trendnet teg-s16d switch rma process
I had this switch 1 month when the Gigabit connections started dropping. After 2 months this unit died completely. Getting an RMA through their tech support took more time than the product is worth. This device is cheaply made. It's true you get what you pay for. I purchased a NetGear switch to replace this piece of junk.
After three days I got an answer to my RMA request. They want me to pay the shipping to return their defective piece of junk what a lousy company. I am going to cut my loses and just throw the switch in the garbage (which is what I'm sure TrendNet counts on by making their RMA process so impossible to deal with). Do Not Buy This Device!
Why do they require the purchaser to pay shipping to return a defective product?
RMA# RA-1070375
Very dishonest company
I had a problem with my router which I bought from TrendNet. Many times a day Internet just disappeared and sometimes it even did not allow connection to Internet at all. I contacted TrendNet and asked for help and they said that it would cost me some extra to fix it. They said that it would cost me about $70. I agreed, but then I received another call and said that the actual cost was $100! What a terrible and dishonest company! Do not deal with TrendNet!
Poor Quality and False Advertising
Trendnet is notorious for false advertising in its offering of a false payment of rebate by mail. If a customer submits this rebate, it WILL NOT BE PAID!
On top of offering the lowest quality product on the market today, they also have a "help" dessk staff who are non-technical, having no knowledge whatsoever of computers or networking. They will read from a script given to them, if you are able to understand them in the first place.
Don't fall for the offer of the mail-in rebate. They will immediately turn you down and tell you to prove your claim by sending in photo copies of the same submission forms and receipts. After sending those in, customers will again be turned away and be told to resubmit yet again. Finally, they will be denied altogether with some flimsy excuse of non-qualifying purchase or for excessive claims made.
The fact is, Trendnet lures customers to buy their worthless products, which are the lowest quality products in the market today, by offering a mail-in rebate, bringing the price closer to what prices should be for trendnet junk. I was suckered into their BS rebate offer and found the hype about their company to be true: Trendnet LIES and they cannot be trusted.
Don't do busines with this farce of a corporation. There are MANY better companies out there offering top quality merchandise and who will HONOR agreements made.
The complaint has been investigated and resolved to the customer’s satisfaction.
I am having three Trendnet WiFi/Wireless Cameras. One is never working correctly. They replaced it with ANOTHER failing camera and now they do not respond to my emails.
I will now dump this camera and move on to a company which responds to customers concerns - Linksys

Rebate scam
BE AWARE STAY AWAY FROM TRENDNET REBATES!
Below average product. Average to poor performance and the WORST rebate offer ever!.
I bought my router TEW-432BRP and USB adaptor on Boxing Day 2006. It's now Aug 2008. Never receive my rebate. Sick and tired to deal with those outsourcing rebate people. Just do a quick search under TRENDENET rebate fiasco. You'll find hundreds of customers like me being literally robbed by TRENDNET and the company in charge to deal with the rebates. Their favourite line "INCOMPLETE SUBMISSION -UPC CODES MISSING" Really? I literally staple them along with my rebate forms. Spend a little more and buy a well know brand D-Link or Linksys you can be wrong with them.
