On April 2, 2016, I went into Academy Bank located in Apache Junction, Arizona, in side of Walmart Super store on Main street. I had a check for $961.60. I asked the teller to cash the check and give me $60 and deposit the remainder...$901.60. The manager was sitting with a gentleman at that time (9:05am), and asked the trainee to start the process with me. The trainee was unable to log in so the manager call somewhere and they reset the trainee's credentials. She was able to log in but not dispense funds as she didn't have a drawer. The manager gave me the $60 out of her drawer. I left, paid bills over the phone and shopped. Tuesday i checked to see how much money i had in the bank as i partied the weekend. I was $933 in the red! I called customer service and asked if she could tell me what happened in my account. The representative begin to name the charges against my account, i stopped her and asked about my deposit of $901.60. There was no trace of my check. The representative called the bank, the manager said the check was not scanned or entered into my account. I was also charged $125 for insufficient funds. The check was located, posted on 04/05/2016; however due to the $125 fee i was still in the red for $32.38. I needed gas to go to work but the branch manager refused to reverse the fee until the next day. The representative spoke to her, then her manager and was told its the branch managers call since it was their error. I would like the fee reversed and the $60 i could have made if i was able to go to work.
