I have had 3 charges on my credit card from UOL Juno Online as well as UOL Netzero Online. I do not have internet services at home. My office is already set up with internet via cable. I have contacted the company and was placed on hold for a long time. The customer service person, Saul did not know what a fraud department was. Needless to say my credit card had to be destroyed and reissued.
This is a total scam!
Some thing happened to me! For 7 months was charged, total fraud!
I have also been charged on my credit card from this outfit and I know nothing about them.
Our debit card was charged from UOL Juno, then received a welcome packet in the mail. I called them and couldn't even understand the person. She asked if we were charged for the service and I told her someone opened an account in our name, and tried charged our debit card, but we had the back stop it due to fraud. She HUNG UP ON ME! I called back again and it wanted me to enter in the phone number, the one that i just used, I got an automated recording saying sorry can't retrieve that number. So I used a different number, got through to a second person whom I could not understand AT ALL! THIS COMPANY IS A COMPLETE FRAUD!
Hi All,
Did any of you get this resolved? I've had these charges on my card for almost 2 years and didn't notice it! EXACT SAME THING. I called them and, after struggling to understand what the customer service rep was saying, they told me that someone in Harlem New York was registered with my credit card. I don't get it! Does anyone have any information that could help me in resolving this issue? VISA is doing an investigation but it could take 45 days or more, and I would like to give them any information that could help in moving this process along quicker.
I just discovered a charge from them as well, and after calling my bank it turned out they had charged me the last 3 months. I called and told them that I had no idea what they even were (when I googled UOL Juno Online, the first things that popped up where all these fraud threads). The person offered to give me credit for 2 months but I kept insisting pretty strongly and got the supervisor who reimbursed me for all three months. Obviously I cancelled the account as well. They told me that there was activity at the email address. Don't let them push you around with that fact. I told them if they investigated the ip address of whomever was using the fraudulant account they could see that it wasn't me. Anyway, I got it settled and supposedly will get my money back and I will be calling the bank to get a new card number but I can't say this doesn't un-nerve me a bit.
I just got a charge for $1 for UOL Juno online. This is an account that only has $4 on it because I was closing it anyway. It now has $3, this may be the way this fraudulent company is testing to see if the acocount is viable. Look for these odd amounts too. What in the world would they be charging someone $1, and I have never even considered or called anyone with this company. Watch out everyone.
Yep, this just happened to me too. My bank account was billed 10.95 for 2 months from UOL Juno before I figured it out. When I called Juno they tried to located my account by using my phone number but the phone number wasn't on file. They didn't have my address on file either but were able to locate the account using the debit card number. I cancelled my card and disputed the charges. So weird. I can't imagine what's going on here.
Same thing happened to me. Fortunately, I knew exactly what charges were supposed to be my credit card so when the statement balance was higher than expected I investigated the matter and found the charge from Juno. I called them and had them cancel the account and credit the $14.95 charge back to my card. I'd like to know how the devil they got my information (especially my credit card number) in the first place! This company should be investigated!
A mi me paso lo mismo pero a diferencia que yo ni siquiera vivo en Estados Unidos, soy de Colombia, estos desgraciados estan robando en todo el mundo y nadie los para
