2-9-23 4:00 pm. went to the Popeyes at 43392 U.s. Hwy 27, Davenport, FL 33837
The dining room was not busy when we arrived, and an older pair of ladies ahead of us. Looked like a shift change because there was a lot of traffic in and out of the kitchen and keys being tossed across the counter by the manger in the grey shirt. And workers kidding around speaking in creole. Employees playing with their hair braids and no headband or bonnet. The cashier was concerned about her food, and someone replied to her that she just ate. Instead of taking care of the customers waiting and the line getting long. Finally, placed my order at 4:10 for a 10 piece mix mild and 2 sides of fries. Not once did anyone say there will be any delay because all they had was dark meat, nor was there an apology. Till after standing around in the dirty dinning area.@4:45 the manger hollers to me that there is only. Dark meat if we wanted it. I said no but my husband asked how much longer. I jokingly asked if it would be another hour but she moved on from us. And said out loud to the other worker that the dark meat was on sale from that point on. After we waited 25 min, I asked for a refund and she had attitude. At one point the cashier was taking money and dealing with the register but never saw her wash her hands to go deal with food. In fact, no one had gloves on.
Desired outcome: better service, quality product.
