Incident: My husband wanted to treat our family including my 80 year old mother in law to an Olive Garden dinner for Mother's Day 5/10/2020. Olive Garden is my mother in laws favorite Restaurant, and she hasn't been able to have it since the COVID-19 Lock down so she was really looking forward to it. We called at 12 noon, placed our order in, and asked if we could pick it up by 4:30. Well, my husband and I went to the Pittsburg Olive Garden to pick it up and there was a MOB full of people waiting outside to pick up their orders. It looked so Disorganized, no one was social distancing, there was no manager in sight out telling everyone what to do, or where to stand. She would pop in and out a couple of times, then go back in, Not saying anything to any of us. We waited in our car for about an hour "because I called and told the staff inside that we were there, and they said they would bring it to our car when it was ready. We got there right at 4:30. We waited till 5:15 in our car so I called again, and they told me it was just being made. We waited an hour more, then decided to wait outside with all the other people. There were people there waiting for orders that were supposed to be done at 2pm, and didn't get their meals till well after 5pm. Long story short, and watching all the chaos, I finally got our dinner in my hands at 8:45pm. My Mother's Day was spent waiting from 4:30pm-8:45pm to get food. It was Terrible. not only that, the only reason I even got my meal when I finally did was another customer was pointing to all these bags that had been sitting on tables for hours and asking why was no one bringing those out to people, so a employee finally looked at them and that's when I got mine. To make the situation worse, Our food was cold. Everything. When I got home we had to heat everything up in the microwave. I would have said forget the food, and leave hours prior, but we paid ahead of time and it was $143.32 plus %15 tip. $165 ... I would like to get our money refunded please. I'm am also attaching a photo of the mob of people I stood with all that time. I just have to add that I have worked in Retail for over 25 years and have NEVER seen so much Disorganization at any business, I even took in consideration that it was mothers day and it might be really busy, But come on, Olive garden knew pick up dining would be very busy on a holiday and should have been organized, and prepared with staff, food, etc. I hope this gets to someone who reads this, and has a hand in making it better for this Location or it will definitely be the last time we eat at Olive Garden.
