I recently helped my 78 year old father negotiate the purchase of a pre-owned vehicle from Cape Coral Chrysler Jeep Dodge. My initial contact was on the phone with sales person Brandon Manomat. In short he questioned my intelligence after I shared what we wanted to accomplish, not a good first experience. The following day I got ahold of the pre-owned sales manager Rocky Rycenga sent him all the particulars and photos of my Dad's trade-in and we were able to agree on numbers and he agreed to deliver the vehicle and pick up the trade 57 miles away. He turned me over to another salesperson Matthew Oliver who was very professional and a pleasure to work with. Before Matthew left the dealership to bring the vehicle to us the finance manager Wendy Duncan called my Dad and lied to him about the factory warranty that was left on the vehicle he was purchasing and convinced him to purchase an extended warranty. I fortunately caught Mathew before he left when I found out about the warranty and asked to speak with Wendy who knew I was negotiating on behalf of my father. I politely asked her to remove the warranty, she tried to convince me that again there was no factory full coverage left. Fact is there is at least 4 years/55, 000 miles of full coverage left. I again asked that she remove the warranty, her tone changed and she called me a "d**k" as she was hanging up. I was stunned and upset so I sent the general manager Jay Ganzi an email on what took place. He called me a short time later and apologized for the way I was treated and told me Wendy Duncan had recently given her notice and was on her way out anyway. He asked if there was anything that he could do, I asked if he could improve the deal for my father that would be helpful. He promised to call me the following day to let me know what he could do, ..that was a week ago. I was also promised a phone call on if they could locate a second key for the vehicle, that call also never happened. The insulting name I was called by the finance manager was in itself inexcusable but for the bad experience to be compounded by not receiving a follow up call as promised is very telling. Oh, almost forgot I was promised an email with copies of the documents my father signed, that never happened either .
Desired outcome: Would like copies of paper work my Dad signed and a $2000.00 back to my Dad for a second key and for the way we were treated.
