing over repair of their defective handset to the customer. Either their undersigned DIRECTOR proved to be a LIAR.They have not honoured the letter, or they have not been informed.I visited their soppe and the people toldme they are not aware of the letter or the promised gift. I have no option as my number is widely circulated.If only TRAI comes up with mobility. I am planning to move out.

I have a tata indicom walky 6452459. I used its internet but some times when the computer was off the instrument showing readings of internet running. Even if, we tried to disconnect we were failed. On complaint the instrument was changed. But the bill was increased unexpectedly. At last i changed my plan to cut short my bill and did not use internet. But this time bill comes triple time. I asked for details. They said to be sent but not received by me till date.

This is to complain about the mental torture i had to go through due to some employee of this company who removed my call details of my land line no which is [protected] for some friend of his who is now mentally torturing my family with abusive languages and on the no's on which there were frequent calls being made from my this no i am also planning a legal action against this company because this has happened the second time while the complaints have been made repeatedly.

Let me begin by saying that Tata Indicom is the biggest cheat and fraudsters company I have ever come across in the Consumer market. I bought a Tata Indicom Walky last year and just after 3 months of getting the connection, these people started sending inflated bills. Upon complaining, I was promised that the amount would be adjusted in my future bills, but that never happened. To add to it, they disconnected my outgoing saying that I need to pay the inflated bills. Their customer service... as bad as it can get... in fact its worst I have ever seen. Anybody and everybody reading this post... please... I would request you not to go for Tata Indicom ever...

I took the walky connection from the agency of tata indicom in a district of kerala named Kannur. I took the walky connection bearing number as [protected] last year by february2006. I was using this connection for the major use of internet. Till this last month(February 2007) i was able to access internet and make calls without any problem. From this month onwards i am neither able to make calls or access internet. Then i contacted the customer care (121). I was told that my problem will be resolved with in 24 hours. But in vain. Then i contacted the agency from where i bought the phone. Even they were not able to give proper resolution. I was fed up. I lost much of my orders due to that. Then ultimately, I was forced to mail my cancellation letter. The major part to think is that within a span of 13 months, I have paid their bill approx 25,000/= without any due or late payment. I was there very precious customer. But now i feel very much irritated about there service part. They are looking only to increase there sales and never consider much about there service. Is this the way such a renowned company named TTSL should do? I really feel disgusted.

A copy of email to Tata Indicom:

I took up a connection from Tata Indicom by paying 2020/- as installation charges. But from the day I got the installation, i have been facing problem with your company. There was a data cable to be provided by the company for accessing internet. But in spite of calling your customer care again and again, I was told that the company doesn’t have the cable right now. Then I was told that I should buy the cable and the amount will be waved of from the bill.

I bought the cable but when I tried accessing the internet, I found out that the instrument was faulty. I again complaint for this and your executive promised me that this will be taken care within 4 days of time. The complaint was raised on Friday (11/01/2007). I waited for 4 days, but there was no call back from your people. I again called them up and I was told that the company does not have the new instrument.

So this means that the company is not giving any new connection to the customers because the company don’t have the instruments.

I went to your main sales office and met Mr. Gunjan on 16/01/07, who seems to be a senior person there and had a talk with him and he promised me that the instrument will be replaced on the same day. I waited for the whole day but no body turned up. Next day (17/01/2007), I called him up and asked him about what is he doing. Then he said that I am checking and let you know. Two hours passed but nothing happened. Then I called him up and he started saying that I am trying and will let you know. He started talking in a very rude way and asked me that “if you are in a hurry, do what ever you want to do I am not entertaining you and kept the phone. I am not doing your service. As soon the company is available with the instrument, you will have it.” These were the wording of your Sales Head. That is great.

On repeated calling your company, nothing is done and they are least bothered about it.

Sir, the kind of mental torture I am going thru all these 21 days, only I know. I am living with my mother and I don't have a father. The money that I am spending is not coming to me from trees; it’s hard earned money.

Please do or suggest that what can be done and or else I want to stop this connection and get the money back that I have paid. These is no place in Delhi, that I have not approached. Pathetic Service you have for the customers.

Tata Teleservices Customercare is the worst!

I have following complaints against TATA Broadband. Please tell me how I will take actions against the TATA Broadband because this effect on my business. One more thing can put this complaint on your website its very helpful for me & those who to think to subscribe for TATA Broadband.

Internet is not working till date. I pay advance every month but still my internet service is not working. This is very worst service from TATA. This worst service is effect on my business. Who is responsible for this?

Every month I face these problems.

Customercare was only give complaint No’s but they are not solved properly temporally you give only options but not solved the problem. Customercare No is on hold continually. If the phone is connect after waiting 6 minits the customercare executives disconnect the phones. If write a email no there is no response of email. If any one registers complaint online customer executive mark the problem solved. This is worst Service from TATA Indicom Broadband.

They tell this is postpaid connection but they charge as prepaid connections they get advance every month form me. Following Complaint that not resolved till data but your customercare executive was mark that the all complaint are resolved.

Take actions against your customercare executives they talk is very worst.

I don't understand how the support system in TATA indicom broad band services work. Either they are least bothered about customer's problems or they are over smart in playing with the customers. Even after 15 days of registering the complain on no net connectivity, I find no engineer has turned up till date. On inquiring the customer care on my complain status, I am told that the ticket is closed with the comments "as the connection is working fine". I am amazed at the unhealthy work practices by the company. I still remain to have some engineer turn up to get my connection restored. In the event I do not get any guy, I might get the connection removed.

I paid for a router installation on 15th May 2006 and am still waiting for it to be installed. To get a router connection, I had to switch to a higher usage plan, so I had to pay a plan change fee, a router charge and clear my dues till the time the check would clear, ie.. a few days ahead of my current usage. I had to courier my docs and checks to an unknown person and address. Even though they have my checks and I can see the plan change in my account details, they have not installed the router. Each time I call to complain, I am given a new complaint number and nothing else happens. Tata Indicom is a really pathetic company. All they do is to give out complaint numbers and nothing else. Someone really needs to take them to consumer court.

I had bought a tata mobile on 17 dec of 2007, 2 month after my phone connection automatically cut from the tata indicom customer service. I have submitted my all id proof and other required document to k10 at canaught palace. But still they have not started my connection. I had gone to k10 7 times, they opened my connection and for a day and automatically it disconnected in a day.

So what i do for regarding this. This is a very poor customer service.

I have tata broadband wimax connection. It has been 1 year to use internet connection from Tata. I am facing the same problem of losing the connection frequently since I have this connection. I have registered my complains many times. Each time they were calling me and asking me to change the cable and IP and all such nonsense time pass but even doing all this exercise I am not getting any help. They are not sending any technical person to fix the problem. Since a week if I am calling to their customer care to explain my problem they are not even registering my complain and putting off the phone. What a shameless people are in customer-care! Please judge your salary with your work and take your job seriously.

If you are a TATA Broadband Manager or Executive please note this thing - your customer care is worst and you must have to improve it other wise you will loos your customer for sure.

I am facing anoyher problem with TATA broadband services. Firstly In residential area there is TATA MDO, hence it is mandatory that er get TATA dish and broad band only. We cant even opt for other services. Second thing is when we tried to get this TATA broadband connection, person handling TATA connections in my region ( Pune Park street) is not even responding to phone calls. These guys are simply giving pointers for the connections. I am extremely disappointed with their services.

Dear Madam,

With reference to the above account number I would like to bring certain things to your notice. My last bill (Bill No. [protected], Bill period 13/03/09 to 12/04/09) amount was Rs.2285/- which according to me was incorrect as I did not receive any letter from TTML regarding the change in company’s policy.

This disputed bill problem has been solved; your people accepted that I did not receive the letter from the company and they gave me discount of Rs.1642/- and told me to pay Rs.642/- . Also told me that my connection will be restored within 30-45 mins. (Note: I spoke with Vaidbah and Sunny Kanojiya from Complaints dept. I am also having the full conversation recorded on my mobile phone)

However my connection was not restored so I phoned your customer care service, your person told me that your payment is not getting reflected in the system, that’s why the service is not activated. He took a fresh request for restoring the internet service within six hours; request number for the same was [protected].

On 15th April 09 I phoned your customer care service again, as my connection was not reactivated. He told me that the request is closed as payment was not made. He then said that the payment of Rs.643/- is now showing so he is taking down a fresh request for restoring the internet service within six hours, request number for the same was [protected].

On 16th April 09 I had no choice but to call again, to your customer service, as my connection was not activated. He (Parshuram Yewale, customer care executive) told me that the request has been closed as you have made only part payment. I then demanded that I want to put this matter to the higher authority and he gave me your number.

Today, (17th April 09) I am getting a bill for 13/03/09 to 12/04/09 amounting to Rs.490.98/- plus previous outstanding of Rs.1642/- (the discounted amount for which your person may not have made note in system) making the total bill amount Rs.2133/-

Another thing I want to bring to your notice is that on receiving the bill of Rs.2285/- 0n 15th March 09(Bill No. [protected], Bill period 13/03/09 to 12/04/09) I requested to terminate the internet connection with immediate effect, so my internet connection was deactivated for whole month.

HOW CAN I GET A BILL FOR RS.490/- when my connection was not active, WHY THE DISCOUNTED AMOUNT OF RS.1642/- is not reflected in your system, AND WHY MY INTERNET CONNECTION IS NOT REACTIVATED TILL DATE.

I am attaching with this e-mail, my current bill and 1 mp3 file in which the whole conversation is recorded.
TATA is a big brand name but I am sorry to say I am very disappointed with the way my case is treated. With a hope that you will give prompt and final solution I am writing this e-mail. Kindly Look in to the matter at earliest.

Tata indicom photon+ worst service i have ever seen. I booked it with 4000 Rs 5 gb free download for 2 months . I booked it before 15 days and not used even 800 mb download but as per their customer care department i have used more than that and they have disconnected by service. I called them more then 100 of times and explained all the issue but no use. There customer care manager is 24 hrs busy with her meeting. Till date my connection is not restored.

I requset other customers to join hand against this as they may be also a victim some day.

Tata Teleservices Poor customer service

I am tata indiacom customer and having tata indicom mobile since last one year i never use to call customer care because, the line of tata customer service is always getting busy cannot contact to any customer executive.

I got sms from tata welcome ring tone of 'Don Special' on date 15.09.2006, I was interested to apply for 'Don Special', and as per the instruction the said to me select I already select. After some time i got sms for activation of caller tune but it was not from Don Special which was another old song and deducted charges. Then I send them sms to change my caller tune but they send me sms the said tune is not match for my cell phone and again they deducted charges and deduct sms charges. I got very angry and tried to call Tata customer service but since 2 hrs tried i got line but customer executive were busy for half an hrs and now i am trying to speak with them, i am getting voice that the customer line are busy. I wanted to shout at them but cannot speak.

Like that way i already fed up with this bloody tata service but cannot change because i already give my cell no. to all my clients.

Same problem with my Home Tata land line. They not send me bill since 4 months and cut my land line.

The internet service is extremely unreliable, for most part the connectivity was not working on my DSL plan. There was no response from the customer service. However, the bills were delivered promptly. When I tried to lodge a disconnection request, I wasn't given any reference number citing technical problems.

But the monthly bills were sent on an ongoing basis. They even served a notice for non-payment of bills. I think it is a scam. I would recommend all to never take up a connection with these folks.

I may be just another dissatisfied customer writing this complaint in shear frustration. But I would like to draw your attention towards the mismanagement in the customer care service that Tata Indicom maintains. When you call their customer care, they certainly come forward with an “We Care” attitude but take a closer look, it’s just the same old “Protocol” they maintain, which they read out from a ‘Script” that given to them that gets logged in as yet another “Complaint Number”… just to conclude with a sweet voice that says “Sir, our field technician/engineer will get in touch with you within 24 hours”.

Here’s the number of complaints that I have filed since the time I opted for a Tata Indicom services. The connection was taken on 3rd March 2007. The tariff plan is Power On & On 6 – 256 for an amount of Rs. 6,061/-

I am writing to you to report the “nightmare” I went through with TATA INDICOM company.

I have registered, filled up the forms, made the payment early May 2006 to tata indicom community center new friends colony.

My cheque was immediately encashed while the job: wire connection + modem was supposed to be done within 5 to 12 working days maximum (customer quality service..).

Nothing never ever happened, I came back to their office more than twenty times (maybe 30!), call them 100 of times including the so called “manager” of the place.

Finally since nothing occurred, though they gave their word and always committed to have the job done within the next day.. Some of their exuces were so ridiculous that I shared them as jokes with collegues and friends.

I finally gave up since I did even not get a call from anybody of this company to let me know about the status. Therefore I have asked to get reimbursed but while the initial payment was encashed within few days only, I am still waiting for it. Thjsis should take at least 15 days maximum according to their policy… like for the other commitment they took.

On the personal side, I am a foreigner living in India since more than two years, and I can witness here that this is the worst experience I have ever been through for customer service/quality. It is a real shame to treat customers in such a way, in my professional area behaving like this would simply lead to lay off people or closing down the company..

This company is just pure mystification they claim to be among the best company of the world for internet service/bandwidth but when it comes to customer it is a complete different story and as a result of my experience I would definitely discourage anyone to go with them unless people want to go through nervous breakdown…

Hope you’ll make a bigger echo to this one and that it might prevent people from doing the same mistake I did while trusting TATA INDICOM!.

I am a subsciber of postpaid tata indicom mobile phone services. I had paid my telephone bill for the month of September on 24th September, 2007 through cheque and the last date for submission of the bill was 28th September, 2007. On the morning of 9th October, i found that i was not able to make any outgoing calls, infact my outgoing as well as incoming calls and messages were barred.When i called up customer care, they told me that all the calls were barred due to non payment of bill amount for September.since neither i could make any calls nor receive any, i had to suffer a lot in my job. Despite the fact that i had already paid the bill, i had to suffer so much.

My broadband connection at home has not been working from 14th July 2007. I have called the same day and registered a complaint. I was told that the problem will be resolved within 10 working hours, but alas, even to this day, the connection is not up.

I call everyday and remind them of my problem. Every phone consultant that I speak to is very courteous but I do not see any results. I have been told umpteem times that they would call me back shortly to update me on the status, but none has called back till date.

I had believed that Tatas were a good customer focused organization, but I need to relook at this belief now. I would think that Tatas would have some kind of an escalation system that would alert senior people once the problem is not resolved for a pre-set number of days; but experience is that such a system just does not exist or the senior folks at Tata Indicom are just a bunch of incompetent people or worse arrogant.

Unfortunately I subscribed to TATA indicaom in the city of a Andhra Pradesh. This is my everthe first time to experience such a bad srvice in my life till now. I am confident to prove that there is a cheating or can also be called as a telecom-robery.
The customer care number is never reached from a TATA prepaid we neither get a mail nor a call back despite sending emails. I really feel ashamed to subscribe to TATA. I had a great respect till now. But after many bad experiences I learnt that I made a mistake to subscribe to TATA's telecommunication.
I would be appreciated if any people concern for forums could take action and see that there no violation for their promises.

Tata Indicom offered its customer a add-on pack called Free Incoming While Roaming, and within which all the roaming incoming charges were waived off for an additional fees.

After around 1 year of pack offering they suddenly stopped offering the limited pack and made it a limited minutes free, for new customers, per TRAI's directive.

But to surprise they now started sending letters to existing Indicom mobile users, stating the offer to be of limited minutes from the unlimited incoming minutes, and that too a mere number of 750 minutes for the same pack charge of Rs. 150 (not sure if every one was offered the same).

The reason is mentioned as TRAI's directive. The question here is why did they at the very first place offered the pack without confirming the policies and protocol. Secondly, did TRAI asked them to roll-back the pack from existing users or is it the Tata tele-services using this opportunity.

If its TRAI, then they fail on there statement of 'working towards consumers interest', since roll back of a pack offered and subscribed means breached commitment of a service provider to its customer. And if it’s just the TATA tele-services, then it users should get together and raise a voice against this inappropriate step, and that too by an arm of the most reputed organization of the country.

Its time to be together and protest, else many other companies will continue to follow and exploit customers and to use them upto there need.

I have written letters to various consumers forum and I would appreciate every one to raise a voice against this.

Tata Teleservices Don't go for it

Oh no i did it again... without reading reviews on moutshut for tata broadband i fell for it. Zero installation charges , no hidden cost. I decided to give it a try for 6 month connection.

Rs 3143 for 6 month 64 kps on and on... thats the best deal i got comparing to all other isp.
I even received the connection within a week. I was so happy that good old days of vsnls pathetic service are gone as tata has taken over. The speed of the net was fine no complaints on that whatsover.

If you are really unlucky if ur net goes down or something u r in for a rude shock. The tata broadband customer service helpline number [protected] is always busy.. the estimated wait time is always beyond 10 minutes. Theres only one number for whole of mumbais population. You can even mail the complaint. and with very nice bold fonts you will get the complaint number. (i doubt if they even check the email complaints .. i havent got a reply or confirmation so far).

But on my persistence,hardwork and frustration i managed to hold on for 10 minutes for their call centre to pickup the fone to hear that we have booked your complain it will be resolved withing 24 hours. its 10 days now. All the 4 times i called ... all 4 times the response was we have got ur complaint within 24 hours it will be resolved. I am still waiting and counting days...

Worst of all the whole tata group doesnt have any accountable persons email address or contact number , to let them know that the services they provide are pathetic.

While searching for the numbers of top management for tata broadband i bumped into a million hate pages for tata broadband.

I just have one wish that Ratan tata does a google search for tata indicom and sees for himself what is happening in his country and how they are ruining such a great name of TATA.

well, Abhijeet, you can file a complaint with the local office of National Consumer Disputes Redressal Commission near your place(that’ll be South Delhi?). though I doubt any good will come!

I completely agree with the above people and the remarks they have posted for TATA INDICOM. They are a bunch of cheats working under a plush brand name of TATA. Exactly as Amit’s story, these guys had approached me ( Kalkaji, New Delhi ) after I enquired about the broadband connection, they took the advance money and then one guy came after 20 days ( after repeated phone calls ) to put the cable, the connection was still not there. After 15 more days of followup with countless people the coonection is still NOT activated. These buggers don’t pick the phone., if they do, ( by accident ) they will not reply back and worse the customer service guys don’t know whats happening to your account, forget others.

I think like Amit and the second customer I also have lost my money, I would like to take these suckers to some customer court or report to some NEWS channel to blow up this whole affair.

Yes, Tata Indicom is just a company full of cheats & fraudsters giving no service for your money.
I applied for a 64kbps unlimited connection(Infinity-64) at Rs.800/month to use it as a backup for my current internet connection. Their representative, a Mr.Vikram, showed up at my home early in the morning at 10am(early in the sense that I go to sleep at 5am) on May 9th, 2005 & had me fill their registration form(Form Number 1210692) & took a cheque of Rs.552(Rs.500+10.2% tax towards setup charges) & said that I’ll have a connection in 10-15 days! Astounding as it was(as there’s no company that takes 15 days to get you connected, it usually with 3-4 days), I accepted it.

After 12 days, I got a call from their office that it’ll take another 10-15 days for me to get a connection as ports on their servers are full. ### as it is, I still accepted! Now after 1 month, I called that lowly son of a ### Vikram to tell me whether they are gonna give me a connection or not. He said that they are experiencing problems & will have me connected in 1 week. Problems?! Big deal? Not my problem! I told him that he has 3 days, either connect me or make a refund! I called him up 4 days later & demanded a refund. He said that I should fax an application or I want, he can come & collect it from me. I said ok, come & collect from me. He promised to come in the evening. 1 week passed & I still hadn’t heard from him. I called him up in the morning today & asked whether his evening has come or not, he started ###ting me by giving the ###-n-bull story of he not being in Delhi! I asked when am I gonna get a refund & he said that he’s reaching office in 10 minutes & will have their manager call me! Its past middday & apparently he hasn’t reached office yet! Has he died on his way there, I sincerely hope so!

So the moral of this incident? Never get a connection from Tata Indicom, they suck! All they want & do is to get your money & then they forget you, no refund & no service, your money is as good as gone! Second moral is never pay an advance to get a service like this to these companies when they are not delivering within a week. Third moral is, pay by a Credit Card always. If I’d paid by a Credit Card, then I’d simply would’ve done a chargeback & be done with it, no problems at all.

In Tata indicom service is very poor as compare any lala chap company and all costumer staff spending time job just like a honeymoon

I insure Tata-Indicome in Patna City service as compare to other city service rating 5%
I have apply last one month land line connection number with proper documentation after that executive Mr Santosh is pay with fake commitment

1. Fist paper miss place
2. Kindly submitted again after that submitted but still reply in evening start
3. Again I call why you are given me diplomatic reply for activation than give again reply which paper you are submitted snap and documents is not valid

After that I call to them I have submitted to you with having original copy and you are taken a print in our office and give me a reply than what problem with you

Than told I am know Gass connection is not valid so please come again this happen for prepaid connection what we assume

We have these document when my last visit in Patna Tata Office (Maharaja Complete)

1. Passport Original copy with Photo Copy
2. Pan Card
3. Income Tax return File
4. Driving License
5. House rent agreement
6. LPG Gass connection
7. Pass port size snaps available on Connection Time
8. Bank statement for Patna & Delhi Account
9. Employee Id Card

After that if TATA –Indicom not providing service it’s mean in Patna staff should be change by other city due to change complete office culture main think office open timing is 11:00AM, they shown backlog in our country

1. My mobile no [protected], tataindicom made false promises to me by saying free mobile phone instrument to us, however at the time of surrendering, we realized that this is not free but is on emi basis. EMI of 200/- is charged every month along with the bill. Nobody told us that this bill plan is actually an emi.

2. We were never told about exit clause as well, which is applicable if you are canceling phone connection before years. We were simply cheated by tata indicom and now tata indicom wanted us to pay 2500/- for canceling.

I called to cust care by banother mobile but they did not give me right sujetion. I have to some question about the rechage and stv.

Tata Teleservices Worst service by tata indicom broadband chennai

My Full Name is K. RAJA and i am residing at Kodambakkam (Chennai). I am working for a software company. I have been frustrated by the service of the Tata Indicom Broadband services. I wanted to get a Broadband Connection from TATA INDICOM BROADBAND and i made a payment of Rupees Six Hundred and Ninety Nine (699) to an executive Mr. Veeramani. The application number is 1594807.

I made the payment on 23-May-2006. The application is said to be submitted in 24-May-2006. During that time i was told that the connection will be provided in 4 working days.

They never informed me of any delay in that. Till date i have neither received the connection nor the Money back. None of those people called me regarding the delay. Each and every time i try to contact them, they dont attend my call or they dont give me a proper reply. So far i have called them N number of times but all in vain. So i would like to approach the Consumer council regarding this and wanted to approach them legally. They have given me mental tension because of this. Pls. guide me to proceed this further.

With in a fortnight of securing the internet connection from Tata Indicom, Chennai (which itself was an ordeal), the connection stopped working at least on 6 occasions. Every time after several reminders, some body would turn up and change the router or junction box or channel or something and the connection would work just for a few hours. Again the routine of calling them would start. Totally disgusted I asked them to refund my money(several emails to Mumbai, chennai and in their feed back page). They have the audacity to say that somebody from Tata would collect the router without giving me any acknowledgment or receipt and I have to wait for 2 months to get my refund. My small advice to Tata top management would be -"enter the filed after training your people thoroughly and after ensuring all systems are in place". Dealing with Tata people in Chennai is nerve wrecking experience and the curses they get from gullible customers will not certainly put a group like Tata's in good stead.

Hi Guys,

I know all your words are emotionally good; the apt of complaining is true but this will not be listened until you shown the message in higher level. Your words are poorless shouting inside the room. If everything is true, then pls follow things;

1) http://www.icrpc.org/ [Get consumer complaint procedures]
2) Collect all e-mails like sales, customer service to all branches/countries - relevant to the Tatat Indicom Services, send all your concern details, may be atleast one of the e-mail will be pointed to a right person [higher level] in the company
3) If the 2 doesn't work, Consumer Failure Community to be made, Create Online Vote, Banner Ads to publish about your protest which can bring some community support.
4) Address TRAI [Telephone Regulation Authority Of India] - Move legally.

My Tata indicom Broadband A/c No is [protected]. - Velachery, Chennai. The connection worked oly for two days... They say that the modem is faulty... Took away the modem for repair one month ago. Yet to get it back... All phone calls in vain... In addition, M/s Sougath, Gayathri and Sankar, who claims to be the staff of Tata INDICOM ...find saddistic pleasure in using abusive language... My payment gone ... in return I get only agony.

We have made a submission requestion on 15.07.2008 and the reference number is [protected].And the instrument had been taken by tata indicom person on 25.08.2008 the receipt number is 34874.but we have not yet received any reply & refund from your end.Excepting reply from your end.

Tata Teleservices Bad service in online payment gateway

Now a day's with this advancement in technology! Any one can cheat you if you are not awaken! Tata Indicom is a well known brand. Every one is aware of it. But I haven't expected such a bad experience in their site www.tataindicombroadband.co.in. Their payment gateway is complete ###. It shows your transaction is failed but the money is swiped out of my card. Even after the month they are not responding to my complaint. I don't know is there is any government authorities are here to monitor such a frauds?! Surely I have not expect it from TATA.

Quick Summary of my experience with TATA Indicom broadband @ Chennai.

TATA Indicom broadband (VSNL) guys lost track of money they took from me.
Kept blaming about non-payment and started to de-activate my connection without prior notice.
Remember I am a customer who had been using TATA Indicom broadband for a year now.
Activated the connection Feb 15th 2007

If this is how they treat their customer who had been using it for a year, forget those new comers. Will be treated next to piece of ###.

They have damn good technology in place and BUNCH of IDIOTS to maintain their backoffice operations.

Another way they cheat customers is by not giving the downtime credit for usage.
Its like sarkari office... Working or not you still need to pay the full rent.

Tata Indicom is a well known brand. Every one is aware of it. But their payment gateway is complete ###. It shows your transaction is failed but the money is swiped out of my card. When Complained they respond saying the complaint is forwarded to the concern dept, but no refund. Is there is any government body that I can send in the complaint to look into issues.

I agree with chetan Ramakrishnan. I am using tata indicom connection from april 2007 and faced problem of internet down every month. Instead of asking them to give a uninterrupted solution, my internet goes more often the Area Manager Mr.Praveen mobile no [protected] has promised me uninterrupted connection but this was not so.

Tata indicom is one of the ### connections provided. Their customer care is the worst i have ever seen. They do not reply on to the complaints registered properly. I personally use this connection and the connectivity is there only 15-25 days in a month (maximum) in around 9 months of usage i might have approximately used about 6-7 months of internet. There is no other option for me since BSNL has too many customers in que it takes time for them to get to my form. When a complaint is registered they say "you will be contacted within 12 working hours" not a single call for a week! finally i some how get the technician's phone number and report him about the incident. Next time i call him i hear the *Tring-Tring* for about 10 times! Why doesn't he pick up my call? I call several times and he doesn't pick up the call later it is "The number you are trying to call is switched off". I SUGGEST PLEASE DO NOT OPT FOR TATA INDICOM "or better connectivity switch to tata indicom".

Bulls s**t... my phone tat is GPRS enabled connected 2 a data cable to PC gives better connectivity!

I had applied for TATA INDICOM broadband connection on 27/8/06 with payment of Rs. 2190 /- under the scheme i.e. Rs. 500/- will be towards installation charges & Rs. 1500/- towards 3 months unlimited pack @ 64 kbps.
Further checking the Account it was found that the package installed & registered by your engineer was Surf 1500 ( MRP 1230/- ) @ 256 kbps & not the Unlimited pack as per application form.I have already registered compliant with customer care vide compliant No. 393756 dated 16/08/06. You are requested to kindly take of above & do the needful as per request in the application form.
An early action will be highly appreciated. To save face the company has given me their demo card to surf. The asked pack has not been registered till date.

Dear Mr. Vijay Shivkumar
I think you should go ahead and sue them, They have been doing this to everyone and i have faced similar problems too. Even their call center staff are trained to lie and give bull ### stories. They are spoiling the name Tata which at one time we looked up at. They will go on promising you the moon until unless you take some legal action. I have contacted my lawyers too for a legal action against them.

Summary :
The Sales executive who picked up my order on 15th May 2006 had promised to start the service from 14th June 2006

He had also promised that the technical team will come and do the needful, But till date I have not seen any thing happening

I have called on 16th June and have registered a complaint about the same for which I was assured that I will get my connection within 2 days

Meanwhile the Sales person N.V Suresh has disappeared and his phone is always switched off. I haven’t heard from any one from Tataindicom Broadband customer care team either.
