The new xbox 360 comes onto the market & I immediately went to reserve one for myself or pre-order. I head there on Thursday or Friday and put a 50.00$ deposit down to get mine as soon as they come in. The employee tells me I will be getting it Monday or Tuesday & the latest by Wednesday, & they will give me a call as soon as they come in, I also recall them saying I was #10 on the reserve list. Naturally I am excited to get my new console as soon as possible.
The weekend goes by & my anticipation is growing to get the new xbox 360 that everybody has been ranting over. Monday comes & I do not receive a call. Tuesday rolls around and I wait for a call until about 1:00 pm. then I give them a call & they say there still in transport 4-6 days in transport, & they only received a total shipment of four on Monday. Wednesday my anticipation has come & gone, it's around 2:30 pm. & still no call, I call them up and ask if they have received a shipment of brand new xbox 360, I also state I reserved a copy & that I was supposed to be getting a call about my console latest by Wednesday, the employee "Alex" immediately says no & shrugs it off then says that's sounds about right, having no idea what I said probably not even paying attention to what I am saying. I did not even want to deal with him because from how he handled it he seemed as though he had the IQ of a pee. I head to the Gamestop location in Stevenson Ranch, California to trade in my two game titles with the deal for 40 titles are 25.00$ for a trade-in, as I am in the process of trading my games in I ask a women employee helping me, I also am wondering have you guys recently gotten any new Xbox 360's In and she goes into the backroom to check & I see atleast 20 new xbox 360 consoles on the shelves, she then comes out with the "last one". I then proceed to ask & tell them I reserved mine & pre-ordered it why was I not notified that they were in, but the employees at gamestop must not have finished jr.high because they could not even comprehend sentences to come up with a excuse.
Not only does this happen but I have to now drive back home to get my xbox 360 even though I called to ask if they were in stock. When I return they totally botch and screw my returns up by 25.00-50.00$ the deal of the xbox 360 is located right here http://www.gamestop.com/gs/landing/xb360250trade/default.aspx On my receipt the wireless controller is only 14.03$ when it is supposed to be 25.00$ as well as my console including the controller is supposed to be 100.00$ trade in value but was only 85.00$ & then he tried to proceed to tell me that the 20g hard drive is not worth 30.00$ when it says right on the website 30$- trade in value, I specifically asked them to go onto the website & look but they would not, apparently gamestop employees do not even know there own specials going on. He then proceeded to try and tell me its a % of what I get which makes no sense at all, because I added it all up & I should have only paid 74.94$ instead of 98.94$.
This was such a disappointing experience I was so surprised how bad the service was at Gamestop it has never happened before & wont again because I wont be pre-ordering anything from there & or Gamestop again.
yup your totally right those four people got there's Monday. I am talking about Wednesday & I also did not mention that I went in on Tuesday also to see if they had COD mw2 used, & there were new xbox's on the shelves, three shelves high, & when the employee tells me I will be getting a call when the first 10 come in that should have been Tuesday if not Wednesday morning. The point of the matter is that I reserved my copy #10th on the list I was told & I even called to ask if they were in before I went in & was a walk-in asking to buy the new xbox 360, on Wednesday then I told them I reserved my copy why had I not been called.
