TeamViewer Team Viewer Remote Access

Because I used Team Viewer to access my work computer from home, the company insisted I was using their product for commercial purposes, and told me I had to buy a license. Later, when I left my job and moved overseas, I needed remote access temporarily to access my old workstation, in order to assist my office. I was required to purchase a personal subscription, which I did in late 2018 or 2019. I used the subscription once or twice.

Unbeknownst to me, the subscription automatically renewed, without notice to me. My account was debited almost $600 in 2020 (without my knowledge), and I only discovered the automatic renewals when it was debited again for $588 in 2021.

Even though I contacted the company only ONE DAY after the 2021 renewal, the company refused to refund any portion of my money. Their staff was rude and refused to offer any help or allow me to speak to a supervisor. As an attorney, I believe this action was fraudulent. I would never do business with this company again.

TeamViewer Unfair influence on review sites, bad business ethics.

I wish to complain about teamviewer and its business ethics. they seem content to allow the destruction of a valued item of social history via their ongoing support of the glazer family in Manchester United. this football club is a social institution founded by working class railway workers in Manchester and supported by 900 million people around the world.

Teamviewer also in my experience have a very strange relationship with the review site 'Trustpilot' as an, up until this week, customer of Teamviewer I am perfectly entitled to make reviews as a legitimate customer / user - yet teamviewer have by some method managed to get trustpilot to remove all negative reviews.

Desired outcome: an investigation into teamviwers social practice and an investigation into their unfair ability to have reviews removed - that must be detrimental to other companies

TeamViewer delivery and customer service

The lady whom I talked to was very rude and not easy to talk with your company seems to not care alot about this and the delivery was two hours late the delivery guy did not apologise at all and the product i ordered was not what I thought I would be getting I was promised the best product in the country if this is not read then I would have to take my money elsewhere oooh and #glazersout

TeamViewer Software

The Software protection is terrible and your dead company is funding the biggest thief's of all time (The Glazers) I'm not even surprised as the biggest scam company is funding the biggest thief's. Match Made In Heaven.

TeamViewer Chrashing

I'm having issues that can be dealt with. The issue is that TeamViewer seems to chrash on the Stockmarket. I believe it can be fixed by legally pulling out of the sponsor deal with
Manchester United. Or else I see no other way than boycotting TeamViewer. I do not want to support any association that works together with the Glazers. We want #GlazersOut

I am not alone in this.

TeamViewer Sponsorship of Manchester United

Please can you get back to me with a response as to why your senior management team thought it was a good idea to pay the Glazers family who are destroying the good name of Manchester United and will continue to do so while they are "owning" the club. The reputation of Team Viewer being attached to the Glazer family is doing your brand W lot of harm. Thank you :)

TeamViewer Teamviewer time out

I am a personal user and have been using the free license for many years. Im 67, retired, don't work nor have a business. Now my teamviewer closes down after a few seconds, assuming that im a business user. Kindly unblock my account as I am definitely not a business and use it only for personal use. I don't use teamviewer everyday and and use it only when I need to. My only sin is tat sometimes I forget to log out completely and it will appear as if I have been using it for lengthy sessions.

TeamViewer A company of thieves!

Once I paid the first year of license, they auto-renew it without letting me know and automatically picked 417, 60€ via Paypal/bank account. There is no obvious way to cancel the renewal, the client has to send them a message to this end to an address hidden somewhere in the Teamviewer website.

The apparently wrote the renewal was automatic every year in small hidden characters in the contract conditions when purchasing the first time.
This is abuse/scam.

TeamViewer Automatic annual renewal without prior notice

TeamViewer's automatic subscription renewal policy is unlawful and against Section 14 of the Consumer Protection Act in South-Africa, titled "Expiry and renewal of fixed-term agreements".

According to the Act, they need to give consumers written notice 40 - 80 business days before the expiration of the contract and give the consumer options in terms of renewal. They are also entitled to automatically renew a contract on a month to month basis upon expiration.

The fact that they don't accept cancellations and held customers liable for a full year subscription fee after the expiration of the fixed-term contract is unlawful. They don't give notice before expiration dates and bully their customers into paying for a full year of subscription fee even if the customer contacted them on the last day of the fixed term to cancel the subscription. They don't request permission to deduct money from your credit card and they refuse to refund their customers.

Please be aware and careful.

TeamViewer Automatic annual renewal without prior notice

I'm very unhappy with TeamViewer. I purchased TeamViewer a year ago and didn't read the fine print on the invoice. They also didn't make me aware of the fine print.

My subscription was up for renewal, but since I didn't read the fine print a year ago, I didn't know that my subscription will be automatically renewed and the payment collected without prior consent or warning.

I'm not using TeamViewer anymore and I contacted them the moment I received a notification from the bank that a payment was made to TeamViewer. Their response time on my query was slow and, they refused to refund me.

Although it is mentioned on my sale invoice that you need to inform them in writing 28 days prior to terminate the contract, I think they are very unreasonable to not:
1. Send a reminder to cancel your subscription if you don't want to continue with the subscription;
2. To let you pay for a year's subscription although you explained to them that you don't use it anymore and actually forgot about the subscription;
3. Deduct money from your bank account without prior warning.

They are inflexible and do not act in good faith. Looking at the industry standard as per Google Playstore, subscriptions can be reversed if you don't use the app anymore.

TeamViewer License renewal

I purchased this last November for a year.
This year I didn't want to renew and 2 weeks before the 18th of November (renewal date) I emailed to cancel my subscription.
They sent me an email on the 21st of September to say, the renewal will take place - but in this email nowhere was said that if I want to cancel, I have to cancel one month in advance! This is misleading.

In other words, TV wants to trick me and should be forced to have a service, even if I don't want

I had no information / option / warning before renewal/ that I have to cancel.

TeamViewer Lifetime subscription

I have tried to contact Teamviewer by phone and put in 2 tickets.
I purchased a lifetime subscription for $800.00 and have tried to follow their instructions on how to activate my business account but can't figure it out.
This happens every time they have an update and they force you to update.

I feel totally ripped off because I can't wait any longer as I have work to do. They are obviously not going to honor the agreement since they don't respond to my tickets. I am forced to buy elsewhere.

Why does my account not just work after an upgrade? Why do I have to activate anything?

What a ripoff! people need to know...

TeamViewer Auto renewal

My business was closed during Covid and I never received the auto renewals notices and received it after the time period to cancel. I do not want their service as it is rarely used and way too expensive especially during these difficult times. I tried calling them for days and they will not do anything.
I told them to cancel my account as I did not authorize them to renew my account. Please advise Invoice

TeamViewer Auto renewal for service not required during covid

A renewal notice was sent whilst the business was shut, and all employees were on furlough due to COVID restrictions from the UK government.

This renewal notice was missed and the services which were no longer required auto-renewed and we were invoiced for them.

We have requested to cancel now but have been told we are now not within terms. We have stressed that we were put in an impossible situation as the notice was sent whilst the business was closed and all employees were on furlough so could not be actioned. They are refusing to budge referring us to their EULA which we think is unfair during these exceptional circumstances.

We have now been threatened with collection companies if we do not pay.
