TFS took care of two problems we had had for years
TFS took care of two problems we had had for years. Both of the problems were getting worse. The center wall in our patio home needed jacks under it to correct sagging beams which caused constant wall and ceiling repairs. Also, our porch had a crack and one side had dropped. The sidewalk also was cracked. All of these problems were resolved professionally, quickly and with great care. Joan

TW I would like to thank TFS for fixing my floors from collapsing in areas and fixing my hardwood floor planks that were separating. The crew was prompt, courteous, and most of all cleaned up the work site after completion. I highly recommend TFS for any floor supports. And am sure they would do an excellent job for foundation problems. I know they will be my contact if I have that problem arise in the future.

TFS was amazing the guys were very respectful! TFS team did a great job on our driveway and sidewalks! Thank you very much CM Louisville Kentucky
Our project included 4 jobs: foundation stabilization, crawl space encapsulation, burial of downspouts and leveling of porch steps and sidewalk. Due to weather issues for one job and a service call for a piece of equipment, we ended up with six different teams at our home. Each and every team lead called the day before the scheduled job to verify the schedule, they called the day of the job with the expected time of arrival, they explained what was going to be done and how it was going to be done, they answered any questions we had, we did an inspection of the completed job before they left the premises. Each and every team/team member seemed to know exactly what to do, when to do it and how to do it. They cleaned up very well behind themselves, leaving the work area as close as possible to how it was found. They made sure we were satisfied with the job. They were all quick, friendly and professional. Due to problems on our end with getting the outlet run for the equipment installed for the encapsulation, we couldn't get one of the pieces of equipment to turn on so a call was made to TFS for assistance. Customer service immediately scheduled an appointment for the equipment to be checked. On inspection, it was determined that a replacement piece of equipment was needed - which was done then and there. We believe three separate teams went above and beyond what was required for their job in doing things to make sure their job was done to our satisfaction. We have already had the opportunity to recommend TFS to some friends and acquaintances and will continue to highly recommend TFS. It is a wonderful company with which to do business. On a scale of 1 - 10 with 10 being the best, we give all of them a 10.
We bought a 110-year-old farmhouse on ***, in Pikeville. We are restoring it & one of the biggest issues had to do with the foundation. There was a cracked beam, & the house was unstable, due to sitting on piles of rock; literally. We contacted ***, prior to purchasing the home, to get an assessment & *** came out. He was very knowledgeable & professional. He took pictures & showed them to us, on his laptop, while explaining exactly what would be done. He gave us the quote & we decided to go with ***. They had a month wait, which was fine, because we were moving in about that time. They have billboards all over our area, saying they do foundation work, waterproofing basements & crawl space work. On 12/27, the crew came out, just as planned. They were here a couple of hours. One crew member was inside the house, tapping on the floor, telling someone under the house, where to place "markers". They all came upstairs, & I thought they were leaving for lunch. Not so. They told me that they couldn't do the job. They talked about wood memory & integrity of the job. I asked why *** said they could do the job, but they just said that he didn't know all that they did. They said what the best option would be, is to tear out all of our flooring, so they could work from up top. I was NOT happy! We are planning to restore our hard wood flooring, not tear it out! Decided to skip them & called ***. Their estimator came out & said that the job could be done, but our crawl space was too small. He said that he wouldn't put his crew in anything less than 18" high. THEN, we finally found "real" men & a knowledgeable company. Nathan with TFS came out. He did pretty much exactly the same thing that the other two estimators had done. He said the magic word: "YES". Austin, Tucker and Logan were exceptional & went above & beyond our expectations. They were kind & courteous & did a fantastic job! The floors meet the walls & the house is much warmer!
They were very efficient, work ethic was great, finished product was as I hoped for, and they cleaned up EVERYTHING after they finished the job. Highly recommend ?
Tennessee Foundation Services did a very good job stabilizing our foundation
Tennessee Foundation Services did a very good job stabilizing our foundation. They arrived on time and were very polite and got to work immediately. They were very efficient and accomplished a lot in one day. They cleaned up after themselves and left very little damage to the grass. They seeded and covered the grass areas affected by their work. I would recommend this company for any foundation work you may need.

Not only did they perform above and beyond, the crew was awesome! Extremely friendly and made sure you understood every little detail that was going to happen before they did it. Great group of workers and Company, CROSSPOINT Construction would highly recommend them for any encapsulation needs.
I am happy with the repairs to my patio and front steps. I did not think that the patio could be saved due to the extreme cracks and shifting of the concrete. Thanks, Brett P.
We were very impressed with the guys from TFS. They were extremely hard working and did an excellent job. We highly recommend them.
They left my yard in a really big mess. Said they would come & fix it but did not. I am going to have to hire someone to clean up their mess. Did ok with foundation.
Many mistakes were made in my project
Many mistakes were made in my project. It took 10 months to have a simple project completed. They did correct their mistakes, but the mistakes NEVER should have been made in the 1st place. Do not expect them to put landscape back as it was as they do not understand what to do. Crews were left unsupervised and did a horrible job when foreman was not present. They did correct many errors but I would not reccomend this company.

TFS provided knowledgeable assessment of foundation stabilization needs. Prescribed solution was facilitated by a pleasant efficient crew. No complaints. Pleased with initial work.
Crew was on time and professional, did a good job and cleaned up afterwards. Thanks
I have used them twice in the last 10 years. Always do a professional job and are meticulous about cleaning up after the job is finished.
Very professional work done on time and in a way that I recommend to others
Crew was professional and worked hard and my job was done, no complaints on job
Crew was professional and worked hard and my job was done, no complaints on job. Had some communication issues, trying to get job lined up and damage done to ground was not anticipated based on sales call. For a company who digs, yet supposedly leaves the ground/lawn like they found it, they should invest in better lawn equipment. Cost me a lot of work even though they tried to make it right. Part of the problem was three people I tried to contact were on vacation for 4th of July.

TFS did concrete work and lifting on our area around the pool
TFS did concrete work and lifting on our area around the pool. Their pricing was competitive and the workers they sent us were outstanding. Braxton, Herman and Dalton were kind, professional and great in communication. We had no idea what to expect, they assured us and did a wonderful job. Braxton especially was our point of contact, he called, texted and showed up ready to work. Thank you TFS for having such a great crew.
Sincerely,
Jamie W

TFS is at least as good as they claim to be
TFS is at least as good as they claim to be. My outside basement entrance steps had settled and fallen away from the retaining walls. I was not confident that the steps could be brought back up to original position. In fairness, the sales rep would not guarantee a successful lift but said that at minimum the steps could be stabilized and further sinking could be alleviated. To my surprise and amazement (I stood and watched it!) Anthony did his prep work and made the lift right back to initial grade. What a super job and a great young man to boot. C.R.--Elizabethtown, KY

Our project required lifting, repairs and reinforcement of the foundation and decking of our 36 year old in-ground swimming pool. TFS management and crew were professional, thorough and polite throughout the assessment, plan development and proposal phases. They assured we had a full understanding of what was needed and what they would do. Once begun, they were consistently on-time and on-schedule, completing the project exactly as promised. The cost was very fair, particularly when compared to a project done two years ago by another local foundation company that did inferior work that quickly failed. We highly recommend TFS! Ann H.

These young men worked hard, were conscious of my needs as the homeowner, and neat in their work
These young men worked hard, were conscious of my needs as the homeowner, and neat in their work. Despite the rain, that hit mid project, and the mud that resulted they pushed on through. They included me in discussions about what they were doing, educated me about the process, and helped me understand why they had to do certain things to my landscape and deck. On that note, they did not seem to take shortcuts and just "tear things out". Instead, they worked in smaller spaces, as long as their equipment would fit, in order to not have to cut the joists on the deck or to remove a concrete pad that my HVAC unit sits on. At the end of he project, they cleaned up the areas in which they worked and made sure I was satisfied with what they had done.
Crew arrived on time and were polite
Crew arrived on time and were polite. Unfortunately, their office let them down. I called several times to confirm what work was to be done as the initial inspector seemed to have a preconceived notion of what was needed rather than what concerns I had, but even though I was told they would get back to me my questions were not answered. After the crew started work, they discovered my basement floor really was as thick as I told the inspector it was and that I did not need footers put in under the new jacks. I'm not sure I needed the old jack removed, but it was damaged in removal, so it was replaced. After the jacks were installed, I asked the crew to check the level on the main beam, which they did rather grudgingly. Then, the crew had difficulty getting through to anyone at the main office who could adjust my bill because it included work that had not been done. Not exactly the most organized group I've ever dealt with.

TFS is a very professional company starting from Aaron the engineer who set up a laser in my basement to show me the amount of settling of the foundation and explained what was happening and what could be done to fix the problem. The next group that showed up was the working crew that was led by Charlie is very good leader with great leadership skills. Blake and Tucker worked well together and interchangeably on the various tasks. All three of the guys answered all my questions as I was snoopervising the project. Also showing up were the project manager, Paul, and the supervisor of training Michael. I also had some stoops that needed to be leveled. This brought in a different crew, led by Daniel with Nick assisting. Again the official snoopervisor asked a number of questions that were answered to my satisfaction. One of the striking characteristics of everyone from the central office to the workers in the field is all show politeness. I am very happy with TFS and recommend their services. Tom S

We acquired an antique farmhouse in Pikeville, dating back over a century. We're restoring it and faced a major issue with the foundation, including a cracked beam, making the house unstable as it rested on rock piles. We consulted a local expert before buying the house for an assessment. The expert was knowledgeable and professional, showing us pictures on his laptop and explaining the repair process. After receiving a quote, we hired his company despite a month-long wait, which suited our moving timeline. This company is well-known in our area for foundation repairs, basement waterproofing, and crawl space work. On December 27th, their crew arrived as scheduled. They spent hours assessing the situation, with one member inside coordinating with another underneath the house. Surprisingly, they concluded they couldn't do the job, citing issues with wood memory and job integrity, contradicting the initial assessment. They suggested removing our flooring for better access, which was unacceptable to us as we intended to preserve the original hardwood. We sought a second opinion, but the next estimator also declined, citing the limited height of our crawl space. Persistence paid off when we found TFS, a company with a can-do attitude. Nathan from TFS echoed the thorough assessments but confidently said 'YES' to the job. The team, including Austin, Tucker, and Logan, exceeded our expectations with their exceptional, courteous service, securing the floors to the walls and significantly warming the house.

TFS worked on my house foundation and the first time it rained the dirt washed away. Edward W, (***, ***@tfscompany.com). TFS did some work on my house foundation, but when it rained for the first time, the dirt got washed away. I reached out to Edward W, who works at TFS and gave him my contact details. I even called TFS Louisville at 615-***. The TFS Salesman assured me that they would bring in more dirt and pack it down. He even set a date for June 11, but no one showed up. I've tried calling multiple times, but he hasn't returned my calls.

I gave T F S a lot of money to fix my house foundation, but while renovating my home, the contractor discovered that the foundation was collapsing. I want a refund of $3,800 because T F S didn't do the foundation properly from the start. A guy named Mike talked to my husband and said he didn't want to give the money back. It wasn't done right, so I want my money back.

to the company. The crew never showed up as scheduled and the work remains unfinished.
Furthermore, the work that was done was not done properly. The crew seemed to rush through the job, leaving behind shoddy workmanship. They damaged other parts of our property that were unrelated to the work they were hired to do. It's frustrating to see our property destroyed for no reason.
We hired The Foundation Specialists to fix our foundation issues, but it seems like they have only created more problems. The lack of professionalism and attention to detail is evident in their work. It's disappointing to pay for a service and not receive the quality we expected.
Overall, our experience with TFS has been extremely disappointing. The delays, unfinished work, and poor craftsmanship have left us frustrated and dissatisfied. We would not recommend their services to anyone in need of foundation repairs.

I had a really bad experience with The Foundation Specialists
I had a really bad experience with The Foundation Specialists. I paid them $1771.20 to raise my concrete pad back to its original position, but they only raised it halfway and ended up cracking it in four different places. They never mentioned that they would crack the concrete, so I felt like my money was wasted. They gave me an estimate, I paid the deposit, and then they came out and did a poor job. The cracks were over 10 feet long in two places. If they had told me beforehand that they would crack and break the concrete, I would have never hired them. They offered to fix the cracks, but when they tried to fix one, it looked terrible. Now I'm stuck with cracked concrete that needs to be replaced. On top of that, they keep bothering me for the remaining balance, even though they did a terrible job. I'll pay them, but they should be the ones replacing my concrete. I just want to warn others not to waste their money with this company.
Me and my wife signed up with TFS in April
Me and my wife signed up with TFS in April . We wanted to fix cracks in our concrete and level our front stairs. The sales guy suggested installing a lentil for support, so we agreed. We decided to do the lentil installation first because we were planning to rebuild our deck. The trim work on the garage wasn't caulked properly and was halfway cut. I called TFS and asked for a supervisor to come and check the work and see the pictures. After some arguing, the supervisor reluctantly agreed to send someone from TFS to reinstall the trim. Last Saturday, a technician came and put up the trim kit with tape. But by Monday, all the trim pieces had fallen down. I sent pictures to TFS, but they refused to fix it. They said they wouldn't even try to fix the trim and didn't offer any partial refund. Their only solution was to remove the lentil and refund the $5000 and more. But that's not an option because it would damage our new deck. The supervisor wouldn't even call me back to discuss it.
I recently had an issue with my dehumidifier, and The Foundation Specialists replaced it with an AprilAire 1850
I recently had an issue with my dehumidifier, and The Foundation Specialists replaced it with an AprilAire 1850. I had some problems with its performance, so a service technician came to check it out. I waited for a month to see if it would get better, but unfortunately, it hasn't been as effective in removing the musty smell from my home. It seems that the charcoal filter is not as big or efficient as the one in the previous model. I always run my air conditioner and change the filter inside, and I never had this issue with the previous dehumidifier. I would really appreciate it if you could replace the unit with the previous model again. Thank you, Amy - TFS. Yes, I did receive your email. We no longer use the previous brand of dehumidifiers. The AprilAire units are the only ones we install. When TFS completed the work, I was satisfied. Am I understanding correctly that after spending $7000 to redo our crawlspace, there is no other solution available?
I hired TFS to fix my driveway, which had cracks due to water and age
I hired TFS to fix my driveway, which had cracks due to water and age. TFS came and checked my property to understand the issues. The salesperson explained their plan to fix the problem. The first team, consisting of one person, worked on the job for 9 hours, except for the 20 minutes when the project manager came by. We felt bad for the worker, so we treated him to dinner and coffee, and he didn't complain at all. Unfortunately, the issue wasn't resolved. Water still flooded from one side of the driveway to the other. The second team came and installed sock drains to prevent flooding. It worked, but now there are puddles in the middle of the driveway where it's uneven. With freezing temperatures at night, the water turns to ice, and my family has to be careful not to slip and fall. TFS is suggesting sealant as a solution, but I don't understand how that will help with the unevenness causing puddles. The job cost $3000, and my driveway is still not fixed.
They told me it was easy to fix
They told me it was easy to fix. They ended the job saying "You fell in the 10% that doesn't work out, you should just spray foam it". Well, there sales people lie and say anything to get the sale. Showing videos, talking patents, telling success stories, and going as far as asking who makes the decisions in my family, me or my wife. He also said they are experts and my job is easy as pie. The next employee I met was the team leader on the job who said he was the expert from the corporate headquarters and that my house was the worst he had seen and he would do the best he could. I wish I heard something similar to that before the sales person signed the contract for me and took my non-refundable deposit. Well, to say the least, they won't put the picture of my house on their commercial. The house looks awful. I believe it's worse than when they started. No person is going to buy the house in the shape it is in. I talked to the company and they assured me they would come to a reasonable fix. They sent out a manager to meet me. After his visual inspection, the Manager said "90% of the time these jobs go good. Unfortunately, yours falls under the 10% that doesn't". I told him that I couldn't fix this and that's what I called them for. I asked what do I do? He said "I'd get some spray foam and put it in there to keep the bugs and weather out. Probably call a brick mason or something cause they don't fix bulging walls." So now they are starting to tell me they don't do anything but set pears. Hummmmm.. way different than the commercials and way different than the sales person said. I believe they purposely deceived me, took my money, and dumped on me.
Foundation support, incomplete installation
Foundation support, incomplete installation. I bought it on November 18. The problem came up on December 2. The sales rep was Mxxxx. I paid $10,776.60 with my credit card. They were supposed to support an existing concrete slab-on-grade and a non-habitable enclosed patio. They said they would install 9 support piers and continuous tube steel to hold up the patio and slab. But during the installation, the crew told me they couldn't put in one piece of tube steel on the northwest part of the slab because there was too much concrete. They said it wouldn't affect the whole support system and the warranty would still be good. In late December and January , I called the local office and asked for a refund since I paid for something I didn't get. They left me a voicemail saying it wasn't unusual during an installation. I called again and asked for a refund. The same person left me another voicemail saying he had the flu and would talk about it later. But I never got another call. I got frustrated and didn't call again. In June , when we were renovating the patio, I found out that two more pieces of support tube steel were missing under the slab. I called the local office again and they said a technician would come to my house and check if I was right. The technician came a few days later and confirmed that I was right. A few days after that, customer service said they would send a crew to fix the problem. I told them that part of our patio had new concrete and we couldn't access all of the slab. I suggested they change the original invoice and give us a refund for the missing tube steel. But I haven't gotten an answer yet.
The sales guy is really good
The sales guy is really good. He's got a smooth presentation on all their work. We had a driveway that was sinking unevenly. The salesman said it could be leveled easily. He also showed us their SealantPro thing to protect the concrete from getting messed up and keep it looking good. The pictures looked awesome. He said one application would "permanently protect it from water, dirt, and other gross stuff in just one coat." The website even had a picture of water beading. But guess what? Within a month, we had a stain. Some gas stuff spilled. We tried cleaning it but no luck. No water beads on any part of the concrete. We got the leveling and stabilization done on all our concrete. The salesman promised it would make our concrete look great for years. But about a month after they did the raising, we noticed cracks where there weren't any before. We called about both problems and sent pictures. The work crew came back and told us that the sealant doesn't protect against petroleum stuff. They looked at the cracks and said they were already there, but they would fill them. So now I have a bunch of spots filled with joint compound. It doesn't look any better. I asked for the warranty for SealantPro. Called the office twice. They couldn't find the info and said they would get back to me. They never did. Someone from TFS came out to check things out and see the work. They listened to our complaints and said they would talk to the manufacturer. They told us we needed to power wash the concrete to keep it nice. But we got a stain within a month. Why would I put a sealant on a driveway that doesn't repel petroleum stuff? If I had known, I wouldn't have bought it. The sales pitch made us think our concrete would look good for years. But within two months, it looks way worse than before. The sealant is useless. I want a full refund for the sealant - $2387.00.

8/10 - I met with Andrew G, who is a specialist in lifting concrete, to discuss stabilizing and lifting my driveway and connected walkway. He provided me with a quote of $3,760.42, and I paid a deposit of 30% which amounted to $1,128.13.
9/11 - The workers started the project, but they left the driveway and walkway unfinished, and now I can't use my fence. They told me that the office would call me either that evening or on Monday (9/13).
9/13 - I spoke to the workers about the equipment they left behind, and they said the office would call me later that day. However, I didn't hear from the office.
9/14 - I contacted the office to discuss the unfinished project, the damage to the concrete, and the fact that I couldn't use my fence gate. They scheduled an appointment for 9/24.
9/23 - I called The Foundation Specialists (TFS) to confirm the morning appointment. The department informed me that they were unsure if the morning time would work, but a worker would contact me to confirm. At 18:19, I received a voicemail from a worker named Braxton, stating that he couldn't be there in the morning but would arrive by the afternoon of 9/24. He asked me to contact him if that wouldn't work.
9/24 - The workers didn't show up, causing me to lose revenue as I didn't go to work to meet with them regarding the issues.
9/25 - I called TFS to apologize and they assured me that the workers would be out first thing on Monday (9/27).
9/27 - I called TFS in the morning to confirm the appointment, but they hadn't heard from the workers as they were in meetings. They said the crew would call me when they were finished. However, I didn't hear from TFS for the rest of the day, resulting in a second missed day of work and loss of revenue.
9/28 - I called TFS to discuss the previous issues. They assured me that a second crew would come out. The team arrived that afternoon and attempted to complete the project but stated that they were unable to. They said their manager would come out, but it would take approximately three weeks. This marked the third day of missed work and loss of revenue for me.
10/20 - The team arrived at noon with the manager, but they were unable to fix the issue. They said there was nothing more they could do. Overall, the condition of the concrete is worse than when they started. They even cracked the concrete on the walkway, which wasn't even a problem initially. I now have to replace my fence because it won't open. I am currently getting quotes for a new fence and redoing the concrete.
Of note, I have multiple before and after photos.

Tom S
Received clearly explained quote for services. Authorized quote. Completed job as scheduled. Lifetime warranty was a blessing. Heavy rain immediately after installation and a leak was discovered. TFS returned to repair the leak and to relocate the sump pump exit drain so it would run to street instead of exiting at rear side of building. Great cooperation from all management and installation staff. Will use them for other issues if they ever arise and would recommend others to use TFS.
Aaron did a professional and thorough assessment of the site, likewise did an excellent job with the drawings and proposal. The work team was eager to please and to get things right. They accomplished their objective. It is a pleasure to recommend TFS. CW of Nashville
I am glad we chose TFS because of the work they did on our foundation. The employees were very polite and friendly. The job was finished before scheduled time.
