I saw a advertisment for sensa on the computer that looked good, and they said try sensa free for thirty days and if it doesn't work send it back for a refund so I did, I called them to cancel after two week and the rep said to give it a little more time and then if it doesn't work call and cancel, so I gave it a little time and it just didn't work for me, now I take care of my mom who has alzheimers and it keeps me busy, anyway I forgot about calling and cancelling the sensa until I got my credit card bill, then I called them right away to cancel sensa and they wouldn't let me they said it was because it was past the thirty days, I told them what happen, and that I still have the product in it's original package ready to be sent back to them, they still wouldn't refund my money, I told them that I never authorized that charge of $98.72 that they never sent me anything reminding me that the time was going to be up in a few days and that they were going to charge my credit card, which put me $109.00 over my credit card limit. I think they are unfair, and they take advantage, they take advantage of someone forgetting or something, they would not return my money! It is unfair, what does it matter if I return it then or now? it has been sitting in a box I only used barely any of one container there is still another one unopen. THEY ARE MAKING ME PAY FOR A PRODUCT THAT DID NOT WORK FOR ME ! And they say they guarantee the product will work, and it didn't for me, so I should get a refund on just that, their guarantee!

I've gotta say, I, m not convinced the company is the one at fault here. You knew that if you failed to call and get the order stopped before the given date the money would be removed from the designated account. My opinion is also that the first time you called to return the product, it is your own fault if you allowed yourself to be convinced by the SALES rep to 'give it a little longer'. After all, it is their job to get you to pay them. They also cannot be expected to pay for the fact that you forgot to call back for WHATEVER the reason. It's unfortunate that these products are usually set up to be sold this way, but in this case I don't think the company is to blame, after all, they are a BUSINESS out to turn a profit.

Although I agree in concept with BethanyLynn, I do empathize with you IngI96. It's unfortunate that you get penalized for being nice or non-confrontational in today's culture. If your original request is to cancel, they should honor that instead of attempting to persuade you to let it get closer to the no-cancel date.

Therre is this angle - If it may take up to two-weeks for the product to start working, then they should disclose that on the packaging before starting you on the trial period. Failure to do so conceivably opens the door for a misrepresentation of the product.

If, on the other hand, the product should work right away and doesn't need two weeks, then their request to give it more time is baseless and only serves to create another roadblock to your cancellation request (now you have to remember twice to call them and cancel - wth?). That's predatory, unfair, however you wanna spin it.

Best to you, if you can't convince them to refund, I'd think your only recourse is reporting them to the BBB, which I tend to think is about as useful as a snow scraper in Yuma.

I agree with the complainant. Sensa is very unethical in their business practice. I called and canceled but they have "no record" of my call. So I canceled after I was charged on-line to have the documentation to prove I canceled. To trial this type of product in 30 days is ridiculous- it is a means to an end...the almighty dollar! I have heard many complaints against this company but yet they continue with their practice of ripping off the consumer so I have taken my complaint as well to the companies they have pictured on their web site. I would encourage anyone else to do so as well.

I tried it and I must admit, I was hoping it would work as promised. Unfortunately, it didn't. It did NOTHING! Well, it did eventually make my debit card loose some weight. About $98.72 to be exact. When they tried to reduce the weight of that debit card another $98.72, I took that card off the Sensa Diet! Just another, "You knew the terms of the free trial" scam. How pathetic. What a business plan THAT is!

Your credit card company should assist you with this matter, anytime you are dissatisfied with a product or did not receive a product within your means or the way it was advertised you have the right as a consumer to notify your creditor. You can file it as a disputed or unauthorized charge and go from there. I hate the fact of the pay your shipping get the product free offers because the consumer does not know that they have signed up for an auto ship program and the thing that pisses me off is that they auto ship the product before 30 days elapse.

I got a nasty call from some chick on this same topic. She was calling cause they couldnt bill me as I had given them a card with only a limited amount of funds on it, which I regularily use for online purchases.

I told her I was not sending a damn thing, as I didnt plan to use it more, as I hadnt seen any results.!

I received sensa and when I saw that the 30 day free trial was a 60 day pay plan I sent it back. Two momths later my credit card was charged 89.88 and I am astill fighting with them to get it back. I am now going to contact the U.S. Secret Service t report credit card fraud and the Attorney General in Ohio to report
marketing fraud.

I am sorry you all have had bad luck with Sensa, I did just order the product. and I read all of the fine print. It is specific in saying you must have a RMA number from them to return. That is your proof that you contacted them. It is emaild to you and date and time stamped. As consumers you should know, nothing is free. Do your homework before you agree to buy something for free. Never use your Debit Card for purchases. If they sent you a 60 day trial, did you follow the instructions. and use it as intended. three meals a day. If you are obese, it is not going to come off in 30 or 60 days, it took longer to put it on why would you think it would come off as easily. Be realistic. If you do not want to pay for weight loss do your self a favor and put down the sweets, and pick up a carrot if you must snack in between meals. Good luck in you quest to loose weight. and Do your homework before you purchase a free poduct.

I have diabetes, and other physical problems and have been advised not to tkae this

problems as those mentioned above I will also write them a letter explaining my
circumstances and tell them not to charge my charge card as I am returning the
samples after having received it a day ago.

I hope this nsettles the problem for me as I do not intend to pay $9.98 or anything else
since tomorrow the whole package will be returned and I will have writt4en proof it was

While I empithize with the original poster, the fact that they did not cancel in the alloted time frame isn't the companies fault, while the sales rep may have "requested" the product be given more time, it's ultimately up to the consumer to decide if they are willing to or not.

Having said that, if anyone truly feels they were "taken for a ride" by this company, and can't get satisfaction from them, dispute any and all charges with your credit card company/bank, more often then not they will help you out and reverse the charges.

I should have checked all the complaints befored I agreed to a Free sample of Try Sensa. I only learned at the end of the process that I had been "suckered in" and would be charged for a 60$ supply perhaps before the end of the free sample period. I am still on my computer after being "suckered" and I am tryin to cancel this fradulent offer. I cannot find a way to stop (cancel) this process after filling out all the information. When I recieve the so called FREE Sensa, I will do things. Today is Saturday 1/8/11 and on Monday 1/10/11 I will contact my bank and arrange to have them refuse to honor the charge, and any other charges, to my debit card when they receive it. I won't make this mistake again. Always be sure to check out the complaints before you get "hooked" into paying for something other than the FREE offer. I will also contact the BBB and report this . In addition, as soon as I get the package, I will immediately send it back certified mail. This comment will act as proof that I tried to cancel this offer as soon as I found out that I had been snookered.

The company is not at fault. I have not tried Sensa but the Terms and Conditions are clearly spelled out. You did not call within the thirty days. The company is not required to "remind" you that the thirty days are almost up. I am sorry the product did not work for you, but how did a $98 charge put your credit card overlimit by $109? Your problem is of your own making.

i just dont understand how the first person expects the product to work if she or he says they "barely used the product", he or she said they tried once to cancel in the 30 day period and were asked to give it more time, so how much time did thye originally give it...2 weeks? its not a miracle! it says on their website that it can take up to two months which leads me to my next point, it is stupid on the company's part to give people a two month supply and only give them a 30 day trial period! how are people suppose to see the full effects, they are just asking for ppl to return their product. it does have a whole paragraph on the ording page specificly stating you will be automaticly charged for the next supply, thats why i didnt order the "free trial". i do agree with the person above, how are they over their credit limit $109 and the payment was $98? maybe they included the first $7.95 or the $9.95 (which ever they paid) but that would mean that they didnt make their credit card payment for 2 months, which is not the companies fault.

I called to cancel the 30 day trialthe rep told me they had no order listed for my account. Than I explained I received the order so they had to have something under my account. I was told my order ID number was not enough I needed an invoice number hich I did not have. Needless to say I was charged the $89.95. I am now trying to cancel the auto-ship on my account and I have gotten no response. I cancelled the visa I used until I can clear the matter up. Cancelling with this company is very difficult.

I ordered this "free trial" also, and I think I actually paid something like $1.95, because it's never completely free anyhow.
So, I tried it and didn't like it. I never could remember to use it until it was too late. Ended up not being the product that will work for me (I'm better off sticking to low-cal diets). So, I completely forgot they would charge my c-card after the 30-day trial (Totally My Fault, of course!) So, I sort-of forgot about the darn thing. Then, today I receive another box and checked my bank account and there, staring me in the face is a HUGE charge (ridiculously over-priced for such a product) of $89.95! Wow! So, I'm scanning back into the past bank statements and realize I was also charged $89.95 for my original shipment (the free trial), and never noticed it at that time (surprising, I know).

Wow, now that I'm seeing so many of you having an impossible time getting a refund from this company, I'm not feeling too confident they will refund me anything either. I went online tonight and canceled my auto-ship & auto-draft, so at least the Madness will stop! But, now I have an unopened box, with I am assuming 4 boxes of Sensa in it, that I won't be able to return. And, I'm out $90 bux for absolutely Nothing! (well, actually I've given them $180 of my money for absolutely nothing...except this huge headache here!)

I know I should have paid more attention to the free trial offer policy, which I'm sure states I would be auto-shipped and auto-drafted if I keep my free trial longer than 30 days. But, I did not...obviously.
But, it really is unfortunate that people are being taken advantage of here, and there are sooo many companies out there that do this exact same thing. Too often, we just neglect to focus on the fine print and the hidden details and then get caught up in, well, LIFE! I don't think we should have to shell out so much wasted $$ for nothing! I mean, now that I'm looking back and thinking about the whole thing...they're taking advantage of those of us who, in a moment of desperation, actually thought we could lose a ton of weight by sprinkling something on our food, yet still eat whatever we want! Ha! Guess the naive are really easily duped!
This Sux!

I tried Sensa and it made me nausaes and dizzy. I called and canceled and they said to mail it back within 14 days> I mailed it back the next day and payed cash for the shipping . This was in Feb. I got charged on my credit card the other day March 28. I called them about it and they claim they did not receive the package. I have no receipt as I payed cash for the shipping I think they know this and want me to prove I shipped it before they credit my account. I can't so now I am stuck with paying for something I don't even have. This company is a fraud and unreliable and dishonest. I hope other people find out before it is to late.

Big scam. Heard the advert on radio, which said, ""$4.95 for 30 day trial." Took a very long time for it to arrive. I actually lost weight dieting before the package arrived. When I opened it, I discovered that, after 30 days, I will be charged $89.95! I did not even bother to try it (did not expect it to be a powder you sprinkle on food so you would eat less. Heck! If that's all it takes, I could get a cheap, over-the-counter appetite suppressant. I wanted to return it and discovered I had to pay for the return expense, which I did. I still keep getting emails from them, and, when I try to find out if my account has been cancelled, I can't get them by phone (office is always closed or I get disconnected), and can't find out by their web site. I cancelled the credit card in case they do try to bill it.

Sensa kept running my debt card through, even after getting their return RMA# they require useing on their packages being returned and the program was cancelled a week ahead of time, with some credits to my account, but they still charged my account again, costing me over $300. in debit card fees, that the bank won't do anything about either. I hope these complaints and the Attorney Generals in all these states, act upon this rip off company, and includes them in a civil lawsuit of some kind, and we can ALL hang them out to dry. I have contacted them, but they don't care. And I told them by phone and email, I will continue to rip their worthless a--es until I'm refunded all my costs, they know how to get a hold of me.

hi...my name is Lindy and I have no complaints...I just started my Sensa this morning, July 13, Wednesday...wish me luck...I do, however, want to say...if everyone would take the time to read all the sensa material, there would be many less complaints..I read a very silly one which I would not refund. to pay CASH for a return and NOT get a return receipt? To do what she did was totally Dumb...she is either
stupid or trying to get back money which is not hers. I don't think anyone can be that stupid ..then again?...I do think, however, she is the
dishonest one...

Forget about these dumb scam offers. I went to GNC and purchased Sensa from them for a discount of $69 and I tried it for 2 weeks and returned the entire product and got all my money back. No questions asked. It was the same product for $89.99 that they are offering and that is NOT a discount rate as they say. Just stick to a 1500 calorie diet, eat healthy and exercise and you WILL lose weight. All Sensa does is trick your body into thinking it's full so you eat less. Does it make sense to tell you you can always eat whatever you want just sprinkle some powder on your food the rest of your life and you will be thin? Once you stop, you still have the bad habits and will just gain the weight back, plus more. This should be called "No Sensa".

I feel for that the original complaintant in that with the first call they did not receive a refund as promised by the company but for those of you still willing to try the product I recommend you purchase it from a local GNC. Second, if you have a medical conditions, as with any product, check with your physician before using. Also, all of the Sensa correspondence advises up front that it may take a while before users see any results. That being said, users of Sensa or any weight loss product must take responsibility for their weight loss experience (e.g., make healthy food choices, eat smaller portions, and incorporate some exercise into your daily routine) because no weight loss product will magically make the weight fall off..., you have got to put in the work!

Sensa is advertised as 30 days free BUT at check out they let you know you will be billed for the free period. That is false advertising. Thirty days free is free, this is no more than a delayed billing. Also, I called immediately and could not get through. They claim they will call me back. I don't want this first shipment, if they lie about the billing, they will lie about the product. I want out. Someone needs to answer the phone! I have no intention to pay, credit card will be cancelled, bank has been notified. What a scam.

To whom it may concern.
On 3/15/11 we received the Sensa’s weight loss package for 30 days free trial. /TV/

After a few day, my wife did not feel comfortable her stomach with it, so we decided to send it back the unused parts in original boxes.
I tried four times unsuccessfully to gain RMA number. /put me on hold, no access, ../
On 4/2/11, I did send back the package in “insured mail’ to the main address. See attached copy of the shipment.
Certainly, I stopped the bank card for the payment. /Trust?/
On my surprise, Sensa Co. still claiming for a payment of $96.25 and they gave my case to the RGS Financial for collection.
The Agency called me three times. The last one by Karin from [protected].
I explained, it shows unfair business practice, false advertisement to promise free trial and make it difficult to send back the product. They have no right to claim any money, after I sent it back and I have proof on it.
Seems to be that was not convincing because, they sent me a Delinquency Notice on Sept. 14. /Please, see attached./
Please, help me to dissolve this headache and make sure another buyers do not fall for this practice.

Best regards; A, M.

My son saw the free trial for sensa he is just 16 years old.He begged me to try it. he is over weight and its an issue for him. I said ok it was a free trial and we would try it.Needles to say he lost absolutly no weight so I didnt order again. Unfortunatly i did not know I would be charged for it. They charged my bank account 89.95 and were in the process of shipping more out to me. After trying to call them for days, because you cant get through due to unusal call volumes, they finnally called me back. Sorry they said I didnt cancel . My bank was also no help to me. Its my opinion they play on people who are desperate to lose weight and scam them. They need to be stopped! I hope other people read this and think twice about ordering from them. Thanks for reading

I read this review when I was trying to find the phone number to cancel yesterday and originally was like oh no, I hope this is not going to be hard. But I never got any run around, I called and they answered and canceled it. All I have to do is send the rest back which I did right after the call and it was less than $3 at the post office. I was lucky and only needed to lose 10 pounds or so I thought and lost 12 in 25 days. I'm sure like with anything it works better with some than others but it worked for me so well that I didn't even need to continue.
My mom ordered it too she has a lot more to lose and she is at 2 weeks with 5 pounds dropped already so she already said she isn't going to cancel.
I think you are just frustrated that you can't keep track of time and are unable to make up your own mind. If you wanted to cancel you should have just said so and stuck to it. You are needlessly causing worry to others by complaining about this stuff.
so my experience is the opposite of you, i listened to the way the order was said to work, understood that I had 30 days, understood that everything works differently for everyone and that the guarantee you think you heard of it to work for everyone doesn't exist.
Pay attention next time and learn to use a calendar. If you can remember to take care of your mom then you should be able to do that too.
