My granddaughter Destiny Rivera is a pt employee. She was approached by Ms. Rodriguez, Manager on July 25 regarding a fake $20 bill in the cash drawer Destiny was assigned to. Mind you, the drawer already had cash in it. Ms. Rodriguez approached her and another employee stating that they had to replace the $20 bill. Destiny informed her that she just got there and wasn't aware of the bill. Ms. Rodriguez blatantly and insistently asked my granddaughter to pay $10, for half the cost of this fake $20 bill. Destiny repeated to her that she did not place it there. Ms. Rodriguez insisted, and my granddaughter, out of fear of losing her very first job complied. The other employee refused as she also stated that it wasn't her fault. May I ask how Ms. Rodriguez was able to or allowed to make such an accusation, without proof, and force my granddaughter to pay her for something she didn't do. I believe that an investigation should've been conducted to hold the individual(s) responsible pay for this instead of Destiny. Several of the employees are neighbors in my residential neighborhood and inform me that Ms. Rodriguez is very condescending and unprofessional when speaking to the younger employees. This has taken a toll on my granddaughter. She suffers from migraines and Ms. Rodriguez has made them worse. I ask that this matter be looked into and I insist the $10 she took from Destiny and not the other employee be returned to her. I am prepared to file a complaint with the department of Consumer Affairs and take legal action for defamation of character and falsely accusing her for something that wasn't proven.
