Today, I was taking my antibiotic and noticed that that one tablet was smaller than the other in my prescription bottle.
I put it in a plastic bag and took it and the prescription bottle to the pharmacy.
The odd pill DID come out of my latest prescription. She was slow to accept my explanation.
The clerk took the tablet in the plastic bag back to someone - I assume the pharmacist. The clerk
came back telling me that the pill in the plastic bag, I had been prescribed before. almost as if I
had taken the 'old' pill from before (and I don't recall having that med before ) I am so upset, I
was nearly in tears waiting for them to make their decision. I am SO concerned about the infection I have in my toe.
I've been Doctoring for it for a few months and I certainly would not play any
games, bringing in an odd pill. The clerk did bring back my bottle, saying there was a correct
pill put in the bottle. NO apology - I certainly felt awful - like they didn't believe me. WHY
would I do such a stupid thing, drive over to Walgreens to get a pill - I just wanted the right
one. IF the medicine wasn't so expensive, I wouldn't have gone to that effort. I could have
waited until I got a refill and do it a day or so before I ran out.
I think it's time to find another pharmacy. NOT hard to locate- there are so many around.
I know, it's 'only' one tablet, but their attitude was anything but nice. AS if I was the
one that did the mix-up. The odd pill had a chip off the corner. I am unable to read what all
is on there. What I can make out is WATSO, I would imagine it is WATSON, as I've had
that name before and under the WATSO - is 349
Thank you
