misleading ad lead me to believe I was paying a processing fee for a national credit card not a restricted one to a specific internet outlet. I don't need this type of card. Can anyone who has had this same situration happen to them tell me how to get a refund?
The complaint has been investigated and resolved to the customer’s satisfaction.
I ALSO THROUGHT I WAS GETTING A CREDIT CARD BAD THING ABOUT IT I CAN NOT FIND A WEB SITE THAT WILL TAKE MY CARD IT SHOULD BE A LAW FOR COMPANYS TO MISLEAD A PERSON IN ODER TO GAIN PROFITS
I also felt like I was getting a credit card...not an online deal. Very disappointing to know that someone would deceive others such as this. You are right ...there ought to be law for companies doing this.
Well I had a feeling this was gonna be too good to be true! I couldn't view anything on the website to even see if I was interested in purchasing anything on the Horizon Outlet website. I didn"t finish the application and give them my debit card information because I can"t view what I'm about to purchase. It could all just be farm equipment or anything. I'm not a farmer just interested in getting a credit card.
There should be a law against to where it explains all the REAL detilas BEFORE you agree topat $30 per month to shop on on Horizon Outlet website.

I was manipulated into thinking i was getting an unsecured credit card but unfortunately it was a credit line. there should be a law somewhere against misleading advertisement on the internet, i'm sure i will find a way to get my refund. If anyone else has gotten their refund kindly post it so i will know also thankyou.
i also was miss lead what can we do about this i am highly upset
MAJOR RIPOFF! My divorce decimated my credit and I thought it might a good way to reestablish a positive credit rating. When I received my card and read the information inside, I thought, ok, let's see what they have to offer. JUNK at first look at site, not I can't find the damn site!
Fortunately there is an toll-free number. If I can't get through, then I will tell my bank that any charges from this company are fraudlent and deny then access to my account.
yeh, i had to google it before i paid the money. thank god your complaints came up. thanks everyone.
I also thought I was getting a credit card! This is rediculous! If anyone knows how to fix this, PLEASE let me know...
You have to read the terms and conditions... I don't think it was misleading at all.. They tell you up front what you are getting... I have not recieved my card yet.. Does anyone have one who can give me info on their products? Pictures, , , ANYTHING? I just want to know what kinds of products they have...
I totally agree with Nikkileigh. All you have to do is read and they tell you the terms and conditions. I too want to know what kind of products they have and the pricing before I even apply for the card.
My son got this card too! Now he's trying to get his money back. They should not be allowed to be advertising in with other credit cards. They are a BIG RIPOFF! I'm afraid he's probably out 29 .95. He only wanted to improve his credit rating, not lose money. Some people don't think their a ripoff. To anyone thinking about getting this card, DON"T DO IT! You can only use the card for their merchandise and none of it is worth buying. This really makes it a hard way for you to build credit! I'm reporting them to the Better Business Bureau. They told him they would only refund 24.95, but so far they haven't and it doesn't look promising .It has been three weeks so far.
I called them up and demanded my money back...I did get it and so did my husband. It was actually reimbursed within 24 hours from a re-loadable debit card.
But their ad is misleading in having you believe you are getting a credit card that can be used anywhere. I have not tried to order anything...afraid of what might happen. But of what I seen in their online catalog no one would want anyway. If you had monies taken directly from your bank account...please advise your bank and place a stop payment on them from taking any other monies out...but allow you to be reimbursed monies owed back to you. Go to your bank...they will tell what to do in order to protect your account.
They are freaking crooks. After receiving my card today I looked on Google for the site. In my search I came across reviews for the card so I checked it out. After reading the reviews I immediately called them. A representative answered right away. He was pausing and stumbling after I told him I don't want to hear anything else he had to say. He said he had to get supervisor, comes back and says supervisor not around then says I see you have increase for a 1, 000. I said I still didn't want it. Continued to give me bull crap until I told him I was going to report them. I was fuming by the end of the conversation. The only reason I didn't curse him out because my 2 year old son was right next to me. I really wanted to slap him for trying to con me. He said 3-5 days for refund. First he try to say 27.95 because they charged me for card. I said what does that have to do with me? I told him I didn't want to hear it just give me all of my money. He goes back to supervisor(who was supposed to be unavailable before) then says ok he refunded everything. These people are freaking crooks. Lesson learned. I better get my money back otherwise I will be calling back and this time I'm not holding my tongue!
Not that I agree with some of the business practices involved here, but in their defense, they tell you up front that this is not a major credit card. It is only valid on their site. If you got to "www.freedomgoldonline.com/a/fees.php", it is all clearly stated. It is unfortunate that many people feel they are being scammed, when it could easily be avoided by simply reading the Horizon Gold member agreement before applying for the card.
No, I do not have any affiliation with Horizon Gold whatsoever. I was considering applying for a card myself and searched for reviews about them. That is how I found this page. I am surprised that so many people do not fully understand what they are applying for when dealing with Horizon Gold. (Or for that matter, many other similar websites.)
In any event, I will not be applying for their card. Not because it's a scam, but simply because it is not what I want at this time.
I'd just like to bring something up... I applied for this because I currently have no credit whatsoever. for people like me, this isn't such a horrible idea. you have to start somewhere. my suggestion would be if you already paid for the initial fee and the first months fee, give it a chance. call them and ask for basic benefits (no roadside assistance) within the first month, and it will drop to about $7.00 a month. that's less than a Netflix membership to build your credit each month from nothing to something, even if you decide not to purchase things from the website. even if you don't use this card, they still report to beaurus that your account is still open and you don't owe anything which is good for building credit. once you build some initial credit, cancel it and apply for another actual credit card.
