Another scam in the name of Total Oil and Gas Company.
My friend got contacted from a reputable vacancy ad website, offering him the position of Senior Project Manager.
The scam was essentially the same and rather simple - very official language, asking for copies of documents and also a face-to-face interview in their office in Watford, UK.
The scamming part comes from their insisting on using their partner travel agency, and to pay about 900 quid for the travel expenses (initially), to show the candidate's "commitment". We didn't fall for it, but I'm assuming that more expense were to come had we sent them the initial 900.
I've come across other similar scams, all of them using TOTAL Oil and Gas name, but with different variations and travel agencies:

I shall paste the email and their contact details here to warn anyone who is tempted buy such a lavish job offer in UK.

This Scam was generated with perfect endeavour.Also, it has been produced professinally by experts who work recruitment agency or recruitment campaign. Thx Enic that's why revealing of that scam. Plz watch out such a fraud, hence always try to be sensible approach; do not treate hasty - As you know that " haste makes waste ", ask to yourself " why choosed me ?, Am i really so lucky one out of 1, 000, 000 emloyees ? " Answers will show the reality ;)

I got the same message in France.
They succeeded to post this announce in the name of Total in LinkedIn. This is a huge mistake by LinkedIn which let some unofficial announcer posting those fraudulent job offers.
I was doubting since the beginning, because working as a communicant, i saw some "graphic" problems (the logo is flattened, the colors of titles are different from one doc to the other, typographic issues and some orthographic/grammar mistakes).
Look at those details to be sure.
I`ve got the same message today (I`m from Russia, Moscow).
The same “Invitation for Interview” from hrdept@carriers-totaluk.com in the name of Total Oil and Gas UK. I totally agree that it could be called a huge mistake or maybe even a criminal complicity by LinkedIn that they let some f…ing gang cheat people from around the world ((

I recieve the same message from same person the Seyhan posted the same letter with same text. They are very smart, but if you check the maps with their adress there is no bulding with Total sign on it. Easy bussiness type three pages and wait for money transfer, I am sure that they recieve money from some people who didn`t pay attention to the adress in letters. Agreed with that LinkedIn must pay more attantion on security.

A fresh case from Bulgaria. The guy from the "travel agency" sounded like he was drunk, and then the fake domain address of Engr. Daniel McBrynt were enough for me to realize something is wrong. When they asked me to pay my travel expenses well in advance, I was absolutely sure that this is 100% fake.

In Romania as well. It sounded too nice to be true so before even contacting the travel agency i started checking the information i had available (name of the HR guy, e-mail address, travel agency, etc.) and it pointed me to this site. Thank you for posting this and helping others being scamed.
Received a similar letter today from these scammers. It was well written, seemed authentic. I searched the guy's name and found this site. Three pages, similar to posters above.

Hello to everybodies. I'm writing from Italy
Unfortunatelly I have been cheated.
I have answered to a job offer, posted on Linkedin; I supposed the advertisement was reliable.
After few days I've been contacted by mail, with the info to be shortilsted for the "Senior Project Manager role"
THe same scheme I have read above, the Company delegates Crystal Travels to arrange all the documents and tickets ( including VISA and others), asking a preventive payment of GBP 1129, 73.
After a pair of days of unsureness, I answered and agreed with the path, sending all my data and the receipt of the money transfer for the trip and accomodation. A new request of money by this "Company" has alerted me, so I called and mailed to TOTAL, receiving the answer it was a fraud, already done in the past. I'm operating the complaint to the Italian Police.
Be alerted ! I'll try to help Italian and British Police to discover these people, who jokes with human good faith and troubles.
