June 25, 2007 Jimmy talked Ronald Banks into purchasing a timeshare by telling him that he could he make the timeshare profitable by renting it out before the first payment was due. Ron and I had an agreement not to purchase so we said no. I left the two of them talking and when I returned Ron had signed the contract and written a check for the down payment. I explained that we were not interested in purchasing at that time and could not afford the down payment. Jimmy started explaining his money making scheme and Ron went for it hook line and sinker. They insisted I sign the contract and trust Jimmy. Jimmy told us not to tell the verification officer that he was working a deal for us and if asked to say no. Jimmy started calling us mom and dad and telling Ron how good he looked. He told Ron, not me because I wasn't buying his bull, don't worry. I will take care of everything for you. He gave us his cell phone as proof of his honesty.I eventually signed rather than argue, but when we returned home, I told Ron to call and cancel the contract. He refused and now we are stuck with the timeshare.

Exploria Resorts - sales fraud
We were grossly mislead in the purchase of our timeshare, the major one being that we were told they would sell our old one to purchase the new one. Absolutely did not happen, so now we have been paying on it at a horrible interest rate we never would have agreed to if we new it was not going to be paid off right away. Can no longer keep paying for something we did not plan on and when I explained all this to the finance dept. I was told well you know salesmen, they will say anything to make a sale.

Wonderful system of JUSTICE we have in this GRAND LAND ain't it? You know, if someone tried this, selling a TV set, or a USED CAR on a neighbor, or the guy down the street, and it wasn't what it was sold as, they could be sued in civil court, have their life and credibility ruined, and possibly do jail time depending on how severe their actions were. This could be anyone, in the regular Joe class. But not a big well funded crook with lots of funding to buy their way out. These folks can say anything, and do anything, no matter how unethical, or immoral, and there will be no legal consequence to them what so ever. According to what the legal people say, they are perfect within the law to do what they do, and say what they say, and never be held accountable for anything. This is "CRAPITALISM", AND THE "FEE" MARKET SYSTEM in it's full glory and splendor, and we wouldn't dare want to interfere with the "CRAPITALIST" way of making money, would we? Even if it means deceiving someone, or lying to someone to do so!

We own one too, and I truly never wanted this POS, but my fiancée at the time was so adamant at the time there was no walking away from this bag of vomit. These ### actually pitted us against each other, and used her to badger and threaten me to get the papers signed. Stay away from the Grand Sleaze Resort if you know what's good for you. Like the others say, this is really a bad deal, and your screwed for life. It truly is time to rise up against this swine and put an end to the madness.
Grand Seas sets whole new parameters to bait and switch methods. I've been stuck as and owner since 2004 and have been through 3 versions including their last one moving my Race Week (7) unit back one week and thereby reducing my rent money about 75%
Wish I could give it away.
