I was referred by someone who always go to Lariah Smith. Paid $200 for a “silk press”! The pic with emoji is how my hair looked 32 mins after leaving her shop. While I was sitting I told her I didn’t like but instead of her saying we can do a braid down or something else since it’s clearly not working she told me she think I’ll like it once I get dolled up. Wow! Not to mention, you’re the licensed cosmetologist, not me. So I didn’t know if a silk press would work for me or not but damn sure didn’t have money to waste to find out after the fact. I’ve went on Sola Salon website and see that they do have steps as to how to handle situations like this but of course it’s always the young African American trying to get over! You’re so Godly but you took money from someone knowing the service I asked for wasn’t given! It was proof before I left! Not to mention, I tried to be cordial; I called to even talk after noticing I was either blocked or just not getting a response! On the call she had the audacity to mention that we both knew how my hair was. I’m not a stylist and no nothing about hair which I told you while sitting in your chair so I don’t understand why wouldn’t you tell me that my hair type couldn’t hold a silk press prior to completing whatever the service I paid for bc it sure wasn’t a silk press. After speaking with other stylists, it’s not a such thing as a certain hair type not being able to be straighten! “She just didn’t know what she was doing!” & your work shows from natural hair to wig installs! I just wish I would’ve looked at all her platforms before seeing one person hair thinking she would get mine the same! Don’t recommend her at all, and my main reason is bc of the Unprofessionalism; along with others: paid for a silk press that I never had, my hair is currently in a ponytail and the ends are a mess but I paid for that too (trim)! I appreciated her for taking the time on my hair but I mean what did you really do that’s proof, a block of blonde? That’s it, that’s all!
