Our 13 year old daughter was talked into buying Nike hyperdunk for $99.98 from the salesman on
12/12/10 6:48 pm at the Finish line store #594 in The Oaks Mall Gainesville Fl, She told the guy she wanted basketball shoes, he showed her 2 pair, the store was closing soon(Sunday close at 7pm) and frankly she made a rash decision period. when she got home she realized she spent all her money and basketball season was almost over and she'd rather have clothes. she wanted to take them back itmediatly, but we live 45 miles away, have 4 kids home on Christmas vacation it being the holiday and both of us work full time so it just wasent in our schedule. I will swear on a bible those shoes have sat in my closet unworn in the original box/bag with reciept since then, today 1-3-11 my husband got home from work early drove down to Gainesville, went in the store and told the store manager he had a return.Having barely opened the box the manager said very sarcasticly, 'okay well they are worn' to my husband reply ' No, no they were not since we've bought them, do you sell used merchandise?' Appearently the little bit of dust on the tread is his proof, he con't to show a newer pair of shoes to my husband and 5 other onlooking customers, none of who could tell the difference, but the manager Jon said it doesnt matter, he can tell and a store credit is all he could issue, And he was given the number to customer service. This is unacceptable, the return policy is clearly stated on the back of the receipt, and Nowhere does it say its up to one mans approval. I will never shop there AGAIN!

I manage a Finish Line store. Whenever you checked out, did he have you fill out a sports illisturated slip and sign the bottom? To be charged for SI the associate has to physically scan a SI card that has been signed. Whoever in FL that did make the extra sell and didn't get your sig could be in deep trouble for fraud. I would look futher into this.
I purchased a pair of shoes for my Grandson from Finish Line in the Oaks Mall in Gainesville, Fl. in 2010 and they said that they wanted to give him 10 free issues of Sports Illustrated Magazine. Well, I just checked my statement for my Visa Card that I paid for the shoes with and I have been billed fifty five dollars and fourty-four cents for a subscription that I did not authorize. Finish Line has given my credit card number to Sports Illustrated. I am reporting this to the Better Business Bureau and I have called Sports Illustrated customer service and told them to remove this off of my credit card. Also, if this is not taken care of, my credit card company said that they will handle this for me. Please do not buy anything from Finish Line in Gainesville, FL. Thank You. F.P. Gainesville, Fl.
