A Mix of Quality Content and Room for Improvement
As someone deeply invested in the sports world, I've explored the offerings of CBS Sports. The platform provides a diverse range of sports coverage, from NFL football to college basketball. I appreciate the detailed player info and live scoring updates. However, there are areas that could use enhancement. Some reviewers express concerns about certain commentators, like Tony Romo, impacting their viewing experience negatively. It seems there's a divide in opinions regarding the quality of commentary. Additionally, there are mentions of disparities in coverage between men's and women's sports, indicating a need for more equitable representation. Despite these drawbacks, CBS Sports remains a valuable resource for sports enthusiasts seeking up-to-date news and stats. It's a platform with potential for growth and improvement to cater to a wider audience.
Customer service is awesome
Great site for sports. Customer service is getting better for CBS Sports as well this past year. Definitely recommend it to anyone
Best Fantasy Site!
Best fantasy site hands down! The fantasy leagues are so customizable that it is stupid to not pay the money for the features it has. Anything from draft and draft order, waiver, free agents, scoring system. I could go on for days. Customer service is getting better for CBS Sports as well this past year.
-

Background noise watching basketball a headache
The background noise is so loud on the basketball games that it drowns out the commentators. One actually has to try to block out the noise to try to listen in on what they are trying to say. Makes the whole thing just a headache. There should be an option to remove the announcers or turn down the background noise. I literally was at the game, came home to watch the second half as it's a late game, and the court announcer is the same as the TV announcers. Crazy.
CBSSports Fantasy Sports Review: Site Fails to Deliver, Expensive & Outdated
CBSSports is not a good place for fantasy sports. It's a real bummer because you put in so much effort during the season, especially in fantasy baseball, but then the site goes down when you need to set your lineup. It's a real letdown. The player pages are not very good either. They look like they were made by someone who doesn't know what they're doing. The comments are sometimes wrong too. They can't even get something as simple as a player's handedness right. It's really frustrating. The mobile app is not much better. It's hard to use and doesn't have many features. It's a joke, really. And to make matters worse, CBSSports is really expensive. They take up to 25% of league fees, which is crazy. Other sites like ESPN are free and much better.
CBSSports Review: Great for Sports Fans, but Crowd Noise is Too Loud in NFL Football Broadcasts
CBSSports is a great website for all sports fans out there. I recently visited the website to watch some NFL Football games. However, I was disappointed to find out that the crowd noise was produced electronically. It was so loud that it drowned out most of what the sports casters were saying. This was very annoying to me, and I found myself looking for another game to watch or muting the sound altogether.
Despite this issue, I am a huge CBS fan, including CBS All Access, CBS News, and many other CBS programming options. I have always been a loyal supporter of CBS, and I hope that they take this negative response from me, a valued and loyal supporter, seriously.
I understand that the crowd noise is meant to create a more immersive experience for viewers, but it is just too loud and distracting. I believe that the NFL Football broadcasts would be much better without the extra loud noise clutter.
Overall, CBSSports is a great website for sports fans, and I will continue to use it for all my sports needs. However, I hope that CBS will consider toning down the crowd noise in future NFL Football broadcasts.
CBSSports Disappoints: Switching Games Mid-Play Without Warning
I was watching the Chiefs game on CBSSports and was really disappointed when they switched to a different game in the 4th quarter. I mean, come on, it's the only channel we can watch the Chiefs on! I don't understand why they would play other teams when they are supposed to be televising the Chiefs game. It's not just about the score, it's about the team play, the players, and how they progress together.
The title of the game clearly said "Chiefs vs Cardinals" and nothing else. So why would they switch between games that are not stated in the title? If they really had to change games, they should have let other stations televise the game instead of messing with our viewing experience.
Overall, I think CBSSports needs to do better when it comes to televising games. They should stick to the game that they promised to show and not switch to other games without any warning. It's frustrating for fans who are trying to watch their favorite team play. I hope they take this feedback seriously and make some changes to improve their service.
CBSSports Review: Great Fantasy Experience but Frustrating Ads Ads Ads
CBSSports is a website that offers a really good fantasy experience. However, if you pay for a league, you will also get ads ads ads. These ads come in all kinds of forms, from videos that play all the time to articles that lower your volume because of ads ads ads. You can tell them you hate their ads, but they don't care. If you complain on the forum, they remove their forum page. It's really frustrating to deal with all these ads ads ads.
A lot of sites offer an ad-free version, but CBSSports doesn't. I would think that $180 for a paid league should buy you an ad-free version. It's really disappointing that they don't offer this option. I play here because I've always played here, but I wouldn't recommend it to anyone and never have. Why? Because of ads ads ads.
Despite the ads, CBSSports does offer a great fantasy experience. They have a lot of features that make it easy to manage your team and stay up-to-date on the latest news. They also have a lot of different leagues to choose from, so you can find one that fits your needs.
Overall, if you can deal with the ads, CBSSports is a great option for fantasy sports. However, if you're looking for an ad-free experience, you might want to look elsewhere.
CBSSports Review: Great Content, But Frustrating Trading Process
CBSSports is a website that offers a variety of sports-related content, including news, scores, and fantasy leagues. While I appreciate the insights provided by analysts like Dave and Jamey, I have had a negative experience with the trading process on the site.
If you participate in a public league on CBSSports, the trading process can be frustrating. All it takes is four teams to object to a trade, and then the decision goes to a random commissioner who can veto the trade without providing any justification or reasoning. This can lead to an unfair process where trades are blocked without any clear explanation.
One of the biggest issues with the trading process on CBSSports is the lack of a timeframe for commissioners to make decisions. This means that they can hold up a trade or delay approving it for a period of time that can cause other issues, such as adding or dropping players. This can be especially frustrating if you are trying to make changes to your team quickly.
Overall, while I appreciate the content provided by CBSSports, the trading process and its unfairness is enough for me to recommend that you look elsewhere to play. There are other fantasy sports websites that offer a more transparent and fair trading process, which can make the experience more enjoyable for everyone involved.
CBSSports' Coverage of Golf Tournament Focused Too Much on Tiger Woods, Ignored Other Players
CBSSports could have done a better job with their coverage of the recent golf tournament. While it's great to see Tiger Woods attempting a comeback, it seems like the network focused too much on him and not enough on other players, especially those who were leading the tournament.
I couldn't help but wonder why the tournament wasn't named the Farmers Insurance "Tiger Woods" Open. Was CBS unsure if he would even make the cut? It's disappointing to see such a lack of attention given to other deserving players.
I'm sure I'm not the only one who feels this way. Many viewers may not take the time to write a review, but it's important for CBS to make an effort to provide better coverage for all players, not just the big names. Let's give the leaders and possible contenders the attention they deserve.
Disappointing Direction: My Review of CBSSports
I've been using CBSSports for over two decades now, and I have to say, I'm pretty disappointed with the direction they've taken. It seems like they've outsourced their entire operation to some third-party company that only cares about making a quick buck, and not about providing quality services to their customers.
This year, their tools just don't work. Their phone application is a complete disaster - it's slow, buggy, and just plain frustrating to use. And don't even get me started on their customer support. I've sent them 15 messages already, all about different application errors, and all I get in response is a generic "Thank you for your comments, we are aware of the problem." It's like they don't even care about fixing the issues their customers are experiencing.
Overall, I have to say that CBSSports is an unbelievably bad product with significantly worse customer support. It's a shame, because I used to really enjoy using their services. But now, I'm not sure I can even recommend them to anyone. If you're looking for a reliable sports platform, I'd suggest looking elsewhere.
Disappointing Experience with CBSSports App for AAF Games
I was really excited to watch the AAF games on the CBSSports app, but I have to say, I was pretty disappointed with the experience. I had heard from a lot of different sources that I would be able to stream the games on the app, but it turned out to be a lot more complicated than I expected.
First of all, unlike the NFL Network app where the game just starts playing automatically, I had to go to a separate viewing list and select the game I wanted to watch. Then, I had to select my TV provider, which was really frustrating because I don't even have one! I downloaded the app specifically so I could watch the games without having to pay for cable or satellite TV.
I ended up using my DirecTV NOW login to try to watch the game, but even then, I wasn't allowed to watch it. I don't understand why they would give me the option to use DirecTV NOW if I still can't watch the game. It just seems like a waste of time and effort.
On top of all that, I was really annoyed that I had to go through all these extra steps just to watch the game. Why can't it be as simple as the NFL Network app, where the game just starts playing automatically? It's really frustrating to have to deal with all this additional bull$#*! just to watch a game.
Overall, I was pretty disappointed with my experience using the CBSSports app to watch the AAF games. I hope they can make some improvements to the app in the future to make it easier and more user-friendly.
Disappointing Predictions: My Experience with CBSSports
I gotta say, I'm pretty disappointed with CBSSports. I mean, I've lost a good chunk of change because of their predictions. And let me tell you, they couldn't even get one hockey game right. What's the point of making predictions if you're just gonna embarrass yourself? Like, come on. The Sharks and the Ducks? They said it was gonna be a close game. But no, it was the biggest blowout of all the playoffs. And then they said the Kings needed to win, but they had no chances and couldn't get the puck on the other side. And don't even get me started on the Sharks vs. Knights game. CBSSports said the Sharks were gonna totally win because the Knights lack playoff experience. But no, the Knights completely destroyed the Sharks.
And what's with CBSSports saying their predictions are from an advanced computer model? They've said that with like all of their picks and they've been wrong every single time. I mean, seriously, what's the deal?
I'm never going with their picks again. It's just not worth it.
CBSSports Live Sports Streaming Review: Poor Video Quality and Difficult Cancellation Process
Signing up for CBSSports to watch live sports is a breeze, and they charge your credit card right away. However, the video quality for most college baseball games is subpar and often starts late or has issues with the feed. It's important to note that there isn't much information available online about your account, and it can be quite challenging to figure out how to cancel your subscription.
I personally cancelled my subscription through my university website and received confirmation that it was successful. I only had one login, but I was able to watch all of CBS's video content. However, I was billed the following month, and when I attempted to get a refund through the web interface, they claimed that I had not cancelled my other account. I was only aware of one account and had only ever used one login.
After sending me another cancellation email, they refused to refund the month they had billed me after my initial cancellation request. The only method of contact is through the web interface, and the responses I received were quite rude. They made me feel like I wasn't very smart, which was quite frustrating.
Overall, I don't think I'll be doing business with CBSSports again. While signing up was easy, the video quality was poor, and cancelling my subscription was a nightmare. The lack of information available online and the rude customer service made for a very unpleasant experience.

I wish I could rate it a zero
Been awaiting the AAF for weeks now and was assured from many different broadcasts and adverts alike that you could stream the games on the app... well, that's bull$#*!. Unlike the NFL Network app where the game is just ON, you have to go to a separate viewing list, select what you want to watch, select your TV provider (hello, I don't have one, that's why I got the damn app) and then log in and pray you qualify. I used my DirecTV NOW to log in since that was an option. Now it says I'm not allowed to watch the game... so why give DirecTV NOW as an option if I still can't use it... and why doesn't the NFL Network as for additional bull$#*!...?!? It just plays the damn game.
CBS SUCKS
I have already lost $30 from you because of your trash predictions. You can't even get one hockey game right. What is the point of making predictions if all you do is embarass yourself. Oh oh, the Sharks and the Ducks is going to be a very close game. NO, it was the biggest blowout of all the playoffs. The Kings need to win this game so they have to win. NO, they had o chances and couldn't get the puck on the other side. The shark are going to totally win because the Knights lack playoff experience. NO, they completely destroyed the Sharks. Why do you guys say that it is from an advanced computer model. You guys have said that with like all of your picks and you have been wrong every single time. NEVER EVER GOING WITH YOUR PICKS AGAIN.

Tony Romo announcing.
As a football fan I am very disturbed by the continual blabbering of Tony Romo when trying to watch a game. My understanding is the announcers need to be unbiased and call games based on the plays. Due to the constant talking, word salad and blatant dislike Mr. Romo has for certain players and teams I have been forced to watch games with the sound OFF. He certainly ruined the moment for the Chiefs win of the 58th Super Bowl, along with the enjoyment of the chief's fans. I'm not sure why he felt it was necessary. He is definitely NOT
worth the 17 million a year he is getting paid.
Claimed loss: Loss of enjoyment of hearing a game called fairly.
Desired outcome: Tony Romo to be replaced.

Tony Romo Announcing
During this years super bowl(super bowl 58) Tony Romo and Jim Nantz were commentating for the game on CBS. While Jim Nantz would talk a little bit about stats, then Tony Romo would go off about how the 49ers should have seen something coming or saying how good Patrick Mahomes is. He was very biased and did not make the game very fun to watch or listen to. I would suggest never make him commentate on another big game like that.
Desired outcome: Tony Romo to be fired or lowered term

Tony Romo announcing
Tony Romo's announcing tonight is terrible. He is very biased, will not shut his mouth, and sounds like he was out partying all night. His analysis is elementary, his insight is mostly inaccurate, and he needs to be fired. Get rid of Romo doing any more announcing. I am specifically referring to his playoff and super bowl announcing, Feb 11, 2024. Time to let this joker go.
Claimed loss: Loss of enjoyment of watching the super bowl. Had to mute the TV due to Romo's BS antics.
Desired outcome: Discontinue using Romo as an announcer.

I have been watching NFL football since the late 60's, and there have been some very good sportscasters over the years But Tony Romo has to go. He is so prejudiced for some teams that it is a complete turnoff. He makes stupid remarks and misses some of the most obvious things he should be talking about. He never shuts up and does not let Jim get into the conversation when he is on a roll, I have been turning off the voice when I have to watch CBS, but the Super Bowl game was the icing on the cake. He was for the 49ers and did not hide it at all. I am a Steelers fan and really was not invested in who won. But after about 10 minutes I was all about the Chiefs winning just so Tony would eat crow. You really need to replace him with someone who does not have a vested interest in who wins the game. You have always been a great place to watch the game but when he is on everyone else watching is off. Your team at the beginning, half time and end is wonderful a great combination of people and thoughts that work well together and let each other talk. Keep them and get rid of Romo.
Tony Romo the alleged color analyst
While I do not profess to be an expert in the field of football, I certainly know that speaking over plays being called, talking incessantly, and playing armchair coach, should not occur during any football game, much less the more important ones that have been on the past few weeks.
Listening to Tony Romo is worse than nails being raked on a chalkboard. I literally am "pissed" when I hear he will be playing color analyst at the games I want to watch. Unfortunately, not watching the game or turning the volume off is not an option in order to completely enjoy football. However, his fake "enthusiasm" and commentary is so phony it is a struggle to watch games.
For the love of God, pay the man off and get him off the television! He wasn't that fabulous of a quarterback and makes an even worse analyst! Please, I don't profess to be an expert, but I cannot think of another football analyst that makes me cringe as. much as he does. He is arrogant, obnoxious, and needs to be benched.
Desired outcome: Fired Tony Romo!

kc-bal game on sunday, 1/28/2024
This is an English-speaking nation by history, custom, and the preference of the majority of us in the U.S. Why are you broadcasting in Spanish?
I either immediately change the chanel, or turn off the sound. There is a Spanish option on my tv settings - why don't they use that. If Spanish speakers don't like that, they should consider moving to a Spanish-speaking country.
CBS SUCKS when broadcasting in Spanish.
Claimed loss: Enjoyment of the football game
Desired outcome: Use English

Tony Roma is out of control
Broadcasting should be impartial- Tony Roma is clearly for Bills. Kansas City has ball he draws on screen so views can’t see. PLEASE remove him from serious games. Does he know football yes - is he on everyone’s nerves - completely. PLEASE we are losing faith in the NFL because of him.

I refuse to watch NFL with Tony Romo. He is horrible, arrogant and just obnoxious! I am going to ban NFL and hit social media is he is back in big games next year. Please bring in anyone BUT him. It makes NFL miserable!
Cbs football commentary
I know i am not the only one that has complaints about Tony Romo. He is the most onesided commentator I have seen from CBS or any other broadcasting company. While watching the game we actually turn the radio on to listen to the local commentery. We just can't listen to the diarrhea of the mouth that comes from Tony Romo. While listening to him you can tell if he likes one team over another because he is so negative towards the team he doesn't like. I am so surprised the NFL has not stepped in and asked for changes in the commentary staff at CBS due to the revenue that Tony Romo could be costing the teams he does not like.
Desired outcome: Tony Romo's contract not renewed. Or just release him from his contract.

Watching the Buffalo Chiefs game tony romo Hundred percent is so wrong all the time he talks just to hear himself talk we’re sitting here with the sound off and enjoying the game because he is so horrible
Oh bipolar
Tony Romo
Please find something else for Tony Romo to do.
I try to listen to the games he's announcing with the volume down, occasional turn it up and he is just so bad. He never stops talking he has diarrhea of the mouth. He is wrong a lot. He says so many things, he gives so many options one of them may be right, but mostly he is consistently wrong and he talks way too much. Please help football fans across the country. Tony Romo is ruining the games on your network for most of us.
PLEASE DO SOMETHING !

Browns steelers game
The announcers for this game were extremely one-sided when calling plays and talking about plays during this game. We want unbiased announcers who will talk about each team fairly! If we wanted to hear about the Steelers all game then we would watch a sports show about them. We just want our team to be treated fairly when doing one of their games! Thank You, From Disappointed in Ohio
Claimed loss: Biased Announcing!
Desired outcome: Unbiased Announcing!
Relentless, offensive, overbearing commentary
Is it really fair for ONE person to ruin football broadcast on CBS channels ? Tony Romo was a great (and underappreciated) quarterback but as a "commentator" he absolutely sucks. Since he started at CBS on average he talks about 100 minutes PER PLAY (despite this being physically impossible) - he apparently know EVERY single thing each player could have done, should have done, was thinking about doing and would have been better off doing.
I'm sure he has SOME decent insight, but he just will not shut the HeXX up and let paying viewers enjoy the game. I pay for TV to watch Football, NOT to hear Tony Romo ramble endlessly just to hear himself speak. If he could just lighten the hell up and NOT be so freakin overbearing his commentary would be better received...
Desired outcome: Please just shut the help up, or start taking Xanax before your broadcasts....
Announcers for tennessee vs texas a&m football game played 10/14/23
The two booth announcers today for Tennessee/Texas AM game are some of the best in the business Their description of football plays and games is absolutely near perfect.
My complaint is they try to be game officials. They call fouls before play is over and if the game officials do not make a likewise call, these officials are directly blamed for missing the call.
Whether it is truly a foul or not, they SHOULD NOT MAKE CALL from the booth. That is reason the officials are trained.. All officials are graded and evaluated by their Supervisor or his representative.
I was an official for over 20 years .
The TV Booth is not the place where missed calls are announced to thousands of people watching. The booth is the place where the officials calls are announced to the audience.
Tony Romo must go PLEASE
It's become impossible for me to enjoy watching any NFL football game where Romo is the commentator. He talks and talks and talks and takes away from the game. Every single fellow fan I know can't stand him. I'm 59 yrs old so I've been watching the game all my life and this guy won't stop talking. He acts like he's the Coach, play caller, referee. He loves Brady. He takes away from the live game. I've missed live plays over his stupid replay summaries. Please get rid of him.
Desired outcome: Get rid of Tony Romo
Amazon suddenly cancelling prime accounts
My Amazon account was closed yesterday without any warning. I got an email that it was being investigated for violation of conditions of use with no further information. I sent several emails and got standardized responses that I would hear from them. I had over $1000 in gift cards which I can no longer use. They disabled all my ebooks on my Kindle. They disabled my Alexa devices and prime tv. Upon investigation I found that this has happened recently to thousands of people with no explanations and no recourse. They have never again been able to access and use their prime accounts or their own money that was in gift registries and gift cards. I believe with your great skills you can get to the bottom of this and help us recover what we have already paid for. I can share screenshots of their correspondence as well as screenshots of the conversations on Facebook from some of the many people who have also had their accounts suddenly closed with no rhyme or reason.
Desired outcome: Reopen my account with all my books and gift cards intact
CBS NFL commentator Romo
Tony Romo is not fit to broadcast NFL games unless it’s the Cowboys against…. Anyone. His bias against any former foes (Eagles stands out) is undeniable. On the opening game of 23-24 season in the 4th quarter he managed to say “hell”, “Jesus” and “[censored]” in the last 3 minutes while desperately rooting for the Patriots to pull out the win. A commentator should at least attempt to be objective. He needs to clean up his mouth or go watch the game at home in his man cave.
Lack of Coverage for Women's Basketball on CBSSports: A Disappointing Letdown
I gotta say, I'm pretty bummed out about the lack of coverage for Women's Basketball on CBSSports. It's just not fair that the men's game gets all the love and attention, while the ladies are left in the dust. I mean, come on, where are the stats for individual players? It's like you're barely even meeting the Title!X requirements.
I had to go and download a whole separate app just to get the level of information I want for Women's Basketball. And let me tell you, it's a pain in the butt to have to switch back and forth between apps just to keep up with both the men's and women's games.
I don't know if this is a problem for other sports on CBSSports, but for Basketball, it's definitely a letdown. I mean, we all know that the women's game is just as exciting and competitive as the men's, so why aren't they getting the same level of coverage?
Overall, I'm just really disappointed in CBSSports for not stepping up their game when it comes to Women's Basketball. It's time to give these ladies the recognition they deserve!
CBSSports Announcers Disrespect Kings in Playoff Game Coverage
CBSSports is a website that covers a lot of sports news and events. One of the events that they covered recently was the King and Warrior playoff game in Sacramento. This was a BIG event, and a lot of people were excited to watch it.
The game took place in Sacramento, and it was the first game of the playoffs. The announcers who were covering the game were supposed to be impartial and fair, but unfortunately, they made some demeaning comments about the Kings. This was not cool, especially since this was a playoff game and the Kings had worked hard to get there.
The announcers should have been more respectful of the Kings and their playing record this year. They should have treated the Kings players with the same respect that they showed the Warrior players. This is what professionalism is all about, and it's what fans expect from their announcers.
Overall, CBSSports is a great website for sports fans. They cover a lot of different sports and events, and they do a good job of keeping fans informed. However, they need to make sure that their announcers are more professional and respectful in the future. Fans deserve better than what they got during the King and Warrior playoff game.
