Excellent overview
Before I buy anything in the local store or online I am going to the Tiger direct too see their prices and overview of iteam. So far they didn't let me down in any case. They have affordable prices and you do not need to go google about the item because they explained under " overview " everything. My last buy from tiger was external hard drive and it is as they said it is. Thank you Tiger, I am recommending everyone to try them out, you won't regret it ;)
Always excellent services
I have purchased PC components from Tiger Direct for at least 15 years. These were mostly motherboards and drives, both SATA and SSD, as well as display cards. During this time I have never had any problem with their service or the items that I purchased. They are my first choice when browsing for something I need (Newegg is the second) because they seem to have the largest selection. The large selection sometimes make the choice difficult, I suggest that you consider them when you are shopping.

I just bought a new computer monitor on this site for a very low price compared to other major electronics retailers (Best Buy, Amazon, etc.). I used Google Checkout to buy it, so I didn't have to give the website my info, and everything came as ordered in slightly less time than they promised. The site's a bit of a mess, but overall it was great experience. What I can't vouch for is Tiger Direct's customer service because I didn't have to deal with it. But if you're looking for a deal on electronics, this seems to be the place to go.
When I first encountered this website, I was pretty
When I first encountered this website, I was pretty sure it was a scam. At that point, I hadn't heard of Site Jabber, which is too bad because I spent a lot of time doing extensive research on the web about TigerDirect. I was afraid it was a scam because the prices seemed outrageously cheap -- like they were trying to lure me into purchasing something and then never send it.
Well, as it turns out, TigerDirect is in fact a legitimate website, and I received my electronic cables for a pretty insanely cheap price. The website is really user friendly and well crafted. I've gotta give this one 5/5.
Hope this helps.
Great site for computer parts!
Great site for computer parts!
My son, 11, wanted to build his own computer. So for X-mas I ordered from www.tigerdirect.com the parts needed for my son to build his first pc. The prices are the lowest I could find and they have everything you could need in stock. I accidentally placed an order when my kindle locked up. I called customer service and they took care of it right away. I received everything within a week and in perfect condition.
My son is so proud to have built his own pc. It's water cooled and quite and super fast. My computer is a 10 yr old single core slug running Xp. My son's pc is a 8 core beast running 64 bit Win7 from a solid state drive. Neither of us could be happier. But I need to order a new pc from tiger direct for my self now.
Ordered my son a gaming computer for Christmas, received
Ordered my son a gaming computer for Christmas, received it in excellent condition. He loves it and I am very happy with Tiger Direct. I have ordered various computer components in the past for my older son and have never had an issue either. A couple things to remember--because I did get a bit nervous with making a big purchase online and it did take 2-2 1/2 weeks to get: I paid through PayPal--First I saw my credit card charged, then the charge disappeared and I got a bit frantic. I called Tiger Direct directly and spoke to a gentleman who was wonderful and explained that with big purchases, they do a "test" run with PayPal to make sure the funds are available and when the item is shipped, then the account will be charged... it made sense and that is exactly what happened. (Tiger Direct isn't the only company that does this... my bf just had the same experience with ordering items for his job from another company and went through a little anxiety himself until I told him to call the company directly) I would recommend Tiger Direct to anyone re: my experience with buying computers, and components. :) ADD: I researched many computers -- and got more "bang for my buck" with Tiger Direct.
Beware of TigerDirect: Shady Practices and Poor Customer Service
Watch out, folks! TigerDirect used to be a decent online company back in the day, but not anymore. I learned this the hard way when I purchased a Dell laptop from them and was charged twice on my credit card. I immediately called to get it fixed, but was told it would take up to 48 hours to resolve. In the meantime, I had to use cash for my groceries and bills. TigerDirect's double charge pushed my credit card over the limit, so now I can't use it for another 48 hours... maybe even longer, based on other reviews I've read. I'm returning the laptop as soon as it arrives. I don't want anything to do with such a shady company. The hundreds of terrible reviews online confirm their poor customer service and questionable practices.
To make matters worse, they charged me 8.25% sales tax when the tax rate in my area is only 7.75%. And they tacked on a $5.00 e-waste recycling fee, which is strange because I'm buying electronics from them, not giving them away. But those are minor issues compared to the bigger problems I encountered.
After my unfortunate experience, I decided to do some research and was shocked by what I found. Over the past 18 years, TigerDirect has been sued by the state of Florida, Dell, and even had to be reprimanded by the Federal Trade Commission. The Canadian Broadcast Co. even did an investigative episode on them, and their founders were convicted of fraud in 2014. How are they still in business?! They're probably just coasting on their former good reputation. But after MY recent experience with them, and after reading about the legal situations they've gotten themselves into, I'm staying far away from them. And you should too!
Even if TigerDirect has a cheaper price on a product compared to another retailer, I'd still recommend buying it from the other retailer. It's just not worth the risk of dealing with such a sketchy company.
TigerDirect's Service Falls Short: A Disappointing Experience
I've been a loyal customer of TigerDirect for many years now. I've ordered everything from barebones computers to printers and monitors, and I've always been satisfied with their service. However, my most recent experience with them was a complete disaster.
I ordered a barebones kit for a friend, but due to some issues with their new computer system, anything that went into backorder was automatically displayed as customer cancelled. This meant that even when the item was restocked, it wasn't shipped out. By the time we realized what had happened, most of the parts in the kit were either out of stock or no longer available. I had to make several phone calls and sit on hold for a long time before the whole order was finally cancelled.
I decided to give them another chance and ordered another barebones kit. This time, everything arrived except for the case and the hard drive. I couldn't build a computer without either of those, so I had to make more phone calls and send more emails to find out what was going on. They told me that everything was on its way, but that turned out to be a load of poppy-$#*! The case was shipped, but then it was cross-docked with a non-UPS carrier and I lost track of it. I had to contact TigerDirect again to get the updated tracking number, which took over a week to arrive. And even then, the hard drive was still missing.
I threatened to post a negative review on every website I could find if they didn't sort things out, but it didn't seem to make much difference. My hard drive is still out there somewhere, and I have no idea when or if it will ever arrive.
I'm extremely disappointed with TigerDirect's service this time around. I've never had anything like this happen before in all the years I've been ordering from them. I hope they can sort out their computer system and get back to providing the excellent service they used to offer.
TigerDirect's Shipping Promises Fall Short: A Frustrating Experience
I recently had an experience with TigerDirect that left me feeling frustrated and disappointed. I placed an order on a Tuesday night and paid extra for next day air shipping, hoping to receive my product by Saturday. However, when I received the tracking information on Thursday morning, I was surprised to see that my order had been shipped via UPS ground and wouldn't arrive until the following Wednesday.
I immediately contacted customer support, explaining my situation and expressing my disappointment. I needed the product by Saturday and had paid a premium for next day air shipping, so I felt that I had been misled. However, I didn't receive a response until Saturday night at 8 PM, which only added to my frustration.
When I finally did receive a response, I was disappointed to see that TigerDirect was shifting the blame to a "third party distributor or manufacturer" and not taking responsibility for their mistake. I felt that they should have admitted their error and offered a partial refund or at least refunded me the difference between the overnight shipping rate and the standard shipping rate.
Unfortunately, my experience with TigerDirect was not a positive one. I wasted $20 on shipping and an additional three days waiting for my product to arrive. In contrast, I recently ordered some items from Amazon with free shipping and will be receiving them by Tuesday, just a few days after placing my order.
I want to warn others who rely on fast shipping to be cautious when ordering from TigerDirect. While they may advertise fast shipping options, they may not always be able to deliver on their promises. I hope that TigerDirect will take responsibility for their mistakes in the future and work to improve their customer service.
Here is the response I received from TigerDirect's customer service department:
Hi [my email address],
Thanks for getting in touch with us.
We apologize for the inconvenience that this has caused you. Our records show that the item is being shipped either from the manufacturer or from a third party distributor. In these cases, items may take a little longer to arrive. We advertise their availability online, based on the information we obtain from the shipper. Your shipping method is expedited and your tracking number [my tracking number] that this item will be delivered on Wednesday, 06/25/2014, By End of Day. If you do not want the item please refuse the package once it was delivered to you. We will issue a full refund back to your original mode of payment once the item is received back to our warehouse.
If you have any questions, do not hesitate to contact us.

Mixed Experience with Tiger Direct: Great Products, Poor Customer Service
I had a real doozy of a situation when my computer decided to die on me right before a big project was due. I scoured the internet for the best deal and finally landed on Tiger Direct. Now, I live in a small town where Wal Mart is our only computer connection now that Radio Shack is Sprint, so I was really hoping that Tiger Direct would come through for me. And boy, did they ever!
I've been doing business with Tiger Direct for over 16 years now and I've never had a single problem. They've always been there for me and always helpful. So, I ordered the PC and paid for 2nd day delivery. I knew that the day of the order didn't count and I expected the computer to arrive on the Friday, two days after the order had been placed.
But, when I looked in my account, nothing showed as shipped. I wrote an email, as they requested, but by the end of the day, still nothing had shipped. I called and the lady on the other end said that it had been shipped and that I should have it. But, I didn't. Monday came along and my project was now due, but still no computer. I wrote again and then again with NO response. I called again and was very upset with the lady on the other end. I know it wasn't her fault, but it was hard to maintain my cool. I was going to lose some money and my reputation was on the line.
Finally, on Tuesday, I got a phone call from Tiger Direct with a verification that I had placed an order for this machine. Holy crap. You have got to be kidding me. I told her how important it was that I had the computer last week. Upset, she contacted a person above her. Oh boy, that was fun. He told me that if I read the fine print, they were still within the time frame of the 2nd day shipping. One week later? Bullst. How does he figure it is second day seven days later?
I finally got the computer on the 8th day. I demanded the extra money I paid for 2nd day delivery be returned. They first told me they would not, as they were still within their 2nd day guarantee according to their 'fine print'. I did not want all of my shipping back, just the amount I paid for 2nd day. They did finally refund all of my shipping.
I was able to save the job, or at least most of it, as the person who contracted me was there when I contacted Tiger Direct. I have to say, the computer I got is fantastic. I really enjoy it and it far exceeds my expectations, but it wasn't worth the hassle.
So, my advice to anyone ordering from Tiger Direct is to read the real fine, very tine fine print. It may save you some headaches in the long run. But, overall, I still highly recommend Tiger Direct for their great deals and fantastic products.
Outdated and Disappointing: My Experience with TigerDirect.com
I've been shopping on TigerDirect.com for quite some time now, but I have to say, I'm not impressed. Their website looks like it hasn't been updated since the late 90s, and it's not just the appearance that's lacking. Their competitors are light years ahead in terms of site functionality, customer service, and order tracking updates. It's frustrating to see TD consistently lagging behind.
I've only placed three orders with them since 2006, and every time, the time-to-ship has been slow, and updates on my order have been even slower. It's like they just don't care about their customers. It's disappointing to see a company that's been around for so long still stuck in a. Com boom mindset of web and systems design.
My last order was for a snowblower, and I have to say, I was pretty annoyed with the whole experience. The item I wanted was listed as "Ships in 1-3 business days", which would lead anyone to believe that it's in stock. But when I clicked on the "details" link next to the shipping estimate, I found out that it was actually being shipped by a third party. NewEgg and Amazon are completely up front with who the real "seller" is, and which entity will ship the order. But with TD, you have to dig to find out that it's a third party.
It's not just the fact that it's being shipped by a third party that's the problem. It's the fact that there's no inventory management integration with suppliers. It's been 12 days since my order was supposed to ship, and my order status has been stuck in "To Drop Shipper" for the entire time. I haven't heard a peep from TD or the third party warehouse. It's frustrating to see a company attach their reputation to the whims of third party shippers. If they made that distinction obvious during the ordering process, it wouldn't damage their brand quite so much.
I've given TD a chance every few years for nearly 20 years at this point, but I think I'm officially done with them. Their lackluster performance has been consistent, and it's time to move on to a company that values their customers and keeps up with the times.
Terrible Customer Service Experience with TigerDirect - Do Not Recommend
I bought a gaming monitor from TigerDirect's website on April 17, 2020 and paid extra for 2-day shipping. When I received the monitor, I was disappointed to find that it was damaged and wouldn't work. I immediately contacted Mariel from the customer service team via phone and email. She asked me to send a photo of the damage, which I did. She then told me that they would process the return and that it would take 5-7 days for a return label. However, I didn't hear back from them at all.
I tried contacting them via email on April 29, but still didn't receive a response. I tried again on May 4, but still no luck. I then tried calling the number on the email signature to call my account executive, but was given the runaround and told to leave messages which were never returned. A few days later, I tried contacting TigerDirect customer service again and finally got my Account Exec on the phone. She told me that their phone system and email service had been down and they hadn't received my messages. She also informed me that PCM now owns TigerDirect and their systems are being merged, so nobody can help me.
Mariel then told me that I needed to contact Asus and get a return number. I did that, but their phone system was down due to the pandemic. I had to explain that the monitor was damaged and not that it was plugged in wrong via a virtual chat. I provided this information to Mariel almost 10 days ago, but I still haven't received a return label or any indication that they are going to refund my money. They have been holding onto my money for over a month since I originally contacted them. Their management has not returned my calls or emails, which is frustrating.
I feel like I have been robbed by this company for over $700.00 and I fear that I will never get my money back. I have purchased from TigerDirect in the past from their retail stores and I have never had any issues like this. It is ridiculous that I can only speak to one person about my order and they are treating me like I am a business and not a consumer. I can go return something to Best Buy the same day I buy it without this headache. In fact, I already went to Microcenter and bought the same monitor from them in the store with no issues the same day I received the item from TigerDirect.
I will never do business with TigerDirect again and I recommend that nobody else does either. Their customer service is terrible and they don't seem to care about their customers. It's a shame because I used to be a loyal customer, but now I will take my business elsewhere.
Avoid Tiger Direct: Terrible Products and Customer Service
This company is absolutely terrible. I have been without a computer for three whole months because of their broken products and terrible customer service. I ordered a Xenia laptop from them, which was great at first, but after just a week of using it, the screen became distorted and no matter what I did, I couldn't fix it. I called them about seven times and every time they gave me a different answer on how to return it, whether I needed approval from the manufacturer, and more. To top it off, they never followed up with their calls like they said they would, whether it was through a call or email.
It took me a whole month before they finally let me send it back, and before they did, they wanted pictures of the packaging which I had fortunately saved. I never took the Xenia laptop beyond my room or even treated it roughly like typical laptops would weather, but it broke regardless. It took another month before I received a new computer, and at first, it was fine as well. However, when I tried to play a standard FPS game like Overwatch, the screen would suddenly power off. I thought maybe it was the power saving or maybe it needed a hard-reset, but nothing I did fixed it. So I had to call them every day for four weeks before I finally got an answer.
At this point, I wanted a refund, and they said that would be good. I waited three business days before calling back (they told me 24 hrs) that my refund had been denied because it was beyond the return date which mind you, expired while the first computer that broke was in transit to be replaced. The lady then had the audacity to say I should have read the fine print and I told her that I didn't expect their computer to break on me twice and for me to need a third replacement. These two returns occurred between the months of Oct. 20th, 2021 to Feb. 7th, 2022, and I was in my final semester of college without a computer and $1300, so they royally messed me up.
Not only were they inconsistent with their communication, but they were also rude, never gave me the right directions, made me pay for return shipping the second time (no clue why it was free for the first if this was policy), gave me three incorrect phone numbers to the manufacturing company where they said I needed a warranty number, and so I had to call the next day to tell them their extension numbers were wrong (while explaining the second replacement because they always confused the first). So, I never got my money back, got a third computer I ended up selling at a huge loss, and they were rude to me the entire time, even when I was on the brink of tears with frustration.
So, do yourself a favor, for the love of God, do not purchase from Tiger Direct. They are God awful. Spend your money on a company that values their customers and won't send them on a wild goose chase for four months.
Unreliable and Frustrating: My Experience with TigerDirect
I recently made a purchase from TigerDirect on August 15th for an Acer laptop computer and MS Office. I made sure to notify my bank in advance of the larger than usual purchase to avoid any delays in processing the order. However, before I could submit the order, I had to answer several personal questions such as my DOB, previous addresses, and the address where my car was registered. Although I had a red flag going off in my head, I ignored it and completed the order as quickly as possible.
To my surprise, I received an email later that day stating that my order was on hold because they needed additional information. I had to wait until Monday to call customer service, but the representative I spoke with had a thick accent that made it difficult to understand her. She had to call me back to confirm my ship to address, and I was put on hold multiple times. It was a surreal experience, and I let her know that I would never order from TigerDirect again.
On August 19th, I received an email stating that my order had shipped, but it was only the software that had shipped, not the computer. At this point, I was done with TigerDirect and immediately completed the RA request for the software and handed it back to UPS when they delivered it on August 20th. I called TigerDirect to cancel the order for the computer, and I even received a cancellation number. However, on August 21st, I received an email that the computer had shipped. I was frustrated and decided to order the same computer from Rakuten.com, which I received and set up on August 23rd without any hassles.
It has been a week, and the computer from TigerDirect has still not arrived. I called and spoke to someone named Gabriel, who gave me an RA number and said that UPS would pick it up on Monday. I am skeptical but will wait and see. I plan to post this review on as many sites as possible to warn others about the experiences I and others have had with TigerDirect. In conclusion, I do not recommend shopping with TigerDirect.
Terrible Experience with TigerDirect: Delayed Shipping, Poor Customer Service, and Damaged Product
I recently ordered a 55 inch flat screen from TigerDirect and I have to say, I was not impressed with the experience. First off, they claim on their website that most orders are shipped within 24 hours, but my order wasn't even recognized until the day after I placed it. To make matters worse, the item wasn't even picked up for shipping until four days after I ordered it, even though it was only going from southern California to Phoenix, Arizona - a distance of only 500 miles. This was supposed to be their free shipping option, but it ended up taking a total of 96 hours to ship.
I was getting nervous as the delivery date approached, especially since I had a party planned for May 5th and the worst case scenario was that the TV would arrive on that day. I watched the shipping info closely and noticed that the item didn't seem to be moving. The tracking function on the site only showed "in transit" from April 29th to May 2nd, which was the day before the party. When I checked the shipping status, it showed that the TV had arrived in Phoenix the night before at 9:27 pm, but it wasn't out for delivery. I called the shipping company, AIT, and asked if it would be out for delivery that day, but was informed that I would have to schedule a delivery for the following Monday.
I explained the situation to the shipping company and asked if I could pick it up at their warehouse instead. At first, I was told that there was too much fraud and it was against company policies, but after explaining the situation again, I was transferred to a manager who said it wouldn't be a problem to pick up the item at their shipping dock. However, he quickly changed his mind and informed me that I would have to call the LA warehouse to get permission to pick it up. When I called the LA warehouse, I was told that this was incorrect and I would have to call the Phoenix warehouse. I explained the situation again and what I was already told by the Phoenix office. I was put on hold for 15 minutes and when the gentleman came back on the line, I was informed that the real problem was that the contract with TigerDirect didn't allow for me to pick it up, and that the only way I could get it that day was to have TigerDirect give them permission to release it to me or for TigerDirect to authorize a "same day delivery, 8 days after the order."
I was on the phone for a total of 48 minutes and had to speak to multiple people at TigerDirect, each time being put on hold and transferred to a different department. I was asking to talk to a manager, but each time I was put on hold for up to 25 minutes and when a voice would return, it would be the same rep making a new excuse to why I couldn't pick up the TV. Finally, I was told that they would give the shipper an okay to allow me to pick it up, but I would have to fill out a liability waiver they would email me. The waiver stated that if there was any damage at all under any circumstance, I would have no recourse at all and I was willing to waive all warranty. I told the rep absolutely not because I hadn't even seen the TV.
After being on the phone for over two hours and 15 minutes, I finally received a call from AIT saying that they were dispatching the delivery and it would arrive between 4 pm and 7:30 pm. However, my business was only open until 5:30 pm. The TV finally arrived at 4:45 pm, but the box was open and the driver had dropped the TV three times in 35 feet. When we took the packaging away from the TV, it was obvious that the screen was damaged. I refused delivery and called TigerDirect again, but was left on hold for over an hour and was not allowed to talk to a manager. They eventually refunded my money, but it was too late since the funds would be tied up for several days and I didn't have another $750 to spend on the item.
In the end, I was unable to give the intended recipient the gift and TigerDirect and AIT ruined a birthday. I would not recommend using this company for any purchases.
Unethical Business Practices: My Frustrating Experience with TigerDirect
I recently had an experience with TigerDirect that left me feeling frustrated and disappointed. I had placed an order for an MSI Gaming X Trio GPU, which was advertised on their website at a great price. However, after placing the order, I received no confirmation or shipping information. When I tried to cancel the order, I was met with silence from their customer service team. I sent multiple emails and even tried calling, but no one would speak to me. It was like they were holding my money hostage.
After doing some research, I discovered that TigerDirect has a history of using bait-and-switch tactics to lure customers in with false advertisements. They advertise products that they don't actually have in stock, and then refuse to cancel orders or provide refunds. It's a shady business practice that I find unacceptable.
I eventually received an email from TigerDirect confirming the cancellation of my order, but it was clear that they didn't care about my experience as a customer. They simply wanted to avoid any negative publicity or legal action. I was left feeling like they had taken advantage of me and wasted my time.
Overall, I would not recommend TigerDirect to anyone looking for reliable and trustworthy technology products. Their business practices are unethical and their customer service is non-existent. If you want to avoid being scammed or ripped off, I suggest looking elsewhere for your technology needs.

Subject: MASTERCARD HELD HOSTAGE AND WHAT AMOUNTS TO A SORT OF FINANCIAL TERRORISM
The following is my letter to the Office of the Attorney General, State of Texas. Criminal "businesses" such as the below named company have found a loop hole in your processes which they essentially use to hold consumer funds hostage. A sort of terrorism if you will:
STATE OF TEXAS OFFICE OF ATTORNEY GENERAL: REQUEST TO INVESTIGATE TIGER DIRECT WEBSITE FRAUD
Numerous attempts have be made to cancel item R/*** MSI Gaming X Trio GPU. You know you don't have in stock to no avail. Those request have been ignored. Your customer service personnel will even give the customer what can only be described as "the silent treatment" when a customer calls on the phone as illustrated below. In fact, one of your folks is giving me the silent treatment right this very second. This abhorrent behavior will not be tolerated. To that end, I have asked the Attorney General's office of the state of Texas to get involved:
Tiger Direct is a company that "sells" consumer electronics much like Bestbuy. Tiger Direct in no way resembles Bestbuy as a merchant however. This company's activities can only be described as criminal. They lure you in with advertisements on the website for common electronic products they know full well they do not have in stock. In my case, there was pictured a new Nvidia RTX 3070 card at a price of $706.85. There was a big green icon to the right of the advertisement which read, "add to cart." Once you add to the cart you proceed with the purchase. At no time was it displayed that Tiger Direct did not actually have the item available. They deliberately made it look like they had the item available. An excerpt from their email to me supporting this:
"We're pretty speedy when it comes to processing orders so if you need to change anything, give us a quick call at ***437. Keep an eye out for your shipment confirmation?you'll have your order in no time!"
They knew they did not have the item and sent that message to me anyway. Many consumer electronic products are hard to find these days due to the COVID-19 pandemic. In addition, it has gotten harder to find these common products due to scalpers buying up massive remaining quantities and using electronic bots to get the jump on everyday consumers when a shipment sent to an Amazon, Bestbuy or TigerDirect takes place. The scalpers know about the shipment of the items in short supply then buy them all to sell for a massive profit on Ebay and Amazon. The everyday consumer is left out because of the situation. Ebay and Amazon are happy to sponsor these scalping activities on their websites. The sought after items might not be available on Tiger Direct for 6 months or even a year because of the COVID-19 and scalping situation. Who knows? I have contacted Tiger Direct to cancel the item twice by email so that I might have opportunity to buy the item elsewhere should it become available by some miracle. They have not responded and have not acknowledged the two cancellations request I sent in writing. In effect, holding my money hostage. While the money is still in my checking account, they have obtained authorization to withdraw it should the item become available which I do not see the item becoming available for a very long time given the situation. I no longer want to deal with them since and they don't have it anyway because of their clearly unscrupulous practices. Who knows when they'll ever get the item in light of the scalping bots and COVID-19?
In addition, I've called customer service twice to cancel the order. When you call someone picks up the phone at Tiger Direct customer service but they do not speak a word. You can clearly hear them. The give you the "silent treatment." Occasionally they might sniffle or you can hear paper moving on the desk they are sitting at. So you know they are present on the call. They will not speak a word to the customer however. They know who you are and they know why you are calling in advance because you can be identified by caller id. They know you are calling because they don't have the product and can't provide it. Their aim is to tie up your money for a sale anyway. The first time this happened a person at Tiger Direct picked up the phone and did not even say hello. I was on the call for 45 minutes and the customer service person would not say one word they just sat for 45 minutes playing this little game with the occasional sniffle so that you know someone is on the line. It happened a second time with a second call. I could clearly hear someone on the other end again. I decided to start a computer video game as to not be bored. I also informed the customer service person who was giving me the "silent treatment" I was about to play a game and I was not about to hang up. In other words, I can wait you out unbothered if you want to play this evil little game of yours. I started the computer game and the customer service person then hung up after hearing me being able to make good on my promise to wait them out buy playing a computer game. This will happen every time you call their customer service. Try and cancel an item they don't have by email and they won't acknowledge it. Try to cancel an item by phone and they give you the "silent treatment" like a disgruntled spouse. They do all of this this after luring you in with false advertisement making you think they have an item they know is not in stock. It's a bait-n-switch tactic in the worse possible way. This activity by Tiger Direct in my estimation is criminal. They are in effect holding hostage the money of consumers indefinitely all so that they can ensure a sale for themselves no matter how long that takes. What is really regrettable is that it does not even occur to them if they just play nice they would have customers for life like an Amazon. Your investigation and assistance into this criminal activity is appreciated. Supporting documents attached. Photo of phone is Tiger Direct giving me the silent treatment for 1 hour 46 minutes just sitting there refusing to say anything, not even hello! It went on for 3 hours then they hung up realizing I'm never going blink... LOL!
Negative Experience with TigerDirect: Bait and Switch and Poor Customer Service
I had a bit of a rough experience with TigerDirect about four years ago when I ordered a computer for my business. I was specifically looking for new computers and found one that said "new" on the product description. However, when I received it, it was actually refurbished and came with a CD for me to install Windows myself. Needless to say, I was pretty frustrated and ended up filing a complaint with the BBB. It wasn't until then that they tried to work towards a solution.
Fast forward to now, and I decided to give them a second chance. I called and spoke to someone to make sure I was ordering a new computer. I placed my order and thought everything was good to go. However, just three hours later, I received a call from TigerDirect saying that the product was out of stock. This was confusing to me because it had said it was in stock online and their sales rep had told me it was available for sale. I was pretty annoyed at this point and told them to cancel my entire order (which also included a monitor). I made it clear that I never wanted to receive anything or do any business with them ever again.
Unfortunately, the next day I received confirmation that my card had been charged for the monitor and that it was being pulled for delivery. I was pretty upset because I had explicitly told them to cancel the entire order. Customer service told me that they couldn't cancel the order at this point, so I was stuck with the monitor. I'll have to send it back when it arrives.
Overall, I would say that my experience with TigerDirect has been pretty negative. They bait and switch customers by advertising products as "new" when they're actually refurbished. On top of that, their customer service is pretty terrible. I would recommend staying away from them if you can.
Unethical Business Practices: My Experience with TigerDirect
So, I was looking for a small item and found it on TigerDirect's website. It said it was in stock, so I went ahead and ordered it. But, to my dismay, I received an email shortly after saying that the item was actually on back order. I was pretty frustrated, but I decided to cancel the order right away. I sent several emails and even used Amazon's pay service to cancel the order.
After a little while, I received an email from TigerDirect saying that the cancellation was in process and that I would receive confirmation soon. However, I never actually received that confirmation email. Instead, two days later, I got a notification from Amazon saying that TigerDirect had requested payment for the item and had even sent a shipping email.
I was pretty upset about this, as it seemed like TigerDirect was ignoring my cancellation request just so they could make the sale. And to make matters worse, they then had the nerve to send me an email outlining all the different charges I would have to pay to return the item. They even suggested that it would be cheaper for me to just keep the item, which felt really sketchy to me.
I order things online all the time, and I've never encountered such unethical business practices before. It's really disappointing to see a company behave this way, especially when they're supposed to be a reputable retailer. I don't usually leave reviews, but I feel like it's important to let others know about my experience with TigerDirect. I plan on leaving a review every day until I've covered every dollar I spent or wasted on them.

Nightmare Return Process and Unhelpful Customer Service: My Experience with TigerDirect
I recently had an experience with TigerDirect that left me feeling frustrated and disappointed. I needed to purchase ink cartridges for my printer, so I called their customer service line and provided them with my printer's model number. The representative on the phone helped me select three cartridges and I placed my order.
When the cartridges arrived, I quickly realized that they were not the correct ones for my printer. I called TigerDirect right away to try and resolve the issue, but was told that I would need to contact HP for assistance. Unfortunately, HP was unable to help me and directed me back to TigerDirect.
Getting a return or exchange processed with TigerDirect was a nightmare. I spent hours on hold, was hung up on multiple times, and even had representatives lie to me about the status of my return. Eventually, I was able to get the cartridges returned, but I had to pay for shipping and was charged a 20% restocking fee.
To make matters worse, I only received a refund for two of the three cartridges. When I called back to inquire about the missing refund, I was transferred to four different representatives, three of whom were incredibly rude and unhelpful. They insisted that I had received all of my money and that the issue was with my bank. After multiple calls and emails, I finally received the missing refund, but it took far too long and was a frustrating process.
Overall, I would not recommend TigerDirect to anyone. Their customer service was unhelpful and rude, and the return process was a nightmare. It's not worth the hassle to deal with a company that doesn't stand behind their products and makes it difficult to get a refund for their mistakes.
TigerDirect's Dishonesty and Lack of Respect: A Frustrating Experience
TigerDirect is, like, the worst company I've ever had to deal with. I ordered 10 HP ProBooks on May 25, and it's now June 16 and I still haven't gotten my stuff. I've talked to a bunch of TigerDirect reps and they've all straight up lied to me. They keep saying my order will ship out that day or the next and that I'll get an email with tracking info, but I haven't gotten anything. All I've gotten is a confirmation that my order hasn't shipped and there are no updates. One of the "supervisors" told me that the customer service department can't even call the warehouse, they can only email them. How is that even possible? It's been almost a month and my order still hasn't shipped. TigerDirect's complete lack of honesty and respect has left me super pissed off. Their service is totally unacceptable and I'm never giving them any of my business again.
TigerDirect's Poor Business Practices: Refurbished Laptops Sold as New
I run a computer store and have been a frequent customer of TigerDirect. However, I have had enough of their poor business practices. Recently, I ordered two laptops from their website, which were listed as new. But to my surprise, I received two refurbished laptops that were eight years old. I tried calling their customer service three times, but each time I was put on hold for at least 20 minutes before I had to hang up. So, I decided to try their chat option, but it was even worse. It took me six attempts over three days to finally connect with someone.
I offered to keep the laptops in exchange for a 20% rebate in the form of a store credit. I explained that it would cost almost as much to return the laptops and refund my purchase. But the person who made the decision refused my offer. As a business owner, I know that this was a foolish decision. So, I informed them that there would be consequences for refusing to satisfy this customer.
Firstly, I will now look elsewhere to fill my needs, and TigerDirect has lost my business. Secondly, I will write no less than three negative reviews online about TigerDirect, and they have now lost other business. Thirdly, I will spread my negative view of TigerDirect via word of mouth, losing them even more business. All because they wanted to save a few bucks.
However, I have noticed that the web is filled with negative reviews of TigerDirect. Perhaps I should have read those first before making a purchase. It's a shame that a company with such a long history in the industry has resorted to such poor business practices. I hope they take customer satisfaction seriously and improve their services in the future.
Disappointing Experience with TigerDirect's Bare Bones Computer Package Deal
I recently had an experience with TigerDirect that left me feeling frustrated and disappointed. My mother-in-law had purchased a bare bones computer package from their website, and when we received it and attempted to build it, we quickly realized that the power supply that came with the tower was incompatible with the motherboard.
Now, my husband and I are no strangers to building computers - we've done it many times before - but this was a new issue for us. We spent hours on the phone with customer service, tech reps, and ultimately a supervisor, trying to find a solution to the problem. Unfortunately, the end result was a complete unwillingness on the part of TigerDirect to make the situation right and send us a box/power supply that was compatible with the motherboard.
Their first "solution" was to offer us a $41 refund to return the box/power supply (which was selling online for $89.99), and then we were on our own to find a replacement that would work with the motherboard. I was not satisfied with this solution and asked to speak with a supervisor. I was told that all the supervisors were busy, but one would call me back. After waiting over an hour with no returned phone call, I called again and finally spoke with a supervisor.
I explained the situation once again, but there was zero understanding on their part. Even though the company had sold us a non-compatible item/package, they were not willing to take responsibility for it. Finally, "solution #2" was offered - a full refund. While this was better than nothing, it was frustrating to think that TigerDirect would rather lose our business than make things right.
If you're considering purchasing a bare bones computer package deal from TigerDirect, I would advise you to be cautious. It's possible that you could end up with the same incompatible package that we received, and the company may not be willing to help you resolve the issue. Overall, I was disappointed with my experience with TigerDirect and would not recommend them to others.
Disappointing Customer Service Experience with TigerDirect: A Warning to Others
I have been a loyal customer of TigerDirect for many years, but my recent experience with their customer service has left me extremely disappointed. I needed to order parts for two computer systems and opted for 2-day shipping to ensure that I could build and ship the machines to my customer on time. However, I received an email late on a Friday night stating that my order was on hold awaiting approval.
After waiting on hold for over an hour, I finally spoke to a supervisor who informed me that my order would not ship in time to meet the date I had paid for with the 2-day service. I asked to change the shipping to next day air, but was told that I would have to cancel the order and reorder it to do so. I complied and placed a new order with next day air, carefully monitoring the delivery date to ensure that it would ship on time.
To my dismay, I discovered that the order was also on hold. It took me another 50 minutes just to get a person on the phone, and when I finally spoke to a supervisor, he promised to expedite the order to ensure that it shipped on time. However, the order still did not ship, leaving me with no time to build the computers and ship them to my customer.
I have never experienced such poor and uncaring service from TigerDirect before. It is a shame because they used to be the best company out there for computer parts. I will never use them again and will be sure to warn others about their terrible customer service.
Unethical and Scammy: My Experience with TigerDirect
Let me tell you, TigerDirect is not a company you want to do business with. They are so unethical and evil, it's unbelievable. I mean, just look at all the fake reviews they post on their website. It's like they're trying to trick you into thinking they're a good company. But don't be fooled, they're just like fake news.
Their website is a total scam too. They advertise items as being in stock with a big green "ADD TO CART" button, but then when you try to purchase the item, they hit you with an "ITEM NOT IN STOCK" message. It's like they knew all along that the item wasn't in stock, but they just wanted to secure the sale and tie up your money. And good luck trying to cancel your order. You'll have to go to your bank and get them involved because TigerDirect's customer service is non-existent.
When you call their customer service number and press 2 to speak to someone, you'll be on the line for 30 minutes with someone who doesn't say a word. I could hear the person sniffling on the other end, but they never once said anything. It's like they're just waiting for you to get frustrated and hang up. And if you try to email them to cancel your order, they'll just ignore you.
Honestly, TigerDirect is a criminal organization. If they just played nice and treated their customers with respect, they could be as big as Amazon. But they're just a bunch of idiots who don't know how to run a business. My bank is already looking into this, and I suggest you stay far away from TigerDirect.
TigerDirect Review: Terrible Customer Service and No Delivery of 75" TV
I recently made a purchase on TigerDirect for a 75" TV. Unfortunately, I never received a confirmation email and had to call the company after three days of waiting. I was put on hold for over an hour before finally speaking to a representative. To my surprise, the representative told me that they were waiting for me to call them to confirm the order. I found this to be quite odd, but I confirmed the order and was told that the TV would be shipped on June 11th and would arrive on June 18th.
However, by June 20th, I still had not received any tracking information. I tried calling the company, but they were not available on the weekends. I had to wait until Monday morning to speak to a representative. Unfortunately, I was put on hold for another hour before finally speaking to someone. The representative told me that they had no idea where the TV was, but they would track it down and send me the tracking information as soon as possible.
It's now Tuesday afternoon, and I still haven't received any tracking information. I tried using their "live" online help, but I was told that my wait time would be one minute. After waiting for five minutes, I received a message asking me to leave a message due to extensive wait times. I tried to leave a message, but I was told that I couldn't and would have to try again later.
As of today, June 22nd, I still haven't received my TV, and I'm out thousands of dollars. I'm starting to wonder if TigerDirect is one of those Chinese websites because I once had a similar experience with a swimsuit I ordered from a Chinese website. I highly doubt the legitimacy of any positive reviews about this company. Their customer service is terrible, and I don't see how they could receive a legitimate 5-star rating. I highly recommend taking your money somewhere else because TigerDirect is nothing but a headache.
Integrity of company- iPad pricing
DONT SHOP HERE! My complaint is literally the same complaint I’m seeing on other review sites- it used to be reputable but not anymore. Bought an IPad on 2/4, by 2/10 I checked to see where it was and they cancelled without notice- said it’s because they put the wrong price up and didn’t want to honor it-dozens of other reviews say it’s to collect data and spam and sell to others. Just run.
Desired outcome: Honor the pricing
Horrible customer service / I reached tech support to assist me with my issue instead
I placed an order for a computer and on the website it was NOT on backorder when I ordered it. As of today, it is NOT LISTED on backorder on the website.
I was reassured by the verification department that it would be delivered on time.
I called today because I received an email that it's on backorder. The first service rep was VERY condescending and had a horrible tone with me. She stated, "WELL ITS BEEN ON BACKORDER FOR THREE WEEKS so..." I told her that I didn't understand since it's not listed on the website on backorder as of a few moments ago and I placed this order MORE than a week ago. She continued to speak to me very condescendingly and I asked for a supervisor since I was not getting anywhere. She put me on hold and then hung up on me after wasting my time.
I called back and pressed the number prompt for customer service again and spoke with a different customer service rep who kept saying "hold on" with an annoyed tone while she was supposedly checking the status then eventually she disconnected the line as well wasting more of my time and obviously upsetting me more.
I called back a 3rd time but this time I pressed the prompt for tech support because I realized the customer service must be obviously trained to hang up when they can't resolve an issue. The tech support gentleman Richard not only reassured me he would look into the matter. He kept coming back from on hold and letting me know he was still looking into it. He found the error in the system and advised me of the situation, resolved the issue, and addressed all my concerns. He gave me a tracking number for my order and was kind and courteous.
The tracking number the tech support team provided stated that a label was created on 12/8/2022 10:27 AM but it has not been shipped yet. It's really disappointing that it's been 5 business days and it has not been shipped yet just a label was created and it was only created today but still I have some answers.
Customer service needs to learn from Tech Support.
TigerDirect needs to address this immediately it reflects SO badly. I know this amount of money may not seem like a lot to some but it's a lot for us. The original customer service rep made a comment that this was a gaming PC. I bought this PC because I handle a lot of programs for my work that require some of these upgrades, ram, etc and it was recommended to me. Not because I can't wait to play games on it. Either way that is the customer's business and their money. The attitude was uncalled for.
If the original customer service rep was kind and tried to assist then I wouldn't be typing this. Your tech team told me news that I wasn't happy with but I was kind to him and he was kind to me because it's not his fault that things get delayed. Customer Service should learn from tech support.
Desired outcome: Retrain your customer service team to be more empathetic and not hang up on people.
Missing package
I purchased a computer from TigerDirect online, on 9/24/22. My total was over $200. I learned (while placing my order) that no signature was required at the time of delivery, which was unnerving, but I did not see an option to change this type of delivery. Apparently, UPS is who delivers TigerDirect's goods to consumers. I expected my new computer to arrive before the end of September. The computer still had not arrived by the end of the first week of October.
I placed a phone call to Tiger Direct immediately on October 7 after noticing an email dated October 6, stating "Thank you for your recent order. Our records indicate your order was completely shipped approximately 10 days ago. At this point, you should have received every item of your order." During this initial phone call with the TigerDirect customer "service" team, I was told to "ask my neighbors" first, before calling back to have TigerDirect file a claim with UPS.
Now, I live at the end of a very long driveway, and I can see everybody coming in and out of the property. I waited and watched for two weeks, for this package. Not a single package was delivered to our home during this time.
After having long written conversations with my neighbors, inquiring about the package possibly being delivered to them by mistake, I called TigerDirect back with the intention of having them file a claim with UPS. Since no signature was required upon delivery, there was no true proof of the package being delivered to me - or being delivered at all. I believe that TD's customer team mentioned that they do some sort of back track/tracing for the lost package, collaborating with UPS. I was told that they would gather video footage from the surrounding areas (how?) in order to help complete the investigation. I was told this investigation would be completed within 5-7 days and that they would contact me immediately with the outcome.
I did not receive a single call, letter, or email from TigerDirect with information about the outcome of the investigation. I called back a THIRD TIME and TigerDirect said that the case was closed because it was determined "delivered". I asked when the case was closed because I did not recieve anything. I was told that the case was closed October 7 (which could not be, because that was when the case was supposedly opened; I had made my first formal inquiry of the package being lost or missing on that date). Frantic, I asked them for proof that the computer was delivered and they just said that "[my name]" confirmed receipt of delivery. I did NOT confirm receipt of delivery, and I do not know how they would confirm this when no signature nor ID was required. They said that UPS's tracking "confirmed" that it was "delivered".
It's ridiculous that I have to pay for something that was either lost by UPS, or stolen, or undelivered/unshipped to begin with. I am calling my credit card company to file a dispute: I will not pay for this computer. I will post and file complaints with any company possible that handles problems like this, and ensure that my voice is heard. I am IRATE.
Desired outcome: I would very much appreciate a response from TigerDirect granting a full refund for the amount paid for the order.
Customer service on an order
Date: 04-06-2022 until 06-10-2022
Issue: I'll make this as simple as possible. We ordered 2 UPS in 2 different orders on 04-06-2022 that showed as "In Stock."
We were given a delivery date in April around the 15th. Order did not come. Contacted cs by phone.
New delivery date on 05-29-2022. Order did not come. Contacted cs by phone - given new delivery date - I asked if this date was absolute and ironclad - they assured me it was.
New delivery date on 06-10-2022. Today is the 10th. I called support and asked them if this order is still going to arrive today - our clients who have been waiting for over 2 months. They said no. New date, the 14th. I said give me a manager. They said they'll call you back. I said no, I'll hold...1 hour and 20 minutes, nothing. Still no call from a manager.
This is the worst customer service and the worst management of a company of this scale I have seen. We will never do business with TD again. I requested a refund for my client. I have no expectation they will actually do it. They have openly lied each step of this process. I have no faith in this company and I hope this dissuades others from ever doing business here again.
Desired outcome: Don't care - I'll tell everyone I do business with never to consider TD a reliable hardware source. Read their history if you want to see how deep their lies and thieving go.
new defected desktop not working and no exchange or refund?
i just purchased a refurbish desktop for my parent so they can learn and pay bills. first of al UPS delayed and the computer didnt arrives like 2 weeks late, then when i tried setup the computer just keeps restarting and shut down by itself, after that you have to wait more than 30mins in order to turn on the computer. Tigerdirect refuse to exchange or refund because they said its over the time limit. I have already told them UPS delivered 2 weeks late and i have already told them first place and UPS had record. Please help asap!
Refurbished pc's
I just purchased a refurbished hp laptop, when I received it the battery would not stay in no matter which way the "lock panel" was placed. Then the power would not come on or stay on. I followed THEIR instructions to the letter to obtain a return #, but was REFUSED one. The alleged customer support is non existant . I was told the # would be emailed to me, it was not, they try to run the 14 days out so you are screwed out of your money with a useless pc. Save yourself this hassle and buy from a business that stands behind what sell.
Desired outcome: give me my money back
the worst service ever
They canceled my order without notifying me. I didn't even know and just waited for them to ship it. Thank god I called and asked. All of a sudden they call customers and ask to verify orders and they couldn't reach me, so that was the reason why they canceled it. Ok, but why you didn't write about it on your website? Usually, no one calls and you simply place your order and wait for it to arrive. If you warned me, I would surely be ready to confirm it via phone.
But however, I didn't see any income calls on that day from anyone, so they probably just lied to me. Who knows.
I want a refund now, that's all. I don't want to be ripped off.
The complaint has been investigated and resolved to the customer's satisfaction.
I have an issue
Hello, I have a problem with www.tigerdirect.com website and I really need help. I placed an order and did not received it. It was placed in early December and it is now late January and still no sign of my order. Customer service does not reply to my messages and I have absolutely no idea what to do. Another thing that bothers me is that I can't enter their website! It says that I have to verify my order and there is a phone number but when I call no one picks up. I paid for my order and received all the confirmations, but it still says I need to verify. But how can I do that if no one answers the phone? I want TigerDirect to contact me as soon as possible regarding this issue.
terrible vendor!
Ordered a laptop from TigerDirect two months ago and did not get it yet. When I contacted them they said that they had no idea why my order was not shipped. For about two weeks my order was in a warehouse and they could not explain why. It was really hard to communicate with their rep, because he barely spoke English. These two moths we tried to find my order, but one day they just stopped answering me and even now they continue to ignore me. I finally gave up and asked them to cancel my order, but they did not reply yet.
never got my chromebook
I ordered an hp 11 chromebook back in April. I was suppose to receive it on the 15th. Ups emailed me to let me know that it was delivered, I called them immediately to inform them I did not receive the package. Tigerdirect will not return my calls or emails. I went through the fraud dept. Of my bank but that was a waste of time. Tirgerdirect had no problem taking the money and they won't make the order good. All I want is what I paid for. This is now the middle of may and out $172.95. Attorney general is next on my list and then the FBI fraud division. I will go up the ladder however far I have to. Make it right and I'll go away. Until then I will continue posting on whatever I have to and I will continue calling. ( The order number is: r3473031) I can't even get a receipt. The only proof I have is my bank statement.
