On Sunday November 12th, 2023 at approximately 4:30pm I went to the Big 5 store (#057) to purchase 9mm target load ammunition. When I arrived, one of the store representatives told me he was not authorized to sell me the ammunition. The representative also told me the store manager is the only person, at that store, who was authorized to sell me the ammo. The rep said the manager would return to the store in one hour. However, when I returned to the store one hour later, the rep I first spoke with was gone and the manager did not return to the store. The other reps in the store also told me they were not authorized to sell me the ammunition I wanted to purchase and were either unable or unwilling to tell me when the manager would return to the store. The second set of reps were NOT rude, but I was upset. My complaint stems from the previous representative telling me to return to the store in one hour when the store manager would be available, and said manager still was not available to help me make the purchase. Also, the remaining representatives did not attempt to contact the store manager by phone to inquire about when he would be returning to the store, so I could make the purchase.
Claimed loss: I lost Time and Gasoline Money.
Desired outcome: I DON'T WANT any outcome. I only wanted to make a record of the bad customer service I received from the Big 5 store I've patronized for many years.
