I have a 2019 Hyundai Sante Fe, I purchased in 4/2023. This car was purchased with approximately 48k miles and it appeared to be in perfect condition. Several months after I purchased it, I noticed a small area of paint coming off on the front right fender. I spoke to the dealership I purchased the car from, they informed me it was a Hyundai issue. I was told by several places the paint was a defect from Hyundai, also a friend who had a white Hyundai wit the same issue. She suggested I reach out to Corporate. I did, this has not yet been successful. I was sent to a local Hyundai dealer in Athens, horrible experience the service manager informed me they didn't deal with that. I called Corporate again, 1 hour on the phone she gave me the number of a dealership that wanted to charge me $275 administrative fee to LOOK at my car, take pictures and send it to corporate for a possible review. This car cost me over $22,000, I was not impressed with driving around with my hood and fender having areas of paint coming off. I took my car to Macco in Athens where I was informed this is a known problem for Hyundai's white paint. I had my car painted and would like to be reimbursed the cost plus my rental expense.
Claimed loss: $625 for paint, $125 for rental, total request $750. I have copies of my oringal receipts for repair and rental
Desired outcome: Reimbursement for the expense I incurred to bring my car back to complete paint.
