Petco

Regarding Petco located at 3901 Inglewood Avenue in Redondo Beach, CA, they give poor information regarding newborn kittens. I am a foster mom of many years for kittens, from birth to 8 weeks. Have noted employees at this location try to give dry food to customers with nursing kittens who know nothing about kitten care. I have had to intervene numerous times to explain about KMR and nursing, stimulation to make a tiny kitten wee or defecate, how to keep them warm as well as how to check for dehydration. The employees look bored and try to get me to leave but I will not allow a [censored] with no experience give erroneous information. A kitten could die from an employee's lack of experience. Also, last visit a few days ago noted a sick parakeet sitting on the floor of its enclosure. It was puffed up with slits for eyes. I pointed out to a female employee with half her head shaved that she had a sick bird and she was completely unconcerned. This behavior of all the employees at the Redondo Beach location is not surprising. The manager should be ashamed...
