Time of incident: around 230pm, 4th quarter of saints and cardinals nfl football game
Reason for complaint: "evil" rated r horrific tv show preview during nfl football game
Description:
I am a mother of a sweet and innocent 4 year old boy and I am furious about the television movies and shows that are being previewed during nfl football games. I have had enough of it. Football is and always has been a family event and is family entertainment. Whoever set the line-up of rated r horror films and violent shows and movies to be previewed by families with young children needs to be fired! These previews are severely harming the minds of our youth. It is extremely disappointing that my husband and I can't even watch a football game in peace because we are too worried about what commercials will come on during breaks. Someone needs to get it together.
Today we viewed one of the most horrific, evil and violent commercials we have ever seen on tv. You probably won't be surprised that the show is called "evil". I have attached the link to this tv series below.
This show is rated r and the preview that we were trying to cover our sons eyes was of an evil and scary man in a mask stabbing someone.
Cbs, what is wrong with you and why is this movie being previewed on sunday during a family entertainment event? You are ridiculous!

I 100% agree with you. This same commercial showed during NFL football on Sunday January 12, 2020. I sent this, hopefully, to CBS last night:
“The commercial for your program Evil during last Sunday's NFL football playoff games is disgusting. As avid sports enthusiasts we sit down to watch and promote sports to our young children. Only to hear " You have three daughters and I am going to kill everyone of them and then I am going to burn down your house."
Really, is this what young children should see during a sporting event? So now, we have to sit there and make sure one of us can change the station as soon as one of your commercials come on. Or hurry and drag them out of the room, cover their ears and eyes. If, by chance, we weren't right by their side to intervene, we now have to try to explain and erase from their vulnerable young minds that no one is coming to kill them and burn down our house. Surely you can find another one of your programs to promote during what should be a family event on a Sunday afternoon. It's just plain "evil".
TO CBS: I WILL DO MY BEST NOT TO WATCH ANY COMMERCIALS ON CBS DUE TO THE ABOVE. I HOPE YOU WILL NEVER GET TO BROADCAST SUPERBOWL AND THE NFL WILL GO ELSEWHERE TO SHOW THEIR GAMES.
