My Physician prescribed a new medication for me on Aug 15. Today is Sept 12 -I have been trying to get this filled since then. It is nearly impossible to get anyone on the phone at the 3rd Ave San Mateo , CA location. I need them to fax a pre approval/ claim denial to my Dr so they can send the info to my insurance company. This is my 3rd attempt at calling the pharmacy- at the first day they just hung up. Now I just get put on hold - this time its been 56 min. I spoke with special medications of Walgreens but they said that my branch hasn’t filed online so they can’t help. Its a vicious cycle. I’m at a loss - help !
Desired outcome: Answer the phone , send my request through the proper channels, follow through and communicate with me

My husband has cancer. His doctor called diazepam 2 mg to walgreen Reidville Rd in Spartanburg. They didn't have the medicine to fill the medicine nor would they transfer it to another chain of walgreen. It took a week to get any of this medicine. Tonight hig dr wrote for him to get homatropine methylbromide hydrocodone 600 ml. When I dropped it off to be filled they looked to see if they could fill it and told me it would be a hour and half to fill. We leave and come back in that amount of time was told it would be 25 mins more. Finally the girl goes around to fill it then comes back and told me they didn't have enough to fill it after waiting all this time. I asked why they hadn't checked before and she said bye and walked off.
