teamviewer
Team viewer is a fraud company, they auto renew the license by generating the invoice without customer consent. And they claim that they mention in the policy and invoice document to inform in writing prior to 28 days if we need to terminate the contract.
If you don't pay then they will threaten you to forward to debt collection agencies
Apart from this customer support is the worst ever I have dealt with. If by mistake you call the customer support, they will not allow you to speak instead they will only speak and if you say some harsh statement they will disconnect the call.
Whoever if they read this review, My strong recommendation to not to use the Teamviewer software. Or else use it on your own risk.

refund
First a call came in from Wenatchee, Washington (509) 763-0788 saying I had a refund coming because some protection plan wasn't working and in order to send me a refund they had to connect to my computer, I started following the directions AFTER I asked questions, The guy (Indian voice) started getting really pushy and persistent, I switched to another screen an googled TeamViewer and that's where I found out about it being a scam. I yelled at him saying that he doesn't have very good customer service and told him not to [censored]ing contact me again because customer service professionals aren't pushy and hung up. Then within 5 mins later that same guy called me from Sunnyvale, California (408) 541-2179, yelling and cussing me out "You [censored]ing [censored], I'm going to block your computer, you [censored]ing [censored]!" then hung up on me.
fradulently took an entire years membership and won't pay back
Teamview fraudulently took an entire years membership without permission
I no longer use TeamViewer yet somewhere in the the fine print with Palypal they debited an entire years service without my concept. PayPal say not their issue. TeamViewer so tough luck.
How the * are the allowed to simply take an entire years membership without my permission. They say 28 days for cancellation. Sure... So take a month which I won't use but common, an entire friggen year. Gonna fight them.tooth and nail the F*!
updating software on a remote computer
Hi. I updated TeamViewer software on a remote computer and, instead of the usual situation where you get a message to ask if you wanted to wait for your connection, there was no message and now I have a remote pc, about 240 miles away, that I can't connect to. Why does your software updates do this? I suspect that I NEED to login again and it's just lucky that my son can do this on Monday. I pay a lot of money for the teamviewer software and I expect a better service. Please sort it out!
scam person
I was scammed by someone who was supposed to be a tech from your service. He said my computer had something wrong with it and needed fixing. Then he started having me go buy Googleplay gift cards, give him the code numbers off the back where you have to scratch off. I was told to shred them up afterwards and to not tell anybody. I purchased nearly $5'000.00 worth of the cards and then I started getting calls from this guy . He said that $3900.00 had been put into my bank account and that was why I was getting these cards to refund the money back. I checked my bank account and all the money was gone. Then he told me that $10, 000.00 had been put into my available credit on my discover card. Of course it wasn, t because I called Discover to find out after I saw that all the available credit had been drained. They more or less robbed me of these two things. I have closed all my accounts, and now seeing charges that were for Skype. I never subscribbed to that. I have started fraud claims with my bank and with my credit card issuers. I will probably never see any of my funds back and will have to pay the charges to my credit cards and my Paypal account. I will never use or reccommend Teamviewer to anyone. It is a shame that people are being wipped out of much needed funds by these people. I hope they are found. Also I didn, t shred the Googleplay cards, and the reciepts of the places I bought them. That way if needed I have them as evidence. The guy calling me was using a Tennessee phone number an I have the name he gave me.I guess it is fake. Any help would be appreciated on this matter. I hope you don't have someone working for you that is pulling this scam on people.
teamviewer business subscription
I purchased a license in September 2017. I tried the product and did not find it useful so I quit using it in January of 2018.
I was surprised to see that this was on automatic renewal when I received an invoice. I called to cancel and was told that I could cancel but only after I paid for the next year. When I complained, I was told that they would give me a 40% discount, but this was all that they could do.
According to them, I received a notice 45 days in advance but I didn't remember seeing it. What I did see was an email from their sales department every 3 days asking me to upgrade.
I accepted the discount but I am still very angry to be paying for a product that is useless to me and that I haven't used in over 9 months.
This company is a rip-off from beginning to end.
Hopefully, I am done with them without any more cost to me.
private use license gets timeouts
Have been using Teamviewer for many years to access my computers remotely.
Now they block me stating commercial use. How so if i have no financial interest or gain by using their software. I have to be able to work remotely. My contacts have to be in my contacts list so i can work on their devices. Now that i list all my contacts on my account now i am being using it for commercial use? NO i am not. I am one guy trying to be able to help others and also work on different devices. I am so lazy that i will not walk to where my other computers are, i would rather open multiple sessions on different devices. Teamviewer is really putting me in a very difficult position and by ignoring me.
I am now forced to use vnc or something like it. [censored]!
8 years i have been using it as a tool to work remotely. now they block me.
Rude behaviour
If you don't pay them, you are an outsider.
I rarely use them, so I don't understand why I have to pay for their service. I also consider it overpriced so I don't think I would ever pay. However, it doesn't mean they have to talk to me like I am a piece of garbage. I needed their assistance regarding one simple issue that would take 5 minutes to resolve. The representative wasn't very interested in helping me and was ignorant to me. He offered me to sign up for a paid account, but I refused. So he then just said something scripted and hung up on me.Cool, but how about my issue?
cancel purchased account
Hello everyone,
I've written our Legal Department, following the email below I will note the fact that we have a license for TM10 that we purchased permanently . After we asked to try a trial version of the new version and decided not to buy you canceled the permanent license of TM10 as a punitive measure contrary to any law or agreement.
Our company serves many customers and we are currently disabled and disable other companies, the damage is constant and financial damage is huge.
It's embarrassing that a company with a name like yours is doing such a move, we've passed dozens of clients from logmein to TM but we'll make sure everyone is notified of this failure. At the same time, we file a claim for the damages caused to us.
Best Regards,
Hello everyone,
This is a scandal ! and not a legal activity. have you canceled an account that was paid permanently just because we did not continue the trial version?
Please note that you have caused tremendous damage to our company as a result of your action. We will turn to all appropriate parties to inform them of this failure.
If the legally purchased and paid license is not returned, our company will sue all financial damages incurred by your company.
Best regards,
teamviewer
This is one pathetic internet company. They aren't even willing to resolve an issues. Their customer service is non-existent for those of us who are casual users. This company even isn't located in the US.
My problem occurred when I upgraded to their wonderful new and improved version 12. I had been using this for 2 or 3 years without a problem. Suddenly I started getting the "Trial Period Expired" message. When I installed the program I know for a fact that I checked personal use only. Finally after wasting an entire day looking for an answer I called them. I was rudely told by one of their people to go to the Community and find "Trial Period Expired" and my questions would be answered. They wanted me to fill out a form with appropriate information and send it in via the site. After submitting the form and waiting a week, I still had the problem and had heard nothing from these people. I finally posted a nasty post in the community as to whether anybody has ever had a problem fixed from these people. A private response was sent to me and I was told that it takes up to 30 days to reset the computer that was getting the message. What a load of BS. 3 days later I find that the version on my desktop PC is now screwed up as well. I have no doubt that it was done on purpose by someone at teamviewer.
This company should go out of business altogether. For those of you having problems with their lousy software try Any Desk. It's free, it comes with a manual and it works well.
refund
I get call from Peter Ben saying I am do a refund, but can not send refund check by mail. They want to connect remotely to my pc. so I let them, Oh also want my bank info to sent money to, flags start to rise, and call my bank, bank lady thinks it is a scam to get my bank info or to get my personal information. I say it, s sound fish, well than a person called Jack Wilson ( team leader ) tell me on phone . so Jack said to use PayPal to send money, $250.00 + $50.00 for my troubles., so I start to set up PayPal by remote, they say they black out screen so no one can see any of my personal information. So they send $1300.00 because that, s the smallest they can send and just send the rest back to them, NOW I said or told them that it sounded like some kind of SCAM, so I hung up the phone and pulled the plug on my PC. Oh they were suppose to remove all old stuff. but now I see Teamviewer I con on my pc, what should I do ? The phone call came from Modesto, CA. area 209 tel # [protected] there was a parner I.D. [protected]. the Co. they rep. was LIZETECH is the refund department, Peter Ben And Jack Wilson, as team Manager. Oh they also have Helptech24/7 and PC Speedy and others. I just want to know if this is a scam that going on too.
The caller sounds very sincere and reassuring and very persistent.
I am suspicious that caller knows my name Where did they get that?
I'm getting the same, precise, scenario. Nearly a year ago I got a pop-up on my computer telling me I had a major security issue and to call the number - [protected] - at which time the computer locked up entirely. For some stupid reason, I bit, and called the number.
That call cost me $209. They claim to be a Microsoft Tech Support help-line, they speak with a foreign accent (I assume Indian) and they're very pushy. They had me input a URL into the run box (which I did, stupidly) and ran me through this dog & pony show of "cleaning up" my computer. For that, I paid the required $209.
Now, for the past 3 months I've been getting calls from [protected] (another "Indian" voice, sometimes several) telling me they overcharged me and want to refund the extra directly into my account. This time I wasn't quite so stupid, I called my bank - who, not surprisingly, told me NOT to go along with it and to have a check sent to my address. That makes sense, to me anyway.
The calls continue - they want to "refund" directly to my account - can not send a check. I repeat my demand that they send a check and then just hang up on them.
I just received the same call saying I had a refund coming. They said they had fixed my computer a few months ago and the fix was not compatible to my system. They wanted me to go to the site. I told them to call be back in 1/2 hour I was busy. Then I looked up the scam information. The phone number was a Florida phone number. Here it is [protected]. I told him if you have money for me just send it to me.

good product, terrible support
- We have a business licence that I'd like to activate
- The management console is malfunctioning: currently my account is assigned with 3 teamviewer id's. I need to deactivate them in order to register teamviewer again with my new pc.
- When I click 'deactivate' nothing happens.
- As a result I cannot register my license
- Calling the phone support line: i get the message: no service: call back later.
- when I try to place a ticket online: "We could not link your email address to a commercial licence".
Please fix you website!
Teamviewer misleading customers & mis-selling its software product
We want to report the mis-selling and misleading business practices of Team Viewer software company. We have purchased TeamVeiwer software ((invoice # 394103, €449.10), License # [protected]-XXXXXX on clear understanding that software will be provided in a package as seen in TeamViewer website advertisement (refer to attachment). When we requested them to send the software package as advertised, the company refused to comply.
They claimed that it will cost them too much to provide the software package displayed on their website. During multiple email and telephone exchanges the company admitted that software package displayed on their website and used in various promotional emails is misleading. We believe it falls under online fraud besides misleading and mis-selling the product.
We have in the past discussed this matter with their sales & support teams and suggested an amicable solution. But they are asking for more payments rather than resolving the issue satisfactorily. TeamViewer unethical and mis-selling practices must be stopped as they are deceiving the customers.
Attached are screen shots of Microsoft and other vendors when they are offering software products in package or download version.
Our position is vindicated by the fact that recently TeamViewer has removed the software package advertisement from its website after receiving numerous complaints. But in our case damage was done and we need remedy for it.
A very perplexed client.
If you use their service they make it well hidden as to how to cancel as well then charge you for something you don't want and won't use and send it to collections when you can't figure out how to cancel.
TeamViewer is highly un-ethical and should be avoided at all costs.
Repair service scam
dec. 3 2015 I had just put in Windows 10 2 days before . I got An ERROR code and verbal warning . Call this number now . so I did thinking its windows. I let the guy guide me to let him have control . Then the sales pitch 128.00 to fix the problem . I dumped him and phoned micro soft ... REPAIRS are FREE and they have had many complaints about this group.
better services
The file transfer feature is great. But desktop control stutters a lot. Team Viewer is faster and smoother, but doesn't work outside my home network without disabling my firewall. Team Viewer works away from home, even with my firewall up. So it's a trade-off and neither is glitch free. I do like Team Viewer but only use it away from home since it's more reliable. Just wish it snappier with the desktop control. If not for that, hands-down I'd keep it instead of Splashtop. Nice features, like session recording and online interface and account. Free for personal use. Splashtop has an annual fee for the same features.
I'd been using TeamViewer on my 7-pc network and then discovered it was avail. for Kindle Fire. It's the best internet-intranet remote control app that's out there and I've tried several including PcAnyWhere, VNC/Enterprise, etc. I strongly recommend it.
Scam
They contacted my wife and said my computer is full of viruses. Then they told she needs to pay £144 to clean computer, she was scared and paid them. Stay away from these scammers!
They cheat as much as they can
You will buy license, then they will update ''version" and ofcourse new version are not compatible with old one(s) and you have to buy new licences. Be carefull with this company, they cheat as much they can. Its coming 2-3 new version per year or something, good for TeamViewer bad for customer. I am company user so I am not paying myself but it is really...
