Strax Rejuvenation

In late April of 2017, I received Face/Neck lift surgery at Strax in Ft. Lauderdale, Fl...

Soon after that in June & July 2017, three immediate family members passed away in another state which I had to address.

Then in 2019, I went to my dermatologist that I has been seeing for more than 15 years and when she saw me, she said “what has happened to your face”. She was very upset at the way that my skin on either side of my eyes was vey “swollen” and that there were very “puffy” areas under each eye, specifically more apparent under the left eye.

Her comment was that she was very upset as to the results of the surgery that I received at Strax but then said “do not let anyone else touch your face”. That is how upset that she was.

So she began some treatments to try to reduce the damage that had been done adjacent to each eye as well as below each eye. Once again, the areas of my face to each side of both eyes appear to be very swollen and the same for beneath each eye.

Additionally, the area around my mouth that were to be lifted remained basically as they were pre=surgery. A lift of this area around and beneath my mouth (jowls) were the primary reasons for the surgery.

So, I waited a while in hopes that the “swollen” appearances adjacent to each eye and below each eye would improve to no avail.

And the areas around my lips remained the same.

There were also some obvious errors made during the surgery behind each ear.

So, I decided to go back to Strax to see if they could and would address the errors that were made in my surgery in hopes that they would correct all.

However, due to COVID, I was unable toffee free to make an appointment with Strax until October 2020.

So I went to Strax in October 2020 to have them look at my face in hopes that they would see the mistakes that had become so apparent to me and my dermatologist and others.

I consulted with Doctor Hamm and he said all of this could be “fixed” (the areas around both eyes and below each eye, the areas adjacent and below my lips and the areas behind my ears. Basically, he said he could correct ALL of this area (Mistakes).

So, I then consulted with Daniella Ramirez, with whom I had originally consulted for the previous surgery. We discussed what the doctor said and she worked very hard to arrange additional surgery to correct errors in the previous surgery that had obviously distorted and misconfigured my face in several areas.

To my surprise, after consulting with the Manager of the center, she basically quoted me the full price for still another face/neck surgery.

To her credit, she stepped put several times to consult with management, but got nowhere. I then asked to speak with the manager. He came into her office and not only refused to admit that any errors had been made previously, despite what I told him that one of his own doctors had said, but he also refused to offer to change the amount I would have to pay them to have another surgery to correct all of the errors from the previous surgery. As a further insult from him, he also said that I could not authorize a reduction I the rate quoted due to the fact that I gained weight sine the initial surgery.

What an insult. The man ACTUALLY told me that he would not provide any relief to my concerns, but also added insult to injury by telling me that I would have to pay full price and more due to my weight gain over the course of the COVID pandemic.

I walked out of there feeling extremely disappointed, but very, very insulted by what the manager said regarding not only the fact that he would not admit that there were obvious errors made in my previous surgery that he would not authorize another surgery at no costs or even a reduction in the cost, but that the surgery to correct the errors that their own doctor had acknowledged would cost me more because of my weight gain during COVID. As to the weight gain, it was only about 15 pounds.

So I am writing these comments some 20 months after my last extremely disappointing and insulted visit at Strax to express that I remain very unhappy, very distorted and very insulted by the way that I was treated and spoken to at my last consultation in October 2019.

I have waited this long as I wanted to consult with my doctor and other cosmetic surgeons to get their opinions as to how my face looked in comparison to how it looked pre-surgery at Strax.

The consensus of ALL that I consulted with are the same. There were errors made that resulted in “swollen” areas adjacent to each of my eyes, “Swollen” areas below each eye, a noticeable and significant difference in the areas beneath each eye, Surgical errors behind my ears and no change in the areas below and to each side of my mount, which again was the primary reason for the surgery initially.

I also want it understood that I am not one to complain and/or to try to get something for nothing at any time in my life.

And the fact that I know what results one HSHOLD from face & neck lift surgery and how long the results should last. I am well educated on all of the above.

In closing, I would not only not recommend dealing with Strax in Ft. Lauderdale for ANY type of cosmetic surgery or procedure due the fact that obvious errors were made during the course of my procedures there, but that there was no efforts made by management to attempt to acknowledge and assist me in correcting errors that were acknowledged by Dr. Hamm during my consultation in October 2020.

I do want to acknowledge the kindness and honesty of both Dr. Hamm and Ms. Ramirez. They both were doing their best to try to “make me whole” again.

But the manger would not only try to assist me or acknowledge that obvious errors and distortion of my face were the result of procedures performed at Strax, but further insulted me as to my weight gain during COVID which resulted in him actually increasing the quote for procedures to correct previous errors made by his center.

This, I would not only advise NOT to go to Strax in Ft. Lauderdale for ANY type of cosmetic surgery or procedure, but would sternly advise to stay away from that center all together due to the way that it is managed and the willingness of that management to acknowledge obvious procedural errors made during the course of surgery performed at Strax, but the fact after was very, vey insulted by the I was treated by management and insulted by the,

My final comment is stay away from Strax in ft’ Lauderdale for any type of cosmetic surgery or procedure in the facial area.

They are extremely poorly managed and should not be trusted to provide adequate relief and/or support for surgical and procedural errors made by them and their medical staff resulted in the distortion of my face and head.

Please note that today, some four plus years after my procedures to my face remains “swollen” around my eyes and the areas in my jowls area are as they were pre and soon after the surgery in April 2017. This should not be the fact as to any of these results two, three, four or five years after a face and neck lift.

I hope that the staff of Strax in Ft. Lauderdale will take the time to review my comments and attempt to reach me for some type of resolution, but I must admit that I extremely doubt that they will due to the extremely poor and incompetent management there.
