if it wasn't for my fiance i would be ### out of luck too. i almost fell for this ### too. it was a phillips 42 lcd tv from craigslist. HiI still have the TV. The TV is in perfect shape (take a look at the attached pics) and it comes with 18 months of transferable warranty. I am now in United Kingdom. I have been relocated here with my work several months ago. The TV is a US version and I think I can sell it for a better price in the US.Since I can't meet you and make the exchange, I would like to use a service that will help us with that. Please go here to see the procedure:TNT is a worldwide delivery company (like Fedex, DHL or UPS). You can see from their procedure that you will be able to check the TV before I receive the payment. If you are in a hurry, I will use 2 day delivery (shipping is on me).Let me know what you think. Thanks, Susan
BE CAREFUL GUYS!
The complaint has been investigated and resolved to the customer’s satisfaction.
I also seen an ad recently on craigslist and reported it. It read like this:
"Hi, The MacBook Pro is still available, but I'm currently in London, United Kingdom. Because of the financial crisis, I lost my job in United States and I had to come back to my family.
I don't need the laptop anymore so I tried to sell it locally, but with no luck. I was offered silly money for the laptop because of issues like - it is a US version or the warranty doesn't work here or that it has a US keyboard format. That's why I'm trying my luck in the US.
I hope you are still interested. The laptop was bought brand new from Apple a 10 weeks ago. I have attached some pics with it to this email.
About the laptop I can say it is 10 weeks old and it is in good shape, no scratches, no dents as you can see from the pics I've sent. Included in the $580 price is everything the laptop came with when it was new, including the original manuals and warranty papers. The warranty is fully transferable to the new owner.
The laptop is here with me in UK.
I tried to be as thorough as I could with the presentation so you can have all the info if you decide to go ahead and buy it.
Please get back to me and let me know if you like the laptop if you're really interested in buying it.
Thanks,

I sent an email to this person telling them i don't purchase through delivery - still waiting for a response. I am so grateful that i've seen these posts before I dealt with her any further.

If in fact you are genuine we can use an escrow account of MY choosing and I will release the funds uspon receipt. I JUST HAD THE EXACT SAME EXPERIENCE! I almost went ahead with everything until I thought to check the original Craigslist post one last time. Thank God I did. I saw it had been flagged. Then I googled "anna_halley1979@hotmail.com" and found this site.
MANY, many thanks to the previous bloggers!
I just 1 step-close to fall into this scam, I already make the Western Union payment thru US Bank. After I back from bank, my mind keep on thinking of the US Bank lady that reminding me about the possible fraud if paying with WU. So I decided to make a call to TNT and 1st question she asked me is how is the payment being done, I said Western Union and immediately she said this is scam. Luckily I manage to rush to bank and stop the payment. If I am late for another 1 hour, I woulda lost my money as I receive the email from "TNT" that he no manage to receive the money as I stopped it. How stupid I am.
Here is mail conversation from the scammer..

Haha, really, this "Arianna" is all over the place!
Fortunately for me, I did some research PRIOR to actually sending money via W.U.
Same story, different details: Arianna Nordwind, Chief Logistic Officer, currently in Torino, Italy, blah, blah, blah... You will notice that "Arianna" uses same words, even sentences to sell completely different items. That should make you suspicious, to begin with.
Here is the original mail.

So, the corespondence continues, she (or he, I really don't know or care anymore) recommends "a worldwide delivery company called TNT", "that will cover the both of us", blah, blah, blah...
Same M.O., they even use the same first name usually, but I've also seen a "Susan" in some of the posts here...
Anyway, to conclude, Craigslist clearly warns us to beware of deals having something to do with Western Union, shipping, escrows, money order, etc... So it is entirely YOUR fault, if you get scammed by those evil crooks...
The last e-mail I sent to "Arianna" was:
Well, 'Arianna', I did some research, because it all seemed too good to be true. And found out I was right... too bad, because you got me hoping that I just might be lucky enough to find such an awesome deal... Anyway, I can promise you that I will do whatever I can to educate people about your little scam, and I hope you will pay the price of the misdeeds you are involved in, whoever you are. Have a horrible day.

Arianna,
Awesome. What a sweet coincidence that you live in Italy all of the sudden. And you just so happen to be a Chief Logistics Officer. What are the odds? Hey, I bet you could send it to me for free! Wow what luck I have. This just seems like its meant to be. My loins are swelling just thinking about how lucky I must be to be dealing with you of all people. How bout you send the iMac to a friend of yours at Acme Co in "my city" and I will pick it up from them, give them cash (in Euros of course) and they can send it to you in Torino.

Arianna's back.. now as Arianna Burlow ! Craigslist entry: BRAVIA(R) W-Series 1080p LCD HDTV Sony - $305 (phoenix). Big thanks to this forum ! Continue posting sightings of this spammer so it helps the craigslist community.
I can not believe that this scam artist has not been caught. I ALMOST spent 400 to buy an IPAD. Luckily, I decided to check out the shipping company and found all of these reviews. Wow, did I learn a lesson.
Thanks everyone, for posting.
I recently replied to a CL ad for an apple mac book pro(from Bianca Geneovese, email address: b_genovese@hotmail.com), and received a similar email to ship via TNT. The link she/they give me looked suspicious
http://shiptnt.uk.com/express.london.depot.overseas.transactions.html
so i googled TNT shipping and their official website is www.tnt.com
slick... So beware...the only reason CL got so popular is because of being able to pick up locally and not have to deal with shipping. There is no rating system for sellers/safeguards for items shipped ie EBay, So if you cant pick up an item you are paying for on CL...automatically think SCAM!
Omg Arianna "Richardson"...Arianna "Meyerson" ...I got Arianna "Barlow"! watch out people! I almost fell for this! Thank god my sister said nooooooo and she found this site for me to prove to me it was a scam...it's Christmas time and there's no way I could've replaced the loss of this money for the holiday! Be very careful people...I even tried to call the 1-800 # and the 1-400 # on TNT website and neither work...runnnnnn people "ARIANNA" is a scam and so is TNT...thought the deal was too good to be true, a 46" flat screen tv for $300 and she'll pay shipping and she used to live in Indiana thats why she's selling it on craigslist cause she moved to Italy for a job and the plugs are different. I even checked out the company she works at, sounded like she had a major posistion but he name was no where on their website either. This is soooo badddd! People can be such JERKKKSSS! Sooo glad for this website and my sister
I got Arianna Barlow...her email was ariannabarlow@live.com here was her email I got about the tv I asked about!
Hi, I am getting back to you regarding the 46" Sony LCD, 1080p full HDTV from Craigslist
My name is Arianna and I am now in Torino, Italy.
I am selling the 46" Sony LCD, 1080p, full HDTV, 120 Mhz for $300 USD. I have attached some pics so you can see the condition of the TV.
The TV is still available and I hope you are still interested. This TV was ordered brand new 4 months ago.
About the TV I can say it is 4 months old and it is in good shape, no scratches, no dents as you can see from the pics I've sent. Included in the $300 price is everything the TV came with when it was new, including the original manuals and warranty papers. The TV still has warranty for the next 20 months. The warranty is fully transferable to the new owner.
The TV is here with me in Italy.
I tried to be as thorough as I could with the presentation so you can have all the info if you decide to go ahead and buy it.
I have used the TV mostly for the news and movies, so I would say it has been only lightly used.
One more thing, the TV is an US version and it works on the US power and plug system so you do not need a converter to use it in the US.
Please get back to me and let me know if you like the TV if you're really interested in buying it.
Thanks,
Arianna

She now go by Arianna Robinson and she is selling an IPAD for $400. She stated that she is working in Italy now. Please be aware of this scam. She also mention about the TNT shipment and sent me the link to the website. I saw the ad on Criaglist EZ which is an app from itunes that I downloaded to my ipad recently. Hope this helps some of you out there before you make a big mistke and get scammed out of your hard earned money. I am so blessed to come across this website that stopped me from making a huge mistake and allowing us to warn everybody of her next move... I will post an ad on CraigList warning everyone that sees any ad that mentions TNT and the seller is out of the country and selling their products way to cheap to be true. We all need to post an ad every time we see that someone is trying to scam and soon they will get the hint and stop the scam. It will start here with me and the scam of the Ipad, and I hope that you will also do the same for those who do not get a chance to find this website or found it way to late. Thanks from all the buyers that banded together against the scammers.
I came across this same Arianna woman on Craiglist (though I doubt it's even a woman) - couldn't "she" pick different names? "She's" going by Arianna Nielsen with the email address ariannablake@live.com right now and "she" is still saying she's based in Torino, Italy. The deal seemed too good to be true from the start, and with this whole shipping deal, I knew something was up. Below are "her" two emails. Funny that even the word choice/sentence structure is the same in all of these messages she sends to people - "she" probably doesn't even know English and is just sending a pre-prepared script:

I then sent her a few questions, and this was her response:
[Hi XXXX,
The reason why I am selling the imac is because I received it as a bonus from work and I don't like it. And I don't think the retails price was that high.
I won't return home so soon. I'll have to send it to you from here.
I found a way to sell you the imac that will cover the both of us. It's a worldwide delivery company called TNT. They have a service that will allow you to test the imac before I receive my payment.
Please go to the TNT website below and read their procedure so we can be on the same page:
http://www.todepot-tnt.com/tnt.express.torino.depot.overseas.transactions/
I will pay the TNT shipping fee and I can use 2 day delivery if you are in a hurry.
Thanks.

wow i just got ripped off by this arianna person just last week for the Iphone 4...How the hell can this be stopped...I have a name of the TNT "representative" who received the money in torino Italy...One thing I noticed when I was sending the money through Western Union on their screen it had some kind of Scam Alet Message but since the western union rep didnt say anything I thought it was normal...or maybe it is, well I got ripped off for 330 us dollars : (
I think I'm in the middle of this issue now. She now uses the name Bianca Genovese. She said to use TNT, but said you don't pay anything until you test the computer out. A lot of the wording was very much like what I've read here. My question is, if you don't pay anything until you test and take possession of the item, where does the scam come in? I wouldn't pay anything until I had possession.
I got one from Bianca Genovese for a MacBook Pro, $590 on Craigslist here in Baltimore, MD.
When she replied to the email, the price was 580, even though it said 590 FIRM in the ad.
I really knew something was up when "she" sent the TNT link, which didn't work and looked questionable.
Then I used google and found this.
I've had 419 scammers try to take advantage of me on eBay. I can't believe I almost fell for this.
I replied and said she'd need to sell through eBay and paypal for me to buy it.
I had the SAME thing happen to me by the same person just THIS WEEK, with the most recent email received last night. Wow, I'm so grateful for this webpage! I would have been really harmed by this person/ company. Here's what "Arianna" sent to me:

Hi,
I posted the ad there because I live there. But now I have been relocated here with my work.
I am selling the imac in the US because the warranty is good only there. Because of that, nobody wants it here for this price.

Yes, I was interested but the unit is not on Oahu, would have given Cash if you have proof of purchase (don't want to get involved with questionable property) and found it best way to use Craigslist. Just curious how it showed up on the Hawaii Craigslist site. If unit still under warranty may still be interested - depending on UPS/FedEx shipping charges. Got your ZIP Code? Mine is 96789 so I can try to see how much additional cost would be incurred. How would payment be made would be another hurdle? PayPal? Thanks, Mike

She is now going by the name Biana Genovese BEWARE! I'm also very glad I came across this site before I gave my hard earned money to these [censor]s!
These people (i'm pretty sure it's not just one person) e-mailed me about a TV using the name Arianna Beamer and the email address
arianna-beamer@hotmail.com. I visited the website and got it's IP address. It's 217.23.11.215 and is located in Maasdijk, Netherlands. The latitude and longitude is 51.[protected] and 4.[protected] if anyone is in the area and wants to pay them a visit. lol.
I used www.ip-address.com to look up information on it. It's pretty intense because it even shows a map/picture of the building the website is being hosted from.
Anyways, I'm glad I googled this name. Once I read about the person being out of the area, I knew it was a scam but was curious as to whether other people had dealt with this same person before.
I also received the same email as NOT_RIPPED_YET. Does anybody know of anything that could be done about this? Anything that could possibly punish them?
