I purchased two pairs of Vans for $49.99 and a pair of sandals for $34.99. I used a $10 off of $75 or more purchased coupon on the purchase. I returned the sandals and a portion of the $10 coupon credit ($2.60) I had received for my original purchase was charged against the return of the sandals. Why? I purchased the required minimum amount stated in the coupon with the Vans alone. Addressing it with several Journeys reps resolved nothing with one stating the system did it and another stating that I should have returned all three pairs of shoes in order to have the return performed on the entire purchase and the purchase re-rung to receive the full $10 coupon credit. Why would I do that if the Vans fit? Their response:
We apologize for any confusion regarding your refund, as the $10 for the coupon code was divided among the three styles that were purchased. Since $2.60 was deducted from the Men's Vans Slide On Checkerboard Sandals, you were only charged $32.39, plus tax which is why this was the amount refunded for the return, plus the $2.53 in tax for a refund total of $34.92.

They couldn't comprehend that I met the minimum $75 purchase amount to receive the full $10 coupon credit so the $2.60 should never have been charged to me (taken away) with the sandals being returned; the purchase still totaled $99.98 with the Vans alone.
