I purchased a Hyundai Elantra 12/31/2019 and bought the GAP protection at that time. Due to a change in family circumstances, I traded the Elantra in on a Nissan Frontier. Although the trade in was 4/19/21, the title shows 5/4/2021. I applied for the refund due on the GAP policy and went to the dealership and took in my original paperwork to file for the refund. After a few weeks I called to see if they could tell me when I might expect the check and was told at that time I needed to come in and sign a paper to get the refund which I did. On May 14 I called and spoke to someone in the finance office and was told that the refund check would go to the bank that financed it. I called the bank and was told that was not the case, to call the dealership which I did once again. I did not receive a call back so I called the program administrator listed on the GAP policy and was told yes I was due a refund, the amount I should receive and that the check would come from the dealership. Called the dealership again and finally on June 15 I received a voice mail from Jeff at the dealership saying he had talked with the bank and the check had been cut and would be mailed out to me tomorrow. Today is the 28th and I still have not received my refund. I called the dealership again and left a rather curt message so of course now the really do not want to return my call. I am having some concerns about the financial dealings of the Greeley Colorado Hyundai dealership and and filing this complaint because of those concerns.
Desired outcome: Refund check.
