The selection is great and they offer this thing called affirm finance that lets you get your hands on some better tools without breaking the bank. It's pretty sweet, but I gotta say, the shipping is a bit of a bummer. It's like, why does it cost so much to get these tools to my door? I mean, I get that they gotta make some money, but come on.

But then, on March 15th, I got some bad news. The drill press wouldn't be shipped until April 5th from their supplier. And even if it does ship (which I'm not holding my breath for), I probably won't receive it until April 11th. That's a whole month after I placed my order! I was pretty ticked off.
When I called customer service to express my dissatisfaction, they didn't seem to care at all. They just said they "really didn't know what else to say." I suggested that they give me a partial credit as a gesture of good faith, but they refused. It was clear to me that they care nothing for their customers and their shipping estimates online are completely false.
So, my advice to you is to shop elsewhere. Don't trust toolbarn.com. They'll just leave you waiting and waiting and waiting...

When I opened the box, I noticed that the trimmer head was different from the one that was pictured and described on their website. I wanted a bump head, but the one in the box was manual feed. I decided to call their customer service to inquire about the discrepancy.
The person who answered the phone was immediately argumentative and denied any responsibility for sending the trimmer with the head shown in the ad. I was pretty sure that the law says a seller is responsible for selling what is advertised, but he kept arguing with me. Eventually, he transferred me to the manager, who was just as argumentative and insulting. I couldn't believe how rude they were being to a customer!
After a lot of arguing, the manager finally said he would find the head I wanted. He called me back the next day, June 9, and said he had found it and that I would receive it in 5-7 days. But that didn't happen. I had to contact them again via email to document our conversation. Then, suddenly, the manager said he would send it out. But even his note contained inaccuracies about our conversation, so I had to correct him.
I was so frustrated with this whole experience that I told him I would file a consumer complaint in his and my state. I was serious, too. But to their credit, I did eventually receive the trimmer head I had requested. However, this was one of the worst buying experiences of my life. I wish I had read reviews about this company before buying from them. They get numerous bad reviews on many sites around the web, so buyer beware!

We spent over $300 on it, so we was expectin' it to come in good condition. But when it arrived, the casing was all messed up. We was pretty ticked off 'cause we didn't wanna spend all that money on somethin' that was damaged.
So we called up ToolBarn to see what they could do. And you know what they said? They said they don't keep cases in stock, but we could ask for a replacement. But get this - they said the replacement might be better, the same, or worse. What kinda answer is that? Don't they check their stock before they send stuff out?

I think it's ridiculous that it only lasted that long.
