On 06 Nov 2018 I contacted Toms River transmission and recieved a quote for $1450, so I followed instructions to do an electronic check, I did. A week later I checked he said waiting on parts, a month later same thing, as per NJ state internet purchase laws I followed procedures and after 6 weeks I requested refund, I waited 14 days again as per NJ state law and did not recieve refund. I have filed charges in my state, and have contacted an attorney for loss due to my truck being down costs me 100 a day, so DO NOT PURCHASE ANYTHING FROM THIS COMPANY. It is internet scam and fraud at its finest.

I to purchased a transmission from Toms River on Oct 23, 2018 for the sum of $1350.00 and 7 - 10 days later I emailed looking for an update, guess what waiting for parts. Over the next month I emailed him J.R. the owner no less than 15 times always an excuse of the shop was closed or waiting for parts. Just as a FYI the parts are all available at you local parts store or could be ordered and have them within 2 days. After waiting the 6 weeks as per his policy I requested in writing a full refund, 2 weeks later on Dec 21, 2018 he claimed to have mailed the check. I'm in Mass and he's in N.J so even with the snail mail it should take only a few days to arrive. After a week had passed and not receiving my refund I contacted the Attorney Generals office in N.J and filed a complaint against them and at that time the stated that they already had another open complainant against them. I also have filed a complaint with the BBB. Sent .R. an email 2 days ago stating that I never revived my refund and he said that it must of got lost in the mail and that he sent out another one yesterday 1/29/19. Meanwhile I had to go ahead and have my work van repaired locally for the sum of $2500.00 and the rebuilt it and had it back to me in 1.5 days. That's what a reputable company does to earn and keep your business. DO NOT PURCHASE ANYTHING FROM THIS BUSINESS...READ THE REVIEWS AND BEWARE

I am currently going through the same thing with this business. Next week will be 6 weeks so I am waiting until then to ask for a FULL refund. Did you ever receive your refund?

I just went through it. Make sure you do not cancel the order before 6 weeks or he will charge you 25% fee. This is how he makes his money. I don't think anyone actually gets a trans from him. He just frustrates people so they cancel before 6 weeks so he can charge a fee for no product. It's in his fine print on his site that is hard to find. It took me 3 1/2 months from order date to finally getting my money back from him. e-mail him every day. Don't give in to this POS.

I have been dealing with him for 6 months. Btw the excuses were tube exact same as everyone else. At this point I'm curious if a class action type lawsuit with all the people he has scammed would be something to look into. Im still trying to get there $1450.00 back. Also I don't really care if his sister is his attorney like he says, that's just to scare people off. Something needs to be done.
