Made a reservation for a class in San Diego. While checking in I was informed I was not allowed to stay at the hotel. When asked about it they stated I was banned but could not provide details. Called customer relations and was told its up to the general manager but would not tell me who, what, or why I was banned. How can I resolve an issue with no information? Basically told by customer service that they can't override an issue because they don't have any info.
Desired outcome: How to find out why I have an action against me and corporate can't find out why.

I’m dealing with the exact same problem, but I actually checked in on the 3rd of this month and then five days later at 7am the front desk woke me up out of the blue and told me I was on The Do Not Rent List and they made me pack up and leave! They gave me no explanation and no information whatsoever. The last time I stayed at an Extended Stay was back in 2021, so I called that location and they told me I owed them $1400! When I asked for an itemized receipt or invoice I discovered I was charged for 21 additional days after I checked out! And then on the 22nd day the outstanding balance was just “written off as a bad debt” — nobody ever called me or made any attempt to collect this alleged debt, so I offered to pay it (just to get off the stupid list) but they laughed in my face. Their documents show my final payment was October 5, 2021 and I have a lease agreement showing I moved into my apartment on October 6, 2021, and my landlord can corroborate that. I’m not sure what the hell is going on here but I feel terribly wronged and I don’t know who to contact; guest relations told me the same thing they told you — “So sorry, can’t help you, call the front desk.” Needless to say I’m extremely upset.
