I needed to find an International Shipper to bring my folks' stuff back to ***. It was a hassle, but after talking to a bunch of other companies, I chose Transparent International. They weren't the cheapest, but they had the best service that I was looking for.

Transparent International is the real deal! Their team, from the secretaries to the logistics and shipping managers, are top-notch. They made my move from *** to PR a breeze. I got updates on my shipment's whereabouts from start to finish, including the partners involved in pickup and delivery. These guys are one of the best in the game. My experience with Transparent International has been terrible, and it's still going on. I signed up for their moving service from *** to ***, , and my shipping was supposed to be picked up on 6/14, my moving date. It's been over 4 months, and I still haven't received my boxes. The customer experience was terrible from the pickup, which was delayed for 3 weeks after multiple calls back and forth. It really messed up my moving plan. Even after the pickup, I'm still waiting for updates from an agent, and I have no idea when I'll get my boxes.

Transparent International is not good at all. They were supposed to move my stuff from the UK to the USA in 8 weeks, but it took almost 4 months! They got my things from customs on June 29th, but I still don't have them. When I ask when they'll arrive, they don't give me a straight answer. They just say "maybe July 26th, but who knows?" I have to keep asking for updates because they don't tell me anything. They don't seem to care about me or my stuff. It's very unprofessional.

This company is not trustworthy. I've lived in over 10 countries and when I moved to ***, I needed help shipping my things. A man named *** from Transparent International contacted me and promised the best support and price. I trusted him and paid them more than $*** to move my things. They kept asking for more money and didn't show up on the days they promised to pick up my things. They charged me over $3000 just to pack some of my things that I had already packed myself. After 9 months, my things finally arrived, but many things were missing (7 boxes of kitchen items, including a Le Creuset cooking set worth $***) and many things were broken (including my retro *** coffee table). When I asked them to cover the damages, they said I didn't have insurance and could only offer $350, which I rejected. Don't trust this company, especially if you're moving to ***.

This company is not good. I had a bad experience with them and it seems like other people have too. They always blame the customer for everything. I only had a piano and some boxes to move, but they messed it up. They said they were experts in moving pianos, but the two guys who showed up didn't seem to know what they were doing. I had to hire someone else to prepare the piano because they didn't do it right. When I called to complain, they didn't help me and just offered to cancel the contract. But I couldn't do that because I had to move out of my house soon. They also charged me way more than they said they would. They said it was all inclusive, but then they added more charges later. They even charged me for extra volume, even though they said they wouldn't. They also knew I was sick and didn't have a lot of money, but they still charged me a lot. They made me sign an agreement not to post negative reviews online if I wanted to get my piano and belongings back. It was not fair.

I've been dealing with Transparent International for a shipment from *** to ***. All I want is a date for them to deliver my shipment, but I can't seem to get them to commit to a date or give me any information. They gave me a timeline at the beginning of June that said it would take 2-4 weeks, but it's been 8 weeks now and I'm still waiting for them to respond to my requests for information. They're not very professional about this and it's really frustrating. They did give me some vague responses at first, like "your shipment is heading to somewhere near Alabama." But because they can't give me reliable information, I've had to pay extra costs. I just want a delivery date or a full refund.

We asked to talk to a manager a bunch of times, but they said no manager was around. We have to find another way to get our stuff. We want it now.

I hired Transparent International to move me to Canada. They were supposed to move me on May 26th, but they didn't finish in one day. I asked what would happen if they didn't finish in one day, and they said they would come back the next day. Two guys showed up, and I told them to come back on Thursday at 10. No one showed up on Thursday, even after I called five times. I was told varying times during the day, but no one showed up. They said they were booked on Friday, and there is no moving in or out of my building on weekends and holidays. They said they were booked on Tuesday and Wednesday, so I insisted they come on Tuesday. I packed the entire kitchen, which I paid for, but it wasn't done. We almost didn't finish on Tuesday. Now they want to charge me $7,000 more, which is $18,000 total. The poor packing drove up the costs.

I'm really upset with this company, they're so dishonest
I'm really upset with this company, they're so dishonest. I paid $4850 upfront for a quote of 496cf. They kept telling me that I'd get a refund for any extra volume paid for. They said it would take 6-8 weeks to deliver, but no more than 12 weeks. Then they asked for $485 cash tip for the movers (10%). The movers arrived on March 15th and I signed a packing document stating 458cf. When I asked for a refund of the difference ($371), Transparent refused and said "No variance reported". They also charged me an extra $240 for hidden costs, including $90 for a mirror box (even though the mirror only cost $80) and 2 x $70 TV boxes (even though I didn't ship any TVs). They even threatened to withhold my items and charge me for storage in their invoice emails.
Finally, my items were delivered on August 5th, over 20 weeks later. Transparent kept making excuses about COVID and "steamship line delays". But I have proof that my items were loaded into the container on June 29th, which was 15 weeks after they collected them. When the delivery men in Ireland arrived, they confirmed that the document stated 458cf.
To make matters worse, numerous items were damaged and some were even missing. But Transparent still refused to admit the actual volume and said "No variance reported".

They kept lying to me about the price of my move and didn't wanna work with me when I found out I didn't need as much space as they originally quoted me. And get this, most of the actual moving was done by other companies, not Transparent like they said it would be. After I paid, they promised to contact me within a week to confirm the volume and give me a refund, but then they changed their story and said I'd have to wait until after delivery. And don't even get me started on the lack of updates and customer service. When I finally did get in touch with them, they tried to say I had more stuff than I actually moved and that I owed them more money. And to top it all off, my stuff arrived all beat up with a broken TV and PC. Not cool, Transparent. Not cool.

I hired Transparent International to move all my stuff from Cali to ***, *** on August 26th. On October 9th, I went to *** Morbihan *** at the Demeco site to peep the unloading of the container Transparent International #*** I sent from *** to ***, on August 26th. Sadly, during the unloading process, the Demeco movers team and me found out that the container that had been assigned had a hole on the back top of the ceiling and that a part of my load had been flooded. I couldn't do a formal visual inspection, but I could measure that one antique furniture has been flooded, 3 boxes of linen/bedding have also been flooded and were totally soaked and damaged (Mold). Also, some additional damages appeared at the unloading: One broken blue box and its content (To be verified) and the wheels of my garden cart have been smashed due to a too heavy load on it. Demeco and I took several pictures to document the damages and I filed a claim to the insurance WTI I had contracted with for an amount of 2000US$ and a coverage of 30 000 $. Since then, I had to send the same documents again and again to different people. Finally, I received an answer a week ago, letting me know I won't receive any compensation for the damage. Despite the deductible of 500US$, I requested a waiving of that amount due to the mistake of the Company I trusted and did not take good care of my belongings.

We hired Transparent International in October to move our stuff from one place to another. We paid them $22,500 before they boxed up our things. They boxed up our things on October 23rd. In November, we called them to ask when our stuff would arrive, but they said there were problems at the port and they couldn't deliver our stuff yet. We talked to them a lot after that, but it was always the same answer. They finally said they would deliver our stuff on December 14th. But on December 13th, they sent us a bill for $5,433.75 plus $45 for wiring. We paid it right away, but our stuff didn't arrive because it takes 24 hours for the payment to go through. So they sent us another bill for $690 plus $45 for wiring for 4 more days of storage. We paid it and they said they would deliver our stuff on December 17th. But the truck they hired to pick up our stuff didn't arrive on time, so they couldn't deliver it. They finally delivered our stuff on December 22nd. We asked them what ship our stuff was on and for the bill of lading, but they haven't given us that information. The Port of Houston charges $29/day for storage, but Transparent is charging us over $170/day (including their 15% Admin fee). Our story was on Channel 2 in *** on December 27th.
