Maaco Franchise - Not told about non-refundable deposit

On Friday May 13th, 2022 I took my truck to the Macco dealership on 65th Street in Little Rock, AR. It was on a Friday afternoon and once the man that gave me my estimate he asked me if I wanted to put a Deposit down on the work that was going to be done the next week. Not one time did he ever mention to me that the deposit was a non-refundable deposit. If he would have told me that to start out with I never would have given any money down that day simply because it was a Friday and I was told to just go ahead and take my truck home and bring it back to them on Monday morning at 8:30 am. There is no way I would have put a non-refundable deposit down knowing I would be driving my truck all weekend long and nobody knows when they are going to have an accident or total my truck out or even blow the motor up waiting on Monday morning to get here. If any of those things would have happened I would have expected to be given a refund. Instead I had a true family emergency and ended up not being able to go through with the paint job and when I called the dealership that Monday morning Then I was told that my deposit was non-refundable. When I told them that they never told me anything about a non-refundable deposit the man that gave me my estimate got on the phone and even admitted to me that he had forgot to tell me anything about that part of the deal. Then the General Manager of the store got on the phone and when I told him that I was never told anything about a non-refundable deposit he said it was a Macco Store Policy. I told the GM that I had to go out of state on a family emergency and I needed my deposit back because I was not going to be able to have the work done on my truck he started acting like he could not hear me and said he was going to hang up and call me back immediately. Well to no surprise he failed to call me back and about 5 hours later he sent me a text telling me that he was getting my paperwork together and would be calling me shortly. Needless to say the GM lied that time to and I have not recieved a phone call back from anyone at Macco since. After a couple days go by I started trying to research how to file a complaint and that's when I found a website where channel 7 news in Little Rock, Arkansas had posted on the internet that as of March of 2022 there was currently over 60 filed complaints against the Macco Dealership on 65th Street in Little Rock Arkansas. Now it's been over a month since the incident and I have filed a complaint with the Better Business Bureau and now here on this site and still not a word from the General Manager except for a few derragatory statements and lies from the GM to me via Text Message which I have saved to my phone.

Desired outcome: My desired and after the way I have been treated I deserve my full deposit back due to the circumstances.
