I had a service call done to change out a water softener tank late last year. A 20 year old male shows up and wheeled out a replacement tank out of his’ van and brought it downstairs to replace it.
After disconnecting and rolling it to the side, I told him to wait, while I mopped up the access water from the lines being disconnected.
After which he grabbed the tank that he just took out and continued to hook it back up!
I told him he is installing the wrong tank!
At that point in time, he grabbed the replacement tank and hooked it up without using pipe dope or thread tape. So it leaked. He said it would stop on its own after awhile. Now it leaks worse. They are now charging me $161.97 (WITH TAX) according to Matthew, for a service call only. đź‘Žđź‘Ž
Claimed loss: Charge for service call with TAX?
Desired outcome: Should have been done correctly to begin with!
